Oh boy. This was a big chapter. So Katie's dad is corrupt. No surprise there. I wasn't surprised Sue was upset with Paulo for going along with it. I understand why he did it (bunch if money to help his dad and ass ll), but damn. Somebody's got to do something about this. It was really off-putting that even the school was complicit in this debacle. Money or no I cant stand that people like Katie and her dad can just get away with this. But what can you do. Anyway, cant wait for the next chapter.

I love this chapter. It was wonderful. Always a treat to see Lucy's perspective. It was a surprise to see how Lucy defended Paulo and the others. It was quite a bloody endeavor. It was good to see how Paulo's phone got back to him. I was curious about that. And Lucy going through Paulo's phone, naughty naughty. I thought it was both interesting and sad to see Lucy realize how much she missed and how it affected her. Of course Paulo's code is Sue's birthday. Way to lay on the cheese *thumbs up*. Can't wait for the next update, I'm looking forward to it. Good to hear we are back on track.

Man Katie is a mean one! I never really liked her in the comics because of how self absorbed she was/is. I like Abbey's reactions in this and how easily upset he is. It really let's us into his mind a bit and helps us see how HE views Paulo as apposed to what really is. And it's kind of sad to be honest. From his perspective you would think that Paulo was this horrible person that was incapable of sympathy or empathy. A sociopath who approaches every situation with the thought of what he can get and how best to hurt other for his own amusement. The crying of tears? All a trick! True sadness and pain? Wrong! Completely incapable of it! And if these things are seen of Paulo, the first and only appropriate response would be; what are you playing at? What's your angle? What do you want? I know why Abbey's opinions on this are formed from Paulo's past behavior and his own fathers actions, but still. This is just really sad. Not only because we know it to be wrong, but because of the dangers it provides. It justifies just about any act we perpetrate against these kinds of people without any self-examination or self-responsibility at all. We all know that there are few things that Paulo could do to further alienate himself from the light in abbey's eyes. Paulo is just a bad guy and Abbey needs to protect others him, and occasionally that may require a bit of violence. You can't ask people like Paulo not to do the things they do, and so a little violence (proportional to the situation at hand) is necessary to show them where the line is. And crossing that line requires a very harsh response. And of course it is quite confusing when he himself is called out on those actions, because he seems himself as acting completely in good faith. I'd have more to add to this, but then my review would be way too long. So instead I'll add a few more points about the overall chapter instead by saying that I like Stacy. She is such a nice person and a great foil for Katie's...Katie-ness. I liked how she was able to notice that Sue had gone the extra mile to look nice for this little party and was able to deduce why. And lastley, poor Lucy. I feel bad for her. It is undoubtably a horrible feeling to have everyone move on (though she is unaware that they do still suffer the feeling of her absence). I can't wait to see more of her perspective and how she fits in to what happend. More Lucy is always good. Anyway, I'll be waiting excitedly for the next chapter. Always a pleasure to see this updated. Have a good day!

I really liked this chapter. It was good to have Sue and Abbey have a heart-to-heart. I'm sure there is plenty for them to talk about. I didn't doubt Abbey was curious as to if/when Sue had really begun dating Paulo. And I was sure he would have plenty to say in regards to that revelation. I hadn't expected this, but it was certainly good to get to see it. And of course, bad news if Abbey and Sue are hoping Jazmine isn't there, cause she is! And looking more differently than ever! This is sure to be an extreme shock to the both of them. And I'm sure that at least Sue will end up fininding out that Lucy is there. Can't wait to see what happens next!

Hey, this was another great chapter! I was curious as to Lucy's perspective, since she made a surprise appearance in the last one. That was pretty great. I love her interaction with Stacy. Awkward, but Stacy clearly has some understanding. She can tell that Lucy is not all that well herself, despite how she tries to portray herself. Poor Lucy, I feel for her in this one I really do. Mike's actions had really effected her, that's for sure. And it's unfortunate that she feels like every friends is the same because of Mike. I mean, some of their actions in the past have helped to further this belief, but it is still sad that she can't see beyond that to what they are really like. Anyway, another great chapter and I can't wait to see more!

Also, was there supposed to be more to this chapter? It seems to end in the middle with Stacy saying she knows in Lucy's heart that all is not right. After that it seems to repeat the begging of the chapter. Anyway, I hope I haven't inconvenienced you with this if it was an error.

I hate to be that guy again, but you're still working on this right? 3 months later and no updates is a bit concerning...

OMG! THIS CHAPTER WAS SO MUCH YES! Paulo carrying Sue was really sweet. As was Sue accusing Paulo of being grabby as a way to cover up her own enjoyment of the situation. Poor Abbey and Jasmine, it's just not working out between the two. Hopefully they can find someone they can both be happy with. The kissing scene was the best part of this chapter. I liked how you gave a detailed description of Sue's thoughts and feelings in that moment. It feels so much like how she would be reacting internally. At least from what I had gathered from her personality, anyway. And of course both of them being so distracted that they fail to notice Sue's mother pull up. That was adorable. I could help but smile and laugh when Sue's mother said they would talk about the kiss when they got back home. Perfect! All of the moments in this chapter were so great. And of course Paulo getting his phone back in his mailbox. FROM LUCY! :D I REALLY was not expecting THAT! How was Lucy even at the party? Why wasn't she mingling if she was? Why did Lucy bring Paulo's phone back? How did she even know he had left it behind? And did Sue know about all of this? So many questions in this chapter! Anyway, no prob about the updating. Life gets to us all sometimes, being difficult and all of that. I hope everything starts going better for you. Keep up the good work. You're doing a great job with this!

