HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE! 2020 was bad so here's hoping 2021 is better! STAY SAFE AND GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

Hello everyone, here is Chapter 7 of the Spectacular Spider-man. After the Rhino debacle, Will tells Oliver and his team exactly what he's been facing and informs them of the Big Man of Crime that's been under their nose this entire time. Kind of goes to show that he's not out of his depth like Oliver thinks. Now they've got a common enemy who sends Flint Marko after Spider-man and he's changed just like O'Hirn but unlucky for them, is Spider-man won't be alone. Epic Team-UP time! One heck of a Thanksgiving, huh? Enjoy!

The Spectacular Spider-man: A lot to be thankful for

November 2014-Starling City

Will was in the city in his regular clothing with his Spider-man gear in his backpack, waiting by the counter of Big Belly Burger for his order. Normally it wouldn't take that long, but he had ordered a lot. While he was waiting, he was looking at a contract PDF on his phone. Laurel had drawn up some changes to the contract he and Dr. Connors got from Palmer Technologies and sent them over so they could see if they wanted to make any more changes. It seemed fine and Laurel worked out the changes so they weren't strong-armed like before, but they would still need to meet with the Palmer Tech board which was already on the books.

"Number 54!" A cashier shouted, holding up a large bag of Big Belly Burger food and drinks.

Will walked over and took it. "Thank you." He smiled and walked out of the restaurant before catching the bus to Verdant. He sat in his seat when his phone went off and saw it was Yuri. "Hey, Yuri. Did O'Hirn give you anything yet?"

"No, he's keeping his mouth shut. But good news is that the scientists at Palmer Technologies worked out a new cell so he's not going anywhere. They're working on trying to get that Rhino suit off of him, but they say it could take some time." Yuri replied. She was back at the precinct, talking on her cellphone while she poured herself a cup of coffee. "Still, he's dealt with and you saved a lot of officers from getting hurt. I'm even starting to hear whispers of praise from your harshest critics."

"Well, that's nice to know. And I'm always here to help. Any luck on tracking down Kingsley?" Will asked, keeping his voice down so no one overheard him.

"No. Even my best CI's can't dig up anything on him. As far as the world is concerns, he's in Europe although if he is then he's keeping himself isolated. Are you sure you think he's back in the city?"

"Unless he never left. Maybe the whole leaving for Europe story was just a smokescreen so we'd stop chasing after him." He suggested.

"Not a bad idea." Yuri commented.

"And O'Hirn seemed pretty confident that he was in the city and it was his scientists that made the Rhino suit and that thing was tough. Impenetrable and not even my acid bombs could make a dent. Did Captain Lance get any luck in getting the names of any of his science or engineering holdings?" Will asked as Yuri sipped her coffee and walked into Lance's office before shutting the door. She put the phone on his desk and hit the speaker icon.

"No. The judge says there's not enough probable cause to get access to Kingsley's holdings other then what's made public. I've had my tech guys take a look but everything they've seen is clean. If Kingsley recruited a mad scientist then he's hidden it well." Lance told him.

"Damn. I was hoping we got lucky." Will commented.

"What are you thinking?" Lance wondered.

"I'm thinking that Tombstone's gotten smarter. He and Hammerhead clearly aren't pulling any punches anymore. Tombstone remains untouchable while making himself look like a saint, Hammerhead recruits idiots who hate me which is a long list and Kingsley turns them into supervillains." Will surmised. "We need another angle and finding the doc that O'Hirn said made that suit might be it. And trying to take down Hammerhead."

"That's easier said than done. Hammerhead's practically a ghost not to mention that he and Tombstone probably have moles inside the police to keep watch on our efforts." Lance told him. "And considering that he's probably the one who bailed out O'Hirn and Marko, then his moles are making sure he remains unseen."

"We need another angle." Yuri told him as Will arrived at his stop.

"I'm working it. I'll let you guys know what I find out." He hung up as he got off the bus. With it being around noon, Verdant was pretty much empty so he didn't have to worry about any prying eyes as he made his way to the alley door and knocked on it. The electronic lock clicked, and he walked into the Arrow cave where he heard the sound of fighting and stick clacking.

That turned out to be a training session between Oliver and Roy using Baston fighting sticks while Diggle and Felicity watched. Oliver blocked and parried all of Roy's attacks before knocking him off his feet where he flipped and landed on his face.

"Ow." Will commented as Team Arrow looked to see Will holding up the bags of Big Belly Burger. "I don't suppose you want a break. I brought take out."

"Yeah, I'll take that break." Roy got up as Felicity walked over and took some of the bags.

"I didn't know what you guys wanted so I got some favorites." Will said as Roy walked over. "I don't think we've really met. Will Detmer."

"Roy Harper." Roy shook his hand. "So, you're Spider-man."

"And you're the Red Arrow." Will said.

"Actually, I go by Arsenal." Roy told him.

"Oh. I think Red Arrow is better but that's just me." Will commented as Felicity took her food out of the bag.

"Not that I don't appreciate the Big Belly Burger because I really do…" Felicity smiled before sipping her soda. "…but what brings you by? Unless you and Oliver are now officially teaming up which I think is great."

"Yeah, I don't think that's the case." Will told her as Oliver walked over. "I came over because Oliver has some questions and I felt it was better to come here then risk having him come at me with another arrow."

"Good idea." Roy told him when he noticed the look he got from Oliver. "What? I know what it feels like to be on the other end of your arrows and it still tingles when it's cold."

"Questions about what?" Dig wondered.

"About how a common criminal was able to obtain a large and impenetrable Rhino suit. Apparently, he works for the Big Man of Crime." Oliver explained.

"You can call him Tombstone and I could do without the sarcasm." Will told him causing Felicity to chuckle. "His real name is L. Thompson Lincoln. He's one of the city's biggest philanthropists and businessmen but he actually controls most of this city's crime. The Big Man is just moniker that most people know him by since he has his lieutenants and head enforcer deal with them."

Felicity was intrigued and did some digging, bringing up Lincoln's file and picture so Team Arrow could see the 7ft tall Albino skinned UFC fighter for themselves. "Ok, creepy looking dude aside…um, Will's right about him being a businessman and philanthropist but I'd have to look deeper to see if he's actually a criminal." Felicity told him.

"Oh, he is." Will handed her a flash drive which she plugged in. She checked for viruses or malware but found a video file.

"What is it?" Oliver asked.

"Spider-vision, brought you to in part by a fixed and modified Go-Pro and the one and only Spider-man." He joked only to get funny looks from all of them. "Yeesh, tough crowd. I'm guessing you guys keep those dower looks on your face all the time."

Felicity chuckled as she brought up the video footage which was a first-person perspective of his conversation with Tombstone.

Spider-man arrived and forced open one of the windows of an office before jumping in only for private security guards to arrive. Before they could fire their guns, they were web yanked forward, kicked into the ceiling, and webbed there for good measure. With the nuisance taken care of, he vaulted through the air and landed on the large desk.

"Trick-or-treat. I'm here to see Mr. Lincoln."

"Then you should make an appointment. But perhaps we'll make an exception for the hero of the day." The deep baritone speaker turned in his chair to reveal a tall, large, albino skinned man in the fancy business suit. "I am L. Thompson Lincoln."

"You can drop the act there, big boss. I know you're the Big Man."

"In my life I've been called many names. My favorite…" Lincoln stood up from his chair to show he was tall, at least 7ft and built like a UFC fighter. "…is Tombstone."

"Back off. I've taken down hundreds of your minions not to mention the Black Widow. A pale guy in a suit doesn't…UGH!" He was punched across the face and knocked to the ground but rolled back to his feet as Tombstone jumped from his desk and closed the distance. Spider-man threw out a punch that Tombstone blocked and responded with a gut punch and a right cross to the face that made him eat dirt. Tombstone slammed his foot onto his chest and kept him on the ground. Guess he wasn't the kind of boss who needed people to protect him.

"Don't move, just listen and I'll teach you the facts of life." Tombstone said only for Spider-man to web a billiard ball from the pool table and throw it at him. That didn't work as Tombstone caught it with his hand and crushed it into pieces. "The Big Man, whomever he might be, has nothing against heroes. No hero can thwart enough crime to dent his income. Even when the Vigilante showed his face his Starling, it did little to impact his business. But you…you frighten criminals off the street entirely. Except when you're off battling the likes of Shocker, Vulture, and the Black Widow. Then the Big Man's profitable army of petty thugs think themselves beneath the Spider-man's notice."

"So as long as I keep fighting crime, you'll keep making bigger and badder…" "Now you're learning." Tombstone smirked before walking over to his desk. "But there is a way out. Come work for me. You can still save the world like a good hero. I'll even pay you. All you have to remember is to look the other way on occasion. On any occasion I choose."

Tombstone took out a briefcase filled with cash to make his point. When Spider-man didn't respond right away he thought he won a small victory by getting him to join…but he was wrong.

"Sorry, but I make it a personal policy not to do business with anyone who doesn't get the adequate amount of sunlight and vitamin D…or is sociopathic. And no matter who you send after me, I'll send them right to jail where they belong. Then I'll come for you and I won't stop until you join them." Spider-man proudly told him before webbing the couch and throwing it at the window, causing the window to break. "Bill me."

"Told you so." Will smirked.

"How have we never heard of him?" Dig asked.

"Because he runs a tight ship and keeps his goons in line and scared. Probably with help from his head muscle and possible second in command, Hammerhead." Will explained.

"Hammerhead?" Oliver thought Will was kidding.

"Wow, for someone who says I'm in over my head you don't seem to know a lot about the city's criminal underworld." He pointed out only to get a glare in response. "Hammerhead used to be one of the heads of the Maggia crime families when they ran this city years ago. He was the only Maggia not arrested because of a technicality and after that, went to work for Tombstone and take over the power vacuum left behind after the Maggia arrests. Only Tombstone was smart and stayed out of the public eye unlike the Maggia. Live and learn, I guess. Hammerhead usually controls the idiots in the city and keeps them in line. No one would dare flip on the Big Man out of fear and all of them don't know enough. I only learned his name after the Black Widow incident during Halloween."

"Which Tombstone had made because you kept interfering with his business." Felicity surmised. "Wow, I don't know whether to feel insulted or glad that he didn't come after us."

"You seem to know a lot about him." Oliver pointed out.

"I should because I've been dealing with Hammerhead since August. And I've got a friend who's familiar with his work." Will replied. "You have your team and I have mine."

"Who?" Oliver wanted to know.

"Sorry, Oliver but I can't tell you that." Will flat out told him.

"You don't think I won't be able to find out?" Oliver wondered.

"No, I know you could probably figure it out but I'm not going to tell you. It's not your business who I work with. I only told you this out of mutual respect and so that you aware of what's going on." Will told him. "Until I take down Tombstone, he'll keep up his efforts to take me down so I figured if you knew he was around as well then it might speed up our chances of finding something to use against him."

"Why don't you just grab him out of his office?" Roy wondered.

"Because even if I do that, I've got nothing to keep him in jail. He's always at least one step away from his criminal activities and using evidence gathered by me wouldn't work in court and he'd be out as soon as he's put back in." Will pointed out. "It's actually part of the other reason I came here. I need Felicity's help."

"My help?" Felicity asked.

"Yeah. Since you're the resident tech/computer genius here and as a fellow science nerd, respect." Will bowed his head and she chuckled. "I was hoping you might be able to do some digging into Roderick Kingsley. He works for Tombstone."

"The guy who owns that beauty empire?" Roy asked as everyone looked at him funny. "Thea loves his magazines."

"Yeah. He's involved and working with Tombstone. Most of his empire was funded by criminal activities along with investing into the less then desirable areas of science and technology. After I took down Smythe, Tombstone had Kingsley contract another scientist and that's how we got the Rhino. Looking at Kingsley the legal way has gotten my team nowhere so I was hoping you might be able to dig up some stuff that they can't." Will hoped.

"I do owe you for saving me and my mother so sure. I'll take a look, but it might take a while." Felicity warned him.

"That's fine. Just look at everything you can for a lead. It might be the thing that helps us take down Tombstone." He replied.

"Take him down, huh?" Oliver muttered. "You really think you'll be able to do that."

"If things work out then yeah. Considering everything he's been doing in this city and to try and stop me I think it's fair to say that having him in jail is a good thing." Will told him. "If you've got something to say to me then just say it."

"We wouldn't be dealing with the Rhino or Tombstone if you weren't around." Oliver stated causing Will to scoff.

"Wow. Just when I thought things were getting a little better between us, you go and do this. Well, if we're going by that logic then if it weren't for you then we wouldn't be dealing with Malcolm Merlyn or the Huntress." He shot back. "Better yet, how about that army of masked freaks and Deathstroke who nearly destroyed this city. God, Oliver you may have been at this longer than I have but you're being nothing more than a petty jerk right now."

"Excuse me?" Oliver got in his face, but Will didn't back down.

"You heard me and quite frankly I've had enough of your attitude towards me." Will told him.

"Ok, maybe we should take it easy." Dig told them, trying to deescalate the situation.

"It's fine, Dig. Go ahead, Oliver. Just what is your problem with me."

"Oliver, don't answer that." Felicity told him.

"I think you're nothing more than a child play acting a hero out there. You don't know just how dangerous this life is and what it takes from you. And when you find out, you'll see that I'm right." Oliver stated causing Will to scoff and the others to sigh. He gave Oliver a look before walking over to the training mat and putting his backpack down.

"If you really believe that, then prove it." Will took off his button-up, so he was just wearing his blue t-shirt and showed everyone his defined muscles. While Oliver was bigger than him, Will was more cut and defined. "If you really think I can't keep this city safe and I'm just a child play acting a hero, then you should be able to take me down with no problem. And you can use your bow and arrows too. You'll need it."

Oliver grabbed his bow and quiver and joined him on the mat while Will slipped on his web shooters. "Oliver, stop." Felicity told him.

"It's fine, Felicity." Will assured her. "Oliver needs a lesson in humility that I've gotten my whole life."

"I don't want to do this." Oliver told him.

"Yes, you do. You've already assumed the worst of me without even getting to know me. And quite frankly after all our meetings and having taken your attitude all this time, I'm ready to prove you wrong." Will stated as the two heroes squared up with one another. "Age before beauty, Robin Hood. This won't last long."

Oliver quickly fired a bolo arrow at Will, but he easily ducked it, so it missed. He fired three more arrows but each one missed as he either side stepped it, ducked, and the last one he caught. "I dodge bullets on a regular basis. Your arrows aren't much." Will tossed the arrow aside before firing a web at Oliver's face which he blocked with his bow but then fired another at his left leg and yanked hard, so it pulled his feet out from under him. That left him open to a roundhouse kick to the face that sent him tumbling onto the map.

Oliver rolled from the impact and got back to his feet before firing another arrow at Will which he caught and quickly threw at the wall where it exploded, showing that he knew it was an explosive arrow and got rid of it. Oliver fired a flashbang arrow, but Will flipped over it with ease and began blocking and dodging all of Oliver's attacks. From what Dig could see, it really looked like Oliver was trying to take him down.

"Oliver, calm down!" Dig shouted but it didn't seem to do anything as Oliver kept attacking but Will was able to keep up with him.

He blocked Oliver's jab and caught his bow hand which Oliver used to lock and twist his wrist so Will just flipped his body around out of the wrist lock before putting him in a triangle chock. Oliver grit his teeth and lifted him up into the air to slam him down only for Will to let go and flip over where he knocked his legs out with a leg sweep. Oliver rolled from his fall and threw out a punch with his bow that Will grabbed before letting out a small venom shock that stunned Oliver's whole body so he couldn't move.

