It's definitely unrealistic, thank you for the reviews. Guess that's why it is fanfiction.
Again, I'll try to make to make it better.
Thank you.

R.I.P. to your friend.

This is unrealistic. HOWEVER, in response to some reviewers, some departments have cadet programs for kids and allow them to ride along (but not go into fire). I think the one where I used to live started at fourteen. L.A.F.D. has a cadet program thingy that I don't know much about but I THINK they do ride alongs.

Good day.

I havent read the rest of the story but wanted to say I am so sorry you lost your friend.

No way would this ever happen. Children do not hang out in fire departments, nor do they go out on calls. My husband is a firefighter and this is not even thinkable. Grown men who are firefighters are not babysitters.

Would a 14 yr old be allowed to ‘ride along’ on a Fire Dept Squad? What if they were called to a major warehouse or refinery fire/ explosion before they returned to the station? Or even after they were called out from the station? They’re going to leave a young teen alone at a Fire Station? No, there are issues of liability.

oh no! Poor Kelsey. maybe later on Johnny can talk to her and help her get over this awful tragedy. after all he lost his parents too. Great start!
