Synopsis:

She was happiness. She was joy. A charming little girl with who would always see the positive side of things and try to find the good in people's heart. . . That girl was me, at some point. An innocent soul with a pure heart along with the mindset where everyone would get their happily ever after, prince charming and everything like in most fairy tales. . .

But this story is not one of those.

There is no prince charming or a knight in shining armour, but I can guarantee you that there will be dragons with flames, demons from many kinds, creatures from legends, and battles like no other.

But the greatest fight of all is. . . The conflict within the heart with weapons that many know as. . .

Emotions. . .

I am Miyuki Urameshi. The girl who lost her spark, but ended up coming back as the whole damn fire.

The Rock Golems took the next corner that would lead to the long and large hallways of the palace. There were three of them with one human in the middle. The two Golems were leading while the third held onto the prisoner who had been struggling within the guard's strong grasp. Unfortunately, her fragile human body was too weak as her energy was wasted away. . . However, when they passed the next corner her dark- coffee-brown-like orbs suddenly caught the sight of a female statue's which happened to be on the middle pillar. But what got her attention most was the red rose that was placed in the statue's hands. Suddenly, the air filled with eerie silence was now cold like in Antarctica. Ruby's eyes go wide with realization and mentally braced herself for the unexpected. Immediately, a deadly sharp Rose whip wrapped around the huge rocky forearms and disconnected them from their owner. As soon as those fell to the ground, The Water-Bender girl was scot-free. Another Golem tried to catch her form, but she vanished within a blink of an eye.

The Rock creatures looked around confused, then out of nowhere, a huge wave of water washed over their giant bodies. The liquid did not only just splashed on them, it surrounded them. Caged them in a trap, but not another moment later, they were now inside a huge cube of ice with no escape or space to breathe.

The entire time, Ruby had her eyes shut tight. However, when here eyes opened up, she found herself in the arms of Hiei, who managed to get her before the Golems could. He placed her back on her feet while the boys rushed over to check on her.

"Are you okay Ruby?" The redheaded teen boy asked with pure concern on his face and in his tone. Ruby nodded her head as her answer.

"Guys. . ." The water-bender girl breathed out, completely relieved that her friends are safe and sound now. "You saved me. . ." She said with a dry and raspy voice. "Thank you . . ." She sent a grateful smile to each boys-.

"It's no problem miss." Kuwabara chimes in while flexing one of his arms and showed his proud grin on his face making a huge sweat drop roll down from the boys' head while Miyuki facepalmed.

"Alright, enough with the stupid prince charming crap Kuwa, let's get to that Magical Bastard!" Yusuke cuts in, earning small nods of agreement from his comrades.

"That door will lead us to my father's throne room." Kata informed as she pointed at the said huge door with golden decoration. "So brace yourselves." The female Spirit Detective nodded her head.

"Let's go!" Miyuki said, but as soon as she was about to turn her body towards the door-!

"LOOK OUT!" The redheaded boy cried out, but it was far too late to do anything. A gasp escaped through the said Urameshi girl's lips when her eyes saw that small cloud of purple smoke appearing in front of her, but before the girl would even move an inch, she was hit in the stomach, then in the chest, pressing the very pressure points that made the girl's body go limp like some rag doll.

"MIYUKI!" All expect the Fire Demon screamed her name, but just like the rest, he watched in shock and horror as her body hit the floor with a loud thud.

'Damn it, not this again!' Miyuki and Hiei cursed in their minds as Mara stepped onto the female Spirit Detective's back with her high heels. Her eyes held smugness and confidence as each of her sai knives are resting in each of her grasps.

"Well-well-well, the traitor and her little boy band." The woman taunted with her sickly sweet voice as her gaze scanned each and every one of them while her high heels were pressed against Miyuki's back, hard.

The team didn't hesitate for a second before they got into their fighting stance or pull out their weapon. Kata was one of them.

"You son of a bitch!" The male Spirit Detective screamed with rage filling him. "You will pay for what you did to Miyu!"

"Oh?" Mara hummed in wonder as she rose an eyebrow. "So you want to play, huh? " Then a sadistic smile. "Now that's more like it." She then suddenly did a hand sign that made the male Spirit Detective's eyes widen in recognition and fear because that position and hand sigh were way too familiar for him.

'Give me a BREAK!' He mentally cursed as the purple energy surrounded her body. Then as he expected, six more Mara appeared out of nowhere in a small puff of purple smokes.

"AGH! There are seven of them now!" Kazuma screamed in shock as he pointed out the obvious as usual.

"Who cares, let's kick her ass!" Yusuke exclaimed as he readied his fist that was soon covered with his spirit energy.

