Hello there! I usually don’t leave comments or reviews but this time I really had to. I’ve read every good asterix story in English that I can find, most of them many times over. But I heard of this one through Zeragii some years ago. I thought I would never be able to read it because I don’t speak Spanish, but a week ago I decided to try my look with google translate. And the results were surprisingly good! Some changes on my part and I had the full story! And let me tell you, it was absolutely excellent.
The story, the way you write the characters just EVERYTHING was amazing. I found myself laughing and awwing out loud reading the story on multiple occasions. So thank you, for giving us all the masterpiece
I might not speak Spanish, and it might’ve been a pain to translate it all but it was so worth it!
Much love from a Swedish asterix fan, and now, fan of yours too!

I really, really love this story. I like how you delve into each character and give them multidimensional layers, even if they are only fairly minor. The villagers are genuinely supportive of each other, while, ironically, blaming themselves for what has happened to Asterix.

The best example of character development has to be Senator Long Name. I started off thinking of him as a one-dimensional bad guy that was excessive in his evilness, to feeling surprised that he had a small shred of decency in him. My favourite part of the story was when Asterix was trying to look over the edge of the ship's railing, and the senator helps him by holding him up. It was his first unselfish act of kindness towards Asterix, and it made my heart warm. The growing fondness the senator had for Asterix surprised me a lot, but in a good way, so when he backflipped on his increasing moral progress, it made feel very disappointed.

Asterix himself is strikingly cognizant as a three year old. It's, perhaps, a bit unusual, but not completely implausible, I guess. Kids often don't get a lot of recognition at just how much they can actually understand, so it's nice to see a positive example. At the same time, his continual fear betrayed that he was really just a young kid, and this seemed to soften the hearts of a number of the Romans who hated him as an adult. Interestingly with the senator, young Asterix's simple wisdom and compassion was what inspired a change of heart, rather than just being a relatively helpless child.

Thank you for this wonderful story. I absolutely love it. Don't stop!

Me encanta ello. No pares!

I LOVE THIS SO MUCH! Your Dulcia is wonderful, your Flordelotus is so deep in character, especially when he thinks what his mother's opinion will be! I also love the guard of the village questioning the druid, and in fact I laughed when you had the villagers immediately come outside Panoramix's door after he told them to leave!
I think having another druid find a cure is a great idea, it's a wonderful way to introduce a solution and move toward the conclusion. Also the final confrontation in Rome is WONDERFUL, it has a lot of comedy but it is also serious, and so many small wonderful moments, like Gudurix thinking that if a woman is like Aba, she will be able to rule! Also Petiminus "Cleopatra, Cleopatra?" I LOVE IT! This is so wonderful and I am just dying for more! BIG HUG!
