Cranked this out in a week. A little longer then the last.

It had been a few days since the trio returned to mans world. Diana had a week before she had to actually return to her League duties. Arizona had been busy with filing out the endless amounts of paper work that Bruce sent over for her 'retirement'.

Which left Epione on her own. She was slowly beginning to think that nothing had changed at all. But one afternoon, her mother asked if Epione and herself would be interested in a little shopping excursion.

With eyes wide, Epione hopped off her bed and grabbed her mother's hand. "YES!" Diana laughed at how animated her daughter became.

The two had gone from store to store. Both giggling like school girls as they tried on several outfits that they would never wear out in public. They also did some quick back to school shopping on the side.

"Honey, that looks beautiful on you," Diana exclaimed. Epione just came out of the change room wearing a spring like dress. It flowed as she moved around.

"You think so?" Epione said shyly. Diana smiled brightly as she nodded.

"I do. The colour is perfect on you. You should get it for when we have some vacation time on the island," Diana suggested. The mention of going back to the island made the girl smile brightly.

"Really?"

"Yes…well not right now. But maybe for the holidays. Would you like that?"

Instead of answering, Epione threw herself at her mother. Diana laughed as she held tight to her teenage daughter.

"I'll take that as a yes."

"YES PLEASE!" Epione shouted. Diana threw her head back and laughed.

The pair made their purchases then headed for the food court. They ordered and as they waited, Epione noticed a small crowed starting to gather around them.

Diana noticed too but she chose to ignore them. She didn't want anything to take away from their time together. Epione sensed this and leaned close to her mother as she whispered.

"It's alright. I'll wait for the food."

Diana shook her head.

"Sweetie, this is our time together. They can wait," she said as she rested her arm on her daughter's shoulders.

"Mom, it's ok. I can wait," the teen said softly. Diana remained quiet as she really looked at her daughter. Her brow wrinkled in thought.

"If you're sure," Diana said gingerly. Epione nodded. "Alright. But only for a few minuets." She waited for her daughter to nodded once more before giving Epione's shoulder a loving squeeze then turning to the crowed with a smile.

Epione watched as her mother smiled, posed for pictures and signed autographs.

"Here you go," the young boy said as he slid a tray of food towards Epione.

She turned and smiled at him, "thanks."

He watched for a moment before turning his gaze towards Epione.

"That must suck," he said quietly. Epione looked back and glanced at the name tag and shrugged.

"Some times. Thanks Todd." The young boy blushed as he mumbled and turned back to his work. Epione giggled and picked up the tray. She heard her mother thank the small crowed.

"Thank you. I have to be going now. It was so nice to meet you all!" Diana turned with a smile and a tired sigh.

"Thank you for saving me," she said with a smirk. She quickly kissed Epione on the head before taking the tray from her.

The pair found a seat and prepared to dig into their meal. They ate quietly for a few moments before Epione spoke.

"Do you ever get tired of that?" Epione asked softly.

Diana looked up from her lunch, surprised at the question. She chewed silently, taking her time. She wiped her mouth with a napkin then took a drink of her water before replying.

"Well," she started slowly, "it can get tiring at times." Diana paused for a moment. She studied her daughter carefully. "I truly love what I do, but the times that are taken away from you are the moments I wish I could just be your mother and nothing else."

Epione absorbed her words. It had been the first time that they ever really spoken about this. It was the first time that the teen voiced any sort of opinion about what Diana did. At least, it was the first time she's made it known to anyone.

Diana watched Epione for a moment. She studied her daughter and how, for the first time, noticed how much she has matured over the years. Large part was because Epione was left on her own in the tower while her parents were off saving the world.

And in that moment, Diana felt sadness for the times she and Arizona missed out on their daughter's life.

Reaching out and placing a comforting hand on top of Epione's, Diana gave a loving squeeze before speaking.

"May I ask where this coming from?" She asked softly. Epione stared at her mother's hand over hers. She's kept her feelings about what her parents did bottled up for so long.

Epione chewed her bottom lip. She gathered her thoughts before speaking.

"I always resented it. What you and mama did," she said quietly. She lowered her head, ashamed she would feel that way. After all her parents were superhero's.

