That’s good point, actually! It is logical that Obi-Wan did have a wilder, more emotional youth than not...Because he was so ashamed, he might become more strict, I didn’t think about it like that. Thanks for the reply!
And THANK YOU for this last chapter! It was a complete upheaval of my worried expectations. Qui-Gon was completely on point(we’ll, mostly but I’ll get that in a minute). His The parts from Qui-Gon’s perspective just a completely new look on this situation; while Obi-Wan and Satine are so young and vehement in their ideals, Qui-Gon is just there looking at them and saying, “Would you two just shut and get together?” Dammmmnnn, Qui-Gon just blew everything up, he made Obi-Wan confess but also broke him. As you pointed out, Obi-Wan probably did feel pretty abandoned after Cersai’s death( who I feel was very much a older sister that Obi-Wan looked up to) and as such would blame both Qui-Gon and himself, in his usual way. Those feelings bottled up inside of him, probably did cause him to devote himself to becoming a complete tool of the jedi, as you point out. But, the way you stated the contrast was what was theist exciting part of it, I feel. Yes, I know that it is not that the most action-packed part, but still the contrasts was so sudden that I did, in fact, almost squeal...But, that is also the one thing about this chapter that makes me think that Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon haven’t had a heart to heart in a loooong time, even before the Mandalore mission, if ever. The fact that Ovi-Wan has never sensed or seen that Qui-Gon doesn’t exactly believe in the Jedi Code seems a bit oc to me. Qui-Gon has been known for a long time before Obi-Wan’s apprenticeship to be a very liberal Jedi. So, the fact that they haven’t had this conversation before surprised me a bit, especially since the Melinda/Daan mission was to rescue Tahl, who was an old flame of Qui-Gon’s. And while he may not sense it immediately, Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon were close enough for Obi-Wan to see their pretty Obi-vious(Sorry, couldn’t help myself!) flirting. So, that’s the only thing that I am wondering about. But, as you say, it is open to interpretation. What’s your thought on this?
Sorry, if I seem like I’m nitpicking, I am really just curious! But, I really enjoyed the chapter! As always, thanks for updating!

Wow. Just wow...That was a mega bombshell. At first, it was up-ish, and the beat dropped. That was a darker chapter than normal, which I didn’t think I would like(and to be honest I don’t love it, but if I did, you should be worried. That would mean that no longer loving your writing but have become a mindless fanfic reader, just happy to see you updated!). But, now that I’ve read through it more I realize how necessary it was...If all the chapters were as light-hearted as the first few than that would mean that the story has progressed the characters at all. And as much as I love Obitine, they did have a definite spilt in ideals. At some point in their romance, they must have had a break in their steadfast beliefs. Satine’s pacifist approach versus Obi-Wan’s more aggressive negotiations. One problem I kind of have with this chapter is Obi-Wan’s slight oc-ness. The raid on the food convoy( supply truck?) seems a little more like Anakin’s(or Qui-Gon’s) style. I know that Obi-Wan would have had a large affect on Anakin’s style, and Qui-Gon on Obi-Wan’s, but still. That’s the only question that I have for this chapter but I still like it a lot. This one hurts but it still emphasizes the split between Obitine so well...as well as the divide between Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan. Can’t wait to see what the big talk will bring!
Np about the delay, S. Real life is annoying but necessary. Hope the drama wasn’t to bad? Good luck with it! Thanks for posting!

