"Start spreading the news

I'm leaving today

I want to be a part of it

New York, New York"

It was mid-winter in New York City. The cast of Veggietales, en route to Chicago for a Christian TV conference, decided to take a slight detour and spend at least two days checking out the sights of the city.

And boy, were there sights or what?

"These vagabond shoes

They are longing to stray

Right through the very heart of it

New York, New York"

Rockefeller center was swarming with millions of vegetables just skating all around. A small squirrel skitters across a telephone pole nearest Central Park, below it is loads and loads of traffic.

"I want to wake up in a city

That never sleeps

And find I'm king of the hill

Top of the heap

These small town blues

They are melting away

I'll make a brand new start of it

In old New York"

Bob, Larry, the kids, and the rest f the cast are all seated on a tour bus of NYC and are scheduled to get off momentarily. They're all dressed in warm clothing, since, well—IT'S FREEZING—but the kids don't care, they're too busy having a great time.

"If I can make it there

I'll make it anywhere

It's up to you

New York, New York"

"NEEW YORK NEW YOOOOOORK..." Libby sang along to the Frank Sinatra tune as they hopped through the large city.

"Why're you singing, sis?" Junior asked. "And where'd that music come from?"

"Beats me." Libby replied.

"Alright you guys," Bob smiled. "We're gonna do a full tour of the city, and our first stop, will be Chinatown."

"Alright!" Laura hollered "Dim sum time, y'all!"
