for Z is for Calabacín

This is a cute, cute story. The whole time I wondered how could they not recognize a zucchini? I’ve eaten them forever. And loved them. I love them in zucchini bread, but I also stuff them, pan fry them, air fry them, put them in soup & stew, and spiral cut them for “zoodles”. I’d love to know how Marco cooked them.
Loved the word interplay between Marco and Chet. And Johnny. Why couldn’t they just accept that it was called a calabacin?
The description of the modified Victorian house was interesting. I agree that since it was an apartment that there should have been some sort of new plan submitted for approval before construction. Especially since it wasn’t clear how to access the various parts of the house. Chet’s right, could have had a really bad outcome.
The argument over who has culture and who is bettered cultured. Yep, I can sure see that happening and that Johnny and Chet would argue about it. And I think that would be a hoot to listen to.
My zucchini plants are thriving outside right now. I can’t wait until I can harvest some.
Thanks for a good read! Now that you are at the end of the alphabet, what’s next?

Great start, but just a tip. When writing dialogue with a speaker tag after it, it should be written like this: "I'm going to get the cooking pot," Johnny said. It's not written like: "I'm going to get the cooking pot." Johnny said.
