It is a very beautiful summer afternoon in New York City. At the Rescue Rangers' treehouse from the Central Park, Chip is in the living room, sitting on the couch and reading a book. Standing on the couch next to him is a glass of water and every now and then, Chip takes a sip. Just then, Dale appears at the living room's doorway, spying on Chip. With a grin, he pulls out of one of his red and yellow Hawaiian shirt's pockets a pink rubber worm toy. Creeping up on Chip, he quietly puts the pink rubber worm toy in his glass of water. With that done, Dale then quietly goes back to the living room's doorway and remains there, spying on Chip and waiting to see the outcome of his prank. As if on cue, Chip picks up the glass of water, getting ready to take another sip. However, upon noticing the pink rubber worm toy in his glass of water...

"UGH!" Chip remarks.

Startled by the pink rubber worm toy, which he mistakes for a real worm, and with a look of disgust, he drops the glass and it falls to the wooden floor. It does not smash, but the water falls out, along with the pink rubber worm toy. Seeing that his prank has really worked, Dale laughs so hard, causing Chip to turn and finally notice him.

"Dale?" Chip asks, being really surprised.

"You really thought that was a real worm in your glass of water, huh? It was just a toy!" Dale manages to say between his laughs, before darting off.

Looking down at the pink rubber worm toy, Chip picks it up and checks it by slightly stretching it. Realizing a prank has indeed been played on him, Chip becomes furious and looks back at the doorway.

"You're going to regret for pulling off this stupid prank!" Chip yells.

One hour later, Dale is in the kitchen. On the table, there is a small plate with an onion that has a stick inserted. Dale dips a brush in red caramel sauce, painting the onion with it. Before long, the onion looks like a candy apple.

"Perfect!" Dale says with a smug.

A few minutes later, Gadget walks into her bedroom, being exhausted.

"Phew! All that work on the Ranger Wing has really made me feel tired. I think I'll lie down for half an hour." Gadget says.

She then notices the small plate with the fake candy apple, which she mistakes for a real candy apple, on her table and smiles. "Golly! Someone has brought me a candy apple. How nice." She picks it up by the stick and takes a bite out of it. However, when she realizes that the "candy apple" tastes like onion, her happy expression is replaced with a surprised expression. She lets out a scream, dropping the "candy apple" in the process, before quickly using her hands to fan her tongue to cool it off. "What is this?".

All of a sudden, she hears laughter and turns to see Dale standing in the bedroom's doorway and laughing so hard.

"What's the matter, Gadget? Was that candy apple too spicy for you?" Dale manages to ask between his laughs.

Upon learning that she has been pranked, Gadget becomes furious.

"Why you creep!" Gadget shrieks, picking up the "candy apple".

She throws it at Dale, but he quickly runs off and the "candy apple" only hits one of the walls next to the doorway, before falling to the floor.

Another hour later, Monterey Jack is walking to the broom closet.

"Blimey! Me room has plenty of dust. But no matter. Once I sweep it with the broom, it should be all nice and clean." Monterey Jack says.

But when he gets to the broom closet's door and opens it, he gets spluttered with orange paint on the face. He lets out a scream and stumbles backward, due to catching orange paint in his eyes. He then hears laughter. Wiping the orange paint off his eyes, he opens his eyes and turns around to see Dale standing with a few feet away from him and laughing so hard.

"Gosh, Monterey! You're looking orange around the gills!" Dale says.

Needless to say, Monterey Jack is not amused.

"That is not funny, Dale!" Monterey Jack replies, being annoyed.

"You're right! It is not funny! It is hilarious!" Dale yells, before laughing so hard again.

While still laughing, Dale turns around and walks away, while Monterey Jack shakes his head.

Another hour later, after enjoying his afternoon flight, Zipper decides to fly back to the treehouse. While heading to the entrance, his eyes are closed and he is humming a happy tune. However, he does not notice that there is a spider web in the doorway. By the time he opens his eyes, he notices the web too late and gets caught in it.

"Hey! What is this?" Zipper squeaks in surprise.

Out of the blue, a spider jumps down from a branch and lands on the porch with a few feet away from him.

"Ah! My meal has finally arrived!" the spider says in a deep voice and with an evil smile.

The spider then starts crawling towards the now terrified Zipper.

"Oh no! Help! Someone please help me!" Zipper frantically squeaks, while struggling to free himself, to no avail.

Once the spider is close enough to Zipper, it stops crawling, but continues staring at him. Zipper worriedly says his prayer and then closes his eyes, expecting the worst. But what happens next really surprises him. Hearing the spider laughing so hard, Zipper opens his eyes and looks at it. The spider then stands up and takes off its mask, and it is none other than... Dale!

"Dale?!" Zipper squeaks with a look of utter disbelief.

"That is correct, Zipper! Just me in a homemade spider costume! And that is no spider web! Just some sticky tape! I gotcha!" Dale exclaims in his regular voice, before taking off the homemade spider costume and laughing so hard again.

"I almost had a heart attack! Very funny!" Zipper squeaks, being really cross now.

While still laughing, Dale releases Zipper and then removes all of the sticky tape from the doorway. Dale then walks inside the treehouse with the sticky tape and the homemade spider costume, with Zipper watching him with an angry expression.

Half an hour later, Dale is in his and Chip's bedroom, being tired. He climbs up the top bunk bed and lies down on it, yawning and staring at the ceiling.

"Boy, working on all of those pranks sure was tiring. I'll take a little nap." Dale says, closing his eyes.

In just a few minutes, Dale falls asleep. But, unknown to him, Chip, Gadget, Monterey Jack and Zipper are spying on him from the bedroom's doorway. They are not very happy. The four Rescue Rangers smirk at each other and quietly walk away, or fly away in Zipper's case.

One hour later, Dale wakes up from his slumber. He climbs down the top bunk bed and goes in the living room to watch some TV. But when he arrives in the living room, he sees that his teammates are also there. Oddly, they look happy and Chip is holding a soccer ball.

"Hi, guys. What's up?" Dale asks.

"Dale, there is something we need to tell you." Chip says.

"Go ahead. I'm listening." Dale replies.

"We want to congratulate you for pulling those pranks on us. They sure were clever." Gadget says.

"We were upset at first, but we then realized that they were pretty funny." Monterey Jack replies.

"Your pranks deserve a 10 out of 10!" Zipper squeaks.

"Aw, thank you, everyone. You're too kind." Dale says, marvelling.

"And we thought we should celebrate by playing a game of soccer." Chip says.

"That sounds like a very good idea." Dale replies, agreeing.

"We're glad you think so." Gadget says.

"But first, I want you to hit the ball back to me, when I throw it to you. Use your head." Chip replies.

"OK! I'm ready!" Dale exclaims.

Chip throws the soccer ball to Dale, who hits it with his head. However, the minute he hits it, the soccer ball turns into cake and his entire head is covered with cake, with only his eyes, his red nose and his mouth remaining visible. Needless to say, Dale is surprised.

"Hey! What happened?" Dale asks.

Chip, Gadget, Monterey Jack and Zipper laugh so hard. Dale then licks the cake and finally realizes. Now he is cross.

"You all tricked me!" Dale yells.

"We sure did, mate!" Monterey Jack exclaims.

"How do you like that?" Gadget asks with a smug.

"Looks like the prankster has just got pranked!" Chip replies.

"And that was a priceless prank too!" Zipper squeaks.

And with that, Chip, Gadget, Monterey Jack and Zipper laugh so hard again. Dale groans, before looking at us, the readers, with a glare.

The End!
