Bold Climax

Chapter 1: Veinz

A mysterious world exists in a parallel dimension. In this world, warriors of various origins appear aligning with the moral forces of good and evil. The forces of good align with Cosmos, the embodiment of light. The forces of evil align with Chaos, the embodiment of destruction. Among the two forces, a man lies in between. He has shoulder length, spiky blonde hair. He was wearing a black vest armor with a dark gray pauldron on his left shoulder. He has blue-green eyes which had a faint glow. On his back, a large sword rests, easily dowering over him. His official name is Cloud Strife, a very fierce and determined warrior. In spite of his skill, Cloud was morally confused. Though he joined Chaos, his mind was confused. Unable to find answers, it left Cloud in a personal limbo, unable to pass from his alignment with Chaos. To make his decision more encumbering, a familiar figure floated near him. Cloud's face briefly contorted in seriousness upon laying his sight at the figure. He was wearing a large black coat with black pants and a shirt. He had military black boots, the same clothes Cloud wears for his legs. Both of his shoulders had silver pauldrons. In the man's left hand, a large katana was shown measuring over 8 feet in length. The male figure had long silver hair that flowed down his back with two strands framing his face.

"Sephiroth.." Cloud spoke with hidden venom. He wasn't expecting his nemesis to show up like this anyway. "Cloud.. You know of the consequences should you betray us." Sephiroth spoke. Sephiroth's voice was cold and calm. Cloud knew it was no idle threat. He means to kill Cloud if he betrays Chaos. "Hm.." Cloud grunted. Sephiroth wordlessly teleported, leaving Cloud alone. His thoughts soon came to project the one person he cares for. It was a woman with long brown hair that flowed down her back. The hair was tied at the bottom, forming the tail of a dolphin. Her eyes were a soft brown color, almost appearing red. She had a white tank top with a dark brown skirt, thigh high black socks, and red shoes. She wore gauntlets that extended to her elbows.

"Tifa.." Cloud said with a hinted, somber tone. "Hello there, Cloud," Tifa said with bright enthusiam as she faced him. Cloud was surprised when he heard her voice. It was a calming tone, almost motherly. Yet, the sound also sounded shy. Cloud's response was to look away, hiding his shame. "We definitely have some enemies on our hands," Tifa said as she walked towards Cloud almost. Cloud remained silent, not acknowleding Tifa's advice. He wanted to speak to her, but his conflicted mind prevented him. Tifa placed both hands behind her back and gave Cloud a calm, reassuring look upon her nice, open face. Cloud was able to respond, despite his vulnerable state. It still felt it took a lot from him. "If.. the same enemy was someone you know, will you be ready to fight back?" Cloud asked with a somber tone. "Of course, definitely. There's no doubt about that." Tifa responded back.

'Even if it's someone you care for?' Cloud thought. "Cloud, I really wonder if we can survive this upcoming war together," Tifa said towards Cloud.

Cloud didn't expect her to question whether she can handle the upcoming fights. Despite that, he spoke to Tifa. His voice hide his inner conflict, but he spoke. "There will come a time we will have to fight.. However, we will not be in the same side.." Cloud forewarned. "I know. I have to be ready for this, no matter what," Tifa said to Cloud.

It was a heavy thought, but Cloud knew Tifa had to be ready to fight. A glimpse of his somber mood was sighted from Tifa. Just as she saw it, any hint of Cloud's expression was replaced with a hardened, indifferent look. "Cloud, are you ready for this war now?" Tifa said calmly.

"I am.. But, do expect me not to support you. I'm a soldier.. of Chaos." Cloud spoke, showing remorse. "I am a warrior of Cosmos, in her sake," Tifa responded back. Cloud gave her a look of remorse before dissapearing. Tifa watched Cloud's visage vanish, standing near where he once stood. A little bit concerned for him, Tifa pondered over him, her red eyes having a look of glimmer a little bit.

Resolving to fight in the coming battles that lie ahead, Tifa steeled her spirit, knowing she may find Cloud, but less interactive.

Cloud was soon met with a man whom was dressed like a clown. His face had disgust upon sensing him.

