8/2 c9 15Aslan's Princess
So, a little bit of hope for Thranduil and Tamir reclaiming their old friendship despite everything.

Everything else . . . we are still in a downward spiral. Oh, Kelion. I know it is awful, but I think you should give Meldir a bit more credit. He may be upset, but being a true friend, I'm sure that he won't reject your friendship. Give him a chance.

Legolas, keep fighting past the darkness. I know it's scary and difficult, but you can do it. I refuse to think it's impossible.

And, Scribbles, (may I call you that?) don't worry about it. I understand that life happens, on a hundred different levels. And having just gone through a move myself, I can understand how crazy and stressful that can be, no matter the distance traveled. I hope everything goes smoothly and safely for you.

Scribbles! So glad to see you back!
Oh boy, there’s quite the irony going on here. Thran seems to be gaining an ally while Kelion is losing one… or so we think. ;3.
I hope your move goes smoothly! We will all await your return with as much patience as we can muster XD.

Hello! I'm glad you're getting back to posting! You don't even know how many times I've been checking in to see if there's any updates during those few months.
The story gets more and more interesting with every chapter, and I can't wait to know what happens next

I hope you'll have swift and quick moving trip and see you in next update, hun! 3

Hello! You're back! Hooray! I was starting to get worried about you.

I really enjoyed this chapter. Can't wait for the next one. :)

Wow, wow. So much happening. Last we heard about Estel, he's at sword point. Legolas is in some darkness vs. light coma. And scouts have been attack by Noldo elves. Or one banished Noldo and one banished dark elf. Ah!

But I am totally invested in this story. I loved the first one. Actually, forgot to leave a review there before immediately hopping over to this one. I am really enjoying your Alternate Universe. And I'm just thankful that apparently the One Ring was somehow destroyed before all this because we don't need anymore drama and danger. This is more than enough.

Maybe it's because I've read so many Aragorn and Legolas friendship stories (Mellon Chronicles in particular), I am suspecting that Estel will prove instrumental in helping Legolas. So long as he can actually make it to the prince's side.

I am looking forward to the next chapter. Hope everything is going well for you.

Hi darling! I was just wondering how you are seeing as you haven’t updated this in quite a while. If you are simply unable to or you’ve got writers block or you aren’t in the right frame of mind right now, don’t make this fic your absolute number one priority. If you want to talk, I’ve got open earsAll the best

This was a nice suspense-filled chapter!
First of all, I think one's son being on the brink of death is enough to bring one out of their dark hole!
And Kelion mirroring Thranduil's demeanor and thinking! Ouch... I don't think we need another like him! Poor Kelion...
It kind of seems that anyone in that position is acting the same... perhaps it is not particularly their character and maybe their position which demands one to be as suspicious and harsh...?
Also, why didn't anyone else recognize the difference in the making of the arrows... I mean I think orc arrows would usually be black and not crafted well but elven arrows would usually have different (and better) color feathers and would be crafted with much more skill than any other race could have managed... Even though the Noldorin arrows have not been seen by the Silvans for a long time... it shouldn't be that difficult to deduce that it is not of orcs though... which they would definitely seen enough.
As to the idea... What are the Noldor doing here!? Is it that the Noldor themselves may have been attacked and their arrows usurped by the orcs or Rivorn to create this misconception... Or was Runath behind making these arrows and Rivorn killing these Silvans... My guess is that the Noldor are innocent here... But Rivorn on the other hand would make sense. The Silvans would not attack one of their own surely. And Rivorn is dark and powerful enough to fit the last words of the silvan. Hmm, we can only guess and wait! Ooohhh, this really seems interesting!
The way you described the flashback scene was really heartrending... You caught their emotions really well..
But of course, he didn't tell the name of their enemy.. :/ why does this always happen!?
And Meldir is the only one thinking clearly here... too many things have happened at one time.. or probably one just led to the other...
Kelion going to speak with Thranduil is probably not going to end well... but if one only knew what Kelion did, then I think such precautions surely do have to be taken to protect the kingdom... whether it be from the Noldor or a dark elf.. So Kelion is only doing what seems logical then, to reinfore their protection... and for that, no one can truly fault him... But I do hope he does investigate more too... lack of information always had and will lead to misinformation and misconceptions...! It has been proven not a few times in their own history.
I'm looking forward to Thranduil and Tamir's conversation whenever you are able to post next!
Until then, take care! :)