"I…can't…move…" Oliver managed to mutter as he was essentially stuck in place like all his muscled locked up.

"A small bio-electric shock to your nervous system. Don't worry, at the small voltage I hit you with it'll only last a few minutes." Will stood up and walked over to get his stuff. "And just so you know, I've tested and trained my powers for months before I even decided to take up the mask to know what I could do. With agility greater than any human on the planet, bio-electric energy control and with super strength that lets me lift up a station wagon like you lift a glass of wine. I could have ended this fight and punched you in the back to break your spin, or zap you with enough energy to stop your heart but I didn't because that's not who I am. Every day I'm out there I limit my strength and what I can do so I don't fatally hurt someone because I know that it's my responsibility to control my powers or else people get hurt. Ever since we've met, I've given you the benefit of the doubt despite the fact that you used to kill people but all you've done is look at me like I'm the bad guy. Whatever happened to you those five years turned you into someone new but clearly it made you less trusting of people. How you got your team to work with you is beyond me."

Will put his backpack on and walked to the door. "When you're ready to have a normal conversation and treat me like a friend instead of an enemy, I'll be waiting. But you'll have to pull your head out of your ass first."

He left the bunker leaving Team Arrow a little shellshocked. Oliver managed to move his body again just like Will said he could but judging by his expression and the looks he was getting from the others he knew he messed up.

Felicity got up and walked over to Oliver. "He was right about one thing. You really don't trust people."

She left the bunker after that and Dig nodded to Roy to leave so he could talk to Oliver and impart some sage-like wisdom. Oliver slammed his bow on the table and let out a rough exhale in frustration. "You know, Oliver I've seen you through your best and your worst, but I don't think I've ever seen you do that." Dig told him.

"Well, you heard Felicity. I don't trust people that well." Oliver replied.

"No, that's not it. If you really didn't trust him then you would have never let him in here during the whole Cupid thing. Something else is bothering you so what is it?" Dig asked. "The kid's been nothing but helpful. Sure, he talks to much but he's proven he knows what he's doing out there and can handle his own so what is it? What's your problem with him?"

"I've been doing this for a long time, Dig. Even before I came home and nearly every time I learn a lesson it comes with a painful memory or cautionary tale. I've watched friends die and I've had to kill to survive and all of that has helped me survive. Every time I go out there, I draw on those painful memories and a darkness every time I pull back my bow so to see him out there doing everything he can do, making those jokes, and treating everything like it's no big deal it pisses me off. More than I care to admit." Oliver admitted.

"It makes you wonder if everything we've been through was for nothing." Dig added. "Look, Oliver I get it and I'm sure the others feel similar too. He's been in the city for half a year and he's been able to do our job better then we could for nearly three years. He's locked up more criminals then we ever could and he was able to take on Merlyn and Nyssa by himself and he's earned Lance's trust."

"It's not just that, Diggle. He's a good kid, I can see that, but he has no idea what he's in for."

"Are you sure because he seems to understand that from what I can tell. And from my conversations with him, he understands what he's in for. With great power comes great responsibility and you just got a big dose of that." Dig told him. "He's not like us, Oliver. And we should be lucky he decided to use his powers for the right reasons. From what Felicity was able to look up, any kid who's been through that kind of bullying his entire life would have used their powers for the wrong reasons, but he didn't. He's a good kid with a good head on his shoulders who wants to do the right thing. I think your just too hung up on one side of him to see past that."

Oliver agreed with his point and was mature enough to see that he had overreacted, probably due to his own issues and being hopped up on adrenaline from the training session. He learned a lesson and now it was time to make up for it.

Line Break xxxxx

The next day, Will and Dr. Connors had their new meeting with the board of Palmer Technologies and Ray Palmer with Laurel attending as their legal counsel. He did have a morning class that day, but Dr. Connors managed to get him out of it and he'd make up the work when he got back to campus. The three walked into the Palmer Tech building and up to the board room where the board and Ray were waiting.

"Dr. Connors, glad you could join us. And you've brought your legal counsel." Ray said.

"We did. Helps to have friends in high places." Will commented as Laurel smirked.

"ADA Dinah Laurel Lance. I'll be the legal counsel for Dr. Connors and Mr. Detmer. Shall we begin?" Laurel asked as everyone sat down.

"Let's. I imagine this won't take that long." Board Member Dennis said. If only he knew how wrong, he was. While the board thought that Dr. Connors was there to sign their contract, they were instead given the new contract that he and Laurel wrote up that had several changes to it.

Many of the changes were about their employment with Palmer Technologies and their control over the Genetic Recombinator. Before, it essentially stated that Palmer Technologies would provide funding and equipment for Dr. Connors research in exchange for control over the rights of how to use their Genetic Recombinator. Laurel changed that so now Palmer Technologies could fund the research, but Dr. Connors retained sole control and ownership of the technology and patent research with Palmer Tech owning a minority control. They could advise Dr. Connors on what to do and would still earn a solid profit, but they could not seize control of his research, copy it, or force him out without incurring a serious lawsuit. Laurel sure was thorough and it was kind of amusing to see the board's frustrated looks at being forced out of controlling a possible million-dollar treatment plan. Dr. Palmer was more than ok with the new contract and was ready to make it happen despite the protects from the board and about two hours later, the contract was signed and now Dr. Connors was going to be working with Palmer Technologies on his Genetic Recombinator project.

With that said and done, Dr. Connors first line of business was hiring Will as his own personal assistant and secondary head of the project. Rather than have a Palmer Tech scientist as secondary head, Dr. Connors wanted Will. That was one point the board tried to fight as they thought a college sophomore had no business with such an important position on a serious project. Dr. Connors revoked all their suggestions for seasoned scientists and wanted Will. He trusted him and he already knew everything about the project and didn't want to play catch up with someone else. It was very humbling to see Dr. Connors vouch for him and he was going to be getting a salary. Ka-Ching!

When the meeting was all over not all the board members were entirely happy, but Ray tried to smooth things over. Will, Dr. Connors, and Laurel left the board room with smiles on their face.

"Ok, at first I thought that legal work was boring, no offense Laurel, but that was awesome." Will said out loud. "I swore I saw one of the board members have a vein pop up on his head from frustration. Thanks again, Laurel for doing this."

"Yes. We can't thank you enough for what you've done. Without you, I imagine I'd be stuck buried in legal litigations with another lawyer who wants to empty my pockets." Dr. Connors told her.

"Well, it was my pleasure. I deal with criminals on a daily basis so outsmarting board members of a company is a nice break and I don't scare easily." Laurel replied. "So, how long before you think you can actually start using your machine to help people?"

"Well, the funding and tools that Palmer Tech can offer are going to help immensely. I imagine we'll be able to get a lot done quicker with their help." Dr. Connors assured her.

"But we still have a lot of work and testing to do. Something like this is best not rushed." Will pointed out.

"Of course, of course. My assistant and second in command already doing his job. Speaking of which, I'm needed back on campus for mine." Dr. Connors checked his watch and pressed the button for an elevator. "Will, are you coming back with me?"

"No, you go ahead Dr. Connors. There's an errand I need to run first." He answered.

"Of course. I'll see you bright an early tomorrow." Dr. Connors told him as the elevator arrived, so he walked in. "We've got a lot of work to do. Science waits for no man…"

"So, we don't wait for the opportunity." Will finished, waving goodbye just as the elevator doors closed.

"He seems nice." Laurel commented.

"Yeah. Dr. Connors is the best. Thanks again for the help, Laurel." He told her.

"And again, don't mention it. I'm happy to." Laurel replied. "It's hard to believe that you manage to find the time for this and being Spider-man."

"Its had its close calls, but I make it work. Doesn't leave me much time for a vacation though." He joked. "I doubt I'd be able to take a trip of Hawaii for a week without the city falling apart but it comes with the territory."

"Tell me about it." They heard as Felicity walked over to join them. "I can't tell you the last time I've ever been on vacation the past three years. Being Oliver's tech support pretty much means that I'm needed here."

"Didn't you take a trip to Central City a month ago?" Laurel pointed out.

"That wasn't for vacation. That was more work as it turns out. A true vacation would be where I could do nothing hero related and relax."

"That would be nice but kicking bad guy butt is a nice stress reliever." Will joked.

"How are you, Will? I know our last meeting didn't go so well." Felicity said.

"What happened?" Laurel asked.

"Oliver being an asshole, but I've dealt with that kind of thing my whole life so no news there." He assured them. "It felt kind of good to kick his butt and bruise his ego."

"Well one thing about Oliver is that his ego is pretty big." Laurel told him.

"Well, I did a number on him. Did you manage to get anywhere, Felicity?" He wondered.

"Yeah, I did. You were right about Kingsley being a crook. His money is pretty clean for most people looking at him, but I dug a little further and he is dirty." Felicity answered.

"Roderick Kingsley the beauty empire owner?" Laurel was confused.

"I'll explain later. Promise. I'll have to loop you in sooner or later." Will promised.

"I'm still digging but I should have a complete list of his scientific endeavors by tomorrow." Felicity told him.

"Awesome." Will replied when he checked his watch. "Well, it was a pleasure ladies, but I've got some shopping to do. Red, White, and Blue electronics is having a November sale and I need to do some shopping for some discount tech to build some new gear. And until I actually start getting a paycheck, I need to bargain shop. Call me if you need something."

He left Palmer Tech and took a bus to Red, White, and Blue Electronics. With Thanksgiving come up soon the store was having a special store wide sale which was the best for him to get more tech for cheap. He not only got a lot of good tech in the bargain and discount piles, but he managed to buy a new router for a steal which he could use for parts for upgrading his tech and building some new gadgets. One of the gadgets he was working on was an upgrade to his web bomb, but it would work like a trip mine. When the laser sensor was tripped, it would activate, trapping whoever crossed it in webbing. He was also in the process of designing a mini spider-bot, sort of like a drone but it was still in its alpha-phase. He was working on some more spider-trackers with an increased age and making some general modifications to his web shooters. He had some ideas about designing some new web fluid that could hold the charge of his venom shock like a taser web or even developing some sort of freezing webbing. He had a lot of ideas in notebooks in his desk.

He returned to SCU, picked up the work he missed from his morning class before heading to the lab to make more web fluid while Dr. Connors was busy. He then returned to his dorm room and got to work on disassembling all the tech he bought and reusing it for his gadgets. He had pieces of tech and design sheets all over, even some hanging from web hammocks or stuck to the ceiling. The electronic lock to his door clicked and in walked Aria who smiled at him before putting her bag down and shutting the door.

"Why is it so hot in here? Aren't you hot?" She asked as she took off her jacket to reveal her sleeveless vest and a fair amount of cleavage.

"I…I am now…" Will muttered, a little speechless at what was happening.

"I've been thinking…that we could use some alone time." Aria told him before locking the door.

She gave him a sly smirk before unzipping her vest and taking it off to show her sheer green tank top and bra underneath. "Oh…man…" Will muttered, standing up as she walked over and the two locked lips. The kissing started slow and gentle but soon got more intense when Will pulled back a bit. "You've got class in half an hour."

"I can be a little late." She told him as the two resumed their make out. She ran her arms over his shoulder and through his hair while he held her by the waist, running his hands along her lower back. Aria moved her hands down to his collar and began unbuttoning his button-up. "You spend too much time thinking. I think you should relax every once in a while."

"Too true." Will took his shirt off, leaving him in his blue muscle shirt. Aria ran her hands over his defined muscles and shivered in delight before he pulled her up and she wrapped her legs around him, neither of them breaking the kiss at all. He led them to the bed before falling to his back, so she was on top as the two continued their intense make-out when there was a knock on the door. "Son of a bitch."

"You've got to be kidding me." Arai muttered as she moved some hair from her face. She leaned back as she was currently straddling him, and their little session would have gotten intense if it weren't for the knock. He motioned her to stay quiet.

"Maybe if we're quiet, they'll leave." He whispered only to hear another knock, this time it sounded urgent. "Dammit."

"Who the hell could that be?" Aria asked as she got off him and picked her vest up off the ground.

"I don't know." Will got up and went to his laptop to activate the camera feed he had installed on his door. Along with adjusting Aria, Spencer, and Emily's student ID cards so they could swipe into his room, he also made a security adjustment and placed a tiny camera on his door incase something happened. The camera feed turned on and he saw it was Oliver. "I don't believe it."

"What's Oliver Queen doing here?" Aria asked.

"I don't know." Will picked up her bag and put it on her shoulder before giving her a deep kiss which she was more than happy to reciprocate. "I'm so sorry about this and I will make it up to you. Tonight, just you and me and I promise no distractions."

"I'll hold you to that." Aria gave him one lass kiss before making sure her vest was zipped up before putting her jacket on.

Will opened the door and saw Oliver standing there in his regular clothes. "Hey. I was hoping we could talk."

"Sure." Will replied as Aria gave him one last cheek kiss before leaving. "Best to do this inside."

Oliver walked into Will's dorm room and saw it was littered with tech and papers all over the place, even some hanging from webbing. "Wow, this is a lot of stuff."

"Well, I make do with discount electronic sales and dumpster diving." Will told him, putting some of his more sensitive stuff away.

"Also, not the most secure to keep it lying around." Oliver pointed out.

"It's a college campus, not the FBI. I don't host parties or invite people who don't already know. I've taken some measures to keep my secret safe. Case in point…" Will activated his security camera to show Oliver the camera he had hidden by the door. "Besides, I'm hiding in plain sight. No one expects a science major college student to be Spider-man and I give them no reason to suspect me. Would you?"

Oliver conceded that point as he wouldn't have suspected Will to be Spider-man if Laurel didn't come to the team with her suspicions. "Fair enough. You're probably wondering why I'm here."

"A little. Come to try and start another fight because that won't end well for you here on campus." Will pointed out.

"I'm not here to fight. I'm here to apologize for my outburst when you visited the bunker." Oliver told him.

"Go on."

"I'll admit that it was wrong for me to say the things I did. I'd like to chock it up to built-up adrenaline from the training session but a lot of that I had been holding in for some time. As it was pointed out I do have some issues with trusting people and unknown factors." Oliver admitted.

"That's an understatement." Will remarked.

"It is but it also comes from my own personal experience doing this. For fives years I've been through things that no one can even imagine. Even after telling some people, there's no way they can understand what I've been through. I've learned some hard and painful memories doing this for so long. I've watched friends die and I've had to kill to survive and all of that has helped me survive to come home. Every time I go out there, I draw on those painful and dark memories every time I pull back my bow so to see you out there doing what you can do and treating everything like a joke it pissed me off. More than I care to admit." Oliver explained.

"That's fair enough and I understand that it wasn't easy to admit that, but you've been judging me by my actions without even getting to know me. I joke and do all that stuff not because I don't take this seriously or I think it's all a joke. If anything, that couldn't be further from the truth. Humor has always been my defense mechanism growing up. Besides my smarts, humor was how I handled a lot of situations. Many of those situations dealt with bullies or assholes so me using it when I'm Spider-man is just me relying on a part of my myself that was always there before I got my powers. Despite everything my powers did for me and changed who I am, I'm still the same person I've always been. If I started changing, that's when you should be concerned." Will explained and Oliver nodded.

"I get that now. And again, I'm sorry for my behavior." Oliver said.

