for Not My World - Book Two (Final Fantasy VII - After Midgar)

So, Cloud heard every single word of Aqua's and Isaac's conversation. That's an interesting turn of events. I thought he would be out of earshot and that he just saw them together. But now, I'm wondering what's going on in Cloud's head after this huge amount of new and really personal information he got. I'm already looking forward to when the group will reach Gold Saucer, but first I'm curious how you will portray Barret's backstory. :D

Wow! This keeps getting better and better! (I hope I'm not annoying you by reviewing! I'm worried my enthusiasm is getting tiresome or something, lol) In the previous chapter you managed to make me feel emotional about Isaac's situation (he's a very well written OC!) and in this one I started to notice that Aqua's feelings for Cloud are getting deeper and harder to repress, hehe. Their relationship is so interesting to follow and I'm also excited to see your way of writing Barret's backstory (he's one of my favorite characters!), as I imagine it'll be just as good as the rest of this amazing story! ;)

P.S. The scene where Luca's wife received the locket broke my heart! Poor woman! :'(

This is so good! I look forward to your next update.

In my opinion, this chapter really points out the difference between Aqua and Isaac. It seems, as if for Isaac, nothing's more important than to stay alive. He's willing to act as Scarlet's toy and do whatever Rufus tells him to do (even if it means to hurt the ones he loves), as long as it spares him from death. Aqua on the other hand rather wants to keep her freedom, even though it comes with the cost of a more dangerous and unnerving life.

Despite that Isaac wanted to coax Aqua to accept Rufus' disgusting offer and with Cloud seeing them together and probably getting the wrong idea, I'm glad they got the chance to talk about their failed relationship for once and that Aqua finally found the courage to tell Isaac the truth. I hope, she can feel lighter now. :)

Moreover, I liked that scene, where Aqua thought about her home back on earth and how much she's missing her previous life with all its comforts. Honestly, even though Aqua found herself new friends in this world, I'd expected her to be more homesick. If I were to be thrown into another world, there would be so many things I would miss, and I would have a hard time not letting my homesickness show around the others. But Aqua seems to be pretty okay with her new life all in all.

I have to say, I became a bit jealous reading this chapter. Sitting in a beach chair with my feet dug deep into sand sounds just like heaven. Oh, I miss the beach T-T.

Anyway, I'm glad the group got at least one day of relaxation after being on the edge for so long. Furthermore, it seems the tension between Tifa and Aqua ceased a bit, which I'm very happy about. I hope Johnny can give her some distraction from her dark thoughts ;). As for Aqua and Cloud, I wonder if they will ever have enough courage to talk about their true feelings for each other. But their hesitation is understandable, and this way it's more exciting. Can't wait for what's going to happen next.

P. S. Probs to Aqua for smacking Hojo hard across his greasy face! He deserved it.

At this point, I have to give you a huge compliment on how you portray all those battle scenes. I can imagine it's challenging to write them, but I think you did a great job so far! They are not too long, but also not too short, and you write them really authentic. It's not like the party is making attack after attack till the enemy is defeated. They have to think of a strategy and exploit the weaknesses of their foes to finally succeed, which makes these scenes a lot more entertaining to read.

I'm glad that Cloud didn't kill Isaac. Even though Isaac's been an ass, and he's working for Shinra, Aqua still cares for him and I don't know how she would have reacted if Cloud really made that final blow. As well, it shows that Cloud isn't that soulless killing machine Sephiroth wants him to see himself as. Despite all the hatred he must feel for Isaac, with everything he has done to Aqua, and probably also jealousy in his heart, he showed mercy. He's not a monster, and I hope Cloud will realize this too someday. By the way, I found a little mistake in the first half of this chapter: as Barret mourned Luca's death, you wrote "to drip over Isaac's lifeless gaze" instead of "Luca's lifeless gaze".

I'm finally catching up with the second part of this story that I love so much! I'm so invested in Aqua's adventures, I think you did a great job making us readers care about her and her happiness. Aqua is a super interesting protagonist and I enjoy watching her grow throughout the series (poor girl deserves a slice of pizza after all she's been through).

