Ash woke to the sound of the alarm. Sleepily, he rolled over to slap the snooze button. In his semi-waking haze, he barely noticed that something felt... different.

When the realization of different finally worked through his haze, the shot of adrenaline jolted him around and up to a sitting position.

Slowly, he raised his shaking hands up to his chest and felt... nothing. He pulled his shirt out and looked down. Nothing. They were gone!

He jumped to his bathroom and looked in the mirror. Boy. Definitely a boy staring back at him.

"It was all just a dream..." His voice startled him. He was so happy he almost started to cry. What the hell, he thought, and decided it was okay to cry. After that crazy dream, nothing he could possibly ever do could be "girly".

He just had to tell somebody about the weird dream. Instinctively he started to call Emily.

Emily. She wouldn't even know his name. Heck, it probably wasn't even her phone number, he thought with a trace of sadness, as he punched the last two numbers and walked absentmindedly to the window.

"Hi, is this Emily? I had..." He stopped midsentence as he looked out the window.

Two XR4Tis were in his driveway. Both appeared mobile. He looked back into his room. A photograph of his mother was on his dresser, posing with a familiar looking teenaged boy in a suit. The person he called started talking.

"Who is this? Is this Yale again? Look, I told you, I still have over a year to decide where I want to go to college. Now if you'll excuse me, I have an important call to make."

"My name is Ash and I'm from your high school!" This is stupid, he thought, I shouldn't have called. It took him a while to notice that Emily fell silent. Shortly afterwards, he realized she wasn't in college yet. She wasn't in college yet! What the hell was going on?

Just then he heard a quiet, trembling voice: "You're... you're really a boy? It wasn't a dream? It really..."