"Oh…honey. Why didn't you tell us?" Diana asked just as softly. When Epione didn't look up, Diana reached over the table and gently lifted her chin.

People often wondered what weakness Wonder Woman had. There was none. But Diana had only one. And it was her daughter's tears. Epione's eyes were filed to the brim, as the teenager fought them back.

Quickly, Diana stood and slid into the seat next to Epione. She wrapped her arms around her and held her close.

"Oh Epione…I am so sorry. Forgive us," Diana whispered softly. She held her daughter tight, as if protecting her from on lookers that walked by. She could feel her tears starting to form.

Epione shook her head as she wiped her tears. She leaned back far enough to look up at her mother. Diana loosened her hold but didn't let go. She waited for her daughter to speak.

"I knew what you do is important. I know that. But sometimes it was lonely in the tower. The other kids…they were ok but they had superpowers and I didn't. I felt like I was the weird one…like I didn't belong.

"I don't actually resent what you guys do. I mean, I just wish…I wish…," Epione struggled to put into words what she wanted to tell her mother.

For her part, Diana waited patiently. She knew this was difficult for Epione and wanted to give the teen as much space, time…whatever she needed.

Diana lifted a hand to brush Epione's hair from her eyes as she waited. Epione sighed in frustration. She took a deep breath and exhaled on a sigh.

"I just wished that you and mama gave me a little time with you. After your missions, you both seemed to want to distance yourselves from each other. And from me," Epione stated quietly.

Diana felt the pit of her stomach fall into an empty void. She had no idea their daughter felt as if they didn't want to spend time with her. Well, both Arizona and herself needed time to decompress and in the process made their daughter feel unwanted.

"Epione…I am so sorry we made you feel that way," Diana stated sadly. She wrapped her arms around Epione once again and held her tight. Diana felt relief when she felt her daughter squeeze her back.

Both pulling back, they wiped their tears.

"It's ok mother. Really. I know that you and mama are important to the League, it was just hard finding someone to talk to that understood. But spending time together on the island helped."

Diana nodded, still unable to speak. She grabbed some napkins and handed one to Epione, who dabbed at her wet cheeks. Crumpling up the napkins and tossing them onto their trays, Diana turned to Epione again and took her hands in each of her own and gave them a gentle squeeze.

"Please, please, please, come talk to us when you are feeling that way. Promise?"

Epione smiled up at her mother.

"Yes mom. I promise." Diana smiled at her shortened name. She hadn't heard her daughter call her mom in a long time. She found she missed it.

"Starting next week, when I go back to the tower, I've asked that I not be sent out on missions that will keep me from being home," she paused a moment to shake her head when she saw Epione begin to protest. "It is a change that your mama and I have spoken about. I will be primarily training the others. If I am truly needed, then yes, I must go. But I will not be kept from my family for long periods. And besides, I have a far more important mission that I am proud to be apart of," Diana ended with a loving smile as she cupped her daughters face.

"Being your mother should have been my main priority. But I let my work come before you. I very much regret that decision."

Epione felt as if she would burst. She flung herself at her mother and threw her arms around her and squeezed.

"I love you mom," she whispered in her ear. Diana smiled brightly as she returned the hug.

"And I love you my beautiful girl," Diana whispered and kissed the top of her daughters head.

They pulled back again and looked at their cold food.

"I think we should go home. I believe mama has been wanting to fire up the grill," Diana said as she started to gather the trays.

"Or we can just order pizza," Epione suggested.

"I think that would be a safer option," Diana retorted. Both of them looked at each other before bursting into laughter. Both remembering the time mama attempted to bbq one summer that ended up in blackened burgers and steak.

The pair made their way out of the mall. Diana would have hailed a taxi but Epione placed a hand on her mother's arm, stopping her. Diana turned and waited.

"Can we fly?" Epione asked shyly. Diana smiled as she nodded.

"Of course." She maneuvered the bags onto her forearms as Epione waited patiently. Diana motioned for her daughter to come closer and lifted Epione into her arms.

"I'm not too heavy, mom?"

Diana smiled gently at her daughter as she shook her head.

"You are light as a feather my love." And with that Diana lowered herself slightly and gently pushed off of the ground.

