Athena was gathering blankets, baby toys and diapers, putting them all in neatly into her diaper bag, glancing at her infant son, Road Runner, as he slept peacefully on the couch, nestled over a wall of rolled up towels to prevent him from falling off. It had only been a couple of days since Road Runner was born and it had been a tremendous task taking care of the tiny bird.

In the middle of the night, Paul, his father, would wake, sleep deprived, to a crying Road Runner as he reached his tiny wings out to be picked up. Paul gently cradled his son, taking him over to the changing table, changed his diaper and then sat down, placing Road Runner on his chest, swaddled up in a blanket, rocking him back and forth. Road Runner baby blue orbs glanced upwards at his father, giving out a little yawn. Paul chuckled, patting his infant son gently, while continuing to rock him. "At least one of us is getting a decent amount of sleep," he whispered, gently rubbing the top of Road Runner's tiny plumage. Athena had woken up shortly, hearing the cries of her infant son, only to see a lovely vision of her husband and her son together, as Paul rocked Road Runner.

"Oh Honey. Did the baby wake you up?" Paul glanced up at his wife, a smile spread across his cheek. "It's okay. He needed a change and was a bit fussy." Athena looked at Road Runner and chuckled, noticing her infant son nibbling on Paul's white beater shirt. "It looks like our son is hungry also." Paul glanced down, feeling the nibbles, gracing his fingertips along Road Runner's cheek. "You want a early morning snack, hm?" Paul chuckled, gently lifting Road Runner from his chest and passing him to Athena, who cradled him, sitting down and opening her blouse. Paul stood up from the chair, stretching his back, smiling down upon seeing Athena nurse their infant son. "Honey, you should get some rest since you have to wake up early for work," Athena softly spoke, rubbing her son's tiny head plumage while he nursed. "Yeah, you're right. It's going to be a long day tomorrow. Would you like me to get you some water or coffee before I hit the hay again?" "Oh, that be delightful, honey. Thank you."

Paul nodded, giving her a wink in which she blushed slightly, heading towards the kitchen. He quickly put some water in a kettle, warming it up as he prepared her cup of coffee, using only two scoops of grinded beans. The steam from the kettle billowed up, along with a sharp whistling sound. Paul turned off the oven and poured the hot water from the kettle into the cup, seeing the coffee bubble up. He stirred the contents with a spoon, pouring in a bit of cream and sugar. He placed the kettle on top of the stove and carefully carried the hot coffee into the baby's bedroom, placing the cup down on a small tablet next to Athena.

"Thank you, honey. I really appreciate it," Athena whispered, placing Road Runner on her shoulder and gently patting his back, causing him to burp. "I'll see you in the morning, love." Paul leaned down, placing a kiss on top of Road Runner's head. "Take care of your mom, son. Have a good night." With that, Paul gave a sweet kiss to Athena before heading back to their bedroom, plopping on the bed and getting some sleep.

Athena glanced at her son, smiling brightly at how much he looked like her husband. Paul had already left when she woke up, heading to the mechanic shop in the downtown area. She was thankful that she prepared his lunch for him while he worked. Athena grabbed a thin garment and started to wrap it around her body, making a carrying cradle for her infant son. She gently picked up her sleeping infant, placing him securely inside the carrying cradle. Athena carefully pulled out a large stroller, making sure that it wasn't hitting her son. She opened the door, with two hands carried the stroller down the stairs, placing it at the bottom of the steps. She opened the stroller fully, placing the brakes on so that it wouldn't roll down the street. Athena quickly checked on her son, seeing that he was still sleep with a small snore. She gently stroked his tiny feather plumage, holding him against her chest, walking back upstairs. She grabbed the diaper bag and a straw-like picnic basket, along with an enlarged sheet to be placed on the ground. She doubled checked to see if she had forgotten anything then proceeded to close the door to their home, putting away the keys in her diaper bag, heading down the stairs and placing the two items on the floor. She carefully scooped up her infant son from the carrying cradle and laying him down in the stroller, swaddling him in place, placing soft head pillow around him. She placed a blanket on top of the stroller, putting away the diaper bag and picnic basket.

"Well, little man. It's time to meet your new playmate," Athena chirped happily, pushing the stroller as she walked towards the street.

Inside the Coyote's residence, Cage was holding Wile, placed on his lap, cooing and tickling his infant son, who kept on laughing. Melissa was gathering supplies and getting the diaper bag and basket ready for the picnic in the park. She glanced back at her husband and her son, with Cage's finger caught into Wile. "Oh, OH. Are you trying to munch on my finger," Cage chuckled, watching as Wile nibbled at the finger, trying his best to growl but a tiny yip came out of his mouth? "Heh, that's my boy," Cage shook his finger a bit, trying to pretend to wiggle out of Wile's grasp. Melissa had her hands on her hips, shaking her head. "Now don't' be rough with our son. He was just born a couple of days ago." Cage glanced back, smiling at his wife. "Don't worry, babe. I'm just playing with him and I'm not being rough. He and I are having a good time bonding with each other. Aren't we, little man?"

Wile looked upwards, his big brown eyes focusing on Cage, tilting his head to the side. Cage gave a sweet kiss on top of Wile's head, in which Wile yipped happily, nibbling on Cage's thumb. Melissa walked over, picking up Wile and cradling him into his arms. "You must be hungry, little one." Melissa sat down on the couch, opening her blouse and started to nurse Wile.

Cage got up from his seat, straightening out his shirt and getting his lunch box. "I wish I can stay all day with him but work calls and it's going to be a busy day in city hall." Cage leaned down and gently touched Wile's fur on top of his forehead. "That wily hair of his. He is too adorable." "He's got your looks, honey," Melissa smiled, as she continued to nurse him. "He has got your eyes, sweetie." Cage gave a sweet kiss to Melissa and to his infant son, Wile. "I'll see you later. You take good care of your mother, little man." Cage started to head towards the door, glancing back once again. "By the way, what park are you taking him to?" "Oh, I'm taking him to Union Park. It's a nice grassy area downtown. He'll love it." "Okay babe. If I happen to get off early, I'll meet you at the park. I want to spend more time with my son." Melissa smiled at the notion. "That would be good, Cage. Wile can't wait to see you there." "I can't wait either. Goodbye, love." Cage blew her a kiss and headed out the door. Melissa patted her son as he nurses when she had a realization. "Oh No. Athena is going to be there. Oh, I completely forgot about that. However, it depends if he gets off early. It can get busy on Mondays. We'll see." Wile had finished his meal with Melissa putting him on his shoulder, burping him. "I can't wait for you to meet your new little friend, Wile. I'm sure the two of you will be best friends in no time." Melissa started to finish getting ready to head over to the park.

