for Transformers Titan: Devastation

1/2 c34 2Heart of the Demons
This chapter is a pretty awesome way to begin 2021. The consequences of Nova Prime's actions and many more affect all parties involved. This is what I love about your "Transformers" fanfiction as a whole - you're not afraid to go the extra mile on actions having consequences. Absolutely nothing is black and white for these characters.

Well this chapter didn't go anything like I thought it would (I expected the putting out of governmental fires) but I loved it nonetheless and fighting Katrina again should be fun.

Fitting end for Akreville. Very fitting.

I'm cautiously optimistic about the Beast Wars comic until we get more info on it. I really hope they delve into time travel and 24th century Cybertron more. The series never did that enough.

Hi. Man, what a year was this, amirite? ludicrous fuckeries, incomprehensible assholes, and the ever torturing bitch that is LIFE itself. Well, at least you've made a dope curtain call to end this year by giving us one hell of an arc.

I'm truly intrigued by how the progress of this fanfic have spiraled into such an overwhelming shizz by the course of the years ever since it's first written. Yet it still retain the classic touch only you could've pulled. for that I must deeply convey my gratitude to you.

however, regarding this last arc of this year... it's sad to say, that I'm kinda stumped in giving a genuinely acceptable review.

(keep in mind, the next jumbled mess of incomprehensible words are simply my personal-based view. Therefore, it tends to fall on the subjective side of the spectrum. So, if you're having difficulties to accept my bullshit writing, then safe to say, I'm not gonna judge you for it.)

Well then, the first main thing. The arc's main villain's reveal. Truth be told, i wasn't completely sure about the sudden reveal of Nova Prime being done this way. I mean being the VERY FIRST Prime in the history of the Cybertronians, you ought to give him a much, how do i say it,... more dynamic entry than any other average bad guys' entrance. Again, being the very first Prime and the immediate predecessor of Optimus, the other Bots could've been much more stupefied by his sudden appearance after such a long period of absence. especially, since this kind of event will be making a much larger role in the upcoming chapters.

Yet in this particular arc, the wording of the scenes made it seems they've become much more indifferent and almost downright uncaring about the entire stuffs at some points. Then again, perhaps the continuous reveal of many astronomical bullshitteries from the previous parts up till now, have numbed their 'shock systems' all the way to zero.

The other main thing. The character interactions. Just to be clear, I am well aware that this particular arc only revolves around our ever troubled alien guests in this gods damned world. However, even with all the shits they've been through, surely the friends and allies they've gained throughout the entire story wouldn't be that willingly to just let them get their afts burned up.

What i meant by that, even with such a massively personal affair of their own, perhaps it would be much interesting to involved some outside interference in order to strengthen the already overwhelming odds to the much spicier level. Be it by the humans or perhaps the torn-apart espers of the world. Heck, almost if not all Atlantian characters from the previous chaps have gone no-show at all during the crisis, and to be clear, i do understand that this kind of stuffs are not exactly their type of field. But considering the global declaration for war by Nova and the plan to terraform the planet, you'd think that they'd do some things about it, however mundane, to help prevent shits from worsening. (at least for me, it would be a lot more engaging.)

Finally, into the more unrelated stuffs story-wise. perhaps it's too late for me to say this. But, man! You're really don't like being subtle about showcasing your references, huh? i mean, seriously, how many other pop-culture classics do you need to tear apart in order to make this fanfic?
Well frankly, there are obviously other source materials that you copied in order to enhanced the already established world to be even more appealing that thankfully not too transparent. But the ones that are, often made me thinks that you've gotten burnt out to think up new and original stuffs.

i mean, there's some reference about Gladiator, especially that classic one line from Russel Crowe's character - Maximus in the very first arc, with the inclusion of Evangelions' angels for spectacle sake, you've got some bits of Aquaman and a few Water World elements and many others i've forgotten for the Atlantians-related chaps, the obvious X-men related stuffs involving the espers, some Gundam and Justice League Animated series' materials both in the Human and Cybertronian elements. Heck, the 12th chapter's entire premise itself looks similar to the 8th episode of the (now forgotten) Iron Man anime series back on early 2010s.

BTW, returning to this arc for a bit, forgive me for asking this. But did you somehow wrote these two chaps altogether while watching DCEU's Man of Steel simultaneously? I mean, the parallels are so blatant that you could practically see the identical aspects played out in there. Like how about that time Nova broadcasted his message to all Terra's inhabitants, or even Megatron's whole fisticuffs with Galvatron, and don't forget about Nova and Optimus' entire exchange in their dream realm added with Optimus and Ironhide's escape from the Proudstar.

Now, i don't necessarily despise this type of writing - much less on a fanfiction, considering many people here are simply average witted peeps who likes to play with their fantasy - at all. In fact, i for one also intrigued by this kind of style. It's just that for me, when someone tried to create something, at the very least they ought to make the references or the inspiration behind them to be little to no apparent for the audiences to take apart. So that the ones who enjoys their work, could feel something that's fresh and somewhat new for the ride. Like what you did in the previous two books.