Sorry I couldn’t review sooner! Semester beginning tests are killing me! Anyway, I loved that Satine is keeps getting more and more fleshed out each chapter. She started off as a fairly strong mind, in terms of how she wants to run her life, and she keeps her strength, if doesn’t in fact get more! I know that this often a really hard part of writing: keeping the character consistent with previous characterization. But not only did you master this but you also are letting Satine grow in mind and body. So thanks, and please keep it up!
As for their relationship, I think you got them past one of the hardest parts to convey: that really difficult period of breakup/friend-zoning. If they’re too shaken up by it, then they’re breaking into oc territory. Obj-Wan can’t because he had to be the perfect, calm focused jedi, while Satine has to have a strong but stiff Mandolarian spirit. But, if they’re too sappy, then that makes their characters oc by forcing them against their proven nature, a sign of a immature, rushed fanfic. But, your story is neither of those. Obj-Wan and Satinw are acting pretty awkwardly, which is what I would expect from to inexperienced lovesick teens( they’re a little older but still). They seem pretty uncomfortable with the awkwardness but I thought that you smoothed it out with the food and apologies, so that balanced some it out. The one person I feel might have been a little too oc was Qui-Gon, because he seems to be so afraid of Obi-Wan’s clear disconnect with both and Satine. So maybe he could be a little less worried in the future, because I feel like he was always the one Jedi who thought that rules could be shifted if you thought they were silly. One of his main definitions was his belief that the Living Force was not defined by no attachments but many, “connecting each and every being in the galaxy”. (Sorry I just had to) This is might just be my view of him, but I think he would almost be more encouraging to Obitine, at least for a little longer.
Anyway, a great chapter as always, S! Thanks!

Jeez, you love to be heavy on the feels, don’t you, S? I mean I love it but wow. The zoning-Wan disconnect actually makes a lot of sense here because, knowing Obi-Wan, he would do that, as he did after the Melida/Daan conflict and that’s what made him the so-called “perfect Jedi”. He did do the “proper response” as a Padawn, but he sometimes did fail. But, in failing, he did do two things. He showed how the Jedi Code was lacking, especially when it came to natural emotions and relationships. And he did exactly what Qui-Gon was trying to get out of him: his incessant need to be perfect. I don’t mean this, in that he was arrogant or anything; rather, he felt that his shortcomings were so obvious and major that he had be that perfect image, not because of his pride but because of his shame and fear. I like how you did mention the Melida/Daan conflict, because it was clear how that affected him and everything that he did during his apprenticeship. So thank you!
Now, actually on this chapter. While I hate that it has to be done, I like how you portrayed the split between Obitine. This isn’t a irrevocable one, and indeed it is character building. It exemplifies another factor in their relationship. Obi-Wan will save her from herself, even if she hates him for it. And that’s why she’s in love with him.
Thank you, S., if you finished reading this oversized statement of my boring thoughts, but your story was too good for me not to have an opinion on it. Thanks!

Loved the Bo-Katan scene that you threw in there. Because she is such a important part of Satine and Satine is of her, you showed how far they have turned from each other. Yet there is still that unbreakable sibling bond which I feel you were able to bring out, while also emphasizing the split between them and their ideologies. Thanks so much.
Ps The biology seen between Satine and Obi-Wan was so clever. I mean Satine would sneak in that little comment/statement in there and use biology as an excuse. Adorable!

You two did do it SAFETLY, didn’t you Obi-Wan?
8/4 c15 Jedii
Awwwwwwww...they’re too adorable! Thanks so much, S. !
8/1 c14 Aww
This is both adorable and horrifying at the same time. Cute because Obi-wans Jeellllliiing. But absolutely terrifying because what if Obi-wan wasn’t there? I hope Satine was acting...

No, S. We all know you’ve been busy. Thanks for the new chapter! You were not joking about the time skipping, were you? I love Qui-Gon’s just” All right,, little too much skin! Sitting too close together!” Attitude. It’s adorable! Thanks!

What is it, who's dead? What a cliffhanger...

Satine is a kriffing livesaver. XD

Qui Gon's thoughts are calm yet fun: on the whole, there was rather too much skin exposed. Obi Wan was having more nighttime awakenings. He resolved to relocate his two young charges to a colder climate.

Thanks a bunchidoc! Loved it, it was absolutely on point with what I was thinking. And the jailbirds love song was adorably cute! Thanks, S!

Yo, I would LOVE to see more Qui-Gon acting as that father figure. He slightly guesses about Obi-wan and Satine, but kinda ships it but never shows it.
7/14 c9 Kiu
Dang, Obi-wan, you sly dog! You just wanted to hold Satine’s hand, didn’t you?
Thanks for the update, Sophie!

Oh great, the next chapter will be really good. I cannot wait to see...how this 'insult' would go.
7/11 c8 Sermione
Yes, I like this bit of not-fight :D
And Obi-Wan definitely have feelings for Satine. Does Qui-Go know about it?