When they were high enough, Diana went a little faster. The wind whipped around them and Epione loved it all.

Epione gave a delighted yell as they flew up, over and through the clouds. Diana laughed with her, feeling the joy of flying once again.

"Guys, I could've just cooked something," Arizona stated as she shoved another slice of pizza into her mouth.

Diana and Epione shared a look before bursting out in laughter. Arizona looked at both of them.

"What?"

Diana shook her head and leaned in to kiss her wife on the lips.

"Nothing my love," she said still grinning. Arizona wasn't convinced and looked over to Epione. She quickly wiped her mouth and shrugged. Arizona could see a large grin on her face as well.

"Fine! Don't tell me," Arizona said with a huff.

As they finished their dinner, the three of them spoke of their plans for the coming days. Diana and Epione showed off the spoils from their shopping adventure. This was the first time they had done this in a long time.

"You ready for school, kiddo?" Arizona asked. Epione shrugged.

"I haven't been to a 'normal' school in awhile, so I'm not sure what to expect. And it's high school," Epione said with a nervous sigh. Arizona wrapped an arm around her daughter's shoulders and gave them a comforting squeeze.

"Just be you, Bunny. I don't care if you are popular, or join every club. All I care about is you being ok. I don't care about anything else. Ok?"

Epione smiled as she snuggled into her mama's arms.

"Yes mama. It'll be weird, you guys being home everyday. But I think I'm gonna like it," Epione said with a grin.

Arizona looked over at Diana then back to Epione.

"Could I get that in writing?" She said to no one in particular. She dodged a flying shirt that Diana tossed at her head. They all laughed.

"What?!" They laughed playfully at each other.

"Hey Bunny, I'll see you later. Just be you, ok? That's an order!" Arizona called out as she watched Epione slide out of the car. The teen rolled her eyes but smiled anyways.

"Yes, mama." Epione leaned into the car and gave her mama a quick kiss on the cheek before slamming the car door. She waved goodbye as she walked towards the stone steps of her new school.

Arizona watched her for a moment. The urge to run out and drag her back into the car to protect her was strong. Her little Bunny was growing up before her eyes. Soon she'll be interested in boys or girls. That didn't bother her. It was the idea that someone else would take her place in her daughter's life is what scared her.

She then remembered Io. The bond between the two was unmistakable. She wasn't sure how to feel about that. Io was their friend. Epione adored Io.

The Blacksmith was notoriously known for her solitary life. But when Epione was born, their friend showered their daughter with love and affection. The change in Io was surprising to all that had known her.

Now Epione was a teenager. Slowly maturing. And their daughter seemed more attached to Io then years before. And the same could be said for Io. Arizona wasn't sure if she approved of this new development.

Diana had already mentioned that she was being too over protective. Arizona had to be. Their daughter was a dead ringing for Diana and the teen was only 14. She knew people would look at her in a certain way. No. She did not like that at all.

Shaking her head to clear those thoughts, Arizona started the car and drove off.

Holding her schedule in one hand, and a binder in the other, Epione navigated the crowded halls of her high school. She looked up at the room number and sighed with relief. She slipped inside hoping to not draw to much attention to herself. She was half way down the row of desks when the teacher called out her name.

Wincing, Epione turned around slowly. The teacher smiled brightly at her and motioned for her to join her at the front of the class.

"You must be Epione. Did I say that right?" The teacher asked gently. Epione nodded and mumbled in confirmation. The teacher placed a hand between the teen's shoulders and cleared her throat.

"Ok. Everyone eyes up here. Thank you. This is Epione. I would like for all of you," the teacher eyed her students then continued, "to help her out when needed. This is, I'm sure, a new experience for her. And I would greatly appreciate it if you took the time out of your busy day to introduce yourselves."

She then indicated to a seat for Epione to take. The student that was next to her left leaned over slightly to say hello.

"Hi, I'm Miranda," the girl whispered as she stuck her hand out. Epione looked up from grabbing her pencil case from her bag. She only then noticed the girl with the colourful hair.

"Epione," she replied returning the handshake. Miranda nodded.

"I think you're parents know my mom," Miranda informed her. Epione raised her eyebrows. But before the other girl could elaborate, the teacher called her out.