Inside a bike mechanic shop in the downtown area, Paul was working up a sweat, crouched down and working on a pair of broken pistons in the bike, his hands along with his shirt and shoulder had a good amount of grease and oil. He removed the broken parts and checked to see if any other function of the motorbike had been damaged due to the bike malfunctioning lately. "This was a pretty bad case. I had to build the engine from the ground up since there was oil leakage due to the faulty piston rings." Paul rose and took a towel, wiping off the grease from his hands. He walked over to the customer who owned the motorcycle. "Sir, your pistons rings were severely damaged to the point I had to rebuild the engine from the ground up. So, you have new piston rings plus the addition of new gas tank, brakes, cylinders and many other parts. So, basically, you have a newly repaired bike." "Hey man. Thank you so much," the biker exclaimed, excited that his bike was fixed. "The front desk has you're itinerary on the bike that was worked on and the charges that had incurred. "The biker nodded, heading to the front office.

Paul grabbed himself a cup of water from the water dispensary, gulping down the content. A larger roadrunner, dressed in a business attire with a tie, silk shirt and pants to match, approached Paul. "That was wonderful, Paul. That customer looked so happy." "It was a tough built I had to do. Plus, I bet we're going to hear the screams once he sees the itinerary any minute now." Just on cue, the biker screamed as he saw the cost of the repairs. "You got to be kidding me. All this money just to repair the pistons," He exclaimed in shock. Paul walked up to the customer, looking at him straight in the eyes. "Perhaps you weren't listening when I said that I had to rebuild the engine from the ground up. That itinerary details the cost of each part that I used to rebuild your bike and includes the cost of labor. Seeing the shape of the pistons rings, you did not keep the bike maintained and thus this is the result of it. If you weren't so passive about your bike, you wouldn't have to pay much for the repairs."

The biker growled a little but knew that Paul was right about his bike. He hadn't maintained it properly and despite many telling him to cut his loses and buy himself a brand-new bike, he decided to have it repaired. "Fine. I guess I'll have to pay for your work. Where can I pay for it?" "Bring your paperwork to the cashier and she will take your payment," Paul walked away before stopping a bit. "And next time, keep your bike maintained if you don't want a dent in your wallet." The customer huffed, heading towards the cashier. Paul fished out in his back pocket a pack of his cigarettes, heading to the back door outside and a few yards away from the mechanic shop. He placed a cigarette on his beak, lighting it up and inhaled, closing his eyes as a soft breeze blew by. "Ah, what a day," he blew out smoke, stretching his back. The large roadrunner with a suit on headed to Paul, as he leaned back and inhaled a few smokes. "There you are. I was looking for you." "I'm just taking a break. I'll be back to take in more orders," he placed the cig back in his beak. "I know you will. You're one of my best mechanics in town and have quite the reputation. Also, I know you recently have a newborn son, am I correct?"

Paul glanced at him, his arms across his chest, using one of his feet to propel himself up from the fence, giving him a nod. "How about you take a longer lunch break? So that way you can see your son. You need to bond with your infant son and I'm sure you want to see him."

Paul glanced to the side, watching a tumbleweed glide by the street, his mind reeling back at his infant son smiling at him with those tiny, blue eyes. Paul couldn't help but spread a smile at the memory, glancing back at his boss. "I wouldn't mind seeing my son during my lunch time. My wife and son will both be at Union Park, spending time together. I'll take you up on that offer. As soon as I finish some orders, I'll take an early lunch to spend time with my family."

"That's great. I'll make sure to have a mechanic cover for your orders, if one comes in during your lunch break." Paul nodded, watching his boss return to the shop. He held his cig in his fingers, a smile spreading across his beak. He was going to have some time to bond with his son and Wife. Paul placed the cigarette on the ground, crushing it to a pulp and started to walk back inside the mechanic shop.

Athena had arrived at Union Park. It was massive place filled with lush, green grass, some trees, a playground for the kids and a sand box. It also had restroom facilities, which she was thankful for. Union Park was filled with families, some having little ones while others were pushing their children on the swings. The uniqueness of Union Park is where both Roadrunner and Coyotes can use the park together without any conflict, since fighting was prohibited in the park. She pushed her stroller down the walkway, looking for the perfect spot to set up her picnic. She saw a lone tree in a grassy area that wasn't occupied, in which it gave a nice shade. She pushed the stroller to that location, stopping in front of the tree. "This is the perfect place," she whispered, smiling. She heard a chirp coming from the stroller. She pulled back the blanket and saw that her infant son, Road Runner, had woken up from his sleep, looking at her with bright blue eyes. "My, my Roadie. You slept for a long time. Did you have some good dreams?" Road Runner giggled, waving his tiny wings towards Athena. Athena picked him up from the stroller, carrying him gently with one hand, while taking the red picnic blanket and spreading it down on the grassy ground, smoothing out the wrinkles and using nearby rocks to keep the blanket from blowing away. She places the picnic basket in the middle, putting an array of heavy-duty paper plates with utensils, including some food she had prepared in advance. Athena looked around, seeing many roadrunner families along with coyote families. However, her smile lessened in seeing that both groups were segregated within their own kind spread apart from the other families.

"Oh, Roadie," Athena bounced her infant son gently, glancing around once again. "I wish that roadrunners and coyotes could be united. Hopefully one day, when you grow up, things will change for the better and both our groups will be united." Road Runner chirped happily at being bounced, flapping his tiny wings in excitement. Athena smiled, giving a small peck on top of Road Runner's head.

