Who is Annadetty to Amidatty? I thought the latter's girlfriend was named Eleanor.

I was a little confused at first because it sounded like Synelwyn was going to clear out the entirety of Tipa. I'm very glad that's not the case. But did I miss the part where she stopped in a dungeon to pick up the fallen caravanners? That seemed a bit vague.
Uh wait, she didn't bring bodies TO Tipa? Okay, I'm confused.

You say later that "young Amidatty" is the son of Annadetty. Is that an homage or did you just feel like giving Amidatty some more family?

The mail moogle says that he has a delivery of ashes for Synelwyn, but then that's not mentioned again until Synelwyn goes to send ashes to Fal Iseul. Am I missing something? Oh, is it that the Lilty's body was cremated elsewhere and then her ashes were delivered to Synelwyn, and then Synelwyn told the moogle to deliver them back to Tipa?

I was going to ask if your Selkie language was based on anythinf, so thank you for going into detail on that. Very impressed.

Overall, this was just wonderful. An engaging trip from start to finish, minus what's probably some careless reading on my part. The tidbits of worldbuilding were essentially my drug, and I kept reading to get the next high. I sincerely hope you have inspiration for more Crystal Chronicles fics, because I would drop everything to read them the moment you upload.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for crafting this work. It gives me so much warmth. Two characters brought into one another's world by their bitter duties to the dead and finding hope in one another and the resolve to build a better future. This is the kind of thing I love. I also adore the use of strange is not bad in their characterization with a lilty-walkie hybrid and cynical mortician. All and all, I love this story.