"Thank you. I can see that was a lot to admit. And I'll admit that the smart part of me shouldn't have escalated the situation, but it felt good kicking you ass." Will muttered. "So, what now? Do we hug?"

"I'd rather not." Oliver replied.

"Understood." Will nodded. "So, we're good?"

"Yeah." Oliver assured him when Will's phone went off and he saw it was a number he didn't recognize.

"Hello?"

"Hey, Will. It's Felicity."

"Oh, hey Felicity. I wasn't expecting to hear from you again." Will replied as Oliver wondered why Felicity called him. "Is everything ok?"

"Yeah. I'm just calling to let you know that I'm still digging into Kingsley's scientific investments and narrowing down that list for you, but I've found something else I think you'll like." She told him.

"What is it?"

"I told you I've been digging into his financials and things like that I managed to back trace one money trail to a pretty extensive and illegal smuggling operation in the city. The kind that pays a few million for stolen and illegal cargo. It's a small Port Terminal by the bay that loads and offloads cargo containers." She explained.

"Which could be one of the ways Tombstone and his goons get their products and guns in the city." Will surmised.

"It looks legitimate on the surface and they do handle some actual legitimate cargo, but more illegal cargo goes through there then the legal kind. Granted, the SCPD suspect that the whole operation is just a front for the Bertinelli crime family and they're right as they control it, but I've hacked into their communications over the past decade and it looks like they've paid homage to Hammerhead." She explained.

"Probably as a way to prevent a war in the city. Tombstone's smart and Hammerhead's ruthless. I would guess that the Bertinellis worked with Tombstone to get something rather than risk war and lose everything. Which means taking that down gives me another way to hurt the Big Man and his operation. Good. I was worried that I wouldn't have another way to hurt him with me shutting down his construction fronts. Where is it?" He asked.

"172 Kirby lane but that's not gonna be easy. The terminal is huge and it's going to be crawling with a lot of Bertinelli and Hammerhead goons." Felicity warned him. "That's why the police have never raided the place. Besides being paid off the area is just too big to launch a raid."

"I think I've got a plan for that." Will told her before hanging up and then looking at Oliver. "You up for a small team up."

Line Break xxxxx

Later that night at the shipping port, the Bertinelli guards and capos were hard at work doing their duties. Guards and sentries stuck to their jobs, but the lazy ones relaxed a little and smoked cigarettes or played cards. The workers moved the crates of product or items that the bosses wanted moved to their respective trucks or cars for transport out. Everything from guns, drugs, stolen paintings, and other notable items of contraband were moved and it was worth millions.

Diggle was set up on the rooftop of a building across the street with a sniper rifle so he could scope out the perimeter and provide overwatch backup. After scoping the place out with his binoculars and sniper scope, the place was a literal fortress.

"Dig, how are things from where you are?" Felicity asked, watching over everything from the bunker.

"Quiet but I'm seeing plenty of movement down there. Plenty of guards and I count four snipers looking out at the perimeter." Dig answered.

"Make that five." They heard over the radio and it was Will. "There's a fifth sniper on the top floor of the warehouse by the window."

Dig adjusted his rifle to get a look and there was indeed a sniper inside the warehouse at the top window. "How'd you see him?"

"He's got an infrared laser sight attached to his gun. My eyes can pick up the light. Along with that sniper are about 75 more Bertinelli soldiers armed with guns who move around the warehouse while the workers do their job. Not to mention the dozens of workers who will either flee or help out when shit hits the fan." He added, seeing everything from his position on top of a large cargo lifter. He was perched up on the railing and had a perfect view of the entire area. "These idiots don't even know I'm here. Ha. That's gonna bite them in the butt."

"You do realize that they all have guns and are ready to shoot you if they see you, right?" Felicity pointed out.

"That's if they see me. And I've dealt with worse odd before. Enjoy the show." Will climbed down the cargo lifter and web zipped to the top of a large light pole. Perched up on top, he took out his newly designed web trip mine and threw it onto a nearby crate where it stuck. After making sure it didn't fall off, he took out the four others he had on him and stuck them in some key places. He would have planted more but he only had time to make five. He web zipped over to a large cargo crate stack by the water which was acting as a makeshift lookout post for the sniper at the south quadrant. Shouldering a heavy caliber sniper rifle, he looked out around the bay and nearby area to keep an eye on any signs of theft or people who shouldn't be where they are.

The guard took a moment to walk over to his chair and grab his thermos of hot coffee when a web latched onto his back and yanked him backward where he got a sneaker to the face. Knocked unconscious, his body was quietly placed down and webbed in place, so he wasn't moving anytime soon. Some workers were carrying boxes of illegal goods over to some cars only for several strands of webbing to yank them and the boxes into the air where they were taken out of sight. The sniper over by the east quadrant which was by the gates/fence to the main road kept a diligent watch on everything when he was snatched up into the air. Grunts and the sounds of punching was heard before he was lowered back to the ground in a web cocoon with a bent sniper rifle.

The sniper at the west quadrant noticed the guy at the south quadrant wasn't there so he pulled out his radio only to get webbing on his face and yanked down where his head met the ground of the perch he was on. The north quadrant sniper was perched up on the roof of the warehouse. He looked through the scope of his rifle to check the perimeter when he heard a weird thwip sound. Then a strand of webbing latched itself onto the gun and then whacked him in the face, knocking him out.

Dig watched through his binoculars as Spider-man took out the four snipers along with some other Bertinelli men with efficiency and stealth. This wasn't his first time dealing with this kind of situation and he clearly knew what he was doing. After taking out the sniper on the roof of the warehouse, he webbed him to the roof before quietly moving over and crawling down the side of the building as he made his way over to the large window which he crawled through. He couldn't see exactly what was happening but did see the shadow figure of the fifth sniper moving around when another figure leapt on him from behind and took him out. Said figure then quickly took out a few more people inside the warehouse before Spider-man crawled back out the same window.

"Ok, all snipers are dealt with along with a few gunmen and no one has been alert. You can wonder in amazement later." He quipped.

"Nicely done but there are still a lot of bad guys with guns walking around down there." Felicity pointed out.

"Which is why I'm gonna thin the ranks. Oliver and Roy will know when to come in. Now sit back and enjoy the show." He replied, crawling along the side of the warehouse before webbing two goons and yanking them into the air. After some punches to the face, they were webbed to the side of the warehouse and taken out of commission. He then web zipped to the top of a light pole and quickly web snatched the two guards below him. The webbing ensnared their bodies before they were wrapped up tight and hung upside down from the pole. It wouldn't have been long before they were discovered so it was time to take out as many as he could before the alarm was sounded.

One worker walked over to the trash to throw away a water bottle when he was grabbed from behind and knocked unconscious before his body was hidden away from sight. Two guards noticed one of the workers disappear from the trash, so they walked over to see what was going on. Spider-man landed behind them and quickly closed the distance, leaping at them and grabbing them by their heads and slamming them onto the pavement. That knocked them out cold and he webbed them up before firing some impact webbing behind him and ensnaring a guard. One web zip later and he took out said guard with a flying knee to the face. That guard flew through the air and crashed into a group, knocking them all down like bowling pins. That alerted everyone that something was going happen.

One of the guards rushed over and saw Spider-man gainer kick one of his friends in the head which sent him flying back so he pulled out his radio. "IT'S SPIDER-MAN!"

Said guard got the radio and his hand webbed to his face before Spider-man came flying in with a flying kick to the chest that sent him crashing into a light pole. "That's right! Come one, come all! Step right up fellas! I've got enough webbing for all of you!"

He backflipped into the air to avoid some gunfire and shot two lines of webbing at two guards. When he landed, he spun the goons like tops before letting go which sent them hurling into a group and toppling them over like bowling pins only it hurt…a lot. Before they mangle of men could get back up, Spider-man threw a web bomb which stuck them together like dirt to chewing gum. More guards rushed over as several of them ran past the web trip mines which activated. The mines shot out a glob of webbing, trapping nearby guards. He originally wanted the trip mines to shot out a web line and pull its target close but for now it was just a web grenade he could plant onto surfaces. It was a prototype.

Seeing the mangle web mass of tangled limbs that was webbed up guards, he tightened his right fist and concentrated his venom shock, so it began sparking with orange bioelectricity. He then leapt forward and threw out a venom punch to the web tied goons which sent them flying away. The bioelectricity added force like a cannon, so the guards not only flew through the air but were encased with the venom shock. The guards who hit other people transferred the shock, so they were taken out of commission and those that didn't touch anyone else just hit the ground or nearby containers and walls with a thud. That took out a good twenty guards.

"Wow, he wasn't kidding when he said this was a show." Felicity stated, watching everything from the security cameras.

"Yeah." Dig added, looking through everything from his sniper scope. "Oliver, you've got an opening by the main gate."

"We're on it."

Dig watched as two of the guards by the main gate were hit with arrows and knocked down as two motorcycles revved up and came through. Oliver fired arrow after arrow from his bike, taking down several more Bertinelli men before he swerved to a stop which ended up with him hitting another goon with his bike. Oliver got off his bike and quickly hit a charging goon with a right cross before doing a leg sweep and then an axe kick to his gut before turning around and taking out another gunmen with a quick arrow shot. Roy got off his bike and fired an arrow in the leg of another bad guy before whacking another guy in the face with his bow before throwing him to the ground and then kicking him in the face. Oliver bashed another Bertinelli enforcer in the face with his bow before spinning around into a hook kick and then a wide bow swing that took out two more workers who tried to rush him. He took out three arrows and fired them at once, disarming two gunmen. They were then snagged by webbing and hurled through the air where they landed on their friends.

Will flipped through the air and fired a barrage of web bullets as he did, hitting several of Bertinelli's men allowing Oliver and Roy to take them down while they were staggered. When he landed on the ground, he quickly backflipped into the air to avoid a crowbar to the back. Said goon who tried to take a crowbar to his head tried again when Spider-man landed on the ground but that wasn't going to work. He brought the crowbar down but Spider-man sidestepped it and then kicked the crowbar back into the thug's face, so he hit himself in the nose. Then he got jumping back kick to the chest which sent him flying away only for a web to snag him on the chest and then thrown into a trash can. Two guards rushed him with pipes, but he flipped over them and punched them both in the head before landing in a crouch and spinning into a leg sweep that knocked them both onto their asses. He used their bodies as springboards and twisted through the air before web pulling them both to him where they got dropkicked and sent crashing into a cargo loader.

"More bad guys. I don't suppose we can sort this out with some pie? I hear pie fixes everything." He uppercut one thug into the and air and dropkicked him before web zipping to the ground where he landed feet first into the gut on a guard and slid on the ground like on a skateboard. After sliding on the ground for a bit, he jumped and spun through the air and landing a spinning corkscrew kick to the head of another guard before landing on the ground and then landing a spinning hook kick on a worker. His spider-sense went off and he rolled to the side to avoid a pistol bullet before web zipping to the gunman and taking him out with a flying kick to the face.

Oliver disarmed another enforcer, broke his arm and then Sparta-kicked him in the chest where Spider-man flipped over him, grabbed him by the shoulders and then hurled him through the air. He then ducked under a roundhouse kick and slid between the legs of another enforcer before dropkicking him over to Oliver who took him to the ground with a hip throw and then a whack from his bow. Roy had sheathed his bow and was using his escrima sticks to wail down the Bertinelli men. He went through his quick strikes and took down two enforcers with ease when a third charged at him from behind only for a web to snag him, allowing Roy to turn and take him out.

The last bodyguard saw they were losing so he ran to the exit only for Spider-man to swing by and take him out with a flying headscissor throw that slammed his head to the ground.

"And that's the last of them. Nicely done." Will told the archers.

"Wow, I didn't think that it would actually work but yeah, nicely done." Felicity told him. "If you get me some of their phones, I might be able to hack into them and get some more information.

"You two take care of that and get anything else that could be useful. I'll take care of the cleanup." Will told them as he began piling up the bodies and tying them up with webbing while Roy and Oliver went into the warehouse to get any info they could find and use their USB plug-ins to allow Felicity access.

Once they were done, the SCPD were called and the two officers who arrived saw dozens of men tied up with their guns piled up in a pile along with a note.

Here are members of the Bertinelli crime family and their illegal operations at this port. Take care and tell the Mayor your welcome.

-Your friendly Neighbor and Spectacular Spider-man.

Soon more officers, a paramedic team, CSU teams, and multiple police buses were called and began processing all of the Bertinelli men along with the illegal goods they had in the shipping yard. News crews soon showed up to break the story and with such a huge smuggling operation unveiled and broken it brought some members of the city leadership like the police commissioner and of course Captain Lance.

Detective Watanabe was there, supervising the CSU teams and making sure that everything was cataloged and none of the bad officers got any funny ideas. Her impressive career and work with Captain Lance made her one of the highest ranking detectives and she was on her way to a promotion to lieutenant. Yuri wasn't expecting Spider-man to take on the Bertinelli's so when she had a moment, she slipped away to give him a call.

"Hey, Yuri. Like my present?"

"Definitely an interesting one, that's for sure. So, you're starting to branch out and taking on the other crime families of Starling?" She asked.

"Sort of. I made a new friend who did some snooping and found out that Kingsley along with Tombstone have been getting some of their illegal money from this shipping yard owned by the Bertinelli's. They pay the Big Man a share and no open war is declared and things can go about peacefully. Figured it'd be a nice way to keep the pressure up." Will told her.

"Wow, that's some friend. And any chance we can keep up the pressure is a good move. Nicely done." She told him. "But I couldn't help but notice some red and green arrows littered throughout the place. You and the Arrow teaming up now?"

"Sort of. We had the same objective and might again in the future but I think I've already got my team. Don't worry, Yuri. You're not getting rid of me that easily. Let me know if the bad guys give you any info on Tombstone or Hammerhead. I'll talk to you tomorrow." He hung up and Yuri put her phone away. She watched as the Police commissioner got his ten minutes of fame in front of the cameras, taking credit for everything and the huge bust at the docks but everyone knew that was crap. The reporters and cameras had seen the webbing and arrows around the place so they knew it was the work of Spider-man and the Arrow.

Captain Lance walked over to Yuri and noticed where she was looking. "The police commissioner only ever comes out for high profile cases to get all the credit while we're in the muck day in and day out."

"Yeah, Nudocerdo is a ladder climber. Anyways, no one believes his story. But still, this is a huge win. Spider-man?" He asked and she nodded.

"Turns out that the Bertinelli's were paying protection money to Tombstone. We were wrong, Captain. He's got his hands not just in the regular criminals but the families as well. This goes deep. And I wouldn't put it past him if he had some cops keeping an eye out on us." She told him, looking around at some of the uniformed officers.

"Yeah, me neither. Lucky for us, we've got an ace up our sleeve." Lance replied as they got to work.

Oliver, Roy, and Diggle returned to the bunker after taking down the Bertinelli shipping terminal. It was already breaking big news and from what she was able to tell from the SCPD's organized crime unit, the Bertinelli's were closing ranks and this loss of income would hit them hard.

"Nicely done out there." Felicity told them as Oliver and Roy put their bows on their racks. "Taking out that shipping terminal definitely puts the screws to the Bertinelli family. Another win for the good guys."

"Didn't think that everything would have gone as easily as it did." Dig commented. "Seeing Will in action is one thing but he definitely was use to taking on large groups like that. It's like he knew what was gonna happen and when to do what."

"Yeah, I saw him knowing when to dodge and avoid gunfire. I didn't think that was possible. It was like he had eyes on the back of his head." Roy added.

