It liiiiiiives! Yay~! Seriously happy to see this update in my inbox even if it was at like midnight where I’m at. This story is the exact type of high fantasy I adore and your always masterful at integrating comedy into your story telling.

... I'm sorry, did Imoen just decide to ignore a Moonblade's rules, and did said Moonblade just decided to give in, presumably to avoid the argument that would ensue if it didn't?
And you know, after so much time treating skeleton warriors as disposable mooks in BGII, I had kind of forgotten they could be really, really scary in the first game.

This is a great fic. I tried to read it once when it was new and bounced off, but that was before I played Baldur's Gate. While it's hard to get into for people who haven't, it's immensely enjoyable for those who have, which is no doubt the intended audience. I love Imoen's apparent position as the adventurer whisperer, able to find recruits everywhere, for example.

A refreshing take! :D The intro was gripping. Sarevok's backstory was nicely done, Sephiria is such a sweet and pure soul, and Acherai is so interesting with his worldly ways... as well as the way he bullies poor Garrick heh.

Ah! I was right to wait for confirmation of Tazok's death. Stupidly resilient indeed.
Anyway. Honestly, it's a small wonder that the two groups joining up didn't end with everyone accidentally killing each other. Putting them all in the same inn was certainly asking for trouble. A little more, and Sarevok might have ended up being robbed of his final showdown. As it stands... yeah, that final battle is going to be messy. Two full adventurer parties vs well-prepared cultists, three (well, four, but who's counting?) demigods thrown into the mix... I expect utter chaos.
Quite liked Acherai's epiphany on the merits (or lack thereof) of godhood. That's a pretty credible reason for an evil aligned character to reject Bhaal's "gifts". And yes, I suppose Sephiria can work with that. At least until the finale. Which shouldn't be far away now. Thank you for this chapter, and keep up the good work!