I loved this chapter! It would be nice to see Paulo and Abby studying at Abby's house together. Poor Stacy, having to put up with all that. And at her own birthday party no less! I hope she gets the guts to ditch Katie sometime. I never really liked that character, she is way too selfobsorbed. Also I'm surprised that Abbey and Jasmine are still taking a break. Maybe it's for the best, but I had thought Paulo helped them to smooth it all out. Poor buggers (Abbey and Jasmine). Plus poor Paulo. I know how bad he wanted to help them and to get back on to speaking terms with Abbey. Well, hell get there. I wonder who it was that was coming down from the mansion? Sue seemed really adimate to leave in a hurry. Dragging poor Paulo and not even letting him get his phone. I do hope Paulo ends up getting his phone back though. It's SUCKS to lose your phone! Anyway, can't wait to see more! This is still hands down one of my favorite stories!

Another really good chapter. Paulo and Jazmine having a heart to heart is pretty good. Poor abbey. I hope he can get over his anger and rage against Paulo, as he hasn't really been bad in a while. And it's good that Paulo and Sue have decided to stick around. Hopefully they can start something up and help make this a good birthday party for Stacey. She certainly deserves it. There are quite a bit of things I liked about this chapter. Hopefully the next one comes out soon, and is just as good. I'm looking forward to it.

Wow! This was filled with shocks. It was surprising and interesting to see Jazz acting this way. Baby and Paulo working out their differences and talking? Now that was a pleasant surprise. I also enjoyed seeing Stacey and Paulo's interactions. It's nice to see someone being nice to Paulo other than Sue or David. Also nice to see somebody who doesn't hold Paulo's past actions against him. Poor Paulo though. Getting into a fist fight with a drunk guy when he did nothing to hurt Jazmine. I hope that guy learns to gather the facts and understand a situation before resorting to violence next time. And finally we have the return of DRUNK SUE! Very entertaining, as I thought it would be. And she's very sweet to Paulo when drunk as well. Wasn't expecting that. Though not completely sweet. As we can see, Sue can be a little bit territorial. I like it! But drunk Sue is best Sue, and I'll take it anyway I can get it. Anyway, awesome chapter as always, and I look forward to seeing what you have planned next for these guys. Peace!

This was a nice chapter. I like how Sue and Paulo's intractions with each other show how comfortable they are in their relationship. They haven't been dating long and they work well within the peramitters of their dating and professional life. Nothing seems awkward at all. The fact that they are more worried (genuinly) about how the food tastes as apposed to what the food means or doesn't mean is great. Sue made it for him and admits to the level of effort she put into it to make it TASTE GOOD. And she smiles in appreciation when he enjoys how it tastes. It's not filled with characters wondering or gushing about what it means or its implications. Something good can be done for someone else without it having to mean something deeper; they are in a relationship and she made a conscious effort to do something nice for him. No further explanation needed, and none inferred. And it was set up nicely here. I like how they are making plans to go to a party and to spend time together as well. Not all kiss kiss lovey lovey in this story. And it's appreciated. Honestly, there are some types of stories and fanfiction (and even anime, manga, and original western content) that I can't read or watch because they do that so often. I can't wait for this party chapter. Will be good to see how they behave with each other in a leasurly group setting, as well as how they interact with everyone else. Much different way for them to spend time together than what we've seem so far. Plus, if there will be alcholol, the return of drunken Sue will be interesting. Like I said, I can't wait, but I'm more than willing to for quality like this. Great job again, Ad Libitum. Looking forward to the next one!

I like this. This was an interesting change of pace, and helps to fill in a little time with other characters that aren't in a relationship. It show's that there is more to the story than just the building romance, while also keeping us in a place that we are familiar with. It was a good choice to bring Mike into this and have the chapter focus on other aspects of (one of the other) main character's relationships. It's a unique decision that helps add realism and believeability, and allows the story to go forward without forcing on pridictable or mundain. I enjoy myself without worry that the story or character interaction will become repetitive. I find myself excited to see other characters that are an integral part of a universe I'm familiar with, but aren't haphazardly thrown in for the sake of (obviously) pleasing it's intended audience. Everything I read a new chapter I'm excited to see where it will end up going next. If I had any complaint about this chapter at all, it would be that it wasn't long enough. But I read the author's note at the bottom and understand completely. Keep up the great work and I can't wait to see more. It's always a pleasure to read this story. Until next, peace!

Another fantastic chapter. Nice job on this, Lackluster. I like how the relationship between these two is going and how they interact compared to how this started. It's a nice show on how two people can get along when they are willing to try as well as be conscious about their behavior. I loved the bits with David last chapter. I would have like to have found out what David was up to for the second girl he mentioned. Anyway, keep doing this great work and I'll keep ready. I really enjoy it, Lackluster.

Damn! I didn't see any of this coming! These last three chapter wee really surprising and good. I think with an open mind and effort these two can be really good together. And both are adorable. Also, I think these two make the cutest offspring in all of BCB. So there's that. Cant wait to see what you roll out with next. Seeing you update this is always one of the highlights of my day.

Oh mo! Poor Sue. No good deed goes unpunished I guess. I love how both are so stubborn. Paulo wants to keep his "holiday", and Sue doesn't want to admit that she wanted to be there. It's slow progress in their friendship, but that's what I like. A slow pace that doesn't force anything on it's characters or readers. Everything is allowed to happen naturally. This is something I feel many stories I run into on the internet lack, including the actual comic this is based on (please don't hate me for that!). Anyway this review won't be too long as It's thanksgiving and I have much to do. Keep up the good work, as I think you have developed a fantastic formula with this! And Happy Thanksgiving to you and everyone else!
