After reading this chapter, I definitely stand by my earlier review from chapter 2 that Emma manipulated Scott. And she did something that made Jean suspicious enough of Scott to use her telepathy on him. Now Emma's back in the picture which can only mean more trouble for them. Now enter Wolverine. Nice update!

So I may be biased but I believe Emma manipulated Scott into cheating on Jean. I mean, he hadn't strayed in the 6 years they've been married and then bam! I believe Emma was jealous of Scott marrying Jean and she couldn't get her claws into him anymore. But as always, great to see another story from you!

As a reader, who has finished most of your works. I have come to realize what I really appreciate about your storytelling, it is how you provide just the right amount of backstory needed to immerse the reader in the tale. This is especially beneficial in AU works, so that everyone is all on the same page. Keep it up.

I’m really loving the tone that you have set here! The narrator talking to the audience is a great choice that I love! I was so happy to have remy in this and Emma having a scene was interesting and finding out her back story! Young Jean and Scott are precious!

Very intriguing tale you are crafting here. This detective noir setting, somehow really works well these X-Men characters. I hope you are able to always have fun in creating your stories.

I love this chapter! I’m not happy that Jean and Scott are fighting but I do think it’s well written and I get both of their frustrations. Scott is messing up. Cheating is bad enough but while she’s pregnant and with your ex, jeez! Then he talked bad about her depression. The drama is real.

I love to watch you grow as a writer. With this story so far, you seem to have come upon a cheeky playfulness, that I did not pick up from your previous works, it's charming.