"Athena!" She lifted her head to see who was calling her name and to her excitement, it was her best friend, Melissa. Melissa waved, pushing her stroller towards Athena's picnic area. Athena rose, holding her infant son closely, as Road Runner looked curiously at Melissa, giving a small chirp. Melissa quicky gave Athena a hug and then glanced at Road Runner. "So, this is your little man. He is adorable, Athena." "Thank you, Melissa. He is a sweetie and already has Paul wrapped around his finger." "Haha, no doubt. Cage is the same with our son, Wile. He can't stop gushing about him." "Can I see your son, Melissa?" "Of course!"

Melissa pulled back the blanket that was covering the stroller, revealing her infant son, Wile e Coyote, curled and sleeping peacefully. "Ahh, he's so adorable, Melissa." "I hope that our sons will become best friends like we are." "Oh, that would be wonderful, Melissa. Would you like to hold my son?" "I would be delighted." Athena carefully handed over her son to Melissa, who gently held him, cradling him close and smiling. "Hello there, little roadrunner. Aren't you adorable?" Road Runner looked up at Melissa, his small beak spreading into a big smile for her with a chirp. "He is so sweet. He's not afraid of me." "This is the first time he's seeing a coyote. There is no reason for him to be afraid." "Very true, Athena." Melissa passed Road Runner back to Athena, who cradled him gently, rubbing the tiny plumage on top of his head. Melissa gently picked up Wile and cradled him in her arms, slightly swaying back and forth. "I was a little worried today. My husband, Cage, wanted to come over to Union Park to be with me and Wile later today after work. But there is so much work at city hall, I'm not sure he will be able to make it. Though, the reason I worried is that I forgot I was meeting you here today with your son."

"Oh my. That would have been quite the ordeal. But it depends if he makes it out of work early today." Melissa nodded, gently rubbing Wile's tiny ears. "Yes, it depends on that. We shouldn't worry about that though. My husband always has a lot of work in City Hall." "Sounds like my husband. He's such a hardworking man. He gets a lot of orders in his shop. He is a bike mechanic and one of the best ones in town. During this time of year, his services are high in demand. However, if he were to come over here to Union Park and see us together with are sons mingling, he would have a fit." Both Melissa and Athena sighed, shaking their heads. They looked upon their infant sons, smiling warmly upon them. "No matter what vices our husbands have, we couldn't live without them." "I agree, Melissa. Oh, before I forget, I brought some food for the picnic." Melissa held up a picnic basket, grinning. "What a coincidence, I did the same." Athena giggled, gesturing Melissa to follow her to the picnic spread. "Let us feast then and see how our sons interact with each other." "Sounds like a plan," Melissa followed Athena, carrying the picnic basket in one hand while gently cradling Wile in the other, as Wile slowly started to wake up.

"Looks who's waking up. My little coyote." Wile gave a little yawn, his brown eyes looking up at his mother. "Did you have a good nap, my little one?" Wile gave a tiny yip in responds, squirming around. Melissa smiled, placing the picnic basket in the middle of the towel, sitting down along with Athena, who placed her infant son in front of her. Melissa placed Wile in front of her, opening her picnic basket and pulling out two cold bottles of soda, giving one to Athena. "This should cool us off a bit." "Thank you, Melissa." Athena took the bottle, getting her bottle opener and took off the cap, taking a sip of the soda. She glanced at Wile, smiling as he wagged his tiny tail. "Your son is too adorable. Do you mind if I held him?" "Of course. Go ahead, Athena." Melissa gently handed Wile over to Athena, in which she gently cradled him, smiling at the tiny coyote. "Hello there, handsome." Wile looked up at Athena, tilting his head a bit. A smile spread across his cheeks as his yipped in happiness, wagging his tail. Athena gently rubbed the top of Wile's head, having him giggle with a tickle of his neck. "He's so precious, Melissa. He likes me." "Oh, I'm so glad that he does, Athena." Both Athena and Melissa looked up, overhearing chattering going on between both coyotes and roadrunners, focusing on them both. "We got an audience, Athena." "It's alright. We always have an audience. They just can't believe a coyote and roadrunner can be best friends. It's always the same thing every time we get together." "Well, I hope our boys can become best friends and break this cycle." "Hey, why don't we have them next to each other and see what happens," Melissa suggested, with Athena nodding in agreement. "That sounds like a great idea."

Athena gently placed Wile down on the soft cushion, with Melissa holding his back for balance. Athena picked up her son, Road Runner and placed him next to Wile e. coyote, supporting his back with her hands. The two infants looked at each other, with Road Runner chirping. Road Runner used his tiny wings to touch Wile e coyote a bit, with Wile e coyote yipping in happiness, using his tiny hands to touch Road Runner in return. The two-woman squealed in delight, seeing their infant sons interacting with the other happily. "Oh, this is amazing. Look at our sons. They are definitely going to be best friends."

Cage had a long line at the city clerk's office. The city had just issued a new ordinance in that everyone that had possession of a bicycle must register their bicycle into the city system, hence, an easier way to track bicycles in case their were lost or stolen. The exemption to the rule would be any children under the age of 16 or those with modified bicycles that acted as a motorcycle, which needed to be registered with a license or permit. Cage was busy taking in the appropriate forms, having verify the information including each registered number of bicycles and having them pay a small fee for the registration. "Couldn't they have released that ordinance later during the year?" Cage wiped the brow off his forehead, continuing to service customer that came in. Soon the clock turned into 4:30 in the afternoon, in which the last customer had left, with the office closing for the night. Cage was wrapping up some loose ends, putting all the paperwork that had to be filed into his proper receptacles, shutting down his computer for the night and turning off the lights. He quickly grabbed his lunchbox and headed to the employee's exit, loosening up his tie. "I'll just need to stop by the house to change then I can go to the park." Cage hopped into his car, driving off to his residence.

