Lilo sighed as a warm breeze blew passed, her yellow sun dress fluttering in the wind. When Stitch had suggested they take the night off before, she didn't realize he really meant more of the day. She ended up sneaking out of school early, something she was sure would come back to bite her later. But if she was being honest with herself? She didn't really care. The thought of getting to be away was far too enticing. And getting to spend it with the love of her life added to it even more. Though the longer she waited the more she thought maybe she got the wrong time. Or maybe even the wrong place. At least the storms had finally passed. The sun was a welcome companion after all this time.

"Where are you, boojiboo?" she asked herself.

She felt a little silly sitting by herself at a table on the edge of small playground. There were some little kids playing, and their parents were giving her strange looks every now and then. She did her best to ignore their whispers. But they were very vocal about the teenager being out by herself during school hours. She just wished Stitch would finally arrive.

Eventually she could hear the familiar sound of the hovercar as it whirred around the corner. She was quickly taken aback when it came into view and she realized it wasn't the same vehicle they would use every now and then. This was a full mini cruiser. Much like the one Stitch had stolen many years ago but with room for two. Given to them and put under Jumba's care for an emergency. What made this cruiser much more special than their other one was that it was actually capable of space travel.

When he finally pulled up beside her the hood to the vehicle quickly retreated back, revealing Stitch and his big smile. It sent her heart into a flutter, but she pushed that to the side for now.

"What are you doing?" she whispered to him.

"Gaba?" Stitch looked at her quizzically. "We taking the day off."

"Yes but-" she looked back at the parents. They were quickly grabbing their kids and hurrying them away. "You can't just take this."

"Why not?" he asked, tilting his head. "We need it to go to space."

"S-space..." She couldn't believe what she was hearing. "W-we can't do that. We could get in trouble. Big trouble."

After aliens had become known and started moving to Earth, space travel had become much more difficult. A near alien invasion will do that. Certain regulations and procedures were put into place to keep the planet and it's people safe. Forms she herself signed for approval.

"Isn't that part of the fun?"

Lilo's heart pounded in her chest. Stitch could be such a trouble maker. But it wasn't like she wasn't either. And the thought of doing something that could get them in trouble was both enticing and exhilarating. And with how much stress and pain she had been under lately, the word 'no' was having a lot of trouble coming out. There was barely any coaxing. Stitch just grabbed her hand and as she was pulled into the cruiser a smile was already on her face.

Within moments there were shooting out of the atmosphere and into the familiar expanse. There was a brief pause by the moon. And no matter how many times she saw it this close it was always beautiful. Its pale surface against the darkness always managed to lift her spirits. Stitch knew that, letting them slowly circle it for a long while before moving on. Lilo just continued to stare. Taking in the sight as much as she could. Her mind only being brought back to reality when she heard the computer voice.

"Engaging hyper drive in five...four...three..." it said.

"Stitch? Where are we...?"

"One."

A sudden and unavoidable pressure forced Lilo into the back of her seat. The cruiser's hyper drive wasn't quite as smooth as the larger ships she had been on. But that didn't matter much. It was only a few minutes before they were pulled out. And right where the moon had been in her sights just a little while ago was now a planet. A giant mass, much bigger than Earth, of green and purple.

"We're here," Stitch said smugly.

He brought them down to the planet's surface. It didn't look like they were near any city. Or any sort of civilization for that matter. The water here was green and the majority of the fauna was incredible shades of purples. Dense jungles the likes of which Lilo hadn't seen before.

"This place is beautiful," Lilo said as she stepped from the cruiser. The ground was oddly soft, but the smell was fresh and vibrant. All the flowers and trees making it overpowering yet pleasant. And she could already hear the familiar buzz of insects and caws of birds off in the distance. "I want to see some of the animals here."

As if on cue a large red and blue bird swooped from the sky right in front of her. She jumped back a little but still managed to get a good look. It's feathers almost seemed to sparkle in the light, and it's large eye reflected her perfectly. She watched as it flapped it's wings and quickly soared away.

"I wish I had my camera," Lilo lamented. "That bird was so cool!"

"About that," Stitch said behind her. She turned and saw he was holding her camera bag, ready to go with a small backpack on as well. "Meega think we go for a walk? Yuuga take some pictures."

"I'd love to."

She couldn't believe how incredible this was. As much as she had been on adventures, she never really got to explore a completely different planet before. So many incredible plants, trees, animals, bugs. Stuff that once was only in her imagination. Her camera was going to be full pretty quickly.

And yet as much as she was drawn to this new world, her eyes would always steal glances towards Stitch. He thought of the most perfect break for her. Something she needed immensely. It gave her a brand new experience while getting her away and time to think about things. He couldn't possibly have done or been more perfect for her.

