Chapter 1- fate

Cordelia, the supreme witch and leader of the coven wondered around the halls of her school she owned, her home and her place of safety and belonging, Miss Robichaux's Academy for Exceptional Young Ladies was her pride and joy. She loved that she allowed young exceptional witches find themselves, she loved watching them grow and learn, she loved guiding them through mistakes, she loved that the academy had now grew bigger and better than ever and she really loved mothering and mentoring her children. Cordelia had no children of her own but she always knew that the girls in the school looked up to her as a motherly figure and this gave her a sense of love and appreciation. She knew that each girl was longing to spend time with her alone so that Cordelia could get to properly know them and this is something Cordelia was currently doing with her new girls. So far she had spent time with half the girls and they were all unique and extraordinary. One night Cordelia was due to spend quality time with a young witch, this witch was named Ella. Ella came from England which is pretty much unheard of here at the academy, this fascinated Cordelia and she wanted to know what made Ella join them in New Orleans. When Cordelia knocked on Ella's bedroom door she got an overwhelming sense of protection- this was a new feeling she had felt for any of the girls. She always knew she should protect all of her girls no matter what but this was on a more deep level, this was a motherly sensation. Again, Cordelia felt like a mother to all the girls, but something was different when she entered the presence of Ella, she felt like she was with her daughter. When Cordelia got her first look of Ella she was taken away by her beauty. She had long dark, straight glossy hair that reached the top of her bottom. She had dark, sparkly eyes and the most beautiful smile. The gut feeling of protection came back. Cordelia sat on the edge of Ella's bed, Cordelia smiled at Ella and offered her embrace which Ella gladly accepted. It was with this hug that Cordelia knew there was something about Ella, and that she needed a mom and that Cordelia needed her. Seeing her for the first time felt like the daughter she had always waited for. Ella sank into Cordelia's hug and didn't want to let go as she finally felt at home. Cordelia and Ella got into deep conversation about why she came to the academy. Cordelia soon learnt that Ella had never been in a family before as her parents abandoned her when she was a baby, leaving her on a doorstep where from there she was taken into foster care and spent her full 15 years going through over 60 homes and waiting to be adopted but never did. This broke Cordelia's heart- Ella had suffered so much abuse from these homes which is how she discovered her powers. Cordelia listened to every word Ella said intensely, Ella was crying as she was telling Cordelia her story and Ella explained just how happy she was she found the academy.
