Another ancient times fic! It seems like these get more views, so I'm going to try to write more of them. Just as a reminder, Moses is Seti and Tuya's son in blood, and he looks exactly the same.

Ages:

Moses: 17

Ramses:19

...

Moses winces as his father continues to yell at Ramses. They were having one of their wild chariot races when poor Hotep's cat* got run over by Moses' chariot. The high priest came to pharaoh in hysterics, demanding the boys be punished.

Seti roars one last time before Ramses pushes open the throne room doors and storms right passed Moses.

"Uh, Ramses?" Moses says, hoping to comfort his brother.

"What? No, wait! Let me guess. You've gotten me into more trouble, am I correct?" Ramses says, turning around.

"You know I did not mean to run over that cat." Moses says.

Ramses crosses his arms and leans on the wall.

"Then why did you not slow down?"

"We were going too fast! If I would have pulled on the reins that hard, the horses would have lost their minds! I was not about to be involved in a chariot accident over Hotep's old cat!" Moses laughs.

"Why do you think everything is funny, Moses?" Ramses begins. "We...I mean I, always get in trouble for your antics!"

"I get in trouble too...Sometimes." Moses says.

"No, you never get in trouble! Father always picks on me instead of you!" Ramses says, turning to leave.

Moses grabs his brother's arm.

"He is not picking on you! He just wants to make sure you are a good pharaoh. Think about it! I will never get the opportunity to do something as great as you, Ramses!" Moses says, smiling at his brother.

Ramses turns around and shakes his head.

"I hate it when you are right. You get a look on your face..."

Ramses looks and sees the mischievous look on Moses' face.

"Yes, that is definitely it."

"What? Can you not handle how handsome my face is, brother?" Moses says, leaning on a table.

"I did not say that. You look like a hippopotamus anyway," Ramses jokes.

"Hey!" Moses says, shoving Ramses.

"Hay is for the royal horses," Ramses says as he shoves Moses onto the table.

The incense on the table falls over, and the broken vase pieces and powder spread out on the freshly cleaned floor.

"Ramses!" Seti shouts.

Ramses sighs.