"Is there something you'd like to share Miranda?"

Cheeks turning red, the girl just sat upright and shook her head.

"No ma'am. I was just making my acquaintances," Miranda said with a smirk. The class chuckled.

"I meant after class," the teacher retorted with a smirk of her own. The class laughed. The teacher then returned to the lesson.

Miranda looked over at Epione and shrugged. She mouthed 'later' before giving her attention to the teacher.

Epione let out a nervous breath. This was going to be interesting…

"So what's your story?" Miranda asked as she guided Epione through the halls. She held Epione's hand so she wouldn't loose her.

"Um…my story?" Epione asked.

Miranda looked over her shoulder and smirked.

"Yeah. We don't get many super kids here. So what brings you here?"

The pair stopped in front of Miranda's locker. The girl shoved books and binders into the locker, only to grab another thick book and another binder.

"Oh…um…I just needed a change from the tower. And uh, super kids?" Epione looked at Miranda questioningly. The teen just glanced at her and smirked.

"Yeah. Its what we call the kids of superhero parents," Miranda replied but quickly added, "no offence."

"Oh…none taken." Epione was quiet for a moment. "Yeah…I guess you can say that. My mom…" she trailed off. She wasn't sure what to say.

Miranda was quick to pick up Epione's uneasiness.

"Yeah, you look a lot like her."

Epione winced.

"I get that a lot."

Miranda nodded. Then realizing they didn't have a lot of time, Miranda asked what Epione's next class was.

"English with Mrs. Kingsley."

Miranda smiled. "She's pretty cool. I'll take you. My class is in the other direction. Don't worry though, I gotta friend in that class. Come on," she stated as she grabbed Epione's hand once again.

As they weaved their way to the class, Epione was struck how at ease she felt with Miranda.

"Here you go!" Miranda poked her head in and waved over her friend. "This is Rio. Dude, this is Epione. She's new. We got first lunch so take her to the caf," Miranda ordered.

Miranda turned to Epione with a smile.

"His mom is an engineer at the tower. You're in good hands," she said as she patted Epione's shoulder as she started backing up.

"I'm sure she is," a voice behind her stated. All three students turned to stare at the new arrival.

"Mrs. Kingsley! I was just helping the new girl," Miranda said with a flourish.

"How thoughtful of you. But I think you may be running late for your own class," Mrs. Kingsley said with a smirk. Miranda's head whipped around to look at the school clock.

"Crap! I gotta go! Cafeteria after class. See ya!" And with that, Miranda took off running down the hall. Mrs. Kingsley shook her head with a smile. She turned and smiled gently at Epione.

"She's a bit of a tornado, that girl." She gently guided Epione and Rio back to class and got started.

"Told ya she was pretty cool," Miranda stated as she popped another French fry into her mouth.

Rio, who was the quiet one out of the three, nodded as he took a bite out of his sandwich.

"What does your parents do up in the tower Miranda?" Epione asked. She offered a piece of her sandwich to her new friends. They both declined.

"My mom is one of the switch operators and my dad is a doctor. When one is on rotation, the other stays home with me," the young girl replied. She was thoughtful for a moment before speaking again.

"Come to think of it, I don't think I remember the last time they were both in the same room," Miranda stated. She shrugged.

"Mine too," Rio said softly. He looked at Epione as he spoke, "My dad is one of the techs that repair all the helis, car's, bikes…anything that can get the supers where they need to go. He's the auto mechanic to the League. He's always busy, with the amount of damage those things take…we barely see him," he finished sadly.

Epione could only nod. She knew from experience how hard that was.

"My mama, she used to be the main pilot for the League. She used to do training missions and stuff. But she's…retired, I guess you can say. But my mom…she's still with them but on a limited capacity. Before summer…I barely saw them. They always argued," she said quietly.

Miranda stares at her for a moment. She reached out and placed a comforting hand over Epione's.

"I hope it all works out for them," Miranda gave a squeeze before removing her hand.

"Ok, enough depressing stuff. What classes do you have after lunch?" Miranda asked. Epione looked down at her schedule.

"Science, computer studies, history and math," Epione says with a shrug. Rio smiled at her.

"I have computer lab and history with you."