Paul was finishing up on a bike order, the last one for the daytime. He had grease and oil everywhere on his body, his shirt having streaks of oil stains. He was supposed to get off earlier during his lunch break to be with his family, but there was a heavy flow of bikers wanting their bikes fixed and he ended up taking his lunch at the shop. "I was able to change your oil, refill your tires with air and fix some loose ends in your bike that was disconnected from the brakes. Your bike should be running smoothly from now." Paul took a towel, wiping his hands. "You're the best man. Thank you," The customer was elated, seeing his bike cleaned up and fixed. "You're welcome. Just head over to the cashier and she will process your payment." "Thanks again, dude." The customer headed towards the cashier in which Paul threw the towel into a dirty hamper, gathering his keys, clocking out and heading outside to where his bike was parked. He didn't want to waste time since he was looking forward spending time with his wife and infant son. "Damn, I'll need to clean up. I can't go to the park like this. Luckily our place isn't that far." With that, Paul revived up his bike and headed toward his apartment complex to get himself changed and ready.

Athena was basking in the cool breeze, cradling her son as she nursed him, with Melissa changing Wile's diaper into a fresh clean one. She tossed the dirty diaper into a trash can, holding him close. "Athena, I'll be back. I'm going to show Wile around the park." "Okay, Melissa. We'll be here." Melissa headed to the playground, holding Wile and showing him around the area. Athena had finished nursing Road Runner, gently putting him on her shoulder and patting his back, hearing his tiny chirps as he burped. Her attention drew towards the revived engine of a motorbike, seeing her husband park at the motorcycle section of the parking lot. Athena was happy to see him, but at the same time, she was worried about her best friend, Melissa, since she is a coyote, and he wasn't fond of coyotes at all. Paul got out of his bike, placing the keys inside his pocket, putting his pack of cigarettes inside his inner pocket. He walked into the park, wearing a light blue shirt which was opened, revealing a white wife beater underneath along with blue jeans and black boots. He soon spotted Athena, sitting down on the picnic blanket, wiping away some milk from Road Runner's tiny beak. He couldn't help but smile seeing the two loves of his life, enjoying a nice day together bonding. Paul quickly walked up to Athena, crouching down to her level.

"Excuse me, Miss. Is this seat taken?"

"Oh, Paul. I'm glad you could come." Paul sat down next to Athena, giving her a sweet kiss on her cheek. "I wouldn't miss this for the world," he lamented, picking up his son. "And how is my little man? Have you been good to your mother?" Road Runner glanced upwards, chirping excitedly and gave Paul a tiny lick on his beak. Athena giggled, watching the interaction between her son and her husband. "You've been here for a couple of hours, haven't you?" "Oh yes, honey. Me and Roadie have been bonding and he likes the park. It's pretty peaceful." "Babe, must you call him Roadie? He has a strong name and besides, Roadie is too feminine. You are going to grow up to be a handsome strong roadrunner, aren't you little man?" Paul bounced Road Runner gently, in which he chirped and swished his tail feather back and forth. Paul chuckled, giving a sweet kiss to Road Runner on top of his tiny head. Athena shook her head, just happy the two men in her life were close by her. She glanced to the side, seeing Melissa still at the playground area, knowing it will be difficult for her to come back since Paul has now arrived. Paul fidgeted a bit, looking around. "Babe, do you know where the restroom is? I should have gone when I stopped by the house to clean myself up." "Oh, It's just down that pathway to the right, by a rock formation wall." "Thanks Babe. I'm going head over there. Here, take our son. I'll be back in a few minutes." Paul passed Road Runner to Athena as he stood up, walking the pathway towards the restroom.

Athena watched as her husband quickly walked towards the restroom. At the same time, Melissa came back with her infant son, Wile. "Did I just hear your husband?" "Yes. He just arrived. He's in the bathroom right now." "I guess I better move from this spot. I don't want to cause any problems and Paul has the right to be with you and Road Runner." Athena was saddened but she knew it was the best course of action, in order to avoid a conflict, knowing her husband's dislike of coyotes. "I think its for the best. There is an empty space across from this spot, so you don't have to go too far." Melissa looked at the spot, which had a tree that provided shade to the area along with a soft patch of grass. "That's perfect! I'll start moving my stroller over to that area." Athena held Road Runner closely, glancing at the restroom. "Melissa, I'm going to head to the restroom, and I'll take Roadie with me. Do you mind just keeping an eye on my belongings?" "Of course, Athena. Go ahead." Melissa gave Road Runner a smile, bouncing her infant son up and down. "You take care of your mom, Roadie." Road Runner gave a delighted chirp, with Wile yipping in response, the two infants waving to each other. The two young mothers giggled in delight, happy to see their infant sons interacting with the other. Athena headed to the restroom, taking Road Runner with her.

Melissa grabbed her stroller, keeping a close eye on Athena's belongings as she moved it across to an open area. She soon heard a car entering the parking lot, taking a glance to her left. Cage was parking his car into an open spot, a few yards away from the entrance of the park. He grabbed his keys along with his jacket, locking his car and heading towards the park. Cage noticed Melissa pushing the stroller in one hand and holding his infant son in another hand. "Ah, there they are. Honey, I'm here!" Cage ran towards them, having his brown flannel shirt on with dark blue jeans and brown boots. Melissa waved to him, chuckling as he almost stumbled over a small rock in his excitement. Cage quickly ran up to Melissa, placing his arms around her and hugging her, giving Melissa a sweet kiss on the cheek. "Sorry I'm late, honey. The office was really busy today." Melissa giggled, giving Cage a kiss in return. "Don't worry about it. Me and Wile are having a good time bonding and looking around the park." Wile looked up at Cage, yipping excitedly and wagging his tail. Cage smiled and picked up Wile, holding him close. "How is my little coyote? Have you been behaving for your mother?" Wile gave a short yip, rubbing his eyes a bit, a smile spreading on his muzzle. "That's my boy," Cage nuzzles Wile's cheek, rubbing his ears gently. He looked around and saw a waterfall, a small one, in the farther end of the park's pathway. "Oh wow, this park is really pretty. I got to take a picture of that rock. We should take a family picture over there." Melissa was a little concerned due to their stroller being out on the open and watching over Athena's stroller and belonging, which thankfully her husband hadn't noticed yet. "Leave the stroller out in the open? I have Wile's clothing, diapers and other things. I don't want them to go missing." "Don't worry, Melissa. It should be alright. It'll be a quick picture and we'll be back at our spot in no time." Melissa sighed, shaking her head and smiling at her husband. "Okay, Cage. I trust you. But, if our stuff does get taken, you'll be on the couch tonight." Cage sighed, slumping his shoulders. "Ah come on. Nothing will happen. You'll see. Let's take a family photo." Cage placed his arm around Melissa as the three of them headed to the boulder.

