I was lying in my bed reading the end of The Last Guardian. I thought about the ending, disliking the death of the protagonist, Artemis Fowl, even if he did come back to life.

I looked over at a bouquet of strange roses that had began to grow when I started the series.

Laughing, I looked down at the scratches and marks I'd gotten from battling the rampaging thorn bushes.

I played with a petal. Fairy roses. Yeah right.

The closet door slammed open, pushed by a violent wind that swirled the petals all over a crouching figure.

I jerked back to the wall on my bed, grabbing a poster holder and swinging it in front of me. I may not look it, but I am pretty strong.

"What? Where am I?" The figure stood, wearing a distinctive Armani suit and looking very disheveled. His dark hair was swept back and his eyes were unmatched: one hazel, one startling blue.

"Artemis Fowl," I mouthed the words, brightening the lamp in the room and coming over to help him up.

"Do I know you?" Artemis asked me, taking my hand reluctantly.

I helped him up. "Not really. You are rather famous here." I shrugged and tossed him the first book.

Opening it and scanning it with his eyes Artemis sat down heavily. "Yes well, I theorized about a multiverse. With time travel, anything seems possible."

I chuckled. "The novels are my favorites, but the movie was not something you'd want to see."

Artemis sighed. "Please tell my I'm not owned by Disney."

I put a hand on his shoulder supportively. "I'm sorry, but it's true."

Artemis recovered quickly, and touched the petals littering the floor. "So this was the medium? Are you in any way magical?"

I nodded then hesitated. "Well…I have visions sometimes. And I can sense things others can't. And I can feel others pain."

"Premonition, Clairvoyance, and Empathy." Artemis paced quietly. "With all of that, something like this was bound to happen eventually." He continued talking in this way for hours until I fell asleep. He yawned and touched my shoulder. "Where shall I sleep?"

I rolled my eyes and rolled over on my Queen bed and yanked him into bed.

Shocked as he seemed, Artemis fell asleep with his giant brain resting on my nearly flat chest.