Miranda nodded as she tossed her lunch into the trash.

"I have science and math with you. We can meet up after school out by the front steps. You're mama's picking you up?" Miranda directed the question to Epione who nodded.

"We're all set then," Miranda stated as she got up and grabbed her bag.

"You've done this before, haven't you?" Epione said with a grin. Miranda blushed.

"Guess it comes with the territory, are parents being part of the League and all. Prepare for the worst, hope for the better, or whatever that saying is," Miranda replied.

"Yeah, I doubt that's how it goes," Epione sorted with a smirk.

"Shut up," Miranda mumbled and gave a playful shove to her new friend.

Rio laughed as he guided them back inside. He called out over his shoulder as he headed in the direction of the science class.

"See you later Miri!" He waved and then motioned for Epione to follow him. Epione said her goodbyes as she jogged to meet Rio.

"Mr. Petrov is a little boring. We'll sit in the back…in case you feel the need to nod off," Rio whispered. As he entered the class room, he waved at various students. He introduced Epione as they headed for their seats.

The boy sitting in front of them turned in his seat and leaned over slightly.

"Be prepared to die a very slow death," he whispered. The teacher began to speak. His monotone voice lulled half the class to sleep. Epione turned to Rio her hand covering her face and mouthed oh my god!

Rio snorted loudly before quickly coving it up with a cough.

"Your first day is done and over with. You seemed to survive without too much scarring…," Miranda stated as the three of them sat waiting for their respective rides.

"Do you have to be so dramatic?" Epione retorted. Miranda stuck her tongue out and tossed a cheese puff at her.

"I am a teenager. I'm supposed to be dramatic!"

Rio groaned and covered her face.

"Are you guys gonna do this all the time?"

Before any of them could reply, Arizona pulled up.

"That's my mama. Gotta go! Thanks guys for today," Epione said as she stood and gathered her belongings. Miranda stood and opened her arms.

"No problem newbie. See you tomorrow bright and early," the girl replied with a hug. Rio just waved and nodded.

Epione turned to go and was almost inside the car when Miranda called out.

"Wait! Gimmie your phone," she commanded as she held her hand out. Epione handed over her phone. Miranda typed away furiously and as she did so, Epione glanced over to Rio.

"Is she always this bossy?"

Rio smirked and nodded.

" Sorry, I should have warned you."

"Shut up guys! I was just putting our numbers in. Geez," Miranda replied as she handed the phone back. "Seriously, you guys are gonna miss me when I'm gone," the teen added.

"Maybe," Rio quipped as he slung his bag over his shoulder. Epione and Rio laughed as Miranda made a hand gesture. Just then a honk behind Arizona had everyone turning around.

"Gotta go! It's my mom!" Miranda squealed. She motioned for Rio to follow. Rio made his way over and waved goodbye.

"See ya Epione!"

After everyone said their goodbyes, Arizona pulled out and headed home.

"So…I like your new friends," Arizona said with a grin.

"Yeah…me too mama," Epione replied. As they drove home, the teen went over her day, describing her teachers and classes.

"Mrs. Kingsley is the coolest of them all," Epione finished as they pulled up to the house.

Arizona smiled at her daughter.

"I'm happy Bunny. I am so very happy for you," she said. She leaned over and kissed Epione's temple. "Fair warning, you're gonna have to repeat all this to you mother."

It took a moment for what her mama just said to register.

"Mom's home?"

Arizona nodded then winced as Epione squealed and took off running, leaving her alone in the car.

"I had a pretty good day. Thanks for asking," Ari mumbled to the empty car.

"Valdez? Yes, I know them. Roberto and Maria. They are lovely people," Diana stated as she helped clear the table.

"Robbie, eh? He is a magician when it comes to fixing up the heli," Arizona added. She liked the old man.

"Yeah…it sucks though. Rio says that he rarely sees them when they are both on rotation in the tower. He stays with Miranda when that happens…which is more often then not," Epione says sadly. She takes the dishes that she soaked and places them in the dishwasher.

"I know honey, it's not the most ideal situation for a lot of our support staff," Diana says neutrally. Epione slumped down in her seat next to her mother.