Paul walked out of the restroom, feeling relieved shaking off remnant of water from his hands. He walked back to the picnic area, looking around as he noticed that Melissa and his infant son, Road Runner were not there. "Hm, I wonder where they could have gone?" Paul didn't have to wait long as Athena was walking back from using the restroom, cradling her infant son, Road Runner in her arms. "We're back, honey. I had to use the restroom too. Our son kept me company." Road Runner chirped, looking up at his parents. Paul gently rubbed Road Runner's head, with Road Runner leaning against his hand. "That's my little man," Paul looked around, seeing a designated smoker's area with a bench nearby. "Being here with my two loves has relaxed me. It was a busy day in the bike shop," Paul looked at the smoker's area once again, sighing a bit, "Still, if you don't mind, babe. I need to have a smoke." Athena sighed a bit, looking at her husband with pity. Smoking was a vice that wasn't going to go away easily, but she had one day hoped her husband can quit the habit soon for their newborn son, Road Runner. "Okay, Honey. I know you've had a hard day. Just, don't take too long. Your son wants some bonding time with you too." Road Runner chirped, wiggling his wings to affirm his mother's statement. "Okay, okay! You two won me over. I won't take long," Paul leaned down, giving Athena a kiss on her beak, placing a small kiss on Road Runner's head. "You two are dangerous combo against me." Athena gave Paul a wink, rapidly sticking out her tongue in playfulness. Road Runner watched his mother, sticking out his tiny little tongue in like manner, to imitate her. Paul chuckled, scratching Road Runner's chin and headed towards the smoker's designated area. Athena shook her head, going to her stroller and getting out a fresh diaper along with her changing mat, laying Road Runner down in the center of the stroller, changing him.

Cage had Melissa stand at the middle of the area, where the background was cascaded in hues of bright orange and reds, due to the sun setting. He saw a young male coyote with his friends, taking pictures. "Excuse me, Young man." The young coyote looked over, gesturing to himself in which Cage nodded. "Yes, I called you. Do you mind taking a photo of me and my family?" "Uh, sure." Cage handed the camera to the young coyote, running back to Melissa and putting an arm around her, with Wile being held by both parents' arms in the middle. The young coyote prepped the camera, calling out the family to smile. He quickly snapped a picture, taking another shot just in case the first one didn't turn out right. He handed the camera back to Cage. "Here you go, sir." "Thank you, young man." The young coyote smiled back, running back to his friends who were heading towards a trail. Melissa felt a little dampness in Wile, knowing it was time to change him. "Honey, you go ahead and take pictures of the area. I need to change Wile." "Okay, Babe. I'll be right over once I'm done here." Melissa gave him a peck on the check, cradling Wile gently. "Okay, young man. Let's get you freshen up." She walked back towards her stroller while Cage was taking pictures in the surrounding areas.

Two wolves rose from a cliff, overlooking the park, watching Melissa and Athena as they tended to their young infant sons. They also observed Paul leaning against the bench, smoking his cigarette. The other wolf glanced at Cage taking pictures nearby the rock formations. "There isn't much out there, tonight." The other wolf looked down again, seeing that Athena and Melissa placed their infant sons on the grass as they prepared a meal for their husbands. "Well, those two little ones will make a great morsel. It's quick and easy to get." Both wolves nodded at each other and started to descend from the cliff.

Both Melissa and Athena were busy preparing a meal for their husband, knowing they will be hungry when they return. Road Runner sat on the grass, glancing across and seeing Wile E Coyote sitting on the grass. Road Runner chirped a bit, wiggling his small wings at Wile e coyote. Wile glanced at Road Runner, giggling and yipping in excitement, wiggling his small hands at Road Runner, the two of them giggling at each other. The two infants felt a stiff breeze blow their way as they were scooped up rapidly by the two wolves. The two wolves held them at their hands, the two small ones frightened by the wolves. "Heh, that was easy." One of the wolves licked his muzzle hungrily. Both infants trembled, holding to one another. Just as one of the wolves was about to open their mouths to them, the infants cried out loudly, grabbing the attention of Melissa and Athena. "Wile e?" "Roadie?!" Both women noticed that the wolves had taken them, in which the screamed in fright, running quickly towards the wolves. Paul heard the loud screaming, noticing it came from his wife. He quickly put out his cigarette and ran as quickly as he could back into the park. Cage stopped taking pictures as soon as he heard his wife scream, placing his camera away in his bag and running back to the picnic area. Athena grabbed one of the wolves' arms, tugging it as much as she could while trying to reach her infant son. "Let go of my child," she yelled out, in which the wolf grabbed her and threw her down on the ground, laughing. "You'll be next, sweetheart." Athena stood up, in tears. Paul ran up to her quickly. "What happened honey? Where's our son?" "Paul, he's got our son. He's wants to eat him."

Paul glanced at the wolf, narrowing his eyes. He quickly ran toward the wolf that had his son. The wolf looked down at Road Runner, who was trembling and chirping in fright. "Dinner time," he exclaimed, about to bite down when he felt a strong punch into his stomach, following by another punch straight at his face, causing him to fall backwards, tossing up Road Runner in the air. Paul quicky caught Road Runner, holding him gently. "It's okay, son. Daddy is here." Road Runner looked up at Paul, chirping happily, swishing his tail. Paul looked over Road Runner to see if he had any injuries but determined that he was okay. He proceeded to quickly head towards his wife, Athena. "Don't worry. Our son is fine. He wasn't hurt." "Oh, thank goodness." Athena gently held Road Runner closely, kissing his forehead. Paul glanced back at the wolf, who rose from the ground. Paul cracked his knuckles, pushing Athena towards the picnic area. "Go back to picnic area. I have some business to take care of." "But honey...," Athena lamented but Paul shook his head, anger having built up already. "I'll be fine. Go, now!" Athena nodded, holding Road Runner tightly and running back to the picnic area. The wolf looked around, seeing that his meal had escaped, growling at Paul. "Grr, you just cost me my meal." "Oh, don't worry. It's going to get a lot worse for you," Paul narrowed his eyes, getting into a fighter stance.

