for Lelouch of the Risorgimento

What about Kallen she is a half Britannian, she may not be a politician but she is a noble and could provide some political support and give him a person who will question some of his actions. She maybe half Japanese in the show but you can make half whatever you need be it Prussian, Russian, Swedish, or Austrian. She also cares about common folk and would make a part time for everyday things.

Hey there! Yet another great chapter with excellent research. I've sent you a more in-depth set of PMs for my thoughts on this chapter and any future "interludes".

One suggestion I can offer for researching "obscure people" is to see if they have any Wiki articles in other languages. The language of Wikipedia is influenced by the 2-letter name in the address between the "h-t-t-p-s-" and "Wikipedia". "En" is English, "Es" is Spanish (Espaniol), "Pt" is Portuguese, "Fr" is French, "De" is German (Deutsch), "Ru" is Russian, "Ar" is Arabic, "Zh" is Chinese (which might be more Taiwanese as it is banned in mainland China), "Ko" is Korean, "Ja" is Japanese, etc.

And if you're worried about translation, you can copy website addresses into Google Translate and follow the link on the translated side, which will lead you to an automatic translation of the page. I myself found use for this when researching the history of Latin America and found a lot more info on the Spanish versions of some pages.

Anyhow I look forward to future chapters. Good luck on these and life and have a nice day!

Before anything I just want to say this is one of the best adaptions of any story I have ever read. The amount of research and historical information you are putting into this is absolutely astounding. Every chapter that comes out I am just amazed with, the names, places, and weird historical facts that you pepper your story with give it a life of its own that I have barely seen in official 'proper' works. You have also given me a lot of inspiration to continue work on my own story set in this time period, so thank you so much for that.
Personally I think that while the idea of a chapter on Euphemia would be interesting story wise I would prefer see something focused more on Nunnally or Schneizel. Taking Nunally's perspective on the whole situation, her views on her brothers plans and what she thinks about the changing world she finds herself in would be fascinating. Schneizel would also be really cool, maybe talking about his previous actions in the political world, a brief look into what his plans are for the short or long term and how Lelouch's actions have changed the political sphere in Europe?
Great work none the less, I cant wait to see what the next chapter has in it :)

Great chapter, and I like the fact about giving more impact to obscures figures in that time. Keep it up ;-).

Brilliant. Absolutely love this.

Quick question but Britannia seized the Dutch East Indies correct? Irl Britain seized them from 1811 to 1815 when Napoleon occupied the Netherlands and returned them afterwards but I’m guessing Britannia has no reason to do something similar?

Hello, though I read only two chapters (one if you don't count the timeline) I already find this story interesting and quite well written. However, a quick question, these Asplund Balls, if I understood correctly, are rifle cartridges, and if so, wouldn't there be a need to manufacture not only these cartridges but also breechloading rifles, as you wrote that rifles which army uses are still muzzleloaders?
P.S. please excuse me for any grammar mistakes

Great chapter! A lot of interesting things happening with mentions of Euphy, Malta, Clovis, and Muhammad Ali Pasha!

I completely forgot about the "Barbary Pirates"! Also known as "that constant pest that was so constant that Europeans factored in losses to their piracy into their GDPs/budgets" until the fledgling USA was like "yeah no we can't actually afford to pay the Barbary Pirates' tribute, so why don't we just try fighting them"? And so the USA did, and actually WON - which was so shocking to the dumbfounded Europeans who were like, "wait, if THEY can beat the Barbary Pirates than why can't and shouldn't we?" And so the Europeans did and the Barbary Pirates were no more. At least that's how I remember it. Things are definitely going different here what with Britannia BEING America and whatnot.

Malaria sounds interesting, though it'll definitely be harder to correlate water with mosquitos.
Wikipedia offers this paragraph:

Scientific studies on malaria made their first significant advance in 1880, when Charles Louis Alphonse Laveran—a French army doctor working in the military hospital of Constantine in Algeria—observed parasites inside the red blood cells of infected people for the first time. He, therefore, proposed that malaria is caused by this organism, the first time a protist was identified as causing disease. For this and later discoveries, he was awarded the 1907 Nobel Prize for Physiology or Medicine. A year later, Carlos Finlay, a Cuban doctor treating people with yellow fever in Havana, provided strong evidence that mosquitoes were transmitting disease to and from humans. This work followed earlier suggestions by Josiah C. Nott, and work by Sir Patrick Manson, the "father of tropical medicine", on the transmission of filariasis.

Of course you might already know this since some of the info you included in this chapter is mentioned on the same page. Still, it looks like it could be awhile before some of these discoveries are made, unless microscopes become VERY popular.

The last thing I'll mention is your mention of the Cape. Definitely an important colony even decades and centuries before the 1884 Berlin Conference and the Scramble for Africa. I bet Clovis enjoys painting the wildlife that Britannian nobles probably hunt for sport. The Bluebuck went extinct by 1800, unless Britannians came up with the idea of preserves to keep the population afloat. Three other major South African mammals that went extinct were the Southern Black Rhinoceros (extinct 1850), Cape Lion (extinct between 1850s and 1860s), and Quagga (extinct in the wild by 1878 and extinct in captivity in 1883). Though Britannia likely doesn't own the whole South African region yet as the Zulu Kingdom and Dutch Boer Republics and Zulu Kingdoms persisted until 1879 and 1902 respectively.

(On a side note, I wonder what Lelouch and Nunnally think of the Sicilian wolf, which went extinct in the 1920s?)

Anyhow I think I should finish off this review. Things are definitely getting interesting with cholera, the Barbary Pirates, Muhammad Ali Pasha, and how Cornelia and Euphy will play into all of this. I'd wish you well with this and other stories, but for now I'll just wish you a Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and Happy New Year!

Good chapter ,I like the way you start to spin the Italian could use the church to help the infected or maybe warn the people about the disease .A question : do you plan a time skip?

I just can’t see the Austrians issuing what is essentially their ultimatum to Serbia to Italy. Italy is worlds different from Serbia, and attacking Italya viceroyalty of Britannia, one of the Great Powers, seems incredibly short sighted at best.

A few questions