"Isn't there some way to hire more support staff? Rio says the last time he saw his parents was about 3 weeks ago. Miranda hasn't seen her dad in almost a month!"

Arizona could understand. She sympathized with them.

"Bunny, I know it's not easy. And finding the right people for the job, especially for the tower, is a little more tricky. But we are trying to find people to hire," Arizona informed Epione.

"I know mama. It's just hard to hear it sometimes."

Diana drew her daughter in and kissed the top of her head.

"Do you have any homework?" Diana asked. Epione nodded.

"Yeah. I should go and do that now," she said as she got up from the table.

"We're here if you need any help."

Epione nodded and took the stairs two at a time.

"She's right you know," Diana said quietly. She held her hand out and Arizona took it. They both made their way to the sofa and collapsed unto it. They snuggled close.

"I know. This new job that Bruce has me doing is tiring. Never realized how hard it was to hire someone for the tower."

Diana smiled softly at her wife. She leaned over and kissed her cheek.

"You'll do the best you can," Diana says as she rubs her knows against Arizona's.

Ari sighed and snuggled closer.

Epione sighed again and rested her chin on her hand. She finished her English and Math assignments fairly quickly and she was just finishing up her science homework.

She glanced down at her bracelet and smiled. She missed Io even though it had been only a couple weeks since they returned. She missed the island in general. It was always peaceful there even when a certain blacksmith would be so unbearably stubborn.

She was so lost in the memory that she jumped when her phone buzzed. Epione quickly picked it up and laughed.

There on her phone screen was a photo of her newest friends. Miranda's face barely visible, only the top of her head and eyes could be seen as Rio was in the background laughing.

Epione quickly sent a reply. Almost instantaneously she received a message back.

Oh yeah? Bet you're studying, Super-nerd!

Giggling, Epione sent a short retort back and quickly got back to her science homework.

This continued for several minuets until Epione heard a knock on the door.

"Hey, Bunny. Don't stay up to late, ok?" The teen nodded.

"Don't worry. Almost done," Epione informed. Just then her phone buzzed again.

"I'm gonna regret giving you that, aren't I?" Her mama asked with a smile.

Epione shook her head and blew a kiss to her mama.

"Love you mama."

"Love you too, Bunny."

Arizona shut the door softly. Epione looked down at her phone and quickly typed.

Do you mind? I plan on graduating :-P

Epione put her phone aside and continued with her assignment. Five minuets later, her phone buzzed once more.

It was a photo of Miranda flipping her the bird with the caption:

ASS!

Epione threw her head back and laughed. Putting her phone down one last time, she focused on the task in front of her.

Several days passed. Epione was getting more and more comfortable with her school and her friends. They hung out once at Miranda's house then the trio stayed at Epione's house. Diana and Arizona enjoying this time with their daughter.

"So…a full week finally over and done with. How you feeling?" Diana asked as she and Arizona cleared the table. Epione's new friends came by for a few hours. Miranda and Rio were picked up before dinner.

Epione smiled up at her mother.

"I feel good mom. I like it at that school. Which by the way, you can thank uncle Bruce when you see him," the teen said with a grin. Her parents shared a look before sheepishly nodding.

"Sorry Bunny. Your uncle thought it would be easier for you if you went there. 90 percent of the kids parents work in the tower," Arizona explained.

"I know mama. Miranda gave me the run down of everything," Epione replied. Arizona kissed the top of her head as she passed.

"So how was your week mom? Getting used to not being out in the field as much?"

Diana smiled brightly at the question. She came and took her seat next to her daughter as Arizona brought in dessert.

"I'm…getting used to it. I enjoy training the others. But I love being home when you get back from school even more," Diana smiled as she leaned over and kissed her Epione's cheek.

"Speaking of which…," Arizona trailed off. She looked at Diana, who sighed. Epione swiveled her head to look at each of her mama's.

"What's wrong?" The young girl asked cautiously.

"Nothing serious honey. I promise," Diana reached out to reassure her daughter.

"It's just…well, I've been contacted by the Secretary of State. They wanted to know if I would be willing to be reinstated as the Ambassador to Themyscira for the United States. I told them that I would think about it," Diana explained softly.

Epione's eyes widened like plates.