"We don't know the full scope of what his powers are. Quite frankly, we don't know all of what he can do but he does. And you were right, Dig. Anyone else with his powers would be a serious threat but he's a good kid. He knows what he's doing." Oliver said causing Felicity to smile and Dig to do a double-take.

"Aw, look at that. Oliver can learn. He's all grown up now." She joked, causing Dig and Roy to chuckle and Oliver to adopt a small smirk. "So, does that mean Spider-man is officially part of Team Arrow or are we part of Team Spider-man?"

"I don't think that's the case, Felicity. Will's been doing his own thing for a while and he said that he's more comfortable keep things the way they are. If he ever needs our help then he said he'd know how to reach us and if we ever need his help then we just have to call." Oliver answered.

"So, you're really ok with him out there?" Dig asked and Oliver nodded.

"I wouldn't have agreed to helping him tonight if I weren't. I don't trust people easily but I'm learning." Oliver admitted and that was good for everyone.

"Where is Will? I thought he would have wanted to talk about what happened tonight?" Felicity asked.

"He left. Said he had something to take care of. But he did say that if you found something to just call him." Roy told her.

"Huh. Wonder where he went to." Dig said.

With Will, he had arrived back on campus after making a quick stop for flowers and some chocolate. He took extra care to make sure he wasn't seen as he decided to speed things up by heading straight to his dorm room rather than going to his set up change point behind the science building. Using his night vision and spider-sense, he kept an eye out for anyone looking his way as he climbed down the side of his dorm building and entered through the window.

Once he was in, he quickly closed and locked the window along with closing the blinds before he began taking off his suit and putting it away. He rushed into the shower and cleaned himself as fast as humanely possible, taking the quickest shower he ever had. He walked back into his room only in his sweatpants so his defined and chiseled torso and upper body was on display. His eight pack was still as perfect since he first got his powers. He had a towel wrapped around his neck and dried his hair when he saw Aria sitting on his bed, smelling the flowers he bought her.

"Nice shower?" She asked.

"Refreshing. Nothing better after taking down some bad guys like a good shower but enough about that. I promised you no distractions tonight, just you and me." He told her when he noticed she was wearing a nice black overcoat. "That's a nice coat but weren't you cold?"

"I was fine. I rushed here." She stood up from the bed and untied her coat before brushing it off her shoulders to show she was wearing a matching set of red lingerie. Aria had a smirk on her face as she saw the dumbstruck expression on Will's face. "Glad I went with red."

"Well, it's starting to become my color." He said as she walked over and kissed him. He happily kissed back as their kissing began to get heated and playful. She reached her hands up his arms as he reached down and picked her up, causing her to wrap her legs around him. Will, without breaking his kiss with Aria, took the towel off his shoulders and then stuck his leg out to close his door behind him before taking her to the bed. Suffice to say…tonight was a big win for him both as Spider-man and as Will Detmer.

Line Break xxxxx

Will walked out of his afternoon class the next day with a big smile on his face and given what happened last night he had a reason to be so happy. After smoothing things out with Oliver and his team and then taking down the Bertinelli shipping yard which also hit Tombstone's pocket so that was a win-win. And then he spent the night with Aria and well…he didn't need to say anymore on that.

He walked out of the science building and into the main quad with a smile on his face as he took in the fresh fall air. The leaves had changed color, the weather was turning cold, the NCAA and NFL games were reaching their peaks, Pumpkin Spice was back, and Thanksgiving was coming up but with the end of the semester came final projects and exams. He kept his grades up and he was still one of the smartest students in the entire school but being Spider-man did have it's drawbacks. Aside from being shot at and criminals wanting to kill him, the time it did take away from his studies and work was one such thing. He put in his fair share of late assignments and B grades on tests for classes that weren't science focused and he needed just to fulfill his graduation requirements. Like his Western Literature and Philosophy classes, or his Humanities requirements. He could have easily scored A's but between being a student, his work for his double major in physics and engineering with the minor in chemistry and biology, work for Doctor Connors, and being Spider-man…something had to give.

His GPA was still high but for those not in the know, it just looked like Will didn't care about anything other than his science courses. Granted, that was partially true but he had enough on his plate between all his physics assignments and working with Doctor Connors which would only get more intense with them working at Palmer Tech. That commute was going to be a pain in the butt. But he put that in the back of his head as he focused back on the crisp fall air and faint aroma of Pumpkin Spice Lattes coming from the campus's Starbucks.

He took a walk into the quad and saw Emily talking with some of her teammates on the swim team when she saw him. She said goodbye and walked over when she noticed how happy he was. "Someone's in a good mood."

"I am. Is that a crime?" Will asked.

"No. It's nice to see you in a good mood. God knows you've had it tougher than anyone here." Emily said as the two walked through campus. "Aria couldn't stop smiling when I saw her. Glad to know things went well."

"As awkward as I thought this conversation would be, it's worse." Will joked causing Emily to laugh. "Aria and I are in a great place. Last night was…magical. I don't have any words to describe it."

"She didn't either. But if you and she are going to continue your little escapades, do it in your room." Emily told him.

"Duly noted." He replied, causing Emily to chuckle. "So, any word on if your dad is gonna be able to get off for Thanksgiving?"

"Yeah, actually and he is. I've already got a ticket to head back for break. I'm really excited to see him again."

"Good, I'm glad." Will told her. "But we're still on for the Friendsgiving this weekend, right?"

"Of course. I've already got everything set up and Spencer has assured us that her parents will be gone that weekend so we'll be set." Emily said as they saw Spencer walk out of the Bursar's office when she saw them. "Hey, we were just talking about Friendsgiving. Are we still on for this weekend?"

"Yeah, my parents are for sure going to be gone and last I checked Melissa and Ian had plans so we have the Condo to ourselves. Toby is even driving over to spend the weekend." Spencer told them.

"Excellent. Originally I was thinking that I could finagle my Spider-man heroism and get an apple pie from the Lizardo Bakery but then it came to me that it wouldn't be on part with the whole great power great responsibility thing so I'll just bake one." Will said only for Spencer and Emily to share a look of worry. "What, you think I can't bake a pie?"

"No, we know you can't bake a pie because we taste tested the last one you made and got food poisoning." Emily pointed out.

"Hey, that wasn't my fault. How was I supposed to know the eggs went bad? They smelled fine and FYI, I ate the pie too and I felt great." He told them.

"Yeah, but your powers let you heal quickly so you don't get a vote. It'd be safer to just buy a pie." Spencer said when they saw Aria. She smiled and rushed over before jumping into Will's arms. He spun her around after catching her and the two shared a quick kiss.

"Hey, beautiful. I missed you." He said, giving her another kiss.

"Missed you more." Aria whispered, giving him another more passionate kiss. "So, what were you guys talking about?"

"Friendsgiving this weekend." Will told her.

"And how Will said he planned to bake a pie." Emily added and they saw Aria's look of momentary horror.

"Oh my god, fine. I get it. I'll buy a pie." He relented.

"Oh, thank god. I love you Will but my stomach was killing me for a long time after that." Aria told him causing Emily and Spencer to laugh while Will pouted.

They went to the Starbucks to get some coffee and sit around for a bit as they planned future study sessions. With the end of the semester approaching, Will and Spencer would be helping Aria and Emily studying. Will took a sip of coffee as he held Aria's right hand in his left hand. She smiled and gave him a quick kiss before leaning on his shoulder. As they talked and hung out, he noticed a lot of the passing male students, most of whom were athletes or socially more popular than him casting glances at their table. He picked up bits of their conversations and it was mostly about how he was hanging out with three of the hottest girls on campus. Many of them had tried hooking up with Aria, Emily, or Spencer only to be shut down on multiple occasions and it baffled them how Will was able to do what they couldn't.

He honestly chuckled to himself as he sipped his coffee when he saw Ian walk by and many of the athletes got buddy-buddy with him like he was one of their own. Spencer just let out a sigh of disgust as she drank her coffee. Will noticed Ian's kind of flirtatious and lecherous leers at some of the passing female students that resembled the horndog fraternity brothers on campus and managed to pick up his conversation. One of the students was talking to Ian about the girls and how he wanted to hook up with Emily, thinking he could turn her and he laughed. Ian gave the dude some pickup lines and told him to go over there and if the nerd, who he guessed he was, gave him any trouble then he was there to back him up. Will tightened his fist and was ready to break the dude's neck as he walked over.

"Hey, Emily. You're looking good today." He smiled and she just scoffed. "Are you busy tonight? I was thinking maybe we could go out into the city."

"Sorry, but I have plans." She told him only for the guy to get closer.

"Come on. I can show you a good time." He got close and put his hand on her shoulder.

"I'd be careful if I were you, dude." Will warned him.

"What, Detmer? You grew a spine all of a sudden. What? One girl isn't enough for you?" He asked causing the girls to scoff.

"Ok, douchebag." Spencer said to him.

"I'm not threatening you, dude but if you don't back off and learn some manners, you're gonna get your ass kicked." Will added only for the guy to grab Emily's hand.

"Oh, and let me guess, you're gonna do it?" He asked only for Emily to back her chair into his stomach, grab his arm and throw him to the ground with a loud thud. Everyone nearby watched and let out oohs in response with everyone laughing at him while Aria, Spencer, Emily, and Will smirked at him.

"No, I was gonna say she was gonna kick your ass." Will told him as the dude groaned in pain. He got the wind knocked out of him from the throw.

"Next time, don't touch someone without their permission. And I definitely didn't give you mine." Emily told him as Ian walked over.

"Whoa, Emily that was uncalled for." Ian told her.

"Are you serious, Ian?" Spencer asked.

"I'm sorry but as a professor I'm gonna have to report this incident." Ian said.

"Yeah, but if anything, it'll be against him, right?" Will asked. "Not only did everyone here see what happened and it was justifiable self-defense, you don't actually think you're gonna be able to get her in trouble for defending herself. That's not only stupid but makes you look bad for defending a harassing student but then again I imagine you sided with the athletes so go ahead and report this but know that it won't end well for you."

"Is that a threat?" Ian asked as Will stood up and walked over to him.

"A promise. If you try and use this incident to get Emily in danger then I promise that your career here won't be a good one." Will warned him. Ian just scoffed and grabbed his arm only for Will to grab his wrist and squeeze. Ian tenses up a bit as he tried to pull free but Will didn't let up and tightened his grip. Ian's expression of confidence gave one to shock and worry only for Will to smile and tighten his grip so he definitely bruised Ian's wrist. He then let go and held up his phone. "Miracle of modern technology. I recorded the whole thing so if you're gonna get Emily in trouble then it's only fair that whole story is told. And I have a good relationship with Dr. Connors who is on the board for the university's disciplinary committee. I'm his assistant after all. I'd take a step back and think it over again because it probably won't be good for you."

All the students who had watched everything were tense with anticipation as Ian saw this wasn't something he could win so he picked up the student who harassed Emily and led him away along with his friends. The other students clapped and cheered as Emily won the day.

"I can't believe that he's gonna be my brother-in-law." Spencer commented.

"It's not like you were close to begin with." Will pointed out. "Make sure you have your bracelets on incase those idiots get any funny ideas."

"We never take them off." Aria assured him.

"Come on. Let's go into the city. I could use a Big Belly Burger." Will said as they left campus and caught the next bus into the city.

They managed to get a booth at Big Belly Burger and enjoyed some fries with their milkshakes as another dipping option to ketchup and mayo. When Will first did that in front of the girls they thought he was crazy but they're converts now. He got up and went to the ketchup table to get some more napkins, making sure to step over the spilt soda that was being cleaned up by an employee when he saw Thea walk in and her heel slipped on the soda. She would have fallen on her back only for Will to reach out and grab her hand, catching her mid-fall before pulling her back to her feet.

"Whoa. Thanks." She said only for Will to smile.

"Don't mention it. As someone's who's fallen on his tailbone enough times, it hurts." He joked and that earned a chuckle.

"Thanks, again Will. Even though it would have been better to let me fall." She told him only for Will to sigh.

"For the hundredth time, Thea you don't need to apologize to me anymore. I forgive you, I'm over it, it's in the past and we can forget about it. If anything, bringing it up again just makes it worse." Will told her. "I'm fine, believe me."

"Ok." Thea fixed her purse as the two moved away from the wet zone.

"How about you join us?" Will pointed to his table where Emily, Aria, and Spencer were looking at them. "We're just hanging out and talking. I insist."

"Ok." Thea smiled and walked over to place her order as Will walked back to the table with napkins.

"Everything ok?" Spencer asked.

"Yeah. I asked her to join us and before any of you try to intimidate her again, just know like I've said a thousand times, I'm over it. We can start anew so play nice." Will told them before looking at Aria and giving her a bop on the nose and then a quick kiss. "That goes double for you."

"Ok, fine." Aria relented as she ate a French Fry when Thea walked over. "Hey."

"Hey." She sat down and there was a moment of awkward silence which was palpable so Will decided to break it.

"So, Thea how goes Verdant? I don't know many nightclub owners who are our age. It's got to be tough." Will said.

"It has its challenges but I think it's getting back on its feet. It's a lot better then when my brother ran the club. A little less former playboy and more profitable nightclub." She joked, earning a chuckle.

"I'm surprised you can run a club. Don't you have to be 21?" Spencer asked.

"No, just to drink in it but not to run it." Thea pointed out.

"Can't imagine your brother was happy his nightclub was under new management." Will pointed out.

"True but I did turn his hobby into something profitable. Besides, the usual earnings from the nightclub we have rented out our space before." Thea told them and that gave him an idea.

"I don't suppose you still rent out the space to perhaps, college students or departments?" He wondered.

"I can certainly think about it. Why? Having a party?" She wondered.

"No, but I can't help but think that a popular nightclub might be a great location for a fashion show." Will pointed out.

"Fashion show?" Thea was confused.

"Aria's design class is hosting a charitable fashion show with designs the students have done. Aria's one of the designers." Will told her.

"Wow, that's amazing." Thea said and Aria smiled.

"Thanks." She replied.

"Due to some scheduling conflicts, it was supposed to be this semester but got pushed back to the next one. I imagine they would have held this someplace on campus in one of the auditoriums but a nightclub just screams fashion show. And it could be a bigger way to raise more money." Will pointed out.

"Well, I'm more than happy to have Verdant host the event if you want." Thea promised.

"Ok. I'll talk to my professor and see what she says." Aria said.

"Any chance I can see some of the designs?" Thea asked and Aria did have her sketchbook so she took it out and showed her. Things after that were smooth sailing and he felt that things were moving in a good direction. Just four girls and a guy hanging out and talking like normal teenagers except that one of them is a masked vigilante/superhero so there's that.

They hung out at Big Belly Burger for a few hours before Thea needed to head out but they parted on good terms. There wasn't any more animosity and it seemed as though Thea was becoming part of the friend group. Time would tell but things were in the right direction. The girls headed back to campus while Will headed to the hospital to drop in on his mom with dinner. He walked into the hospital and passed the orderlies and nurses before making his way to his mom's office. The door was slightly open so he opened and walked in to see his mom and Captain Lance close together and being rather flirty like teenagers.

"Mom?"

"Will?" May and Quentin quickly separated.

"I am never going to be unable to see this." Will said to himself.

"I didn't know you were coming." May said as she fixed her hair and Quentin made sure his jacket was presentable.

"I wanted to surprise you with dinner but it turns out I get the surprise." He joked.