So, my conclusion for all of this: I'm getting mixed feelings about this fanfic's current progress yet I'm still standing by my word, that i will stick around till the very end to see what will finally become to our characters. Just like i said in the previous note, this entire thing are simply my personal take. If you by any means don't give a damn about it, then i wouldn't force it on you anymore than i already did.

BOY, that was some long-ass jizz right there. Welp, the year's finally over and hopefully the world as a whole would finally able to get back to it senses. Well, for what it's worth, truly sorry that i had to waste your time reading this worthless and totally useless rambles. Guess i'll see you when i see you, then.

May you have a good life afterwards. :)

well...doubt anyone is going to be talking about Humans vs Espers for awhile after that.

Nova falls but Galvatron is still around. Should be fun to see what chaos he'll wreck and how the people of Terra will react.

Ah well, century's still young.

An interesting chapter focusing on only the Transformers. This chapter was absolutely an insane one, one that I couldn't stop reading. Your "Transformers" fanfiction is consistently refreshing, and I'm happy to be along for the ride. I'll be sure to read more chapters from you next year.

And hell finally opens. So glad to see Nova and so terrified to see what he'll be unleashing on Terra.

And looks like Galvatron will be the same wildcard as always.

After reading the first part of the "Event Horizon" arc, I can tell that things for Cybertronian, human, and esper alike will escalate even further with everybody on edge. Good luck on posting part 2.

...geeeezzze

Darren and Annie are different people now and there's definitely no way back for them. Seeing them fight like they did in this is a heartbreaker and a tearjerker. Absolutely nothing is black and white in the "Transformers: Titan" universe, and I'm happy about that. You actually care about the characters, and you give them so many layers. For that I'll always appreciate you.

yikes Chaos at every turn...and Unicorn has not even shown up yet.
12/14/2020 c30 Game-Watch
Oh things are heating up. Can only imagine what Megatron is hoping to use all this chaos for.
12/12/2020 c30 2Heart of the Demons
This war that everybody's fighting just keeps on escalating. The lines are getting blurrier and blurrier for them all. You continue to write an incredibly engaging story and are comstantly improving on its plot and characters. I'll always appreciate that.

Hey, long time no see.

Damn, just how long has it been? 10? 15 years? ah, no matter, the good thing is you're still here and have progressed SO MUCH since last time we met. truth be told, I'm truly grateful for your effort to update this fic.

Yet, somehow, i get the feeling that there's seems to be something... odd about these recent chapters that just rub me the weird way.

I can't seemingly fathom what is it about these newer additions' problems that bug me.

Is it because the lack of interaction between the kids and their Autobot friends? well, that one was already a given since they already gone public many chapters ago and they couldn't exactly let any MORE people to know about their relationship with the seemingly uninteresting people like the trio.

Is it because the step down of the visualization of the actions each time many of the main
chars tried to elevate the plot armor and caused the resulting spectacle to become more
mundane? well, it could indeed be a crucial problem. IF it was taken from a strictly subjective perspective ONLY.

Or maybe it's because of the more dragged on and seemingly endless pile of foreshadow that seems to be only giving the much needless suspense of the story? i can't exactly be certain about that myself.

See? even i couldn't understand and aptly describe just what is it about the newer installments that keep me making a beef about it.

HOWEVER, just because I've spewed many of that shits earlier doesn't stop me from appreciating this fic as a whole. regardless of what has happened, i still adore this fic as it was back then. and whether you'd believe it or not, i still have faith in you making this to be more interesting than it is now.

I fully understand that i can't exactly force you to do anything more grandeur than all of this could give simply to appease my personal preference. since other people would also want their fair share of entertainment themselves. therefore, my current wishes for this fic, is for it to not be too convoluted, too contrived, too dragged on and too much pain in the eyes to read as an entertainment.

Well, that's all i could say for the moment. do hope you'll, at the very least, finally concluded this one with an impactful end.

May you still have a good life. :)

P.S.: you know what would truly wet my pants? is for those peeps on the DNAgents or, Heavens forbid, the OZ to create a giant mutant hybrid of monster army to combat the rest of the main chars especially the Cybertronians, when they have ALL of their sub-group combiners come together in one MASSIVE warfare! that I'd believe would be awesome to see.

P.P.S.: i wonder if we'll have the one and only, Big Chungus in here. ah, who am i kidding? none of the writers in this place could actually define His omnipotence and the sheer raw prowess that's in His presence alone.
11/2/2020 c29 Game-Watch
Pretty much figured that about the Neo-Knights but still nice to see them get some love. Though I'm worried about Darren. Seems to be becoming a tad colder.

And Grindor being a badass. That was pretty cool.
