So, you know something? I love Erma, a really fun webcomic by Brandon Santiago. Now, Santiago has actually made some fanart of Erma meeting the Doom Slayer from DOOM and I figured I'd capitalize on that.

This is gonna be similar to an Erma fanfic made by my good friend LongNightDragon called The Hunter of Blairwood. Only, instead of Bloodborne, it's DOOM. Doomguy is gonna be OP as all hell because, well, he's Doomguy and we all know he's killed God and Satan several times over.

"Tell me...Have you nothing to say to your creator...Before you strike him down?"

A blade pierced the chest of The Creator, ending his long life and putting him out of his eternal misery, followed by a stoic voice that breathed with the eons of weariness from slaying evil's forces.

"No."

The Doom Slayer, a man who had long since forgotten his original name, suddenly felt weak as he fell to his knees. By killing The Creator, he had also destroyed the source of his power, however, he was fine with it. The demon scourge had finally been destroyed.

"By his hand, all things were made...Even you."

As his eyes drifted closed, he finally found something inside himself that he had not known for countless centuries...

Peace.

The sound of birds chirping and the warm Autumn air was what awoke The Slayer from his slumber. Feeling gravel and sand underneath him, he slowly moved to see he was in some kind of schoolyard.

Looking around, he saw no destroyed buildings, desecrated corpses, or demons prowling around. Everything looked peaceful, the sun was shining, there was no blood-red sky or a sense of hopelessness. It was almost like he had stepped into paradise.

Suddenly, a bell rang, and knowing he couldn't let anybody, least of all children, see him, ducked behind a nearby tree. He looked to see several kids leaving the school. One particular group of kids that caught his eye, two boys and four girls, seemed to be chattering about their day and what they like.

The two boys and two of the girls were normal-looking enough, but the girl with pale skin and long black hair over her eyes looked unusual. While keeping his fixation on the girls, Victor didn't notice or hear the other kids come near him while also talking about something else, a certain subject that would give him a case of deja vu and complete confusion.

"I'm telling ya!" Terry said almost excitingly to his friends. "Doom Eternal is an awesome game! And the new DLC just released!"

"I dunno...it's kind of scary what with murdering all those demons and all the blood and gore..." Connor timidly said. He wasn't much of a fan of Satanic stuff in media and the various demons were rather scary if he were being honest. His older sister had a copy of the game and seemed unusually obsessed with killing the demons in it, almost like she had a personal vendetta against them.

"We hang out with Erma almost every day and yet demons are what scares you the most?" said Amy almost teasingly while pointing to said the girl who was listening to Miko and Slyvia talk about the school day amongst other things. Erma seemed content to just listen to her friends talking while also nodding once in a while. They knew Erma could talk, but any talk she did do came out as barely audible whispers that they couldn't understand half the time unless they listened very closely.

At that statement, Connor stammered and blushed since he didn't expect Amy to say that to him. "Well, I'm just saying! Erma only scares people for fun or if they deserve it, she doesn't mean to actively harm people on purpose and understands if she has gone too far. The monsters in the game actually WANT to harm people!"

"Well whatever the case may be," Terry said with a grin as he inserted himself into the conversation and said again, "I still consider Doom Eternal to be an awesome game. Plus, the Doom Slayer is such an awesome character! He doesn't even need to speak to convey his actions! He just rips and tears through all those demons like used tissue paper!"

As Terry rambled about the Doom Slayer, he didn't even realize he was walking directly towards the person in question until he bumped into the tree he was hiding behind.

His friends rushed over to see if he was alright but laughed at him for not paying attention to where he was going. However, that was when Erma saw there was someone hiding behind the trees and that particular person bore a resemblance to the Doom Slayer that her friends were talking about so she tapped them on their shoulders to get their attention and pointed to what she saw behind the trees.

When Terry came through, he wondered what his friends were looking at as their faces ranged from shock, fear, and simple curiosity. He looked up and saw that behind the trees that he smacked into, behind them stood a tall, muscular, and intimidating-looking man wearing the armor of the Doom Slayer. What he noticed rather quickly was the blood-caked double-barrel shotgun with Chain Hook attachment magnetized to the man's back.

"OH MY GOD, THE DOOM SLAYER IS REAL!"

The Slayer was in trouble and not in the knee-deep in a swarm of demons kind of trouble. He didn't exactly know how to deal with children except for the ones he had seen from long ago, the one that his commanding officer had ordered him and his squad to fire upon.

The Slayer thought back to that memory. He openly defied his commanding officer's orders and then proceeded to beat him to a bloody pulp. The man pathetically begged for his life when just a few moments ago, he was going to have his squad shoot innocent people dead. That was the first real thrill The Slayer had felt, especially when he ripped out the man's testicles and shoved them down his throat before shoving his shotgun down his mouth and unloading every last round he had to make sure the bastard was dead.

Good times.

He was brought out of his musings when he felt a tug on his pant leg and looked down to see it was the pale girl with the long black hair over her eyes with a lone eye poking out from said hair. What unnerved him was that the sclera of the eye was black with the iris being white.

From the long time he had been alive, he could sense the strength of others. This girls' power was on a whole different level, something far beyond the forces of Hell and its armies. Despite this, he could also sense no ill intent in her soul, only purity, something that he thought long gone in the world he lived in.

Said girl looked at him curiously for a while, almost as if she was trying to figure out what he was before smiling sweetly and going over to her friends to whisper something to them. What she was whispering to them. The Slayer had no idea but could see that some of the girl's little friends were somewhat wary at whatever she was whispering to them before relaxing and sneaking a few glances at him. He could tell that the brunette kid with tanned skin known as Terry was excited about something while the auburn-haired kid with braces named Connor looked unsure, but resigned to whatever was said to him.

That was when the blonde girl with the ponytail walked up to him. "Look Mister Slayer, it looks like Erma finds you interesting enough that she wants to take you home with her. Not sure why, but I know enough not to argue with her when she sets her mind on something. So please be nice and don't freak out whenever she does something unusual. Also, my name's Amy and the others are Terry, Connor, Miko, and Slyvia."

As Amy said the names of the other kids, they all awkwardly waved to The Slayer, who just as awkwardly waved back. He was rather surprised that this child that he only just met was willing to take him home with her. However, after thinking things over in his head, he realized he technically didn't have anywhere else to go.

So, for once, he decided to let life drag him along and see where it took him instead of just charging forward running, and gunning like he used to do.

Sam Williams, the human father of Erma, was busy looking over some video games he had gotten for free from a bargain market. One of them just so happened to be an old copy of the original Doom on the Nintendo 64. While he was a talented and avid horror writer, he also enjoyed playing video games from time to time.

A knock on the door gained his attention as he put the game cartridge down and went to answer the door, opening it up to see his daughter Erma with a man who looked disturbingly like the Doomguy in his attire from the latest game, Doom Eternal. Either this person in front of him was a hardcore cosplayer...or he was the real deal.

Knowing how crazy his life has been ever since he met his wife Emiko, Sam could obviously guess this was the real Doomguy himself...or rather, the Doom Slayer as he was called in the game proper.

Erma's bright and cheerful smile told Sam all he needed to know as he made eye contact with The Slayer, who simply gave a nod of affirmation towards him.

"Honey! We might need to set another chair at the dinner table!"

I'd like to give a shout-out to my fellow DOOM guys (Heh, 'DOOM guys')
