Another good one! Thank you for continuing to write S&H. I enjoy reading new ones even though I reread older ones, too. I can just “see and hear” the guys with your writing.

You've chosen the perfect venue for your series of stories-the car. Personal, intimate and integral to their vocation. I can just imagine the Torino whipping into a parking lot and screeching to a halt. And even though the story is very emotional and not light-hearted in the least, I appreciate the interjections of Starsky-isms. Black underwear after Labor day-anagram-telegram. Well down as usual!

Wonderful little story. I'm glad they sorted this out and will be there for each other.

Oh goodness, that was just wonderful. So poignant and so them. You handled the conversation with your usual skill and I was right in the back seat, feeling guilty for listening in on such a deeply personal exchange of pain and comfort. Beautiful.
