for An Unwelcome Cellmate

This was wonderful. Also, now I want to see all the teachers staying at Alex’s house so much? I lived the fic :D

oh man this was utterly perfect. Just, the absolute absurdity caused by sticking Alex and one of his previous (deranged) instructors into a cell together - n. Alex's tired sarcasm. Gordon's relentless curiosity and genuine annoyance over MI6's treatment of Alex - I particularly liked the sudden toneshift of "Quit your job. Seriously." and the fact that ASSASSIN SCHOOL AT ALEX'S HOUSE AHAHAHA it's all just VERY good

Gorgeously written, and by turns funny, dramatic and weirdly heartwarming. Thank you for this excellent read!

This was very well written and funny on top of it :) As a one-shot it's brilliant, and I can see a lot of potential for a sequel too simply for the amusement value.. Never mind that I nearly snorted coffee out of my nose a few times due to the hilarity of it all. A great blend of serious, humor and bonding at the same time with enough flesh on it, for a reader to understand what happened and how even if they haven't read all of AR books etc.

Interesting choice of character for the prompt. A job well done.

I loved this, the dynamic between Ross and Alex something I never knew I needed. I especially loved the parts about Ross jumping straight into remedial training after Alex told him about shooting the mi6 agent. Also Ross rant about walker was hysterical. I really want Alex running into Amanda and Klaus now. In general I love how you have built up the AR world and events and I have ready pretty much all of your Alex rider fic and I love how certain events and characters are always referenced in some way shape or form. Seriously if you ever do another AR that includes Ross in some way I would absolutely love it

They are cussing very badly there... definitely uncomfortable XD. I liked how Alex ranted and Ross was like: let's enjoy the show. It was hilarious to read. And the grades. Poor Alex, but don't you know blurting out classified missions to a known criminal is VERY BAD (Not that Alex cares).
Yeah, Alex! Awaken your inner sociopath/crazy assassin!
Awww, anitsocial Yassen, that's kinda cute.
Alex, clinically insane is a requirement for working for SCORPIA...
The escape was very calm for Alex. Probably Ross' influence.
The idea... former SCORPIA intructors bunking at Alex'.
This story has a lot potential for further chapters/snippets.
Great story and thank you for sharing! I hope you will come back to it sometime.

I /laughed/ my way through this - Alex's moral compass is a d*amn roulette wheel and seeing that get pointed out never fails to make me laugh. Especially by Ross, who has a vested interest in seeing him stay alive and working (and recovered from MI6-induced Stockholm syndrome).
(Also... RIP Yassen and Nile. I got a legit pang at that part of their discussion and tbh I can see why Ross would want Alex to survive past 40.)
It's a law somewhere that everyone who wants to hire Alex gives him an awful job interview - including MI6 and that whole window event at 14. This beats that, though! (Alex is unimpressed. So very very unimpressed.)
I also love seeing him older and more weathered, just that little bit further down the path and comfortably ambiguous with his motivations and underworld connections (Walker! Hi again! You and your dubious competence as a solo assassin make a return, bless).
5k of delicious wonderful snark and poking at old relationships. I adore it. :D

I'm been looking so much forward to this one based on the spoilers you shared and it more than delivered xD

Ah, once a teacher, always a teacher. Gordon gets it all: juicy gossip about MI6, Alex's stories, AND he gets to grade Alex's 'absolutely accidental' murders. What else could he want? Other than, you know, an escape. And no torture. And he's a fair man, he shares stories with Alex, too!

It's genuinely sweet in an assassin-instructor sort of way that Gordon actually cares. Teachers have favourites and Alex is hard not to like. Gordon has taught since before Yassen was a student, so probably since the very early days of Malagosto; the way he analyses Alex's situation and uses that information to give him actually decent advice is probably a part of him by now. He wouldn't have lasted if he wasn't a good teacher. Alex is a good student for all of his minor little issues with assassinations, and Gordon obviously enjoys his company. I'm not surprised he offered Alex lessons and I'm just as sure he meant it.

(Also, love the reference to Walker and the elaborate backstory that threads through all your stories. It's nice to see them pop up like that, even if it's just a brief reference - like a nod to an old friend)

MI6's refusal to give him a gun is just ... yeah. Especially by that point in time, when it's blatantly obvious that Alex will manage to kill people with or without the use of an actual weapon. It's one of those things that Alex will complain about but doesn't actually sink in until some outsider makes a big deal of it - and Gordon, who actually taught Alex, definitely would.

I loved that Gordon trusted Alex's explanation about the food. That's - a big vote of confidence. And poor Alex, supervillains just won't leave him alone. You know, for all that Greasy (and I love that name and the description) has an awful idea he's also dangerously intelligent. Smart enough to know how valuable Alex is and that he might cooperate to help those other kids, if not quite smart enough to realise that 'child assassin' is going to send Alex into a cold-blooded, murderous rage.

The escape was great - like Ross said, what it's like without a deadweight partner - and the ending was just fantastic. Alex is entirely out of fucks to give at this point and you know what? Sure, setting up Malagosto's teachers' lounge in his living room sounds like a FANTASTIC idea. It's not like his life can get much weirder, anyway. Poor Jack. She's a saint for putting up with Alex, she really is.

Thank you for writing this, I absolutely loved it!
