I was always holding out hope that you would have a chapter with Liberty reuniting with her son, even though she doesn't really play a role in this story. I definitely wasn't expecting that storyline with Maya.

Kind of bummed that Toby wasn't included in the interviews! Everybody always downplays his role in the Rick storyline and since he was not only Rick's friend, but a victim of bullying himself, he would have had an interesting perspective.

Hey Frank! Thanks for letting me know this chapter was a standalone :) I know I'll go back and read the rest at some point (so nice to see Winston here! Definitely want to know how he's done for himself in your universe) but in the meanwhile, this was a great way to get me back into this story.
I have to say, the Miles/Lola alternative universe was... a bit too cheesy and wish-fulfillmenty for my taste. My favourite part about the Lola pregnancy storyline on the show was all the DRAMA potential, and I feel like you made it all sound a bit too easy. And the fact that Miles is writing it himself, in the story framing, was a little odd to me. That he would choose this "happy ever after" route in a story starring himself and a girl he's not currently in love with. Am I reading too much into this? Very likely.
Anyway, it was a fun read, and especially that ending had me hooked! Now I have to go back and check what else I've missed.
Speak soon!

Ohh, I loved this chapter! It was great to get all the backstory on Jenna and Craig, finally! And that revelation in the end? After all this time, Ellie is still keeping the custody battle up? I thought with Nick being his age, he'd have a say in this too.
I thought I'd miss the kids, but it was actually very nice to get an adult-centred chapter for a change

Another good episode! The cheerleading tryout was a good way to get the kids to mingle in unexpected groups, as these things often are. The Lisa and Nick side plot was a little awkward but in a funny kind of way. And I'm quite happy seeing Maya get her life back on track, and to see Eli (and Clare!) come back into the picture. Looking forward to more!

Loved the first episode of this new season! You had me in giggles in multiple parts, Julie's list of requirements? And Heather and Regina spatting while watching Bring It On? Ahhh, so many iconic moments! And it's nice to have the adults back in the storyline, too.
Deco seems cool, and I'm looking forward to more Simon-centric storylines with him. Hopefully Julie won't take it too bad. You sure didn't have them wasting anytime, lol – granted, I'm not the biggest fan of slow-burns, but this was pretty impressive. There were ten lines between "you know I'm gay, right?" and "we should totally date".
Your pacing is great, has been for the last a lot of episodes. It's pretty obvious that you got tons of practice writing these, and I'm still super impressed at how quickly you can write them.

Definitely definitely loved this summer season! The kids can easily hold their own at this point. And Jamie! The hype! Even I was excited :)
Jack and Julie are adorable, and it'll be sad to say bye to Jack. Glad they're managing to part on good terms! As for Suey and Lisa, I think you did the right thing. It would have gotten weird real quick, had they kept fooling around in secret.

Ahahah, I loved Suey going all passive-aggressive at Lisa, lol. Although I'm happy they made up in the end, Lisa really hasn't done anything wrong, and it'll be better in the long run for them to have a clean break now.
Seb and Hannah's first date sounded super sweet, even though they didn't like the art. But the plot that stole the show for me was Allison's interview. Wow, Jamie is such a solid guy. Risking his career right when it's finally taking off, so that she doesn't have to back off from what she stands for. I hope you'll pull a nice moral ending in which the evil network fails and Jamie and Allison both get what they want, because that boy deserves it. I've never been so touched by a fictional teenager in my life.
Moving on to part 5 straight away!

For someone like me, who is not into sports and can barely tell apart a skateboard from a surf board, I can say you wrote a gripping competition! I loved cutting from Jamie in the field to his friends back home in front of the TV. It really worked well! Jamie meeting his idol was also quite exciting, and I'm very proud of Allison for sticking it to the patriarchy, lol.
Nick and Lisa... I don't hate the idea, now that there's no cheating involved. I'm happy to roll with it!

Lol, Julie's boobs names xD that was such a silly little detail! (Mine are called Serena and Giovanna, FYI. Named by my ex, so I could totally relate to that part of the convo).
Another super nice chapter! And wow, quite a bomb with Chrissy not actually being into Nick! I was quite surprised, but then again it made a lot of sense. Julie was right, and I'm glad Chrissy did the right thing. And who knows, now that Suey and Lisa are over (or at least should be. We'll get there) they might have a second chance with everyone's blessing, maybe.
I really enjoyed the other plots, too. Seb and Hannah hitting it off, and going from silly talks about Brit comedies to serious talk about abusive parents. That was all quite heavy.
I loved Deb's part at the ravine with Simon and Jack. And I loved the talk between the two boys! I think you did a really good job with Jack, him being accepting of his friend even though he's still casually homophobic (let's face it, his choice of words wasn't the best. But people don't grow and change instantly, and that rang true to me. Maybe having a close friend who's gay will challenge his views and in the long run help him become less judgemental).
One very small thing, I think "foster home" or "group home" would be better than orphanage. Orphanage sounds very Dickens, or "Anne of Green Gables" and I don't think institutes like that really exist anymore in Canada.
I'm really loving this summer series!

I’m loving this summer series! It’s nice to focus solely on the kids for a bit, and you’ve got a really nice set up going. London! It’s going to be fun. I do not agree with Allison’s assessment of British food though. As an Italian by birth and half-Brit by love, I find British food delicious. Come on, English Breakfast? A good Sunday roast? Pies?! Food is good. The phonetic spelling of the Irish/British accent, while hilarious, is hella distracting though. I’m also not sure that a native would struggle with accent as much as us foreigners. Here in Italy we have some pretty wild accents, too, but unless people straight up switch to dialects I can always understand them.
Looking forward to the rest of this summer special!

Oh wow, the track list! This is so much better than the playlist I've been making, I definitely missed loads. Thank you!

Awww, this was a good season finale! As sad as I am for Lisa and Suey, they did the right thing. I was wondering how you'd deal with the adoption/fostering plot while they were a couple, but I should have known not to doubt you. Such mature kids, too! dating for a year at their age is a lifetime, this must feel like the end of the world to them.
I can see you like a good redemption plot, and in this chapter we got not one but two redeemed fathers, with the little cameo by Mr H at the end. I'll never be a fan of Becky's dad, but it seems like he's done some introspection. He's always loved his children, that's for sure.
Seems like Esme got everything she wanted, too! She didn't win, but she scored a good job that will surely help her career. I'm looking forward to see Hunter play the supportive partner, too, we need more stories of ambitious women and the men in their life who love them for it.
Looking forward to the end-of-season explanation! Lucky for me, it's just a click away.