"But she- I mean they are all girls! I can't hit them, it would go against my honour code!" Kuwabara insisted on his statement and beliefs as he backed away with a few steps.

"Hn, if you're that much of a fool then stay behind and let us work here. I won't back down from a fight!" Hiei stated firmly as his grip on the ice-blade got tighter.

"You just pulled the words right out of my mouth Hiei!" The Urameshi boy agreed as he was about to shoot his shotgun while Kurama pulled out his rose whip. "Indeed. " Kata agreed as she followed the boys' example by bringing out her sharp fans with blades.

"Hah. And here I thought you will finally get back to your senses. . ." Kata's sister taunted as she stepped away from Miyuki's limp body and prepared herself for a match along with the other six clones of hers.

"Well then. . . I'm sorry that things have to end this way, 'sister'. " Mara mockingly 'apologized' to Kata who just hardened her glare at her so-called family.

"No, you're not." Kata calmly told her sister as her eyes reflected nothing more than anger and disgust. Then the next moment they all knew they were now on the battlefield with Mara and the clones.

"Hey, don't leave me hanging here. . ." I complained rather annoyed as I watched my idiots fight with that psychopath bitch and her cheap copies. I tried to at least lift a finger, but I wasn't able to do that. 'Damn it with these pressure points. If only I am a bit faster. . . Dang it, I might have a brain but I am just like my brother! Careless and reckless?!' I hate this. I hate all of this! And by all of it I mean my whole living being. How I can be so stupid at times and as a result, others were fighting the battle while I am on the back doing nothing. . . when in fact I want to be there for the others and fight alongside.

"Miyuki!" Ruby called my name. As best as my abilities allowed, I looked up with my gaze to see my favorite partner in crime. "Are you okay?" She asked me with concern as she bent down and turned me, so I was lying on my back.

"What are you doing?" I asked her in a weak voice as I watched her heal the points that made my body paralyzed. "You need to help the others-!"

"They will be okay, I'm sure of it." The water-bender girl reassured me as she moved the water back and forth around my chest and stomach.

"But still, you shouldn't waste your energy on me." I told her a little harshly, but also truthfully. So far I had caused more trouble than actually help. . . "

"Stop with this speech already!" Ruby cried out angrily, shocking me greatly. For as long as I can remember, I never witnessed her anger before. Not until now. "Stop thinking so less of yourself. You're not weak or useless, you're a fighter and I am going to help you get back on your feet, whether you like it or not!" I can't help but look at her in awe. During our time with Genkai's and Yara's torturing training, I never told any of these struggles I have been dealing with for years. However, the tone she had given me was like she knew exactly what I think or feel most of the times. "We do need you Miyu." Ruby insisted on as she removed her hands from my chest and went under my back so I can sit up. This girl. . . she is something else, that's for sure. Suddenly, I can feel my toes again. And my fingers. I slowly start to feel the control over my limbs again, however it was not perfect, I felt numb still. "Come on now!" Ruby hurried me as she wrapped my arm around my shoulder and helped me walk or more like run again. "Let's get you somewhere safe."

"Not so fast you little rats!" A voice suddenly snapped at me and Ruby. I set my gaze everywhere to see where the source is, but instead, my ears caught something. Immediately I pushed Ruby far away from my body so she can be safe. I roll on the floor for like three times before the spinning finally stopped. My eyes found that purple flame with a sharp weapon that is in the middle of it all. Then I met with the cold gaze of that crazy psychopath woman who casually picked up her weapon. "No one is going to pay a visit to my dear father, and I certainly won't let you all get in our way! " She cried out in rage. That excuse of a woman lifted up her sai and was ready to strike, but instead, it clashed against Ruby's arm blade that was made out of ice.

"Ruby!" I called loudly with a raspy voice as I wobbly got up from the dirty and cold stone floor. But then suddenly I feel myself falling.

Okay, it's official. This whole mission is getting really out of hand and utterly ri-goddamned-diculous. I try to find the logic here, make sense of all this, but I had detected nothing.

Oh, who am I kidding! Magic never has any logic.

My ranting was cut short when I landed on my butt on the solid brick floor. I grit my teeth as I forced back the painful grunt that almost left my mouth. Jeez, I hate portals so much right now.

"Welcome to my throne room, little girl." That damn deep voice greeted my ears while my eyes snapped open and looked into those ice-cold orbs of the wizard again.

"Zankoku. . ." I spat out with a venomous tone as I struggled my way back up on my feet. But as always, stand into a fighting stance.

This is the moment Akio had warned me about. . .

Okay Miyuki, let's do this.

For your friends and the greater good.