"Uh, you know what? I better go. I'll see you later, May." Quentin gave her a quick hug since her son was in the room and walked to the door. "Uh, listen. Laurel doesn't know…"

"Yeah, I'm gonna go swinging through the city and bash into a building so I don't know either." Will told him.

"All right. Yeah, ok." Quentin left soon after that.

Will took a moment to bring himself together and swallowed the lump in his throat. "How long has this been going on?"

"Not long. We've been on a few lunch dates, met up for some really nice talks and we went on a dinner date two days ago." She told him and he nodded.

"Ah…right." Will managed to say.

"Look, Will I don't want you to think less of me or your father—"

"Mom, stop." Will stopped her. "It's ok. I'm fine."

"You are?" She asked.

"Well, not with the fact that I saw my mom acting like a flirty teenager and I'll probably be seeing that in my sleep for the foreseeable future." Will shivered a bit and shook his head to get on track. "But mom…you've been there for me ever since dad died. It's just been us and you've put everything on hold for me to help me get where I am. I wouldn't be the man…or the hero I am without you. You've put your life on pause long enough…if Captain Lance makes you happy then I'm happy for you."

May smiled as she walked around her desk and hugged him close. "I love you."

"I love you too, mom." Will said back as they separated from the hug. "I'll just make sure I call ahead in the future so I don't walk in on something a little more PG-13 or R-rated. My brain would not be able to recover from that."

"Understood." She replied as Will dropped off her dinner and left. Suffice to say that swinging through the city that night was not only to keep the people safe but to get his mind off of what he just witnessed.

He swung through the city and did a patrol, stopping some attempted robberies, muggings, and general criminal behavior but he also helped some kids get a cat out of a tree along with helping a father fix a flat tire on his car and helping at a car accident on the bridge. You always got to help the little guy.

He swung around the side of a building and down the street when his earpiece rang. "Hello?"

"Spider-man, we've got a strange homicide that I think you'll want to see. Meet me in the alley on Bleaker street." Yuri told him.

"On my way." Will jumped into the air and with a spin and fired a web at a nearby building, turning down another street to go meet Yuri.

Detective Watanabe had the entire alley blocked off as she was the first on the scene and did her assessment of the area and the body. She heard a thwipping sound and soon Spiderman lowered himself into the alley upside down via a web. "Hey, Yuri. Got here as fast as I could. What's wrong?"

"Homicide. Victim is Kai Wu, investment banker here in Starling. No family, no children, not so much as a blemish on his record. Normally, that wouldn't raise any red flags but the murder weapon did." Yuri held up the bagged weapon which was a metal boomerang. "Look familiar?"

"Unfortunately, it does. Captain Boomerang is back in town." Will dropped down to the ground and took a look at the boomerang and then at the victim. "Doesn't make sense. If ARGUS wanted me captured then they wouldn't have done it this way."

"We're assuming it's ARGUS but what if it's not? Maybe the boomerang killer escaped and decided to go on a killing spree?" Yuri postulated. "But why him?"

"I don't know. Thanks for the heads up, Yuri. Stay close to Captain Lance. Until we learn otherwise, we have to assume this is ARGUS. I'll go see if I can get a lead." Will super jumped up into the air and swung through the city before dialing another number on his phone. "Oliver, it's me. We need to talk."

It was the weekend before Thanksgiving which meant the city was busy as it was preparing for the upcoming holiday. A lot of food was bought at grocery stores, trips were planned and upcoming Black Friday sales got shopaholics salivating. It was no different for Will who was doing double duty in keeping Starling safe as Oliver, Felicity, and Diggle left for Central City.

After finding the body dropped by Captain Boomerang, Will met with Oliver and the others to tell them what happened. Given how the last time they encountered Captain Boomerang involved seven other supervillains, their first thought was that ARGUS had set another trap but Diggle was able to shake loose a lead that ARGUS wasn't after him. Turns out his ex-wife worked for ARGUS which he was a little apprehensive about but Dig swore he didn't say anything about Spider-man. With the possible ARGUS lead dead, they focused on the boomerang and Will managed to get Captain Lance to slip it to him on the promise he would return it which he would. Felicity analyzed the boomerang and found it had traces of Iron Oxide probably from the raw material used to make it which led them to Central City which has the highest concentration of Iron Oxide in the country. If they could find the exact mill the Iron Oxide came from, they could then track down where it was sent and find Captain Boomerang so they took a trip to Central City while he stayed behind with Roy to watch the city. Hopefully, they would find a lead soon.

He swung through the city after doing a patrol and so far, he had stopped two attempted car jackings along with a drug deal before helping Roy take down some more Los Halcones activity. Felicity called to check in with Roy and said they were tracking down a lead and would be back soon. Will nose dived through the air before firing a web and swinging low to the ground as nearby pedestrians cheered his name or took photos.

"Hello, citizens! Hope you're staying safe and warm this time of year!" He declared as he let go of the web and ran along the side of a building. The civilians on the sidewalk cheered his name as he jumped off the building and flipped through the air before swinging away. "Don't worry, Starling! I'll do my best to keep you safe this Thanksgiving! Eat plenty of turkey and pie! And watch the Thanksgiving day parade!"

He swung into the air and did several backflip/moonsaults for flourish before firing a web and making a quick turn around the corner of a building. After some more swinging, he dropped down in the same alley he hid his backpack that was holding his clothes. After making sure no one was looking his way, he changed into some nice dress pants, shoes, a white button-up with a blue sports jackets and joined the normal pedestrian traffic with no one any the wiser about him being Spider-man.

He rejoined the civilian traffic because he was going to pick up the pies for the Friendsgiving before heading over. He had called in an order two days ago at Lozardo's Bakery for Friendsgiving and for Thanksgiving as well. Lozardo's was one of the best bakeries in the city and their pies were good. There was a line he had to wait on since it was a Saturday but he was fine with that. You'd think that Spider-man waiting in line at a bakery was the start of a funny joke but it was a reality as he texted the girls that he was getting the pies.

After waiting in the line for about twenty minutes, he walked out of the bakery with the two pies in his arms along with a bag of eclairs and donuts that he would drop off to his mom and Yuri, respectively. He walked down the street to catch a bus to the precinct with a smile on his face when a black Sedan swerved onto the main street and with two cop cars chasing after it. Inside the sedan were a trio of robbers who just knocked over a bank and were making their escape with the cops chasing after them. The driver of the Sedan, bashed into nearby cars and one ended up swerving to the sidewalk right at him. Will's spider-sense went off and he quickly backflipped into the air to avoid getting hit while everyone else managed to move out of the way as well. Will backflipped in the air before landing in a crouch with the pies and bags of baked goods in his arms and not a hair harmed on his head.

"Whoa!" He heard and turned to see two kids staring at him in amazement. "How'd you do that?"

Will stood up and realized he kind of messed up. "Uh, work out. Get plenty of rest. You know, eat your green vegetables."

The kids smiled in amazement. "That's what my mom is always saying. I just never actually believed her."

"Believe her, kid. Believer her." Will waved goodbye and quickly raced down the street where he ducked into an empty alley and quickly changed back into Spider-man, leaving his pies, bags of baked goods, and backpack to go chase after the criminals.

The driver sped the car down the street as his two associates leaned out and fired at the cops. The lead car swerved as the hood and windshield was riddled with bullets when one of the bullets hit the left front tire, deflating it. The officer did his best to keep the car steady but he ended up swerved to the sidewalk. He nearly hit some pedestrians only for Spider-man to drop down in front and slam the car to a stop, saving them from getting run over. The officers inside were a little hurt but their airbags had gone off, saving them from serious injuries.

"Everyone ok?" Spider-man asked the pedestrians and they nodded, cheering for him as he walked over to check on the officers. "Hey, are you two all right?"

"Yeah. Thanks, Spider-man." The driver said, a little banged up with a small cut on his forehead but grateful to be alive and no one injured.

"We're good. Go get those guys." The other officer told him.

"I'm on it." Spider-man super jumped and swung after the robbers. He swung around the side of a building and web zipped to a nearby light pole which he point launched off for more speed before web zipping to the roof of the sedan.

One of the robbers leaned out to shoot him only to get a sneaker to the face, his body webbed up and then yanked out of the car.

"Oh, that is so rude!" Spider-man quipped as he yanked out the other robber and webbed him to a traffic light. For the driver he flipped off the roof of the car and smashed through the passenger side window, kicking the driver out of his seat, and sending him crashing onto to the ground. The car swerved to the left and ended up flipping but Spider-man caught the car and dropped it back down. The driver managed to get back to his feet only for Spider-man to take him out with a flying headscissor takedown and then webbed him to the ground. "Hopefully, that will teach you guys about common decency and manners. If you actually put this much effort into real jobs then you could avoid going to jail and the beatdowns that send you there."

He jumped into the air and swung away just as the police arrived to arrest the robbers and secure the money they stole. On the balcony of one of the fancy condos in Starling, out walked a man wearing jeans and a sweater to take a smoke when he noticed the two pastry boxes and two bags of delicious smelling goodies. He walked over to take a look and once he was the Lozardo's logo he was intrigued and excited yet confused how they ended up on the balcony. He opened up one of the bags and once he got the smell of the fresh baked apple cider cinnamon donut, his confusion was pushed to the side as he took out a donut. That's when Spider-man swung by and took the pies and pastry bags back as he swung around the side of the building and landed across the street.

"Huh." The guy shrugged as he opened his mouth to take a bite when the donut was taken away by a web, leaving the guy with nothing except a craving for apple cider cinnamon donuts so he left to get some.

At the SCPD, Yuri was at her desk catching up on some paperwork when she saw a uniformed officer walk over with a pastry bag from Lozardo's and hand it to her. "What's this?"

"Front desk said someone named Will came and dropped it off for you. Happy Thanksgiving gift. Mind if I get one?" He asked as Yuri opened the bag and smelled the donuts.

"Sure." Yuri told him and he took one of the donuts. Her phone got a text from Will with a message.

Went to Lozardo's for pie and picked up a few extra goodies. Feel free to share them with the others and Captain Lance. Let me know if something comes up. I'll be at a Friendsgiving but if something serious comes up just text me.

Yuri smiled as she took one of the donuts for herself before handing out the extras to some friends with one for Captain Lance. May was at the hospital doing some work and got a bag of eclairs dropped off and a nice text from Will to make her day. After that, he made his way over to the building where Spencer's parents Condo was and took the elevator up. He knocked on the door and walked in to see Aria and Emily in the kitchen while Spencer and Toby helped set the table.

"Hey, everyone!" Will walked in as Aria walked over and gave him a hug and quick kiss. Spencer was wearing a black front keyhole peplum halter top with a matching pair of pants and heels. Aria had on a black dress with a high neck and pink ruffled skirt, heels, and pair of matching earrings. Emily was wearing a black and white waistcoat with a pair of black leggings and boots. "Sorry, I'm a little late. There was a line at Lozardo's but I got the pies."

"Thanks god. My stomach could not handle another food poisoning." Spencer told him, earning laughter from Emily and Aria while getting a eye roll from Will.

"Ha-ha." Will gave Aria another kiss on the cheek before placing the pies on the counter. "Hey, Toby. How was the car ride?"

"Smooth. And it'll be nice to spend some time with Spencer." He said, giving Spencer a quick kiss. She smiled and gave him another kiss when she saw the smiles Will, Aria, and Emily were giving her.

"Take a picture, you three. It'll last longer." She joked as they finished setting up while the food was getting ready. Will pulled out some bread rolls from the oven and then put the pies in to heat up. They set up the table with the food they had and enjoyed their little Friendsgiving. It was a nice break from the regular hero work and given that Emily and Aria would be leaving soon for Thanksgiving break this was their little own mock Thanksgiving. That night he was able to spend with his friends and girlfriend as the city was quiet. No incidents or accidents that needed his attention which was awesome.

Come Monday, Oliver and the others returned from their trip with a lead on the boomerang and Iron Oxide residue. Will was able to return the boomerang which was good to save Yuri from getting into trouble. They used the Palmer Tech and STAR Labs satellites to track the Iron Oxide to a innocent looking two-story house in the suburbs south of the city. The house was foreclosed by the bank so there was no owner but judging by city energy grid the power had been on recently. Later that night, Will, Oliver, and Roy went to the house with Diggle set up in the van in case something happened.

Roy raced down the sidewalk in his Arsenal suit while Oliver approached from the backyard. Will was perched up on a tree overlooking the house while Dig was in the van parked down the street.

"In position?" Oliver checked over the comms.

"In position." Roy answered.

"In position." Dig answered. "Neighborhood's clear."

"In position." Will finished.

"You know, I probably should have brought this up before, but if this place doesn't belong to the killer you chased to Central City and back, well, we're gonna have a lot of explaining to do." Roy pointed out.

Will jumped onto the roof of the house and his spider-sense began to tingle which meant something was going on. "No, this is the right place." He assured them.

"Why, because the residue STAR labs found on the boomerang says so?" Dig wondered.

"Because the whole place is rigged." Oliver told them, having peaked inside the house, and seeing a trip wire bomb set up by the door. "I can see a trip wire connected to pressurized gas. Front door will be the same."

"Our new friend doesn't want any surprise visitors." Roy said.

"Well, he's going to get a surprise." Oliver said as he and Roy aimed explosive arrows at the back and front door and used them to set off the booby traps. Once they were taken care of, they entered the house to find it abandoned but the kitchen had some hot food and a bottle of whiskey. "Looks like we interrupted his dinner.

"We just missed him." Roy said when Oliver heard some movement in the hall. He and Roy aimed their arrows at squad of six men in tactical gear with assault weapons.

"Drop your guns." Oliver told them.

"Sure thing. Right when you learn how to count. You're outnumbered, Jerkwad." The team captain said only for every single member of the team to get yanked out of the house by webbing and thrown on the front lawn. Their guns were webbed up and their bodies restrained by Spider-man who was still up on the roof.

"Now, you're outnumbered. And seriously? Jerkwad? That's the best you can come up with." Spider-man pointed out as Oliver and Roy walked out of the house.

"You're not SCPD. You're ARGUS. The man who was killed by the boomerang, he was an ARGUS agent?" Oliver asked.

"Which makes this an ARGUS matter. Let this go." The captain told them.

"Yeah, like that's gonna happen." Will said as they left the ARGUS team to get free on their own and returned to the bunker. Roy and Oliver had pulled down their hoods and removed their masks but Will kept his on.

"Felicity, have you pulled any info on the ARGUS angle?" Oliver asked.

"Well, ARGUS wiped all evidence of their agent's death after he was killed or at least they thought they did." Felicity tapped the screen to show them the information she was able to compile on his time with the agency. "Our boomerang victim, Kai Wu."

"The man's profile is so clean. I should have known it was an ARGUS cover." Dig muttered.

"Well, at least his motives are starting to clear up. This wasn't a random killing. He targeted the ARGUS agent for whatever reason. Guess he and ARGUS had a falling out. That's good news. The bad news, he's loose somewhere in Starling." Will added.

"Well, now that we know he's ARGUS maybe Lyla can get us a lead?" Roy asked.

"If this is an ARGUS thing, Lyla's going to want it to stay that way." Dig told them.

"Then tell her to stop letting people get killed in my city." Oliver stated.

"Seconded." Will added.

"You really don't care about my marriage, do you?" Dig wondered.

"Well, I would…if you and Lyla were still married." Oliver pointed out, noticing Dig's smirk.

