for A Catra Carol

A perfect, heartwarming conclusion to this amazing story!

That was so sweet that in her weak and weary state, Catra thought Scorpia was Santa. And I'm glad she woke up back in the snow and not in her bed.

I like how she thinks the nightmarish future was just a dream, and the reader can believe that too, or the reader can choose to believe it really happened and that Skeletor healed her and sent her back in time with his magic. I love how that was open to interpretation. Me, I choose to believe the latter.

You did a good job at keeping Catra in character, how she allowed the festivities to be set into motion while still being gruff and stern, and how she softened a little for Scorpia and Entrapta.

Aw and she gave Scorpia her mistletoe kiss! Of course we all know she's still crazy for Adora, but she made it clear it doesn't mean anything between them.

Hordak's heart attack was hilarious! I've seen other Grinch parodies do that lol XD I knew he would survive and be mad at Catra about it, but not enough so to ruin the festive holiday mood. And I'm glad it was Entrapta's gift that ultimately made his heart grow. And I love how it went back to the rhyming for that scene.

I'm so glad Scorpia returned the presents to Brightmoon. And I like to think Hordak was fine with it on account of his heart growing.

A little headcanon I have: I like to think Catra went with Scorpia to return the presents, disguised as an elf, just to see Adora, and give her a trinket from the Fright Zone as a gift. Maybe she thought of bringing mistletoe but decided against it.

I knew Seahawke would be okay! Yay!

Aw Catra even stopped by Shadow Weaver's cell to wish her a Merry Christmas! :)

Catra never opened her gift from Entrapta :(

Loved that ending with the paining of Keldor and his allies. I also love how Hordak mentioned other franchises/worlds that celebrate holidays similar to Christmas. The only ones I knew about were Life Day for Star Wars and Hearth's Warming for MLP. :) I love that Catra and Hordak had a civil conversation about it, and how they wished each other Merry Christmas at the end, that alone warmed my heart.

And that last passage was rather chilling. It seems to suggest that perhaps this whole story was narrated by Skeletor himself! I love that idea! And I like how that idea is, again, open to interpretation and not outright explained.

I really like how well this compliments the events of the show, how all of this could have actually happened without diverging from canon.

Once again, amazing job with this story! Thank you so much for writing it! It was so much fun to read!

OMG OMG OMG SKELETOR AS THE GHOST OF CHRISTMAS YET TO COME?! I'm had such a fanboy moment when Catra ran into him! I absolutely how you used him here!

"If I tell you, it could destroy the entire universe! And that's where I keep my stuff!" LMFAO that cracked me up!

OMG That was brilliant how you took the two kids from the He-Man Christmas episode and made them Ignorance and Want!

I loved seeing Catra being so protective of the kids, again seeing the good in her.

I got the reference to the "Jokes on you" meme!

My God. That whole scene with the baker was dark. Terrifying. Very well-crafted. I loved it!

In this whole chapter I loved Skeletor's sense of humor and how he was always mocking Catra.

I like how at the end of the chapter Skeletor threw Shadow Weaver's words back in Catra's face.

I liked the whole scene with Entrapta, and all the remorse it made Catra feel about how she treated her friends before.

I kind of wish there was a scene where Catra learned about Adora dying and was broken up over the death of the only woman she ever loved.

"Tinynerdyhussyprincesswhotriedtostealmyexfrommesayswhat?" So in this story, Skeletor and Hordak were together at some point in the future? That's an image I won't get out of my head...

All the excessive warfare and pollution kind of mirrors how far Catra was going to win the war, careless of anything else and all the damage she was doing, so it fits that this would be her future if she continues on that path, even with Skeletor stretching it a little.

An excellent chapter. Haunting and dark. I love this story so much! This is definitely one of my favorite she-ra fanfics ever!

I look forward to the next (and I'm guessing final) chapter!

You did a good job at capturing Seahawke's adventurous, over-the-top personality. His spirit annoying Catra was hilarious. I also like how he got serious when he needed to, like when he told Catra about the risk of hypothermia.

