"Pwetty..." 20 month old Oona exclaimed, looking out of the window. It's been snowing all night, and now the backyard is filled with snow.

"Looks like the North Pole, doesn't it, Oona?" Mr. Umiko said. He was looking out the window with his daughter.

"Oona wanna pway out," Oona told her father. "Pwease, Da Da?" she asked with puppy dog eyes.

"Why not?" the father said. "We can go outside after we eat breakfast."

So after breakfast, the purple-haired father put on his snow clothes and helped little Oona put on her own snow clothes. Oona was moving around with excitement, which made the father struggle a bit.

"There you go," he said, zipping up his daughter's coat. "Now you're ready to play in the snow."

The first thing little Oona did when they went outside was lying down on the snow and make snow angels.

"Aw, Oona. Your little snow angels are so cute!" the father exclaimed. Oona giggled as she sat up from the snow.

"Wets build snowy man," she then told her dad. "Can we, Da Da?"

"Sure we can, Oona," the father said with a smile.

So the two started to build a snowman. Mr. Umiko helped Oona roll the snow into two big snowballs. One for the body and one for the head. Next, they added sticks for the snowman's arms. The two then started to decorate him with sticks and stones. The father lifted little Oona up so she can make a face on the snowman. He was a happy snowman with a carrot for a nose. But Oona thought he was missing something.

"Snowy man cold," she said. So she took off her scarf and hat and placed it on the snowman.

"What are you two up to?" Oona's mother called out from the kitchen window.

"We make snowy man, Ma Ma!" Oona called back to her. "Come see!"

A few minutes later, Mrs. Umiko went outside and saw what her husband and daughter had created.

"Oh, this is so adorable!" she exclaimed. She then turned to her husband. "Get the camera, honey! This is going in the photo album!"

So Mr. Umiko went into the house and came back outside with a camera in his hands. He gave it to his wife, who then hold the camera towards their daughter and said, "Say 'Seaweed!'".

Oona stood next to the snowman with a smile and said "Seaweed!", and the photo was taken. She then swam over to her parents and gave them a great, big hug.

"Come on, sweetie," her father said picking her up. "Let's go back inside and warm up.

And the Umiko family did exactly that.
