It's 2021! And in celebrations of the 45th anniversary of Rankin/Bass' "The First Easter Rabbit" (1976) and the 20th anniversary of Toei Animation's "Digimon Tamers" (2001–02), we wish for you to think about just a new Easter story for , "The First Easter Digi-Rabbit", the one we're still talking about.

"The First Easter Digi-Rabbit" - The Opening Narration

"Surprised to see me here in Japan on Planet Earth, home of the Digi-Destined humans, instead of Kermit the Frog in his Santa Claus suit, under the name of Kermit Claus? Well, I can't say that I blame you since it is Christmas here. Me? Just call me G.B., the Gargomon, for now. Yep, a Gargomon I am, I'm from the Digital World, the home planet of us Digital Monsters or Digimon for short, and back in time, many Christmases ago. And right there in that very apartment, here in the city of Tokyo, is where our story begins. The story of 'The First Easter Digi-Rabbit'.

And you know? We came within a hair's breadth if you excuse the pun of never having an actual Easter bunny or a Terriermon for an Easter Digi-Rabbit at all. You don't remember, do you? You know all about Christmas Day, and things that happened on Christmas Eve... Like how did Kermit became Kermit Claus, Po the Snow Panda who came to life with a magic hat, and Bambi the Red-Nosed Reindeer who guided Kermit's sleigh with his nose's glowing power. But, how about that Terriermon who comes every Easter day?"

ToonFanJoey, now that you have finished your fanmaking of "The Halloween Tree", based on both Ray Bradbury's 1972 novel and Hanna-Barbera's 1993 TV adaptation at DeviantArt, I want you to listen to me. Easter Sunday is on Sunday, April 4, 2021, and there are three things about this upcoming day.

1. The same date will mark the 50th anniversary of the ABC (American Broadcasting Company) premiere of the first Easter television special from Rankin/Bass Productions in New York, New York, the stop motion animated "Here Comes Peter Cottontail" (1971), based on the novel "The Easter Bunny That Overslept" (1957) by Priscilla and Otto Friedrich and featuring the 1949 song of the same name by Steve Nelson and Jack Rollins, the same duo who also did "Frosty the Snowman" (1950) and its 1969 TV adaptation by Rankin/Bass.

2. And since Rankin/Bass' second Easter special (and their only one to use traditional animation), "The First Easter Rabbit" (1976), loosely based on Margery Williams' children's storybook "The Velveteen Rabbit" (1922), is celebrating the 45th anniversary of its NBC premiere on April 9, 2021, it would be better if you can make "The First Easter Digi-Rabbit" at DeviantArt, with characters from Akiyoshi Hongo's "Digimon" (1997–present), Jim Henson's "The Muppets" (1955–present), DreamWorks' "Kung Fu Panda" (2008–present), Walt Disney's "Bambi" (1942–present), David Kirschner's "The Pagemaster" (1994) and more. For one of our reasons, Toei Animation, located in Tokyo, Japan, performed their overseas animation work on "Muppet Babies" (1984–91) and "Little Muppet Monsters" (1985) for The Jim Henson Company in Los Angeles, California, and produced the "Digimon" anime series (1999–present).

3. By using Terriermon in the role of Stuffy, the main character, and Gargomon in the role of G.B., the narrator, this fic will even mark the 20th anniversary of "Digimon Tamers" (2001–02).