I did find it a little surprising that Seahawke didn't recognize Catra from the Sea Gate episode. Though I guess they never really crossed paths in that episode, never saw each other face-to-face, so I'll let it slide.

This was a very clever way of making Seahawke the Ghost of Christmas Present. I thought all three ghosts were just going to involve First Ones Illusions, but the way you're doing it is way better and more interesting.

I liked the clever names you came up with for Christmas songs, like "Freddie the Red-Brained Mi-Go." And the Harvey song was "Grandma got run over by a reindeer." LOL

I really like this idea that Seahawke goes fishing every Christmas Eve to give to the people suffering under the Horde. Makes me like and respect him so much more. I'm accepting that as headcanon in the show.

I also liked seeing the small glimpses of good in Catra in this chapter. It really warmed my heart how Catra agreed to help Seahawke deliver the fish even though she could just leave him. And also how she could see everyone mourning for Entrapta and that she thought about telling Seahawke she was fine.

When Frosta talked about the light on the tree, I immediately realized that this "Santa" was Scorpia disguised for Hordak's scheme!

Another big helping of feels from Adora's talk with Bow and Glimmer about Christmas in the Horde. Very well-written and so fitting for the story, about how it was one of the only times of the year when they could be kids and not soldiers, how it was the happiest time in their childhood.

The part where Adora talked about setting up Anti-Air defenses to shoot down Krampus made me smile.

It's kind of funny how each chapter ends with Catra saying "I hate _." It's like a running gag.

I refuse to believe Seahawke died there! He's alive I know it! The others will save him! Still, a great cliffhanger to end this chapter on.

Light Hope being in the role of one of the ghosts fits pretty well, and it fits that Catra's adventures into the past, present, and future being the simulations created in the First Ones' castles.

I distinctly remember that line from Scrooge in the book, and the many movies, about food upsetting his senses; "bit of beef, blot of mustard, crumb of cheese" etc. I love how you used that into this story!

I can see that even though the cadets raised in the fright zone did not grow up in the best circumstances, even the wicked Horde would not deny them the joyful festivities of Christmas. And even the soldiers celebrate it. I love that. It really warms my heart.

It's interesting that Light Hope is here to collect data on Christmas, and not to teach Catra a lesson like the ghosts did to Scrooge. And it totally fits her character.

This warms my Catradora-craving heart. It's clear the main reason Catra hates Christmas is because it's her first one without Adora, and she and Adora have so many great memories from Christmas the previous years. And Catra's outbursts in this chapter really hit me in the feels.

Crawling through the vents and getting covered in grease was pretty funny. A bit of comic relief from the heartache Hope has been making her revisit. When I think about it, this story really captures the same tone and pacing that the show has. I give you credit for that.

Nice Die Hard reference!

Woah! Damn! That's terrifying and cold at the end how Hope just left Catra for dead! And it also fits with how Hope (and Shadow Weaver) wanted Adora to let go of her friends and loved ones to fulfill her "destiny" as She-Ra.

I'm really loving this story!

I stumbled upon this at just the right time. Christmas Eve, I've been with extended family but I keep thinking about She-Ra, and this did so much to fill both my holiday and she-ra needs and get me back into the Holiday spirit!

You did great at writing everyone's dialogue. Everyone feels in-character and the way they all speak to each other feels just like how they are in the show. Especially the conversation between Catra and Shadow Weaver.

Aw Poor Scorpia with the Mistletoe! :(

I think it's so sweet that Entrapta went out of her way to make gifts for Catra, Scorpia, and Hordak. So sad that they were incinerated. I'm hoping there's some sort of twist here; like maybe Entrapta gave Catra empty boxes as a test to see what she would do with them, and Entrapta kept the real gifts.

I love the Grinch parody going on with Hordak! The rhyming is absolutely brilliant!

Thank you for writing this! I'm off to read more! Merry Christmas!