The most recent episode is my favorite by far, especially because I loved that cliffhanger! So much tension! I hope Cloud avenges Luca's sacrifice (I loved that OC) and gives Isaac his comeuppance. Even if I like him a little better after his talk with Aqua, he still deserves to have Cloud dot his i's and cross his t's; especially after hurting Luca and driving Aqua into the hands of Rufus and his crazy proposals, ugh.

P. S. I laughed my ass off when Aqua taught the soldiers to sing the "YMCA" song, lol!

Holy macaroni, that cliffhanger was really mean! :O I've already thought, Aerith's revelation of her little secret, as well as Isaac's and Cloud's fight would eventually happen at some point throughout the story, but I wouldn't have guessed that both things were going to take place so soon.
Phew! Luckily, Aqua didn't give into her first impulse to run away and put all the blame on Aerith. I feared, Aerith revealing her secret would break their friendship, but thankfully I was wrong.
So, Isaac already knew from the beginning that Aqua was that marine guarding the door on the bridge. He seems to be more in control over his feelings since last time Aqua saw him, but he's still Rufus' lapdog...
I'm so excited for what's going to happen next! :D Again, I have to thank you for your hard work and dedication! It's always a pleasure to read a new chapter. :)

Hi can you post this in wattpad?

Honestly, I don't buy it that Isaac simply forgot about Aqua and replaced her with Scarlet. With the way he behaves whenever Scarlet is near him, I get the feeling his affection for her is more forced than anything. He probably just wanted to save marine Aqua from being eaten alive by Scarlet. Maybe in his mind he thinks it's better to be him, who's already broken, then some young and inexperienced marine, as which he sees Aqua at that moment.

This. Chapter. Is. Perfection.
There were so many cute and funny scenes, I loved it! But that YSMC part was by far the best. I laughed so hard as I pictured Aqua and Aerith singing and dancing on the bench, as if they were on some festival and not in the middle of a really important and dangerous mission. As much as I enjoyed this scene, there's one thing that confused me a bit. Aqua said YSMC is the acronym for "Youth for Shinra Military Corporation", but you wrote YMSC instead of YSMC mostly throughout the chapter. I know it's just a fine detail, but I wanted to mention it nevertheless :).
To be honest, I was extremely surprised at Isaac being there at the parade, even though it's only logical. Since Rufus is the new president after his father's death, Isaac obviously works as his new bodyguard.
After this turn of events, I can't wait for what's going to happen next. Will Isaac recognize Aqua? How will he react if they meet again? And most importantly, will Aqua ever get to eat a pizza in Gaia? :D

Phew! That was close! Thinking about what's most likely going to happen in the Forgotten City, I wonder how Aqua will cope with losing Aerith. As she said herself, the mere thought of a world without Aerith makes her feel completely hollow... I have a bad feeling about this. But maybe things are going to go a whole different way in this story. Maybe Aqua's the one to join the lifestream instead of Aerith or maybe both. I'm so excited to read about this part anytime in the future, but at the same time, I'm also scared of the outcome .

I like it whenever you give some background information of Aqua and Isaac. Even though the reader gets to know them throughout the story, it’s somewhat nice to see how they acted before that whole Gaia incident. For example, it’s interesting that Aqua felt a bit pressured to accept the proposal, afraid to lose Isaac as a friend.
Speaking of friends, it was pretty rude of Cloud saying Aqua is his best friend and then calling it ?nonsense“. I don’t know if he only wanted to earn ?Tifa points“ as Aqua called it or if there’s something else bothering him, but man, his behavior really was unnecessary. At least he could have apologized.

This Chapter was challenging... I kept simmering on it, adding and deleting some parts. Finally, I got comfortable with it to progress! :O
I skipped Fort Condor since it's optional this early in the quest and I honestly don't like spending all of my Gil for something I'm going to do later in the game anyway.
Phew! I'm so happy it's done!
