Wow, you've obviously done your research. I love the detailed back stories you've given the two characters - I agree it's hard to ascertain where Mr Wikinson is from but your explanation makes sense. Wonka's background is fascinating too but it implies that he invented the dangerous creatures of Loompaland to justify bringing the inhabitants to his factory when in fact he had created an artificial war against them. :(
The idea that Wonka might have been responsible for the grandparents death is disturbing, as is the fact that he sent Mrs Bucket abroad, away from her son. Although you wouldn't really want her to marry this version of Wonka...
And now poor Mr Turkentine is stuck in the middle of all this, with no experience in these complex political/industrial situations... Can't wait to see how he deals with all these revelations.

This is a much darker take on the story than I usually read but thanks to all your little details it actually feels realistic. And Mr Wilkinson is as mysterious and creepy as ever, which is great.
I'm just wondering where the story is set as it seems to have British and American aspects to it.

This is a bit different! I like the idea of expanding on Mr Turkentine's brief role in the film. He has an interesting perspective, as someone who knew Charlie before the tour. It's also interesting to see how certain parts of the media have portrayed the events of the tour and the lives of the children after it. It really doesn't look good when you look at it from this perspective.