Which is why he shouldn't have been surprised when she gently pushed him against a deep purple tree. The time between them standing there talking, and her lips pressed against his was near instant. And the sudden rush of the cold bark and warmth of Lilo left him speechless. Exactly what she wanted as she continued her assault until he finally gave in and kissed her back with as much passion, if not more. Lost on a new planet where no one could disturb them. It was going to be a long day. Or evening? Lilo didn't know what time it was and she didn't care. All that mattered was Stitch in her hands and the fire in her blood. A fire that screamed to only burn more and more while she pressed into Stitch with as much strength as she could muster. Stitch could only feel the tree behind him slowly succumb to their pressure before it finally began to topple. He held onto Lilo tightly, gaining a small gasp from her while they fell to the jungle floor. And there they stayed for as long as they comfortably could.

Eventually the two had to separate. Much to both of their dismay. It was difficult to tell how much time had passed. And her breath was strained. The complete seclusion was too incredible. Not a single soul would find them. They were alone. Together. And could really do whatever they wanted. It wasn't going to be the last time they kissed there. Not by a long shot.

But eventually they had to head back home. It was just a night off from things. And as much needed and deserved as it was, it had to come to an end. They always have to come to an end.

Soon the beautiful view of Earth was back in their sights. She loved her planet, but a part of her already missed their little spot of heaven. The cruiser was pulled back down into the atmosphere and the radar was already picking up the cluster of islands that made up Hawai'i.

Beep Beep

The additional dots on the radar appeared quickly. Before either of them had a chance to react a voice came over the radio.

"Unidentified Spacecraft," the burly voice said. "Identify yourself or we will shoot you down."

"Keoni..." Victoria whined. "Stoooop."

"Make me," he teased.

Snooty and Jam wanted to spend some time together so Victoria and Keoni decided to meet up. It was starting to get late. The sun was setting low and the two experiments danced through the sky. Leaving the two on the ground with some alone time. Not entirely alone though.

"People are watching," she whispered.

Keoni glanced around. Sure there were a few people out. But the part of the beach they were sitting on was relatively secluded. Maybe the odd person would look their way.

"They're really not," he said, wrapping an arm around her.

He went in to kiss her again but she continued to squirm. She didn't really put up much of a fight. And it was hard when her heart would race the moment he got near. She could feel her face grow red and was glad that it wasn't super noticeable.

"I'm not in the mood."

"Really?"

He quickly kissed her neck, and he could feel her tense and shiver. She wanted to give in. But she just couldn't. Being stopped by an invisible force. Well. Not invisible. Just mental.

"Yes really." She grabbed his hand and held it hard. "I'm sorry."

"No, no," he said. He squeezed it back. "I thought you were just playing hard to get you know? I know you get embarrassed-" she sucked a deep breath in hard and fast "-but there isn't anything wrong with that. But somethings clearly bothering you." He paused for a bit, locking eyes with her. He could see the pain behind them. Worry beating out the usual tenderness he saw when she looked at him. "Seriously. What's up?"

She sighed and looked up at their experiments flying around without a care in the world. Completely free of stress and worry. Aside from the worry about their companions. She was jealous. Always feeling like things would get easier as she got older. Instead she found it was the opposite. The world lied to her. It felt like more and more things were becoming increasingly difficult and she had no real way to know how to deal with it.

"Just... life feels like a lot right now," she finally said. Not really too him. Just out in particular. "School, family, friends. Thinking about the future."

Keoni's face fell at that. He had his own worries about what was coming soon. Too soon.

"Our teachers keep telling us to plan for the future. Figure out what college we're going to apply to. I don't even really want to think about it," Victoria started going off, letting the words spill out. "Then you have Caitlynn, who I totally knew was bad news from the start, calling Lilo a... ugh." She felt Keoni's grip on her. She was glad he was there for the support. "And now Lilo isn't even talking to me. She probably has some new best friend. Off on some adventure in space or something."

"You really think she'd get a new best friend so quickly?"

"Yeah! She's incredible."

"You're incredible."

A giggled managed to make it passed her lips. "No you're incredible."

"We're incredible?"

"Fine," she said. "We're incredible." All she could do was roll her eyes. "Okay. Maybe Lilo hasn't found a new best friend. But this is the longest she's gone without talking to me."

"I'm sure she just needs time," he said while rubbing her back. "You'll talk again soon."

"But I don't feel like I have time. Everything is happening so fast." The sadness in her voice was overwhelming. "I really messed up. Should have told her sooner. And in like a year we could be going our seperate ways and never see each other again. What if it's too late."

"It's never too late," he whispered. He brought her hand up and kissed it. "Never."