"WHAT! Oh. My. God! That is amazing mom!" Epione practically leaped out of her chair and into the strong arms of her mother. Laughing, Diana pulled back slightly.

"Hang on! I didn't give them an answer yet. I wanted to speak with you about it," Diana rushed. Epione let go of her mother and apologized as she sat back down.

"What is there to talk about?" The teen asked a little out of breath from all the excitement.

"Well for starters, we'd have to move out of this house," Arizona replied as she handed Epione a slice of cake.

Only then did it dawn on Epione what that would mean.

"But…but I just started school and my friends…" Epione trailed off as Arizona held a hand up for her to stop.

"I explained that to the secretary. I told them that I would not take the position if it meant removing you from your school," Diana said softly.

"Your mom gave them one hell of a counter offer," Arizona smirked at her wife.

Diana rolled her eyes at Arizona.

"I just told them that if they truly wanted me for the position, Epione would not leave that school. We can move to what ever house they provide, on the condition it is close enough to the school. Or the President can try and smooth things over with your grandma as to why they did not take my offer in the first place," Diana said with a sly grin.

Epione glanced at her mama who was covering her face with her coffee cup. She was clearly grinning.

"You wouldn't stick grandma on the president, would you?" When her mother did not respond, Epione's jaw dropped. "No way! You so would do it! That is epic mom!"

Diana and Arizona laughed at their daughter.

"Well, Bunny, you know your grandma. She would do anything for you and if she knew you were being taken out of school because the president didn't play nice, she would bring in the entire army. For you," Arizona said with a playful wink.

Epione sat back in shock. Then she realized something.

"Wait…we're having cake," she stated.

"Clearly," Diana replied as she finished her slice. She hummed in appreciation.

"But we don't have cake for any reason."

"That's right. Because you know your mother and cake," Arizona said with a grin.

Diana raised an eyebrow then quickly grabbed her wife's plate and slid it towards her.

"Hey!" Arizona cried.

"Maybe you should think again about teasing me," Diana said with a smirk and a wink. She forked in a large piece of cake into her mouth and groaned, her eyes rolling back.

"Guys!" Epione said with a little impatience. "Did you take the job? Did the president agree…wait, they must have since we are having cake," Epione said more to herself.

Both adults smiled as they watched their daughter figure it all out. Epione looked at both of them before squealing and jumping out of her seat.

Diana had to reach out and catch Epione before she fell. She laughed as her daughter tumbled into her arms and felt small arms wrap around her.

"Mom! I'm so proud of you!" The words warmed Diana's heart. As the settled down once more, Epione looked at her mother, concern written on her face.

"What about your job in the league?"

Diana smiled knowingly. She reached out for Arizona's hand and they both looked at their daughter.

Inhaling deeply, Diana smiled.

"Well, I've decided to resign from the league. I will no longer be called away on missions. Unless it is in dire need-"

"End of the world kind of thing," Arizona added quickly.

Diana just rolled her eyes before continuing.

"Yes, something like that. My mission now, is to be a bridge between our people and the world again. We may even see Grandmother and Grammy more often then before," Diana informed their daughter.

"Oh my God! Really?"

Both women nodded. They could both see that Epione was no longer interested in her cake.

"Why don't you go and call grandma. I'm sure she'll want to hear about your first week of school," Arizona suggested. Shooting up from her chair, Epione gave a quick kiss to her mom then her mama before running into her room.

Barry Allen and his group at Star Labs had created a special device for Epione so she could contact her grandparents whenever she wanted.

Arizona mentioned that it resembled the OG communications device from the original Star Trek. Diana had no idea what she had been talking about but Cisco and Barry appreciated it.

When Epione ran to her room, Diana eyed her piece of cake. Arizona saw the look and shook her head.

"That one is mine! You took my piece!" Diana just rolled her eyes. She took her fork and scooped up a large piece of cake. She fed it to Arizona who giggled uncontrollably.

"Fank you Ms. Ambassador," Arizona tried to say around a mouthful of cake in her mouth.

Diana laughed out loud and covered her face at the absurdity of her wife's antics. She leaned over the table end playfully rubbed her nose against Arizona's.

Both women giggled hysterically as icing smeared their nose and lips.
