Awww the ending was so sweet, Hurin gets to meet his grandchildren *and* is reunited with Morwen!
To anyone who happens to be reading my review: Go read "Thranduil's Shadow"! It is an incredible story and you won't regret it!

Turin's reunion with Nienor was quite amusing and made me smile. Finally Finduilas and Turin are going to get married! So sweet :-)

YES SHE'S ALIVE PRAISE ELBERETH! :-) Turin better not fall for Nienor again or I'll have to strangle him myself lol. Thank you for keeping Finduilas alive, it makes me so happy! Sad that her fellow prisoners died, but at least she survived.

Hardcore canon-conservatists can just go away because this is fanfiction and we authors can do whatever we want :D Poor Turin (the theme of his story)! He honestly wants to do good, but just can't catch a lucky break, on top of his hasty, emotion-driven decisions.

"It had begun so well" is the theme of Turin's story. How I wish that the story would somehow be different, each time I read it. I do understand why he leaves to try and rescue his family, who he thinks are in danger (and they very well might have been), but he should have saved Finduilas first! He made a promise to Gwindor and broke it. Also my poor Beleg, he's one of my favorite characters and I actually cried the first (and second) time I read about Turin slaying him accidentally. It just seemed so unfair. Anyway, off to the next chapter! I've been reading many stories in this "Tolkien Reverse Summer Bang", and it's been really interesting to see what people have been coming up with!
