Well at leastm happy yuuki didn't turn against aiyora even if it was for a misunderstanding... It would have been a very complicated situation if she tried to harm her somehow & ended up with the whole vampire society against her while hurting kaname in the process (regardless i doubt she would have done much harm against her on her own even with a good plan) Shizuka truely knows what she's doing as always. & as for aiyora's empathy woth girls in need, i really like it. It shows how her own hardships within their society & newfound experience in the showbiz world forged a strong feminist instinct within her that fits her position best if she wants to stand on her own feet one day. not only with these two but also yuuki at first, then shizuka at some point & even rima earlier in the night. Even if she is a little overconfident or unfiltered at times, it is this strong awareness of the real world that stands as her greatest strength. She knows how to look further than what she is told or taught which gives her a sense of reality that lacked heavily in the haughty vampire society (purebloods more so than aristocrats i guess since they live too long isolated from the world)

Happy New Year!
My thoughts:
I found the part where Aiyora just disses Yuki’s dress while having a spa hilarious. Poor Takuma, hope he learns his lesson. Just consult the fashionista expert next time lol. The part where she talks to Zero I took as her wanting to brag about her dress for this special occasion and being the usual prideful Aiyora.

The scenes with Senri and Aiyora were adorable and their banter is cute. I really like how you’re enforcing the fact Senri is guiding Aiyora to “learn her manners”, and the best part was that she trusts him enough to go along with it. (Like seriously, if Kaname tried that on her before, she’d flip out (with the tacit statement being she doesn’t feel comfortable around him) and try to seduce her way out because she knows he can’t resist.) I also like that she’s being more open with Senri as seen with how he knows about the necklace situation. I just hope they’ll continue being discreet with their relationship. Although any vampire with a brain cell can put two and two together, they’re lucky that the wrong ears with enough power haven’t been told of this yet (except for Rido). There’s surely going to be some old uppity nobles that will take issue with a Pureblood being with involved with a half-blood even if the two are related.

The part where Aiyora shows her softer side for Rima was a surprise but a welcome one. It also implies that she is utterly secure in her relationship with Senri to directly ask him to dance with Rima. Although she made up with Kaname, those childhood scars aren’t as easy to heal and have made their mark on her, for better or worse. Here we see the better effects that have come out of it.

I personally find Yuki’s “obliviousness” to the true nature of Kaname’s feelings towards Aiyora understandable. She wasn’t raised as a Pureblood vampire for most of her childhood, and with “human” values, it never crossed her mind that her perfect Kaname may have romantic feelings towards his sister (a big yikes from a human’s perspective). In canon, I always felt that she had trouble adjusting to a vampire in canon, especially in her relationship with Kaname because he’s now available to her... but at the same time, he’s her brother. That’d be hard for someone like her to take in. One taboo switched for another and a whole new set of values and expectations to boot.

I find the Yuki-Kaname-Aiyora triangle interesting, especially as we approach the scene where Yuki will be turned. Aiyora and Yuki will eventually clash with their differing ideologies and Kaname is going to be stuck in the middle mediating lol. Honestly, I feel sympathy for Yuki because she will learn about Kaname and Aiyora’s unique relationship and it’s not going to be fair to her that Kaname is already set on Aiyora while at the same time, making advances toward Yuki because she’s his intended. From what I’ve seen, he doesn’t seem to making any real effort to move on from Aiyora and frankly that’s going to be an issue when Yuki becomes a vampire. I predict a very messy family drama coming up unless Kaname is firm on his intentions and is upfront for once without any mushiness or ambiguity.

You hold Yuki too high she’s just a dumb brat who doesn’t understand anything. Proof is at the end of the chapter she thought Kaname was worried about his sister. Waiting for the time when truth will be thrown into her face.

Aiyora's personality is becoming unhinged and I'm still unsure what to feel about it. I was a little befuddled and a bit irritated when she bothered Zero since she was the one that concluded they have no business with each other anymore. I love the times Senri kept roasting her as much as he admires her at the same time though. That moment of kindness for Rima was unexpected but very much appreciated. It shows that Senri was right. There is still some good in Aiyora, the side that made him fall in love with her in the first place. This is what I meant about Senri managing to bring out the good in her, while Kaname clashed so much with her that he brought out her worst instead. Aiyora is secure in her relationship with Senri, whom only encourages the healthy aspects of their pairing while working through their worst.

On the other hand, I am liking Kaname again now. He seems to be really progressing this time. I don't really care about Yuki but she seems to be in character. That's as much praise as I can spare for her.

First of all Happy Holidays!
Onto my thoughts:
Well... yay that Kaname specifically mentions his mistakes, but how he only mentions it after giving her a necklace and how he presents the gift kind of bothers me. Although admittedly it may be my bias against him that makes me willing to nitpick and judge his character more harshly. He’s still a tad manipulative, but it looks like he is at last genuinely trying to be better which is always good to see. It’s interesting to see the new dynamic between Aiyora and Kaname as they fully cleared the air between them and can now develop at a healthy level. There’s a degree of attraction between them (no other reason for that blush cuz Aiyora ain’t usually shy) but I still seriously can’t see anything happening beyond that unless Senri is out of the picture (either dead or her feelings become platonic).