Melissa quickly ran up to the wolf, jumping up and climbing on his back, trying to pull him back and reach for her child. The wolf grabbed her by the neck and tossed her down on the ground, causing her to slam on her side. "You got some guts lady. Perhaps after I eat my meal, I'll let you have the privilege of breeding some pups for me." Melissa growled and rose, wiping away a tear. "I won't let you harm my son." The wolf chuckled, knowing he had an advantage over her in strength. "How adorable. I'll tell you what. I'll let you hit me." He leaned down, holding Wile in one hand and having his face in front of Melissa. "Go ahead, sweetheart. Hit me." The only fist he was met with was Cage, who punched him with full force, sending him tumbling backwards into the ground, tossing up Wile who was quickly caught by Cage. "Honey, thank goodness you're here." Cage quickly had a look over at Wile, who wasn't harmed and yipped happily, glad to see his dad. "Our son is alright. There seems to be no injuries. He was just frightened." Cage passed Wile to Melissa, who held him closely, kissing his forehead. "My little man. You are okay now. Daddy is here." Cage watched as the wolf rose, growling in anger at Cage. "Go back to the picnic area, honey. I need to take care of him." "Cage...," Melissa was about to protest but Cage looked at her in seriousness, nodding her to go back to the picnic area. "Don't worry about me. Just go back there." He took off his camera back, tossing it to Melissa, which she caught it with her free hand. Melissa nodded, holding Wile tightly, running back to the picnic area. "You bastard," the wolf barked out at Cage, in which he rolled up his sleeves, cracking his knuckles. "You are going to pay for that." "Well see," Cage smirked, getting into a fighter's stance.

Wolf hunched forward and sprinted towards Paul, baring his claws, preparing to swipe his left hand at him. Paul dodged the blow, countering with one strong kick to his chin, pushing him back. Paul ran up to him delt him a left hook punch to his face, with the wolf teetering back, growling even more. "Lucky shot," the wolf seethed, cracking his knuckles. "Luck has nothing to do with it. I'm no ordinary Roadrunner." Wolf lunged at him again, this time thrusting his right fist at Paul. Paul dodges the punch and several other ones. However, He failed to see the wolf kick into his stomach, which caused Paul to stumble back, feeling pain on how hard the wolf kicked him. The wolf proceeds to follow up with a few blows to his face, grabbing Paul's head and slamming him down on the pavement hard. "Hehe Pathetic bird. You really thing you can out strength me? Ha-ha! "The wolf leaned down, adding more pressure to the head, with Paul seething, feeling the pain but his rage having been ignited more. "After I kill you, I'll pump your girl full of my seed, perhaps keep her as my own chick to have whenever I feel the need to release." Paul used his strength to lift his head up, grabbing the wolfs hand and slowly crushing it with his strength, the wolf howling in tremendous pain. With that, Paul used the opening to send an upper cut kick to the wolf's chest, causing him to tumble away from him. Paul stood up, rubbing his head and panting, his orbs narrowing in rage to the wolf. "YOU…WILL...NEVER...EVER...TOUCH MY WIFE!" Before the wolf could react, Paul slammed a hard punch square on his nose, the wolf hitting his head hard on the floor.

Paul was seething, clenching his fist tightly. "Get your ass up, you piece of shit!" Wolf rubbed his head, growling more and rose, once more running, his fists ready to land a blow. The blow never came as Paul, out of rage, send out powerful punches, one after another to the wolf face, chest, stomach, neck and other places he could reach, having the wolf back upped against a rock wall. The Wolf winced in pain, thinking how a roadrunner could be beating him when he was 3 times stronger than an average roadrunner. "Like I said before, I'm not an ordinary roadrunner. I have the strength of 5 coyotes and believe me, I have fought five of them before. Your outcome will be no different." The wolf sneered, landing a punch on Paul's stomach and then punching his face again. Paul seethed, spitting out some blood and sending a response punch to the wolf's face, followed by a powerful kick to his groin, slamming his foot hard on it, with the wolf screaming in extreme pain, kneeling over. It was a dirty move, but Paul was up to his limit with the wolf. "You won't be 'breeding' anytime soon. Just to make sure," Paul rammed his foot several times into the wolf's groin, shouts of pain echoing from the wolf, with tears dropping, then stopping his kicks and grabbing the wolf by the neck, holding him up in eye level. "If I ever see you around this park again, I will personally kill you myself. You will never touch my son or my wife again. DO YOU HEAR ME?! NEVER!" With that, Paul slammed the wolf's head against the rock wall, causing him to pass out. Paul panted, wiping away blood from his beak, his body aching in pain. He turned around and walked back slowly towards the picnic area.

The wolf growled at Cage and immediately ran to him, swiping his paws at Cage. Cage did his best to dodge the blows, feeling some punches landing on his cheeks. He was backed up against a rock wall, with the wolf grinning in malice. "Now your dead," the wolf seethed and thrusted his fist towards Cage. Cage quickly moved to the side, causing the wolf to slam his hand against the wall, painfully yelping and growling more angrily at Cage. Cage looked down and felt a small boulder nearby him. He kept an eye on the wolf while using the back part of his foot to lift the small boulder, kicking it backwards and catching it with his hand behind his back. The wolf rushed towards Cage once more, but Cage was prepared. Just as he was about to strike Cage clear on his face, Cage lifted the small boulder in front of his face, having the wolf smash it to pieces, causing his hand to hurt once again. The wolf stepped backwards, holding his hand.