"Still, it doesn't hurt to ask." Will said as he thought of something. "And if we get a lead maybe we can stop him before this escalates. I doubt that killing that one agent is his only agenda. I'm going to patrol the city and reach out to some friends to see if can narrow down a lead on Captain Boomerang. Let me know if something happens."

Will left the bunker to do his Spider-man thing and find Captain Boomerang, unaware that the former member of the Suicide Squad wouldn't be his only issue as Tombstone still wanted him dead. And now it was time for another supervillain. Flint Marko was being strapped in harnesses in the same lab that turned O'Hirn into the Rhino. Doctor Octavius had some time to adjust the procedure for a different result as Rhino wasn't enough to take down Spider-man.

Marko watched as Doctor Octavius used his mechanical claws to prep the machine and attach sensor nodes to his body. "So, uh…Doc. What's with the arms?"

"Oh, these? Well, they allow me to multitask. Uh, manipulate difficult objects and uh…of course, maintain a safe distance." Doctor Octavius grabbed his clipboard and walked away.

"You need a safe distance?! What about me?!" Marko asked.

"Actually, there are concerns." Octavius told him and Marko began struggling.

Hammerhead walked into the lab from the observation room. "Marko, relax. Procedure's simple, painless, and totally worth it. Show him."

"Uh, yes." Doctor Octavius walked into the lab to show them a brief demonstration on the monitor. "Well, using magnetic forcefield manipulators that I modified from the contraband of Smythe Technologies, the subject is infused with millions of microscopic silicon granules creating subdermal silicon armor. Now, in theory you'll be able to pass through metal detectors, well…undetected and you'll be completely impervious."

"Impervious? What is that a good thing?" Marko asked only for Hammerhead to smile.

"Yeah. It means nothing and no one can hurt you. Including Spider-man."

That made Marko smile as he stopped his struggling and settled. Kingsley joined them soon after to watch the experiment and as Dr. Octavius readied the machine but still had a look of worry. "Please, Mr. Kingsley. This lab, it was assembled so rapidly and much of the equipment is substandard. I was able to modify the Smythe Technologies magnetic forcefield manipulator for the experiment but this was never its intention. At the least, I need more time to make sure it's been tested."

"This is the test." Kingsley told him as he put on his safety glasses. "Press the button, doctor."

Octavius, with a heavy heart, pulled the lever as bright lights turned on in the lab as the three magnetic forcefield generators around Marko powered up. They began producing magnetic and electrical energy as silicon granules were introduced to the subject. The forcefield caused the silicon to swarm around Marko like a tornado as they began penetrating his body like Doctor Octavius theorized but it wasn't to make subdermal armor. Unbeknownst to him, the magnetic forcefield generators internal circuitry had a strange orange glow of dark matter imbedded in the system which in turn affected the magnetic forcefield and electrical energy they produced. One bolt of electricity turned orange and zapped the sand that entered Marko's body and that's when things went bad.

"STOP! STOP! SHUT THE MACHINE OFF!" Marko shouted as skin began to bubble and small air pockets began to expel silicon. "NOO!"

The computers began to pick up an energy feedback and Doctor Octavius did his best to rectify the problem but it was too late. "The magnetic field is overloading! We have to abort!"

"Not yet." Kingsley told him, completely devoid of any kind of apathy to what he was witnessing.

Marko's body began to morph and change as more and more silicon infected his body until the point where he blew up like a balloon and then exploded in a burst of sand.

"What have we done." Octavius looked on in horror. "What do we do?"

Kingsley removed his safety glasses to show his eyes without any kind of remorse. "We sweep up and we try again."

"Wait. What's going on in there?" Hammerhead asked as they saw the sand began to move around like it had a mind of its own. It began to pile together to form a large mound before some of the sand began to move to form a smaller shape that almost resembled a person kneeling. More and more of the sand began to slip away until the blob of a person began to redefine and slim down to reveal it was actually Flint Marko, alive and well.

Marko, who had no idea what happened, looked at his hand and what was once a human hand was now sand that was struggling to keep its form. He was a monster.

"NOOOOO! What have you done to me?!" Marko punched the observation room glass with his sand fist. The glass was still in one piece but there was a loud boom, indicating he hit it with a lot of force. "I know you're in there! Answer me!"

Marko's other hand subconsciously turned into a sand mallet and he began wailing on the glass with everything he had, rage and anger included.

"Hey, Mr. Sandman. Chill." Hammerhead told him. "We'll figure this out. Doc, what happened?"

"I have no earthly idea." Octavius told him.

"I'll tell you what happened. We just made the perfect weapon." Kingsley smiled in delight. Despite his exterior of the wonderful and philanthropic beauty empire king…deep inside was the soul of a psychopath. Heaven forbid if he ever got powers.

The next day, Will and Doctor Conners were standing in front of the Palmer Tech building to get started on their first day of work. Will had finished his class and thought that Doctor Connors would have gone ahead and he would have joined him later but no. Doctor Connors insisted on sharing their first day of work together and was more than happy to wait.

"Wow. Hard to believe we're actually here." Will said with his backpack on and carrying a box of items they needed.

"Indeed. This is big, Will." Dr. Connors told him, his bag slung over his shoulder and carrying a briefcase. "This is where things will change for us. For the better."

They walked into the building where the receptionist gave them their Palmer Tech ID badges which they would use to get into the building and onto the floor where their lab was located. The receptionist led them up the elevator to the 65th floor which is where the lab was. They scanned their badges and saw a state-of-the-art science lab with everything and anything they could possibly want. Their lab back at the SCU was great and cutting edge for what a university could do with funding and grants but this one made it seem like they've been slumming it.

A holographic projection station, top of the line analysis machines with 10,000 times magnification, an built-in clean room, an Autosampler machine to assist in serum applications, high-tech imaging cameras, incubators, and everything else they could possibly need. And in the built-in clean room was the Genetic Recombinator along with a fridge of all their samples from the university.

"I have died and gone to nerd heaven. We don't even have some of this stuff back at the university." Will walked over to check out the holographic projection station and passed the three large refrigerator/cabinets housing all their chemicals and samples.

"This is was private money gets you." Dr. Connors walked over to his workstation and put his bag down. "This will be able to help us move a lot faster. Will, start uploading our data into the Palmer Tech servers here and make a backup for us just in case. And bring up sample #13.459. We're close to something there; I can feel it."

"Roger that." Will sat down at his own workstation and began uploading their data to the Palmer Tech computers. After organizing all their files and making some backups, he brought up the data on RNA sample#13.459. That sample was the culmination of their work so far as all Recombinator tests using it so far have been successful. Healthy cell division have gone up to 75% while dead or mutated cells have all but been cured or eliminated. They had moved on to the more lethal and extensive strains of cancer and genetic cellular damage and were hoping to get more data from the next batch of tests.

They heard the door unlock and in walked Dr. Palmer. "Hey, how are you two settling in?"

"Oh, I'm in love with this place. This is amazing." Will told him.

"I agree with my assistant. This is very impressive, Dr. Palmer." Dr. Connors told him.

"Please, just Ray. And I'm glad you two are getting settled in. This lab should have everything you need for your project. Hopefully, with the extra help Palmer Tech can supply you'll be able to make some serious headway on your project." Ray told them.

"I'm confident we can. In fact, I'm confident we could start human trials in two months." Dr. Connors stated.

"I like that confidence. Let me know if there's anything else you need." Ray left so the two could continue their work.

"Uh, Dr. Connors…not to downplay your enthusiasm but don't you think two months for human trials is still too soon?" Will pointed out. "I know we've been having a lot of success with our trial tests so far but we've still got mountains of work to do before we can even think about turning this to human trials. And that's even if we don't get stonewalled by the FDA for our work with the Recombinator."

"I understand your hesitation Will but we must move forward. Science waits for no man so we don't wait for the opportunity. I know we can do it." Dr. Connors told him with a smile. Will shared his boss's enthusiasm for trying to help people and he did want the Recombinator to work but it seemed like Dr. Connors kept pushing and pushing.

The duo continued their work at Palmer Tech, stopping for some breaks and checking out the commissary floor. The place had an awesome coffee machine and make your omelet station. Not to mention a salad bar that would make Aria cry in joy. They tested the new sample and it was as effective as the last one on weaker cancer strains. Against stronger ones, maybe 50% effective so they had their work cut out for them. Luckily, their new lab would help them work faster and smarter.

Felicity was diligently doing her work and with the end of the work day, she was getting ready to leave and head to the bunker to figure out another lead on the person ARGUS was after. As Will nicknamed him, Captain Boomerang. She put some stuff away at her desk, put her jacket on and grabbed her tablet when she heard someone walk in. "Almost done here, Jerry. You should have gone home hours ago."

"Who's Jerry?"

"This place is bigger than my apartment."

Felicity saw her visitors were Caitlin Snow and Cisco Ramon from STAR labs. "What are you guys doing here?"

"You asked us to analyze the DNA off the arrow that killed Sara." Caitlin said.

"I was just going to mail you the sample." Felicity pointed out.

"We had some vacation days coming—"

"We want to see the Arrow cave." Cisco told her.

"We don't call it that. Ever." Felicity explained when she saw their looks of hope that she would say yes.

"But I want to see the toys. I need to see the toys." Cisco pleaded as Felicity grabbed her purse. "Do you guys have an arrowmobile?"

Their smiles and looks of gitty anticipation broke Felicity and she relented, taking them to the bunker where Oliver and Roy were. They looked around and while they had STAR labs and it was state of the art, the Arrow Cave as Cisco called it was awesome for a vigilante/superhero. He walked over to a table with assorted arrowheads and reached his hand out to touch them.

"Don't touch that." Oliver told him. Cisco then reached over to touch one of the arrows on the assembly rack. "Or that. It's a jettisoning Arrow. Uses compressed CO2—"

"Compressed CO2 to Jettison high tensile strength polymer cables." Cisco finished.

"Yep."

"Since when did we start selling admissions to the arrow cave?" Roy wondered.

"It's…do you see what you've done?" Oliver asked Felicity who looked at him innocently as her computer did some calculations.

Cisco eventually found himself staring at Oliver's suit mannequin and he was in love. "Oh my god. I have so many ideas for improvements." That earned a raised eyebrow from Oliver when Cisco walked over to Roy's suit. "And this. Oh, oh, man! This—this is the bomb. And I mean, red is so much cooler than green, am I right?"

"Hmm, I am really starting to like this guy." Roy said.

"Hey, what's that for?" Caitlin pointed to the salmon ladder.

"[Sighs] Distracting me from work." Felicity answered.

"So, where's Mr. Diggle?" Caitlin wondered.

"He's running down a lead." Roy answered as Cisco pricked his finger on an arrow and subtly put it back.

"These are awesome, as I dreamed they would be, but uh where's the Spider-man one?" Cisco asked as they looked at him funny. "You guys have one set up for Spider-man, right? I've been dying to see what his suit is like."

"Uh, Cisco about that…he doesn't leave his stuff here." Felicity told him.

"But you said you guys were working with him. You know, Team Arrow/Spider-man together?" Cisco asked, feeling let down that he wasn't going to see Spider-man.

"Yeah, we're ok and Oliver doesn't shoot him with arrows anymore but that doesn't mean he leaves his suit here." Felicity told him.

"He has his own thing set up. He helps us and we help him but we're two separate groups." Roy added.

"Oh, come on. I was so excited to see Spider-man. I mean, I've been tracking him since he showed up in the summer and I've been dying to try and see him in action for myself. I mean, the guy is a literal powerhouse." Cisco was starting to sound like a teenage fangirl. "Don't get me wrong, what Barry can do is incredible but this guy is awesome. He took down that giant spider-robot and the Rhino by himself. I've seen videos of him catching cars with his arms and don't even get me starting on when he stopped that helicopter from crashing. Is he dropping by anytime soon? Is he?"

"Uh, I don't think so." Felicity told him as Caitlin chuckled, seeing Cisco acting like this. She and Barry knew about his obsession with Spider-man and she had to admit that she was a little curious about what he could do and how his powers worked.

"Would it be out of order for you guys to call him and see if he could help?" Cisco asked when Oliver's phone rang.

"Dig."

"Oliver. Our man's at ARGUS. Lyla's here. Oliver, this guy? He's the real deal."

"Our target is storming ARGUS and Lyla is there." Oliver told Roy as the two grabbed their bows and suited up.

"Mm-hmm. Bad ass. So cool!" Cisco commented.

"It'll be over by the time they get there." Caitlin pointed out.

"Well, this situation might call for some extra help." Felicity took out her phone and called Will.

Will, who had finished his work day at Palmer Tech, was standing on the street eating a hotdog from street vendor Al, more specifically on 48th street. Best hotdogs in the city and it's been a while since he had them. He actually got three and they were delicious.

"Thanks again, Al!" Will waved goodbye as he finished his second hotdog and sipped his coke. He was about to eat his third one when his phone rang. "Yeah?"

"Will, sorry to bother you but we have a situation. Our guy is storming ARGUS. I know you have an issue with them but this could be our chance to get this guy. Oliver and Roy are on their way but you can get their faster." Felicity told him.

"I'm on my way. Where is it?" Will asked, throwing his coke away and giving his hotdog to a homeless man on the sidewalk who thanked him. He quickly ran down the street and looked for an empty alley.

"It's on the eastern edge of the city. You can't miss the building. It has the words ARGUS on it." Felicity said.

"Got it." Will quickly began to take off his clothes and change into his suit, swinging into the air and webbing his backpack to the roof of a building to pick up later.

Unfortunately, he wouldn't be going to help ARGUS as he would have his own problem to deal with. Hammerhead was in his car being driven by his driver/bodyguard while sitting across from Flint Marko, still a shifting pile of human sand.

"There you go. You got your sand legs, your sand clothes." Hammerhead said as Marko's body began to solidify to the point where he looked normal. Even his normal color came back and he was wearing his trademark green striped long sleeve. "Hey, now you're in color. See. It's not so bad."

"Not so bad?!"

"Stuff happens. End results the same. You've got powers no one else got. Not even Spider-man. Now you can get revenge for all the times the web head put you behind bars." Hammerhead suggested.

"Yeah. No wait! Revenge is for chumps. I don't care about Spider-man. All I ever wanted was a big score. And now I've got the power to get it." Marko said.

"Now, listen you little nobody!" Hammerhead warned him.

"Hey! Flint Marko was a nobody! But everyone will know the name Sandman!" Marko punched out the door and turned into sand, flying out of the car to get his big score.

Hammerhead wiped his suit of the sand as the driver's mirror divider came down to reveal Kingsley in the front seat. "You're taking this calmly. I thought Big Man wanted a supervillain to fight Spider-man?"

"Who's to say he won't? The bug goes where there's trouble and if Marko wants a big score, that'll be some serious trouble." Hammerhead pointed out.

Marko ended up at Starling National Bank and used his new powers to steal two large bags of money. Spider-man, who was swinging by, heard the bank alarm and then saw the front doors get destroyed as Marko walked out with a smile on his face. He swung down and landed on parking meter.

"Oh, man Marko. Seriously? This is so getting old. You know, I was kind of hoping that seeing your old pal O'Hirn in jail that it would kind of inspire you to walk the straight and narrow but alas, I guess I set the bar too high." Spider-man told him.

"Ha-ha, funny web head. Another reason to take you down." Marko dropped his bags of money and his fist turned into sand and tripled in size like in a cartoon. He threw out a punch that hit Spider-man off the parking meter but he flipped and landed in the street, shaking his head as that hurt more than normal.

