for Remember, But Not To Weigh You Down

Loved this Cat!
My favourite character is Edmund and I love stories that examine his suffering and journey in more detail. I know what you mean when you said my chapter of Edmund and the White Witch reminded you of this story. I love the bit about good and bad scars. Have you read Elecktrum's stories? A lot of them speak of Edmund being always cold because of the Witch's touch. (Into the West and its companion piece go into a lot of detail about his wound and Thole suggests what he might have suffered at the Witch's hands.

A fascinating idea, and beautifully told. LWW would have been a lot stronger if Lewis had done what you did.

I really enjoyed this one-shot and how much it delves into Edmund's ordeal during the first book. The contrasts between cold and heat and your use of colors all work so well, and I really like how fully evil, even sadistic, you write the White Witch.

I had to laugh when you wrote that sometimes stories have a mind of their own. Don’t they?

Your writing was beautiful, and very skilled. I will admit, though, I have a very different reaction to the idea of Edmund keeping his scars. There is a song I absolutely love, called scars, by I Am They, where they sing about being grateful for the scars Christ has. And another song, by Casting Crowns, where one line sings, “When the hands that bear the only scars in Heaven touch her face.” Maybe, if you would like some advice? Maybe include something at the end, that hint at the fact that one day Edmund will no longer have scars. But again, advice you can take or leave as you wish! Just a thought that occurred to me.
