*Hey all. So I decided to redo and repost my 'Family Reunited' story. I had a different idea for it and I want it to better reflect on what happened after my TS3 story. Hope you like this version as much as the original!*

Woody was so close, so close to catching up to the car. He ran as fast as he could, the rain pelting his body like cold daggers. He looked up and saw Bo pounding her hands on the glass, her face terrified.

"Woody!" She yelled.

"Hang on, Bo!" He yelled back. He ran and jumped onto the bumper, trying to hang on, but the car hit another pothole and Woody fell off. Hitting the pavement, he rolled into a puddle of water. He hissed in pain and looked up just as the car went off a ramp and onto the highway. "No! Bo Peep!"

Woody's eyes snapped open as he woke up from his dream. Shaking his head, He looked at the wall calendar near the desk. June 8th. The sheriff gasped. Today was the anniversary of the day he lost his beloved wife. Nine years ago, she was sold in a yard sale and taken away from all of them. Woody slammed his head against the pillow and sighed. His nonexistent heart ached for her. The stories he would tell her would take hours. He and his family had been through a lot since Bo left. Four years after losing Bo, they were donated to a daycare called Sunnyside where they were tortured by a bear named Lotso; they were almost burned to death in a furnace, reunited with Andy, and then donated again to a little girl named Bonnie Anderson after Andy went away to college. Now five years later, Woody still fought to let go of the torture that he experienced at Sunnyside. He took the brunt of it, protecting his family, taking beating after beating for three days. During that time, he thought he had lost his daughter. Next to his family and his new human kid Bonnie, Rosetta was the one other person Woody held close to his heart, for she remined him of Bo. He looked over and saw her playing with Slinky. Though she still resembled a small ten-year-old girl, she had matured mentally over the years. Whenever he looked at her, he thought of his wife, for the two were so similar. Rosetta saw her dad looking at her, smiled, and started walking over.

"Good morning, sleepyhead." She said, climbing onto the windowsill.

"Good morning sweetheart." Woody said, kissing her forehead.

"Aunt Jessie was looking for you earlier. Should I tell her you're awake now?"

"No, no. That's okay, I'll find her later." Rosetta could sense worry in his voice.

"Are you okay, dad? Did you have a bad dream about Sunnyside again?"

"No, thank goodness. I actually had a bad dream about, about losing mom."

"Awe daddy. What triggered that…oh. No. Tell me it's not today. Today can't be the anniversary of when we lost her."

"I'm afraid so, sweetie. Nine years today."

"Oh dad. I'm so sorry." She came over and hugged him around the neck. "Was it the same dream as before? Where you're chasing the car?"

"I get so close, but the rain makes it hard to keep up. When I get onto the bumper, I feel excited, but the car hits a pothole and I hit the pavement again. Every time I think about that day, I hate myself a little more, because I failed to protect her."

"You didn't fail her, daddy. You did all that you could to get her back. I know it, Buzz and the others know it, and mom knows it. We all know how far you'll go to protect us. Heck, we saw it at Sunnyside. You took such a beating for the sake of our family."

"Our family is the most important thing in the world to me. I'd die before I let anything happen to any of you." Rosetta hissed.

"I wish you wouldn't say that. What would mom say if she heard that come out of your mouth?"

"Oh, she has heard me say that on many occasions. And every time, she's smacked me on the side of the head and tell me I don't need to go to extreme measures like that." Woody laughed, but only for a second before grabbing onto his daughters' tiny hands.

"I really miss her." Rosetta sighed.

"I think now is the right time to give this to you." He handed her a small box.

"What is it?"

"Something that will remind you of mom." Rose lifted the lid and gasped.

"Oh my god, dad. This is Mom's necklace. She said quietly. I don't understand. You gave her this on your wedding day. Why, why are you giving this to me?" Woody took it from her smiling.

"The night before the yard sale, she gave it back to me and told me, when the time was right, to pass it over to you. He said, placing it around her neck. She had me swear, that if anything happens to her, that I were to always take care of you. I said I would and the she handed the necklace to me and said, 'Tell her to wear it and to think of me, so that she knows that I'm always with her.'"

"She knew she was going to be sold, didn't she?"

"She did, yes. I knew it too, but I didn't want to believe it. Honestly, I didn't think there would be a day where I had to say goodbye to her. Here, turn around." Woody placed the necklace around her neck and clasped it. "See? It looks beautiful on you." He touched her cheek. "We'll see mom again, little one. Someday, I just know it."

"You're right, dad. You know what we need? We need to dance it out. Mom wouldn't want us to mope around like this." She ran to the radio and a song called "Better when I'm dancing" came on. The little girl started jumping and dancing around on the floor. "Dance with me, daddy." She said, waving at him. Woody smiled and shook his head, and then jumped down beside his daughter and started to dance.

Show the world you got that fire, feel the rhythm getting louder, show the world what you can do, prove to them you got the moves, I don't know about you, but I feel better when I'm dancing, yeah yeah, better when I'm dancing. We can do this together; bet you feel better when you're dancing, yeah yeah.

Woody and Rosetta laughed and danced until the song ended. Woody kneeled down beside her and placed a hand on her cheek.

"Thank you, sweetheart, I needed that." He sighed.

"It was worth it; I got to see you smile again. I love you, dad."

"I love you too, Rose."

"Hey Woody, you have a minute? I need to talk to you." Jessie called.

"Be there in a minute, Jess. Come on honey; let's go see what she wants." Woody said and the two walked off hand in hand. Little did they know that outside in the bushes, a pair of eyes was watching them and slowly slinked off into the night.

*So definitely a switch up from the original story. Posting two chapters today. Don't worry, Vampiregirl1, I'll have that other story up soon. Promise!"