Marko charged forward and kicked Spider-man into a parked car, denting the metal. Spider-man groaned a bit as sand fell off his suit. "Uh, what just…"

"Happened?! I happened! Sandman happened!" Marko morphed into sand and closed the distance.

"Oh, that's just wrong." Spider-man jumped into the air and swung around a light pole to hit him only for Marko to enlarge his hand and grab his foot before throwing him into the side of a building. He sat in the hole he made as he tapped his earpiece to call Felicity. "Uh, Felicity. I'm gonna be a little late. I've run into an old friend. Tell Oliver it's a Rhino-like situation."

Marko shifted his whole body into a large sand fist and came at him so he flipped up the wall to avoid it. He then jumped away as Marko enlarged his hand to swat him like a fly. Marko charged again, turning his fist into a spiked sand mace but missed as Spider-man landed an uppercut only that didn't work. Marko's face was like sand and absorbed the blow so he quickly dropped down and kicked out his sand legs with a leg sweep only to get bashed away and crash into a parked delivery truck. He quickly flipped through the air and landed on his feet.

"Wait, let me guess. You were on a reality show. Uh, changing faces or completely ridiculous makeover?" He quipped.

"Nice, huh? Hammerhead and Octavius did this to me. To get to you." Marko told him.

"Hammerhead and who?" Spider-man asked. "Who's Octavius?"

"Uh, that's need to know only. Look, cleaning your clocks been fun but I got banks to rob." Marko told him.

"Sorry, Marko. Not gonna happen." Spider-man fired two web lines and sling-shot himself at Marko, hoping to barrel through him only to get stuck halfway through his body. Marko grabbed him and then threw him into a light pole, bending it in half. He hit the ground with a thud as Marko dispersed into sand and escaped through the sewer grate on the street only to leave the bags of money behind.

"Oh, man! My money!"

The police soon arrived and took the money back but were confused as to why there was sand all over the place. Spider-man swung up and landed on the roof of a building where he raised his mask and began spitting out the sand that got caught in his mouth.

"Oh, god. Why'd they pick sand of all things?" He took off his mask to shake the sand out of his hair before taking off his sneaker and pouring the sand out. Imagine a trip to the beach on a bad day, times a thousand.

Oliver and Roy had arrived at ARGUS just in time as Oliver fired an arrow at a boomerang that would have killed Lyla. He and Arsenal dropped down to the floor as Captain Boomerang raced behind cover form Diggle and Lyla's firing squad before moving back. Arrow and Arsenal fired several arrows which Captain Boomerang knocked aside or deflected and then threw a boomerang, knocking Arsenal's bow out of his hand. Arsenal replaced them with his fighting sticks as the two double-teamed Boomerang, moving in synch to try and get him off edge but he was good. He kicked Arsenal in the chest, knocking him onto his back before throwing a boomerang at the Arrow who parried it only for two more to be thrown.

He wasn't able to react in time and they would have killed him a speeding red blur and flicker of yellow lightning ran by and grabbed them. They looked and saw it was the red clad speedster of Central City, the Flash. Seeing he was outnumbered and not going to complete his mission, Boomerang tossed several flashbangs and smoke bombs and made his escape. The Flash smiled at the Arrow before leaving in a whoosh of air. ARGUS backup arrived to tend to the wounded and the dead.

"Are you sure you're, all right?" Dig asked Lyla but that was the last thing on her mind.

"What was that?" She asked, referring to the speeding blur.

"A better question—who attacked you?" Oliver asked.

"And don't tell him it was an internal ARGUS matter." Dig added.

Lyla sighed as she saw no option but to come clean. "His name is Digger Harkness. Former ASIS. His specialty is weapons and technology before he went rogue. Started selling his services to the highest bidder. We caught him three years ago and his skills made him an ideal recruit for Task Force X."

"You mean your Suicide Squad. We know that already." Dig told her, not really happy with what was going on.

"They had an op in Tanzania. Assassination of a local warlord. But the warlord had bigger guns. The mission went south…and the team had to be sanitized." Lyla told them.

"You mean killed, Lyla." Dig commented.

"Waller couldn't be reached. It was my call." She said and that only added to Dig's frustration. "The micro bomb in Harkness's neck must have malfunctioned."

"We need to consider that every ARGUS facility is compromised. There's only one place we can keep you safe." Oliver told her and they soon left after that.

Back at the bunker, Felicity, Caitlin, and Cisco watched as a super speeding red blur was going up and down the salmon ladder. "How often does Oliver do this?" Caitlin asked.

"At least every Wednesday. There's a lot of sweating." Felicity told her as the blur stopped to reveal it was Barry Allen. He had his mask off and was as calm as can be.

"I don't see what's so hard about that." Barry handed the bar to Cisco who walked over to try it for himself.

"I'm not sure she should have called you. Oliver doesn't play well with others." Felicity said to Barry.

"Ah, come on. Barry and Oliver kicked ass last week." Cisco reminded her and Barry agreed. "They were in, like…a league of their own."

"Yeah, that was like a one time thing." Felicity explained.

"The dude was tossing around exploding boomerangs. They needed some backup. And I need some dinner. That salmon ladder made me hungry for sushi." Barry super sped out of the bunker, kicking up the papers on Felicity's desk.

"And I need to get some paperweights down here!"

"I should have warned you about that." Caitlin said when they saw Oliver, Roy, Diggle, and Lyla arrive.

"Are you ok?" Felicity asked.

"You can't work for ARGUS without making a few enemies. I'm sorry to involve all of you in this." Lyla said as Dig emptied a bag containing the boomerang fragments. "Is that ARGUS property?"

"It's evidence." Dig corrected her when a whoosh of air blew past them and they saw Barry sitting at Felicity's chair with a container of sushi and some chopsticks.

"Hey! Secret identity." Caitlin reminded him as Lyla was slack jawed.

"They're married." Barry said.

"We're not married." Lyla and Dig replied while Oliver shook his head.

"Or together. Whatever. He told her about me." He said only for Dig to shake his head. "You didn't?"

"I keep secrets for a living, man."

"Ah. My bad." Barry realized he just messed up and exposed his secret identity to a government agent.

"You're—You're…"

"The Flash. Sushi?" Barry offered and she shook her head no.

"We need a location on the man who's after Lyla. His name is Digger Harkness." Oliver told Felicity.

"Well, the first step is to work the evidence—"

"Barry, can I speak to you for a moment, please?" Oliver took him to the other side of the room so they could talk in private. Cisco raised his phone to take a picture when Caitlin stopped him. "I appreciate your help back at ARGUS, but we have this handled."

"You don't want to team up again?"

"Things work differently here. Starling city is meaner."

"I seem to remember helping you pretty good last year, and that was without powers." Barry pointed out. "I've been practicing everything you taught me. I'm casing new environments; I'm not running in blind."

Oliver thought it over for a moment before letting out a sigh. "We do this my way."

"Yes! This is gonna be awesome. Ok, so what's our first move?" Barry asked.

"We need to reassemble the evidence. It will take some time, but it'll—" Oliver was cut off as Barry super sped over to the boomerang fragments and put them back together in about five seconds. "…But it'll be worth it."

"Rad!" Cisco picked one up to get a better look at it. "These are a bit more teched out than the one you just brought to Central City. 3D printed polymer with a circuitry weave."

"Some of Harkness' boomerangs exploded." Roy told him.

"Oh, yeah, there are grooves in here that could definitely pack a C4 charge." Cisco told him

"Maybe if we figure out where Harkness got the supplies, we can use that to track him." Caitlin suggested.

"These weren't made by Ka-boom Boomerang." Cisco commented.

"Ka-boom Boomerang?" Roy was confused.

"Yeah, you know, he has exploding boomerangs?" Cisco explained.

"That's not your best." Barry pointed out.

"And we've been calling him Captain Boomerang until we learned his real name just now." Felicity added.

"Captain Boomerang? That is so much better who came up with that?" Cisco asked.

"I did." They heard and looked up to see Spider-man sitting on the ceiling above them. "Hi there."

"Uh…hi." Caitlin, Cisco, and Barry replied.

"Sorry, I'm late but I ran into some trouble. Sorry I couldn't get to ARGUS but glad things worked out in the end." He told them.

"When did you get here?" Dig asked.

"I've been here for the past five minutes." Spider-man pointed out. "Seriously? Oliver's the only one who even knew I was here. If I were Captain Boomerang you guys would be screwed. Speaking of which, well Ms. Scary-Agent-Lady, looks like the shoe is on the other government agency foot. Ironic, isn't it?"

"Amusing." Lyla commented.

"Oh, I find it hilarious that after you sent him after me, Karmic justice sends him after you. Comes with the job of being a scary government agency lady who hired supervillains and mercenaries. No offense, Diggle." Spider-man said.

"None taken." Dig replied.

"Uh, are we missing something here?" Barry was confused on the hints of animosity between Spider-man and Lyla.

"Oh, just that scary government lady over there, and yes, I'm going to keep calling you that for the entire time, sent Captain Boomerang along with seven other crazy psychopaths and supervillains to try and capture me no less than a month ago. Then tried to sweep the whole thing under the rug when Oliver and I put them down." Spider-man said as Cisco, Caitlin, and Barry were looking at Lyla in a new light. "Well, that chicken's come home to roost. I'd be careful if I were you, Red. She might send them after you next."

"Are you here to help or just to mock me?" Lyla wondered as Spider-man gave her a shrug.

"Eh, a little of both. And I'm here to help on one condition. So long as I'm here, she leaves the room."

"She's the target. We can't just leave her out in the open." Dig told him.

"I'm not saying that. If I were, I would suggest dangling Lyla out like a bait worm on a hook to lure Captain Boomerang to us and end this in an hour. But seeing as how that probably wouldn't even be entertained, I just don't want her in the room where she can see or hear me and report back to her evil boss. That's it. She can stand outside for all I care but so long as I'm here, she's not or I'm walking out and I can catch him myself. I took him down last time and I can do it again…although I might not be as…how you say, motivated to stop him." Spider-man made his ultimatum to the group.

Before anyone could say anything, Lyla took it upon her self to leave the bunker and go outside to the alley. Dig went with her to keep her company and to talk.

"Glad that worked itself out. Hang on." Spider-man checked the room with his enhanced vision and spider-sense and once he was sure there was no bug he jumped down and landed in a crouch.

"Don't you think that was a little harsh?" Felicity pointed out.

"You get pounced on by a rapid cheetah, your ass frozen with a cold gun, and your body used as a wrestling dummy by Bane and tell me if you feel the same. My back still twinges when its cold which at this time of year is every day." Spider-man suggested and Felicity had to concede that. "I'm sorry, Oliver. I know you trust Dig and he vouches for Lyla but I don't trust her not to sell me out to her bosses the second this is done."

"Fair enough. You up to speed?" Oliver asked.

"Yeah. And I think I know someone who can help. I'll call Captain Lance see if they can find something to identify the maker of these things. Not many people have the skills to make boomerangs and if they are 3D printed and contain internal circuitry then that list is going to get smaller. While I do that, Felicity can you set up the facial recognition software to track someone down?" He asked.

"Sure, who?" Felicity sat down at her desk.

"Flint Marko."

She ran a quick search in the SCPD database and got his file and mugshot. "Flint Marko. Career criminal and robber who's been in and out of Iron Heights since high school."

"Yeah, I've personally put his butt in jail about half of those times. He's the one who stopped me. He's changed."

"Changed how?" Oliver asked as he walked over.

"See for yourself." Spider-man handed Felicity the Go-Pro on his belt. She downloaded the footage that caught their fight at the bank and they saw with their own eyes how he had changed. Marko could turn his body into sand.

"Whoa. That's a first even for us." Barry stated.

"How is that possible?" Oliver asked.

"I don't know. I mean, before we've just been dealing with weapons or suits but this is new. He's like me now. Powers and everything. Enhanced." Spider-man told him.

"Meta-human." Cisco corrected him. "We dub people with powers like you and Barry Meta-humans. People who got their powers from the Particle Accelerator explosion in Central City."

"Huh. That matches up with my hypothesis." Spider-man said.

"Except Marko wasn't there when the Particle Accelerator went off. He was in Bloodhaven committing a burglary and was arrested a few days later." Felicity brought up the arrest reports and CCTV footage of Marko in Bloodhaven when the Accelerator explosion went off.

"Then how did he get his powers?" Caitlin wondered.

"He said Tombstone gave him his powers along with someone called Octavius." Spider-man answered and Felicity ran a search on the name.

"Ok, one Doctor Otto Octavius. Harvard and MIT graduate with degrees in physics, biology, and engineering. Former head of Dynamic labs in Los Angeles." Felicity answered. "Guess we figured out how the Rhino came to be."

"We'll take him down another day. We've got to deal with Captain Boomerang and Sandman first." Spider-man told them.

"Sandman…I love this guy." Cisco said to Caitlin and Barry.

"Just track Marko down. I'll call Captain Lance and see if he can get us a lead on Captain Boomerang." Spider-man said as he placed a call and Felicity set up the program. He told Captain Lance everything they knew about Harkness and about the boomerangs as well so it helped to narrow down a weapon's maker/tech guy in the city who had that kind of skill. Lucky for them, practically everyone in this city used guns so tracking down a tech guy with the technical know-how to make something like the boomerang wouldn't take that long. Also given the technical layouts of the boomerang with internal circuitry and explosive alterations and the other boomerangs in evidence, he was confident he'd have something in an hour. "Ok, Lance is on it. Says he'll have a list of suspects in an hour or less."

"I'm still setting up the facial recognition and I've also tapped into city alarm systems and the SCPD for any alerts of sand storms or things like that." Felicity told him.

"If only we had a sample of that sand then maybe we could find something that could help." Caitlin suggested.

"There's probably some still in my suit." Spider-man looked at Caitlin, Cisco, and Caitlin and wondered if he should risk taking off his mask.

"Don't worry. You can trust us. We helped Oliver and Felicity even before we have powers." Barry told him. "I'm Barry Allen, also known as the Flash. That's Doctor Caitlin Snow and Cisco Ramon of STAR labs. They help me keep Central City safe and I trust them with my life. Your secret is safe with us."

He looked at Felicity and Oliver who nodded so he decided to trust them. He removed his mask so they could see his face. "Will Detmer, Spectacular Spider-man." He shook Barry's hand as he shook his mask free over a container and a few sand particles shook free. "Hang on."

He then took off his web shooters and removed the upper half of his suit to reveal his cut and defined body/musculature. 8-pack and all, he was about Barry's size but about as cut and defined as Oliver.

"Oh, man. That's not fair." Cisco commented. Barry chuckled while Caitlin and Felicity held back some blushes as he poured out the sand in his sleeves and gloves.

"Thank you." Caitlin took the sand and put it under a microscope and scanner.

"So, you were in Central City when you got your powers? How did you end up back here?" Barry wondered while Cisco sneakily took one of the web shooters to look it over.

"I was just visiting Central City for the Particle Accelerator launch for my class." Will explained.

"Class? How old are you?" Caitlin asked.

"20. I'm in college. I was a freshman back then." Will explained.

"College student by day, Spider-man by night. So awesome." Cisco muttered as he looked over the web shooter. "Where'd you get this thing?"

"I made it along with the rest of my gear. I don't have access to a company or STAR labs but I make do with what I can get." Will proudly answered as he put the top half of his suit back on.

"This thing is amazing. The mechanics of this is incredible. High pressure nozzle dispersion for your web fluid. Is it a polymer base?" Cisco wondered.