"Very clever, Coyote." Cage smiled, posing himself for anything. He was aware how much stronger the wolf was compared to his strength. Thus, why he's adopting a simple philosophy: why out strength them if you can outwit them. The wolf rushed towards him again, with Cage, at the last second, dodged him but this time he landed a hard kick to the back of the Wolf, sending him flying towards the sandy dune, going headfirst into it. "Now you're getting all dusty in there," he chortled, with the Wolf raising up and wiping away some sand in his eyes, seething. "I'm going to kill you." He grabbed a large boulder and raised it above his head, grinning to himself. "LET SEE IF YOU CAN DODGE THIS!" With all his might, the Wolf threw the boulder towards Cage. "DAMMIT," Cage knew he couldn't dodge the toss, so he thrusted out both arms and locked his knees in place, catching the boulder, holding it above his head, rather shakily. With a grunt, he tossed the boulder to the side, his arms and hands exhausted from holding the heavy rock. "So, you got some strength in you, coyote," the wolf snarled, with Cage panting. He wasn't used to hold heavy objects twice his size as the boulder. It has temporarily knocked the wind out of him, so to speak.

The wolf sprinted towards Cage, landing a punch in his stomach, followed by another on in his face, causing Cage to fall on his back. The wolf chortled with a grin, raising his foot up. "Goodbye," he spat about to slam his foot down on Cage. Cage quickly rose his own foot and thrusted it hard on the exposed wolf's groin, causing immense pain on the wolf, as he fell on the floor, clutching it. Cage rose, wiping off some blood from his muzzle, panting. "Didn't expect that, did you?" The wolf snarled at Cage, slowly getting up in which Cage narrowed his eyes upon him. The wolf swung his fist at Cage, but Cage dodged the move, catching his fist and following it with a strong kick to his stomach, then lifting the wolf up into the air a bit and slamming him down, stepping on his groin hard, the wolf yelling in pain. "This is a warning for you. If you ever threaten my family again, I'll do more than harm you and your manhood. Don't EVER come back to this park again." Cage punched the wolf, causing him to black out. Cage panted, wiping away the sweat from his forehead, clutching his side as the wolf had managed to hurt him in that direction. He slowly walked back towards the picnic area.

Athena was bouncing Road Runner gently, seeing Melissa heading back to her direction. "Your husband stayed behind to fight too?!" Melissa nodded, sighing, patting her infant son, Wile e Coyote. "Yes, he said he had to take care of business." Athena nodded in agreement, "My husband said the same thing. Both of our men are stubborn." Melissa and Athena sighed, looking at their infant sons, who cooed and giggled looking at each other. "Well, at least our little ones are enjoying each other company," Melissa smiled happily as Wile yipped in excitement. "Let's place them down in the grass so they can play together for a bit," Athena carefully placed Road Runner on a small patch of grass with Melissa following in suit, placing Wile e Coyote right next to him. Road Runner wiggled his wings and chirped happily, touching Wile e coyote's fur. Wile e Coyote yipped happily, grasping Road Runner's tiny wings, the two of them touching each other faces and giggling, bonding with one another.

"Ahhhh, aren't they precious," the two mothers exclaimed, watching the two babies play with each other.

Paul slowly was approaching the picnic area, his head throbbing and feeling bruises form in places where he had been hit, his body aching all over. He tilted his head up, seeing Athena and Melissa together, focusing on his infant son Road Runner, playing with the infant coyote. His eyes widen at the sight and anger started to boil inside of him.

"WHAT IS MY SON DOING WITH THAT SMALL LITTLE MUTT?"

Athena gasped, turning around quickly and seeing Paul, who's eyes were bloodshot red with rage boiling. "Oh no!" Athena looked down a bit, turning her attention to Road Runner, seeing how happy he was with his small playmate. "Get our son away from that mutt, Athena!"

"Who are you calling a mutt, you asshole?"

Paul growled as Cage walked up, snarling at him as he grew incensed at him calling his infant son a Mutt. "Melissa, Get our son away from that pathetic roadrunner!"

"MY SON IS NOT PATHETIC, YOU BASTARD!"

"I JUST CLOBBERED A WOLF AND I CAN DO THE SAME TO YOU, YOU ASSHAT!"

"TRY ME! I TOOK ON A WOLF AND I HAVE NO PROBLEM BEATING THE SHIT OUT OF A MANGY MUTT LIKE YOURSELF!"

Two men growled at each other, ready to start a fight with one another. Athena picked up Road Runner, carrying him with Melissa doing the same. "Stop it, Paul! There is no need to fight!" "Stay out of this, Athena!" Athena was taken aback by Paul's retort, knowing this situation would happen, one she wanted to avoid in the first place. "Cage, there is no need to escalate things." "Back off, Melissa. I won't allow some thin crusted bird to insult our son!" "I'll show you how "thin crusted" I can be." Both men were about to punch the other when some cops came up in the scene, a fox getting between the two men.

"Alright, break it up! The both of you knock it off, now!" Paul and Cage backed off, still growling at the other. The fox looked between them and seeing Melissa and Athena holding their infant sons. "We got a call that there was a fight going on between two gentlemen and two wolves. I don't know if you both were involved or not, but I suggest that you both go your separate ways and head home. You both have infant sons and the last thing those kids need is to see their fathers hauled off to jail just because they couldn't control their tempers. So, leave this place, NOW!" Cage kept his gaze on Paul, standing upright and huffed. "Fine! He's not worth my time anyways. Let's go home, Melissa!" Melissa turned to Athena, about to say a word to her but Cage cut her off. "Don't talk to her! Just get the stroller and let's go." Melissa sighed, waving goodbye and grabbed the stroller, pushing it towards the car, holding Wile in her arm. Cage gathered the rest of their belonging, giving a piercing glance at Athena, heading off towards his car. Paul walked over to Athena; his eyes fixed on her with anger. "We're going home, Athena." "What about our stroller…," Paul raised his hand up, cutting her off mid-sentence. "I'll pick it up later. For now, we need to take our son home." Paul walked to his bike, taking out his keys and revving it up. Athena glanced around, gathering her diaper bag, bouncing Road Runner a bit, looking around. '

"ATHENA, NOW!" Paul yelled out, trying to hold back his anger as must as he could but felt it slipping. Athena jolted a bit, walking towards the bike, glancing back at the officer. "Thank you, sir." Athena approached the bike, about to hop on the back. "Give me Road Runner." Athena looked at Paul, who had partially zipped up his jacket. She handed her infant son to him, in which Paul placed Road Runner inside his jacket, zipping it up but making sure there was air flowing inside the jacket. Athena climbed on the bike, wrapping her arms around Paul's waist, being careful not to press into her infant son. Paul took off from the parking lot, heading back to their apartment. Cage placed his infant son in the car seat, making sure it was properly secured while Melissa folded the stroller and packed it in the trunk of the car, closing it. Melissa got into the back seat of the car, closing the door. Cage started up the car, heading out of the parking lot and towards their home.