Also not a fan of poly relationships, and I see all three as monogamous. Aiyora might be more inclined for polyamory because of her tendency for sexual deviance (and her fascination with mistresses) but I think ultimately she’ll stick to one partner only. She’s loyal as we see in this chapter despite her initial conflict (altho she made a choice that lets her eat her cake, the relationship is still the priority). A girl needs her diamonds lol. (Also if you want an idea for a side story maybe one where we see her modeling and possibly with Senri? Just a thought.)

It was nice to see her officially be friends with Maria, girl needs more gal friends (and in another sense an ally). Hopefully Aiyora won’t start a habit of using her status/power against those close to her when convenient because that ruins friendships. It’s a good thing there are people looking after her because she isn’t afraid to cause a fuss. And it looks like she’s growing into her powers more.

I’m curious how things will turn out that Kaname will have to turn Yuki. Her being his intended bride gave him a lot more motivation in canon but since his affections have turned to Aiyora the drive isn’t the same. I’m guessing the threat of Rido. And Yuki man... she is a piece of work in this fic. She makes questionable choices out of recklessness and deep rooted insecurities, but I seriously doubt she will actually do anything to Kaname and Aiyora. She knows he cares for Aiyora, and Aiyora isn’t going to tolerate this Shizuka nonsense. And regardless of how it comes across, Yuki does care for Zero; I think it’s more likely she’ll sacrifice herself for him like in canon. Although she’ll probably feel tempted by the offer to get rid of Aiyora, Yuki isn’t that blind and self-centered to try something drastic like killing when there isn’t a moral justification, and there’s another option presented. She’d stew in her guilt for even thinking about it in the first place. Plus she isn’t a good fighter much less assassin.

Speaking of Zero, poor dude. He’s going to face a lot of harsh truths if he hasn’t already but hopefully he’ll be able to get to yeet out of the whole vampire(Kuran) drama and live his best life. Not really counting on it because he has a large soft spot for Yuki. Lol to Aiyora, she is brutally honest of whether she likes you or not. Ngl, I’m more of a Zero fan but Aiyora’s character is already established to be apathetic to those she isn’t close to so I expected that harsh reaction. Like, she literally made a similar comment about Kaname when she forgave him a bunch of chapters back.

On a side note, thank you for the shout-out author. I like to leave anonymous reviews for personal reasons so I apologize for the trouble.

I’m worried whether the slut Yuki will try to do something to our Aiyora.

Just when I was getting a good impression of Shizuka this happened. Why kill Aiyora is it for revenge against Rido but will Kaname spare her then? But if Yuki kills Aiyora can she do that isn’t Aiyora more stronger I want to see her try.

Aiyora is so judgmental omfg. It's annoying but also kinda hilarious, especially as Senri tries hard to look after her confrontational ass. XD

I am also expectant of the disappointment from Zero fans after this lmao. Aiyora officially does not give two shits about him.

As for the Shizuka and Yuki thing. I don't think Yuki is capable of killing either Kurans, no matter how irritating she is. Nonetheless, this chapter still triggered me so much and I am so frustrated with her. She really handles all the Zero situations too poorly.

Amazing chapter. Please update soon.

Omg I love takuma! This argument was so simple to fix yet, we're too used to over dramatic consequences for problems that could be easily fixed by communication so this outcometurned out really surprising lmao I really hope that they'll act on their words of finally working together for her sake! They need to take away all that toxicity from her life. & As for Shizuka I wonder how it will turn out she's trying to turn her against kaname & even yuuki in some way & from the way ai thought, she might start to believe in this possibility if pushed to a corner again, which scares me a little. I hope that nothing happens to push her that way. Then I still hope she comes to term with her weird attachement to her father & hears other people's perspective in order to not fully trust him or fall to his clutches again. At least now I can hope that she is safe from harm & maybe even get her to go back to a happier & less tension filled environment. Thank you for the update!

Wow, Ichijo surprised me in this one! It's a good surprise, in fact; who else could get BOTH Shiki and Kaname to reach a "compromise"? Especially since he's good friends to both his fellow Aristocrat vampire and Pureblood leader (and definitely better than how he didn't play much of a role in the later part of Vampire Knight after Sara Shirabuki enslaved him, and used him as a substitute for the affections she once held for his grandfather O.O)!

While he was frustrated with how Aiyora was using seduction as method for manipulation, he did see that she needed help before she ended up becoming twisted like Rido; also kudos for Ichijo calling out Kaname's toxic feelings... and I can't believe he had the nerve to reveal one certain escapade (Aiyora must've been embarrassed to death when Shiki revealed what Ichijo spilled about THAT)! XD

And thank god Kaname FINALLY apologized to Aiyora for everything - ignoring her for Yuki in her childhood, and smothering her with his obsessed feelings. That's a start...