"Kefka.." His voice not hiding his disgust.

"Awe.. Aren't we grumy? My question for you is why haven't you dealt with that girl? Is she that much of a problem?" Kefka asked.

"It's not of your concern, clown. Leave me." Cloud said.

"Temper, temper. Better hold that tone back unless Chaos wants to beat you.." Kefka warned in a joking tone. "Leave us alone Kefka!" Tifa snapped at him almost harshly. "Can't you see that we're in the middle of a dooming war here?"

Cloud had enough of Kefka, swinging his large sword at the clown. Kefka performed a comical flip, avoiding the sword.

"My, my, that won't do. Cloudy, let me discipline you!" Kefka shouted. "No! Ignore him, Cloud!" Tifa yelled almost outloud at Cloud, her face growing to be a little bit concerned now.

Cloud briefly hesistated. He was tempted in slaying Kefka, but knew he would be no different than Sephiroth. Kefka took advantage and launched an explosive fireball at Cloud. The fireball nearly scalded Cloud, leaving his right arm turning red.

"Damn you, Kefka." Cloud spoke.

Soon, a woman appeared. She had fiery pink hair that looked long and wild. Her name is Lightning Farron, a fellow warrior of Cosmos.

"Lightning? Why are you here?" Tifa asked.

"Helping you out." Lightning responded.

She soon saw Cloud fighting agaisn't Kefka. It briefly confused her, but Lightning knew she didn't want to linger long.

"Tifa, we have to leave Cloud.. He's a member of Chaos and we can't be near them." Lightning spoke. "But Cloud still can help us, no matter, Lightning," Tifa said calmly towards Lightning.

"I know you yearn for him, but we can't help him... Chaos has a lot of minions and if we risk interupting this fight, Cloud won't redeem himself to leave Chaos. Plus, it is through Cloud's determination that he will change allegiance. He is too lost due to his questioning of his self murals." Lightning explained. "Even if Cloud loses, his will to surive in this war, he will still remain to live and fight agaisn't Chaos. Don't you think that's fair?" Tifa asked to Lightning.

"Nothing is fair, Tifa. We have to believe in Cloud's resolve to rebel Chaos. There's nothing we can do." Lightning responded. "Hmm.. you could be right on this," Tifa said almost questioningly.

"It's the least we can do. If he can overcome the mark of Chaos, he can break his allegiance to the god. Though we can provide moral support, it's his will to overcome Chaos." Lightning reassured.

"What happens if Chaos wins this war? What will happen to us?" Tifa asked to Lightning.

"If Chaos wins, discord and destruction will spread. All of our homeworld, will dissapear. It's an outcome we must prevent." Lightning answered. "Then let's prevent it from happening in this realm," Tifa said.

"We'll need all our allies to help. Have faith, Tifa." Lightning said. "All right. I will, Lightning. Inform Cosmos, please," Tifa said.

Lightning dissapeared, leaving to inform Cosmos. Tifa reluctantly watched as Cloud fought Kefka.

"Is that you all got? I find it hilarious," Kefka laughed.

"Burn!" Cloud said.

From Cloud's hands, a fireball emerged and raced to Kefka. The clown didn't had a chance to dodge, taking the fireball.

"Ow! That's spicy." Kefka commented.

Cloud just wanted this to be over soon- he's getting fed up with this ongoing battles he keeps on recieving so far.

"Blasted clown. Just shut up." He snarled.

Cloud managed to slam his sword, incapacitating Kefka. With the clown now out of comission, he placed his sword on his back.

"Stay asleep, clown." He said. Lightning walked near towards Cloud as she gave him a nearly cold, unfriendly look.

"We are not allies, but I'll commend you for shutting that clown up." Lightning said.

"He was a nuisance. However, I haven't overcome the mark of Chaos within me. Though we are in opposite sides, hear my request. Keep Tifa safe," Cloud said. "I will. Now go back to your battles, warrior of Chaos. Be sure not to lose."

"Same to you, Lightning. Now go, before more come." Cloud said. "Definitely, warrior of Chaos. I'll see you later." Lightning said back to Cloud calmly.
