Loved how you showed the mix of reaction to Kid, very feasible. Enjoyed seeing the historical figures. Loved Bass Masterton. Great chapter,

It seems that just about everyone is out to stop Kid from participating in anymore competitions and it goes all the way to the top at Smith and Wesson. I think that they are going to pay heavily for their decisions. These two hired thugs don't know what they are getting into.

Most accurate shootist in the west, yay! It would take more skill too 'NOT' kill. So who is the man in the red shirt and the one with the bearded man dressed in black? Kid seems to be enjoying himself, which was what Heyes wanted so that is good. I have heard of all but one of the men you have notes on, Charlie Bassett, very interesting.

Another good chapter that puts the reader right in the midst of things. I'm a bit worried about them being followed though.

Really enjoying this, Heyes seems to have a natural ability to diagnose physiological woes..:) which is good for Kid. Feel sorry for him, seems lost and I agree with Heyes' prescription...I'm sure this will become more and more interesting...

Heyes crafted art of persuasion with the help of a few words of French may have swayed Curry’s decision to not enter the competition. Excellent chapter.

I loved the guys interaction. How you show the toll his awful experiences have taken on Kid, yet still keep the tenets of his personality. Good advice from Carstairs too. Enjoyed this.

This was a joy to read. I loved the 'almost argument' they had. Heyes was ready for anything the Kid could throw at him, he had answers for everything, even if they were unspoken. It was wise of Heyes to just leave the reading material with Kid and go on with his evening, even if it was cut short because he was distracted. I also agree with Mr. Carstairs, he doesn't need to try and be a proper businessman, he just needs to be himself even if that is hard at this point.

Glad will enter the contest! Heyes is right that one way or the other it will help him heal. I am enjoying the Terms universe again in the rereading. So happy to see new stories

So Kid's likely going to enter the contest. A lot of ramifications to consider. Hopw they kno what they are doing

Stories that involve real people or events are always Very interesting stories, and I can certainly see where Kid Curry bing in the contest could be a mixed blessing for the Colt Company

These businessmen are in it to make money, they may not want an outlaw/ex-outlaw to win the competition but they sure will get the publicity they want when he does.

Loved this story when it was first posted several years ago. I am still loving it. I can just see Heyes filling out the entry form in Kid's name, knowing that Kid is going to be so angry with him, but doing it anyway and he is right Kid needs to do this for himself.

Oh this is good.
