Im' glad for D'Tan and I hope Ba'el will find her path, unlike her, she's more younger and Saavik has a lot of tie. They are both hybrid but doesn't share the same backstory, Ba'el's parent love each other.
In some way, I think Starfleet must be really hard for Ba'el because she's a Klingon/Romulan hybrids, both species are/were enemy of the Federation and they hate each other. I still remember how it went for Simon tarses and he was just 1/4 Romulan/Human
If you ever write a fanfic about ba'el and he rlife in starfleet, i'll be your best reader (but probably your only one)... don't feel any obligations. I wish you had more review in this story. So many great characters like Sloan, koval, Saavik, Spock, D'Tan...

I love seeing Spock again as well as how you're tying plot lines together and tying some up or moving them to another level

I like your take about the unification movement. Truly, I was never a big fan of Spock or the Vulcan, I only read your fanfic for the Romulan stuff. Spock's movement, from my view, always look like a cultural war against Romulan culture. Specially, his discourse about enlightment and logic for the Romulan. It's ironic when we know the Romulan fled away from Vulcan because they didn't want to follow Surak's ideology. Vulcan with emotion aren't really well treated. And the fact Vulcan practise child marriage (I don't care why it's logical) and are a bit more patriarcal than the Romulan... I mean the only problem with Romulan is the Tal Shiar. Vulcan society isn't perfect.

I like how Lonfast doesn't care about logic and doesn't want to deal with Vulcan ideology lol.

It is amazing how you have built this extensive universe and keep it interesting over the course of a long story!

I love the dynamics of Ajeya and Saavik in this! I also like the glimpse of the two of them and Ragnilh moving together probably with very similar expressions on their face showing that they're connected. Ba'el is also brilliant with her concern and breaking into the tension. I also enjoyed the comparison to Hellguard and the Jem'Hadar.

What a great chapter! His grandfather was First! And then that ending! I am always so happy to see the notice that you've posted a new chapter and this was another wonderful one