Athena entered her apartment, holding Road Runner gently, who yawned and cradled into her arms, closing his small eyes. Paul closed the door behind them, unzipping his jacket and tossing it on the couch. Athena quickly turned her gaze away from Paul, walking forward only to be stopped by a hand grabbing her arm. "Paul, Please I." "I spent the night, fighting off a wolf who tried to kill my son and wanted to violate you in every way, beating the shit out of him to defend my family. What do I come back to? My son, in near proximity …WITH A COYOTE?!" Athena grimaced at his booming voice, closing her eyes, a tear dropping. Paul let go of Athena's arm, gently scooping up Road Runner and carrying him to his crib. He gently laid down his infant son in the crib, swaddling him up in a blanket and putting a plush toy nearby him. Athena sniffled a bit, wiping away her tear. Paul gave Road Runner a kiss on his forehead, walking back to the living room, with Athena placing the diaper bag down on the couch. "Athena, our son is never going to see that coyote again. I don't want him mingling with those mutts, is that understood?!" Athena couldn't give a respond back, looking down and not daring to look at Paul's face. "ATHENA!" Paul yelled out to her, breathing heavily. Athena mustered the courage to look at Paul, a sullen expression on her face as she nodded in agreement. Paul walked toward Athena, wrapping his arms around her and holding her close. "Our son will grow to be a strong roadrunner and he'll make plenty of friends along the way. There is no need for him to mingle with mutts like them." Athena was about to say something, but Paul gently clasped her beak shut. "That is final!" Paul gently scooped up Athena and carried her towards their bedroom, laying her down on the bed. Paul's anger clouded the pain of the injuries he had all over his body, but he would feel them in the morning. Paul laid down next to her, wrapping his arm around her. "Let us rest, love." He closed his eyes, nuzzling into her. Athena sighed, wrapping her arms around him. She loved her family, her husband and infant child. They meant the world to her. Paul can be frightening or intimidating at times, but she knew she was safe with him for he would never go beyond the threshold of hurting her and her son. Paul's hate towards Coyotes were vicious and it was a part of him she would have to deal with. She closed her eyes and allowed sleep to sink in.

Melissa walked into their home, dropping the diaper bag on the side, cradling her infant son, who was sleeping soundly. She glanced at the doorway, seeing Cage bring in the stroller inside, slamming the door hard with his foot, growling a bit. He was muttering to himself, taking off his flannel shirt, having a wife beater shirt underneath it. Melissa headed toward the nursery, gently placing Wile into the crib, gently swaddling him, putting a plush toy next to him. "You had quite the adventure today, my little man," she whispered, gently stroking his small ears. Wile gave a small yip, followed by a yawn, snoring softly. "Sweet dreams, little man." Melissa kissed his forehead, walking out of the nursery. "What a day," she sighed, looking up and seeing Cage lock eyes with her, his hands trembling, he felt his anger still boiling over what he saw. "I just wanted a wholesome family day today. Just the three of us bonding and having a good time." Melissa was about to utter something, but a sharp glance at her stopped her from saying anything. "That was ruined when that wolf came in and threatened you and my son. Thankfully I was able to take care of him. For my efforts, what did I return to? My own son playing…WITH A ROADRUNNER?!" "Cage, Wile was in no danger with his playmate." "I DON'T CARE! MY SON HAS NO BUSINESS BEING WITH A ROADRUNNER!" Melissa jolted a bit, his booming voice causing her ears to ring a bit. Cage walked towards Melissa as she stepped back. He grabbed her wrist, pulling her towards him. "Our son will be a strong coyote and he will make many friends in his lifetime. He doesn't need a pile of feathers to bring him down and I WON' T LET THAT HAPPEN!" Melissa tried to pull away from his grip, but he kept the pressure on her hand, leaning down close to her. "I don't want our son mingling with that roadrunner ever again, is that clear?" Melissa eyes glossed, unable to say a word in response, closing her eyes a bit. Cage pulled her closer until their nose pressed against the other, with Cage narrowing his eyes. "DO. . ?!" Melissa reluctantly nodded in agreement, with Cage letting go of her hand. He walked into the nursery, checking on Wile as he slept. He leaned down and gave a sweet kiss on his forehead, placing a thin blanket over him. "Sleep well, my son. You will grow to be a strong coyote."

Melissa took off her shoes, heading towards the bedroom she shared with her husband, Cage. She felt a strong-arm wrap around her waist, pulling her toward Cage's torso. He turned her around to face him, grasping her chin. "I mean it, Melissa. I've worked to damn hard to have everything thrown away, especially by some inferior Roadrunner. I won't tolerate it." "I understand, Cage," Melissa solemnly replied. Cage took a deep breath, giving a kiss on Melissa's forehead, before taking her hand and leading her to their bed. His body would be feeling those pain from that fight earlier in the evening, but for now, he wanted to rest. He gently laid Melissa on the bed, with him laying next to her, wrapping an arm around her waist. "Good night, babe," he yawned, cuddling her with a nuzzle, drifting off to sleep. Melissa blushed a bit. Melissa loved her husband, despite his many faults, one having a bad temper. He did what he could for his family, protecting them and loving them. In Melissa's eyes, he was a real man that she would go to the ends of the earth for even if it meant putting up with his vicious prejudice against Roadrunner's. Her husband Cage and her son Wile were the two most important men in her life. She slowly wrapped her arms around her husband, nuzzling underneath his chin and closed her eyes, drifting off into sleep.
