for How to Build a Life

Ah, the big discussion in a cramped room! Esthar is not very welcoming, is It?
I liked the way they tiptoe around the real topic - as Squall says, the proper words aren't there. Still, their conversation feels very real, and Rinoa's feelings so understandable. Also Squall's worry for her, though not really expressed, is palpable. I liked that a lot.
Loved the ending - who wants grand gestures anyway?
But... Angelo T_T
I remember you said in discord you were struggling with present tense. I Just wanted to mention the writing is very fluid. Loved It!

Of course you can find a way to shine light even through a mandated quarantine. I love how you were able to bring Squall and Rinoa together together to talk about the big things in life that every couple faces. It felt candid and warm in such a sterile, cold environment. Fantastic job as always!

Big pandemic feels here with the enforced quarantine. I really liked the way you described the quarantine room and the vivid picture you created here. It seems like an apposite environment in which people end up talking about Important Stuff. As they did here. I enjoyed the way they talked about things without really using any exact words for them. Felt very realistic.

Angelo… (T_T)

I like the ending - it feels very Squinoa.

As an aside, I recall you mentioning you were finding it hard to switch to present tense mode for this fic (I’m with you on that, I’m also a habitual past-tenser who dipped my toe into present tense writing only recently). It read very naturally IMO and your writing works just as well in present as it does in past.