Cliffhangers. And a lot of them. Congratiolations!
...
I started it with laughing. Yes, really, you got me laughing in the third sentece. I don't know am I just weird when I laugh every moment even if my favourite caracter would just as well be dead or are you just a good writer. Mabye both, but notherless I laughed.
...
To be honest then I was confused at the beginning, like: What is going on? Sorry?
But then I just went back little quick and read the end of last chapter again. Now I understand the situation.
And I just wanted to say that I know EXACTLY how Kélion felt when he sounded like his father. I am quite a copy of my mother and I hate myself every time I do something that's too much like her.
...
-"I expected better," - Ouch, he's being harsh.
-"I will consider when you tell me what in Eru's name is the reason behind this."- and he's only being even more harsh.
...
I was actually thinking like, why is it that nobody noticed those weren't orc arrows? Are orc and elven arrows really so similar or where they just so confused? Or mabye noone who whould have known the difference just hadn't seen th bodys/bodies yet...at least not so close. After all it has been quite a long time since noldor were among them. Mabye those warriors just didn't know. (sorry I got into thinking loud)
But to be honest then I think the worst moment was when Kélion sayd that they were made by Noldor elves.
At that moment I was just thinking: What will Legolas do of it if he wakes up? He is so found of some Noldor and if he finds out?
And after all..I started thinking... Who are these Noldor in the first place? How did they get in Greenwood in the first place?
Guess I'll just have to see.
???
-"Who muindor? Who must I go and get?"- Same question. Why even bother with warning if you really only say: "You must get them."
...
-… he is coming.- WHO?!
...
-"What do you mean if?" Kélion's voice was tinged with icy furry, "All of the evidence is there. It was the Noldor who did this. Perhaps it was even Elrond himself who carried out this heinous act. These are Noldor arrows Meldir, these sword strokes were made by Noldor blades. What more proof do you need?"- Look. I absolutely understand you are mad and worried and, well... You kinda just tought your brother was dead and even now you can't be sure ho won't be in some time, but...
This is the worst argument ever. Like EVER. You d know why they attacked. You don't know their reasons and who they where. Possibilities are endless.
And you certantl assume that every noldor means Elrond. They are not the same person. That's how simple it is.
Kélion must be really frustrated to come out with this argument. Like REALLY frustrated.
...
I really liked the fact that Meldir tried to argue with this stupid thing that Kélion sayd. I have just decided that he is the one with brains in the worst situations. (not like others aren't, I just haven't seen it yet)
...
But... Did Kélion just go to talk with Thranduil? He was just so angry with him...
???
I could have never tought I'd say this, but I must thank you for not posting. And for two weeks? Well lets just double my thanks.
(I am still angry for the long wait, even when I think my thanks have already nulled it)
Thing is that I actually have to go to school this year. And I never trurly belived they would let us there.
Our notes will be out in 28th and the rest of my school year (2 weeks) is literally time wasting. I still can't belive they let us go back. It's useless, noone is going to learn anything it these weeks. I can promise that.
The real problem is that I have completely failed my time planning. I have been sitting in home since the beginning of March by now and have taken myself a whoule punch of new actuvities, responsipilities and hobbies I have to deal with.
I have been late with everything for quite a few weeks already. And that's without school... This thing is going to take up half (or whoule) of my days now, and I can't simply step out of everything I have taken upon myself.
So when I am already struggling right now then I really don't know what I will be doing in a few days.
So as little bit as I like to admit it then I actually welcome a little break. (BUT DON'T GET USED TO IT!)
Bye!

Amazing Amazing story! I absolutely love this series! I have been following this story since chapter 60 on the first book (Out of Mirkwood) and I am so glad that you did a sequel. Can’t wait to see what happens next and I hope that Estel and Legolas meet again soon! Thank you for posting such long chapters each week.
5/9 c8 4Sometimes I Wish for Loyalty
Well that's not good. Excellent suspense building.
Can't wait for more, but don't stress, life happens :)

War?! Can't believe it. To tell the truth I support Thranduil here. He was right to be suspicious in the first part of the series. If only Elrond had arrived and explained then.
5/9 c3 mystarlight
Yes take him to Thranduil!

Awesome chapter, I want a preview again. :)
5/8 c8 23ElvenMaia
Oh-
Well dang I remember this.
Oi there are some clever schemes going around here...
Seems “like father like son” is starting to affect Kelion more than he’d like it. Funny how that works isnt it. Ooo it’s so difficult not to accidentally give spoilers but skdkdkdkfjt my lips are sealed!
So proud of you for keeping on mellon! You rest up! Blessings!

I was just chilling and thinking about the fact it is Saturday tomorrow and that I will be doing so much so cool things tomorrow.
And then I tought that oh, it's Saturday which means there is finally gonna be a new chapter. And then I was like, it has been so long... Weird...
And then I realised it. I ACTUALLY FORGOT TO READ IT THE LAST SATURDAY! *hides under the table*
So it will definitely be shorter than usual, and I am really sorry about how late it is. I will only bring out some key points that I felt were the most important and that's all for this time. (I was going to bed and have to get up early tomorrow)
???
So I read the first scene and it was kind of frustrating and hopeless and well...tense. Everyone seemed to be very down somehow. And I also think that Kélion's sentece took the mood together. (it did it combined with the one ?mand that sayd before)
Also I got to see how Tamir and ?mand get along. Not so well I think. ?mand of course seems to think that literally everyone is trying to hurt Legolas somehow but that... Well I don't know what to make of that. Looks logical mabye.
...
I liked the next scene. The conversation felt very natural and not so tense anymore. Still it was a bit conflicting when Kélion sayd out what he tought. I think it was stupid. But it was realistic. If in a situation like that I can see how these words left his mouth. Yet I belive he wouldn't have sayd it when he was himself.
I don't think what Meldir sayd is exactly right but I can get the point. I think what Legolas did was indeed not the best solution. Still I see the reasons he made this decision and why Meldir thinks so.
...
In the next scene I just felt sorry for the guards and...well...Why didn't they go with Thranduil? At least one of them? (I know I am just paying attention to some details that don't really matter but still... I had to put it in. I couldn't get it out of my head.)
-"He hoped that Kélion might have gone to rest as to allow him to be alone in the room with Legolas."- not with ?mand and Meldir and Tamir still being there...
And hopefully Thranduil will get out of his pit/hole now. (I mean the mental one) As far as I understand he has been there since his wifes dath.
...
So Thranduil sent Kélion and Meldir away... But ?mand? Is it me or did he disappear into nowhere at one moment?
And yes, Thranduil is getting out of his dark pit. At least I think so because he has decided to talk to Tamir again.
???
Sorry for any grammar errors for I don't bother do read this again. (I feel like my eyes don't remember how to stay open anymore)
Bye!