"It's not too late," Jumba said before wiping sweat from his brow. "I can figure this out."

He stood, huddled over Rewind on a table, with Pleakley by his side. The room was pitch black with the exception of the light shining above his operating area. Everything was dead quiet, the only sound that of the baited breath from the evil genius. His hand nimbly worked around the dial, trying his best to not make a single wrong movement. For if he made a mistake, it could spell catastrophe.

"What's the big deal, Jumba?" Pleakley asked, his sudden outburst startling Jumba and forcing his hands to shake. "It's such a little thing. Just take it out."

"Am trying." Jumba clenched his teeth. "One wrong move and device will be exploding. Taking out all of island."

"The... entire island?" Pleakley nervously chuckled. "But it's... so small."

"Yes, yes." He carefully pulled his hands away. "Explosion would be catastrophic due to condensed size. Is perfect time machine. Requires enormous energy source. The core contains a near unstable crystal I was playing around with at time of creation. Worked wonderfully. With some side effects."

"And one of those side effects is huge explosions?"

"Exactly!" Jumba let out a bellowing laugh. "If anyone were to be trying to take it, would not end well for them no?"

He returned to his task, Pleakley handing him whatever tool he asked for. All the while trying his best to not get pulled into his thoughts. The last thing he needed was to be distracted by his guilt. His determination was keeping him going. Nothing was there to stop him. It wasn't too late. Not yet. Not as long as he still had a chance at fixing things.

"How is it a perfect time machine?" Pleakley once again pulling Jumba away from the surgery. "You made time gizmos before."

"Yes but..." Jumba looked over at Pleakley and then back down at Rewind. "Ugh. Is perfect because creates no anomalies." He saw there was about to be another question but continued explaining before there was a chance. "Time travel being tricky. Can cause alternate time lines, or even paradoxes. Messing with time can be, well, messy."

"So how does this get passed those anomoly things."

"Is quite simple. Device is constantly recording data of everything. When activated it pulls back all life to the moment being designated. Kind of like little reset button. Only those who are being connected to device have recollection of occurrence. Only they are an exception."

"All life?!" Pleakley gasped. "In all existence?! How?"

"Crystal."

There was a pause. Jumba could already tell the answer wasn't entirely sufficient. "No paradox is created because it does not create doubles of oneself. Since it is essentially pulling all of reality to a previous point. It leaves nothing behind, and takes with it what was there. Almost like everything after that point is erased and you can try again."

"Perfect time travel." Pleakley said, somewhat understanding.

"Exactly." Jumba laughed a bit at his own genius. "Has one flaw though. Unable to go back passed it's own creation. And as said, requires lots of energy. A part of why it drains experiment so much is due to this. Strains his body and life force."

"I just have one more question," Pleakley began as he looked back down at the experiment on the table. "What if someone accidentally set it to a time before they were born?"

"Worried about little earth girl doing something dangerous, eh?"

Pleakley couldn't help smile. He knew Lilo had grown up a lot over the years. Even if she had messed with time travel enough in the past, if it required it, she would do it again. And if Jumba's plan to pull out this perfect time machine was a success? It was a very dangerous machine to just have lying around.

"I do not know the answer," Jumba said. Much to Pleakley dismay. "Normally they would not exist until they are born. But if they are part of exception? Who knows? Could be interesting experiment to try later."

The answer didn't really do anything to make him feel better. If anything, he felt a lot worse. The odds of messing with this device and things turning out well were very slim. And to make matters worse?

Jumba cried out in frustration, a loud alarm blaring around them. Pleakley nearly jumped out of his skin, instantly asking what was going on. All Jumba could do was sigh. He looked down at his experiment, and the form faded away.

"Holographic simulation being failure," he stated. "Will be going back to drawing board."

"This is Space Cruiser number Six-L-O," Stitch said into their communications array. "Landing in Kokaua Town, Hawai'i with permission from United Galactic Federation and Governor. Relay code seven-four-nine-six-twenty."

Lilo watched in stunned silence. There was a few moments before the voice returned over the radio again.

"All clear," they said. "My apologies for the threat. Thank you and safe landing."

As the cruiser made it's way back to their island, Stitch adverted his eyes. He had hoped that they wouldn't have been caught like that. And wished he was a little more careful watching their surroundings. Eventually though someone had to say something. And as their town came into view it was Lilo who spoke up first.

"I thought you said we were being bad and sneaking out."

"Meega did..." Stitch paused before finally looking at her. She didn't look angry. If anything she looked extremely happy. The town lights lighting up her beautiful smile. "Made it more fun, ih?"

"Yeah." She leaned over and gave him a kiss on the cheek. "I'm glad you were good though."
