Sabal is in a tent next to the lake in the North. Once again you get to choose to kill him or let him live but theres no dialogue

You and a lot of other people felt kinda empty after finishing FC4. The unfortunate part is that the ending just doesn't leave you with a whole lot to be invested in. In my opinion, that's one of the reasons why I let Pagan live because he was one of the very few things that made me invest in the journey. Because one way or another it was going to end with him. Bhadra is only brought in a few times for me to feel something for her and I sometimes forgot I was doing all this because of an urn of ashes.

Actually, from what I remember of playing through FC4, Pagan Min, ironically, is the only one that tells Ajay the truth. He has no problem telling you what he does, how much enjoyment he gets out of it, and telling you how much of a tool you are to the likes of Amita and Sabal, who are actually blatantly using you. Hell, the only reason you get so far is because Pagan wants you to get closer and closer to winning. Unlike everything else, he's NOT TRYING to stop you. In fact, he mostly acts like a nuisance, then a threat.
When Pagan says that Kyrat is his for the taking, I think he's mostly meaning that Ajay is the only one he will allow to take the country from him. Not so much as a legit claim to the throne, but just that he's the only one who's allowed to have it and can do whatever he wants with it.

I would LOVE to see you create a History of Kyrat. Playing FC4 I wanted to learn more about that country.

As amazing as I think the backstory of Ishwari is . . . I can't see it as canon. At least a portion of this. Ajay seemed to have a great LACK of knowledge concerning Kyrat. From what I could see in the game he hardly knew anything about the damn place. I doubt he knew what a Tarun Matara was, I doubt he knew anything about the religion of the region, heck, even Ishwari (in text) stated that they never discussed Kyrat because somewhere down the line he'd go back there.

That said, I LOVE what you did with Ishwari here. Many, including myself, saw her as a very loving and gentle mother. Probably because Pagan and others kept calling her so. Also, when you read her writing out loud, you get kind of a gentle nuance from it.
But it's kind of cool that you made Ishwari out to be as crazy as Mohan and Pagan. And what made her worse was the fact she was grooming Ajay to take down probably Pagan, so in a way, Ishwari is the real winner of the Kyrati Civil War. She prepped him with all kinds of skills and hurt him when he didn't do an exemplary job, making Ajay try even harder until he won. Even rewarding him even if he did something bad in the process. I really like that because it's a legit reason on why he has so many skills. That was one of my biggest gripes with Ajay in the game, he never explained WHY or HOW he got those skills or why he was so good at killing, unlike Jason. So thank you for doing what the actual game refused to do. In your story I can view Ajay as a product of violence and not just violent in general.

Amen bro, it's time to give those motherfuckers their well-deserved compensation.

It's hard to accept that reality, that you were raised to be a murderer regardless of your thoughts or intentions.

I'm gonna be honest, not a fan of Sabal surviving. I get it furthers the plot, but I just don't like him in general. He's a fanatic and I hate fanatics. Still, credit where credit is due. It's interesting to see him trying to make something from all the ashes that Ajay and Amita left behind.

That said, what I really like about this chapter is the original history you've made. I had to read those pedigree paragraphs twice to fully get what Sabal was saying, but at least you went into the history of Kyrat unlike the game itself. I liked hearing about the former kings and queens and the complicated family tree that ends with Ajay as a royal. I honestly think he is part royal in the actual canon.

I can't tell if Ajay is getting better or getting worse in this chapter. Uh not by story or character quality, no you're doing a good job on that. I mean by a psychological standpoint.

He's tired of killing, yet he's going to the Arena to kill people. Then he hops in bed with the new topless owner of the Arena. Whatever gets him to think clearly, but I am worried about him.

That was a good death for Amita. Got to admit, I try getting more and more creative with her demise each time I play Far Cry 4. And this chapter still gave me that sinking feeling I get whenever I get to this scene. So good work on capturing the moment.

Aww, I was really hoping you would have killed Reggie and Yogi. They were the first characters in this whole series that I wanted dead more than anyone.

When you really take a step back, you can see just how fucked up Ajay's life really is. His father killed his half-sister. His mother slept with a tyrant and gave birth to his child. He killed technically his step-father. His mother killed his father. I can't imagine the amount of turmoil going thru that guy's head. Probably best he stays of the drugs a bit. Hell, staying off those two brit's drugs is a smart idea in general.

Another good chapter! It's structured soundly and I don't think I've come across any errors. I think you got something really cool here. A Far Cry 4 fic taking place after the canon events.

I'm sorry I didn't read this sooner. This was a good first chapter! I'm always looking for good Far Cry 4 stories because out of all of them, this one and New Dawn need more to them.

I've always been someone who spares Pagan for numerous reasons, but I never really blame anyone for killing him though. He is still a villain, but he's the only "good" villain in the whole game. Unlike Amita and Sabal, he doesn't lie to you or use you. Try to kill you sure, but honestly everyone's trying to kill Ajay, even if not directly.

Also the other reason I spare him is mainly because of the reveal of Lakshmana. But I guess you fixed that here. If it weren't for that . . . yeah, maybe I'd kill him like you. The game doesn't give me a whole lot of reason to not spare him however, at least in my opinion.

Considering how strongly Ajay was hating Pagan I'm assuming these are your own feelings on him?

Considering there are 7 more chapters, I'm looking forward to seeing what the rest are.

So, I just wanna say: this is pretty amazing. Its rare to find active Far Cry stories that aren’t about 3 or 5, much less good one’s. But this...

You’re writing style is really good. Not to much details, but enough that some imagination can flow through. You write the characters very well, and you are creative with them, with Badrah being a good example. But most impressive, you really know your lore. I’m a sucker for details, and you use a lot of details from both the game itself and real life. Its really great!

Consider me hooked!

Looks promising.

Well, consider me hooked! I think we've all had headcanons about what happened after the game officially ended. In my headcanon, Ajay killed Pagan after he departed in his helicopter, shot Amita in that cabin and later on killed Sabal when he found out that he was a zealot. I'm always interested to see what the headcanons of other people were. Looking forward to see what's gonna happen!