"No, that wouldn't sustain the tensile strength I need for my webbing. It's a Hydrogen oxide Cycline acid base super adhesive. Something I developed for a final project last year. I've modified the formula here and there to make it stronger than tensile steel polymer cables." Will corrected him.

"Dammit, your right. You're gonna put me out of a job." Cisco told him. Will chuckled when he saw where Cisco's finger was.

"Wait, don't touch that!" His warning came too late as Cisco pressed the button with the nozzle pointed at him and became encased in webbing. Tied up and unable to move his arms, he fell to the ground with his mouth covered and both confused yet excited he got to experience Spider-man webbing for himself. "You touched the trigger for the impact webbing."

"Huh. So that's how the stuff works." Barry commented as Will walked over and took his web shooter back when Captain Lance called back.

"Uh, can you help him?" Will asked as he answered, leaving Barry to try and get Cisco free. "Captain, did you find anything?"

"Yeah. I think I got the guy you're looking for. Klaus Markos. Used to be a good citizen with a degree in engineering before he took a wrong turn. Now uses his skills for anyone who will pay him enough. He's the only one in the city with the skills to make those boomerangs. Believe it or not, I arrested the guy a few years ago for identity theft. He stole a couple hundred pin numbers for the Bratva, Russian Mob. Don't know where he is now and to figure that out will take some time."

"I'll take it from here, Captain. Thanks." Will replied.

"No problem. Just get this guy." Lance hung up after that.

"Ok, we've got a name. Klaus Markos. Only guy with the engineering skills to make those boomerangs." Will told them as Felicity looked up some quick information on him and he was a criminal "Lance arrested him for working with the Bratva but he doesn't know where he is now."

"Then the Bratva might be our best shot to figure out where he is now. That's where we go." Oliver told them as they got ready to leave.

Line Break xxxxx

Oliver led them to where the Bratva handled their cyber crime division with Barry and Will tagging along. Barry, being Barry, got a little excited and took care of the Bratva muscle and they did find Klaus Markos there. Oliver interrogated him and they recovered the phone Harkness gave Markos to contact him which Felicity was currently hacking into when they got back to the bunker. Barry dropped Markos over at the SCPD so things were good except they weren't.

Barry and Oliver were having some issues with how they handle things. Barry wasn't exactly ok with how Oliver handled the interrogation and Oliver didn't care. While Felicity worked on decrypted the phone, Will swung around the city to try, and find Sandman since it would take a while. He was swinging down the street and passed a restaurant when his spider-sense went off so he dropped down and clung to the side of a building.

He looked around to try and find out what was making his spider-sense go off and it got stronger at a restaurant at Faith and Flower. Making his way over there, his spider-sense led him to a garbage can behind the restaurant where he found several blocks of explosive C4 attached to a trigger device. "Oh crap."

He quickly dialed Felicity who was still at the bunker working on tracking down Harkness. She saw it was him and answered. "Uh, Spider-man. I'm a little busy at the moment."

"Sorry, Felicity but this takes precedent. I just found a bomb behind a restaurant at Faith and Flower."

"What?" She asked.

"Did he just say a bomb?" Oliver walked over.

"Yes, I said bomb. Ok, my spider-sense went off and I tracked it down. It doesn't look like its active but it's got enough C4 here to take out the entire block." Spider-man told them as Barry mouthed spider-sense to Caitlin who shrugged.

"Barry, head there now." Oliver told him as Barry super sped out and arrived at the restaurant and saw the bomb in the garbage can.

"Guys, he's right. There's enough C4 here to take out the entire block." Barry reported.

"I didn't touch it because I don't want to risk setting it off." Spider-man said.

"That was the smart decision." Felicity assured him as Cisco sat down next to her.

"Barry, touch your emblem. I installed a mini-camera last week." Cisco told him and Barry did so Cisco and the others could see what they saw and it was in fact a bomb.

"That looks military." Dig told everyone.

"Harkness." Oliver surmised.

"But why?" Lyla asked.

"Maybe as a backup in case, we caught him? We wouldn't be able to take him down if he had these bombs as leverage." Spider-man theorized. "Cisco, can you talk us through disarming it?"

"Yeah, I can do that but I don't think I have to." Cisco looked at the bomb from the camera. "It looks like secondary trigger is a transmitter, most likely to the detonator. Felicity can probably deactivate it from here. It looks like a radio frequency detonator."

"Hang on. I'm keying into the bomb's frequency now." She told him and managed to do it fairly quickly but instead of one detonator receiver she found a total of five. "Oh, that complicates things."

"What is it?" Spider-man asked.

"It's not just one bomb. It's five. He's placed them all throughout the city." She explained.

"That guy is a friggin' lunatic. Can you disarm them?" Spider-man asked.

"Not from here. And that's just the beginning of the bad news." Cisco replied.

"There's more?" Barry asked.

"Yeah, you guys see secondary trigger. It's not a receiver from the detonator but a transmitter." Cisco explained.

"If you guys try to defuse the bomb, the secondary trigger's going to transmit a signal and the rest of the bombs are going to explode." Felicity told them. "You guys are gonna have to defuse all the bombs at the same time."

"You're thinking of Multiplex. I can't be in five places all at once." Barry said when Spider-man got an idea.

"But you're fast enough to get three other people to the other bombs in the city." Spider-man told him and Barry understood what he meant. He super sped away and returned to the bunker to get Roy, Caitlin, and Cisco and took them to where three of the bombs were located. One behind a shopping store, another in a park, and then another in a parking lot. Barry went to the last one in an alley.

"Ok. Everyone has to cut the blue wire exactly on three." Cisco told them. "Ready? One…two…three."

They all cut the blue wire and thankfully no explosions went off. Everyone breathed a sigh of relief as Oliver, Diggle, and Lyla were glad the bombs were disarmed. Spider-man let out a laugh of joy. "Oh, screw you. Captain Boomerang."

"Nice work, guys. Well done." Oliver told them all.

"Yeah. Nice find, Spider-man." Felicity told him. "Without you, we'd be in worse shape for sure."

"Well done." Lyla said. She admitted to herself that this whole situation could have ended really badly. Spider-man saved the day.

"Then I say we end this on a happy note. Felicity, the transmitters on these bombs. Think you can back trace them to the detonator?" He suggested.

"Give me a few minutes." She said as Barry super sped Roy, Caitlin, and Cisco back to the bunker before racing around the city and getting the bombs. He and Spider-man disposed of the bombs safely and Starling was safe from any explosions. "I've got it. I've tracked down the signal to the detonator. He's in a warehouse on the west end of the city."

"All right. Let's take down Captain Boomerang." Spider-man said as he, Barry and Oliver left to go take him down.

Digger Harkness was set up in a warehouse, waiting for his trap to be sprung. Knowing that Lyla and the Arrow would track down Klaus Markos, he was now waiting for the Arrow and his cohorts to leave and head to the trap so he could back trace Markos's phone and end Lyla for what she tried to do.

Hearing some slight shuffling in the warehouse, he hurled a boomerang through the air only for a speeding blur to catch it. The Arrow walked out into the light with an arrow ready to fire and the Flash stopped next to him. "It's over, Harkness. Get on the ground."

"Now, why would I want to do that?" Harkness wondered.

"You're done hurting people. We're taking you in." The Arrow told him.

"No, you won't, which is why I have a contingency in place." Harkness held up the detonator. "Five bombs planted throughout Starling. Now, you can stop me, or you can stop the bombs. But you can't do both. The bombs are armed. In 90 seconds, this city will be on fire."

"Hate to break it to you, Captain Boomerang but we already took care of your bombs. How do you think we found you?" The Flash asked. "We back traced the signal. It's over."

Harkness pressed the detonator and nothing happened. His plan was foolproof so where did he go wrong? He growled in anger and tossed the detonator away before blocking an arrow with his boomerang and then throwing it. Arrow closed the distance, dodging the boomerang as The Flash super sped away before racing around Harkness and stealing his overcoat with his boomerangs. Arrow blocked his strike and punched him in the ribs before kicking him in the gut so he fell out the window. He fell to the ground only for a web to snag his leg and pull him up where he was then wrapped up from shoulder to toe in webbing and a final piece keeping his mouth shut. Harkness looked and saw it was Spider-man.

"Sorry, Captain Boomerang. You're good but against the three of us…eh, you never really stood a chance. I mean, I took you down by myself last time." He punched him in the face to knock him out as Flash tossed him the overcoat which he webbed and strung up next to him. "I think I'll call this one Boomerang folly. What do you think?"

"Eh, could be better." Flash chuckled. "Can't believe we did it. That was way too easy."

"Oh, dude. Why did you jinx us?" Spider-man asked when Felicity contacted them over the comms.

"Sorry to interrupt your moment but Sandman just resurfaced. Reports of a sandstorm downtown attacking an armored transport truck." She explained.

"Ok, let's keep the team-up going. Time to put the Sandman to bed." Spider-man swung away as the Flash super sped ahead and the Arrow drove on his motorcycle.

Flint Marko used his new sand powers to overpower the guards and drivers of the armored truck that was transporting some nice fancy jewelry to some high end brokers and stores. Now it was his and would be a nice payday. The armored truck was speeding down the street as the driver and his escort were trapped in front of the truck by piles of sand which pressed on the accelerator. Some cars were hit and swerved out of the way but the speeding armored truck ran a red light and almost hit some pedestrians when a red blur whisked them away.

Spider-man swung after the truck and landed on the roof just as Marko was looking over his haul. He heard the thump on the roof and turned his hand into a spear tip and began stabbing through the roof.

"Whoa!" Spider-man managed to avoid the three stabs before ripping open the back door and flipping into the truck, hitting Marko in the face. "Surprise!"

He pushed Marko up against the truck and landed two punches but they weren't that effective as Marko had a sand hand extend from his face that caught his fist. "Ha! Gee, web head. If I'm over here, who's driving?"

"Unlucky for you, I've got some friends of my own." Spider-man said as the Flash was racing around, pulling civilians out of the way of the speeding armored truck. The Arrow rode up to the truck on his motorcycle and fired an arrow at the rear left tired, popping it, and sending it to the left. Spider-man fired some impact webbing at Marko's face to distract him and pull his hand free before grabbing the driver and guard from the front seat and throwing them out of the truck and firing some webbing to catch them. The trunk then turned and crashed into an empty construction yard, flipping onto its side as Spider-man was thrown out the front window and landed on the dirt/sand of the building being built.

The guards were safe and alive, having been caught by the webbing that Spider-man fired. The Flash skid to a stop in the construction yard as the Arrow parked his bike and rushed over. They helped Spider-man back to his feet as he nursed his head. A little hurt but nothing that was threatening.

"You all right?" Flash asked.

"Yeah, I'm good. The guards?" He asked.

"They're fine." Arrow told him when his spider-sense went off.

"GET BACK!" He pushed them away as large tentacles of sand wrapped around his body and began squeezing until they formed a large sand fist. Marko then materialized next to him with his other hand turned into a sharp spear. He quickly grabbed the sand spear and used it to break through the sand that was holding him before flipping over Marko to avoid a swipe. He then backflipped up onto the side of the construction beams as the Arrow fired an explosive arrow that caused Marko's sand body to disperse before he pulled himself back together.

Spider-man began firing multiple strands of webbing, the Arrow fired two jettison arrows that wrapped polymer cables around him and the Flash sped around him and tied him up with some rope from the construction site.

"Heh, nice try web head but spider tricks don't work on the Sandman." Marko shifted his body into sand, causing the webbing, cables, and rope to fall off. "But do Sandman tricks work on the Spider-man?!"

He shifted his body into sand and snuck underneath some metal rebar pipes and construction beams, then exploded in a burst of sand, causing the pipes and beams to rain down on the three heroes. Spider-man jumped off the construction building and then flipped through the air as the Arrow ran and avoided the rebar pipes. Flash raced around, dodging the falling debris and making sure that the errant pieces that flew out of the construction yard didn't hurt anyone. The police quickly set up a perimeter around the construction yard to keep everyone back and they would have been hurt if the Flash didn't get them out of the way.

"Everyone, get back!" The police shouted as they moved the civilians away.

The Arrow saw Sandman solidify again and fired an arrow but it just went through his body. "You should have stayed out of his Arrow. I would have left you alone but you had to go and get yourself involved. Now, you made an enemy of the Sandman. And your tricks are even lamer than the web heads!"

Marko slammed his hands to the ground, sending out a wave of sand spikes to the hooded vigilante who fired a grapple arrow up at the construction building and grappled away to safety. Marko then formed a sand axe and elongated his arm to hit him mid-flight only for Spider-man to swing by and pull him out of harms way and drop him off on a top floor of the construction building. He saved the Arrow but then got blindsided by a sand hammer that whacked him from the side, causing him to crash into the foreman's trailer.

The Flash super sped at Marko but ended up tripping as the sand pooled around his feet and trapped him. An explosive arrow landed next to him and the explosion was enough to disperse the sand around him, letting him go free where he super sped up the construction building next to the Arrow.

"This isn't going so well." The Flash stated as he tapped his earpiece. "Caitlin, we could use some help with this guy."

"There's not much we can do from here. I've looked over the sand and its silicon granules. He essentially isn't even human anymore, just sand." Caitlin said.

"Then what do we do?" Spider-man asked, flipping to the side to avoid being squashed by sand hammers.

"You need to find a way to contain his sand. That's all I can think of." Caitlin said as Spider-man flipped through the air, web pulled a construction beam into his hands and used it to smash Marko. He landed on the ground only for Marko to resolidify and uppercut him in the face.

"Wow, you sure showed me." Marko mocked as his changed his hands into hammers.

"You know, the hammer thing is getting old, pal." Spider-man quipped as he ducked, flipped, jumped, and dodged Marko's attacks.

"I can keep this up all night, web head. Can you?" Marko asked, his sole attention being focused on Spider-man.

Oliver looked around the construction yard when he saw the cement truck and got an idea. "Barry, move Sandman to the cement truck."

Barry nodded as he super sped away and raced around Sandman building grabbing Spider-man and moving him out of the way of the sand hammer. "Oh, nice try, Marko."

Marko tried again only for The Flash to super sped out of the way again where they stopped shoulder to shoulder like in a buddy cop movie. "You're getting warmer."

Marko growled in anger as he tried again only for the Flash to super speed them out of the way again. This time Spider-man perched up on the Flash's shoulders like they were doing leap frog. "Oh, now your cold. Come on, Marko. I thought you could do better."

"You want to see better, I'll show you better!" Marko slammed his hands on the ground and created a sand tidal wave that crashed the two heroes into the cement truck. They groaned in pain as Sandman reappeared next to them. "It's over, Spider-man. When you were the only one with powers, you had me beat. But now, King Sandman reigns supreme!"

"Your majesty." Spider-man shot some webbing into Marko's face to distract him as he and the Flash quickly got out of the way of the cement truck. "Allow us to build a statue in your honor!"

Oliver fired an explosive arrow at the truck, creating a huge hole that the cement poured out of which fell on Marko. Barry, quickly raced around him, speeding up the drying process and when he stopped, Sandman was now trapped in a cement prison.

"Michelangelo, eat your heart out." Spider-man quipped before moving his mask up a bit to spit out some sand that got caught in his mouth.

"Your villains are definitely weirder than mine. That's for sure." Barry told him.

The police took care of the scene and Spider-man instructed them to make sure they didn't crack or break Marko's cement prison until Palmer Tech could design a prison cell that he couldn't escape from. While he talked to the police and informed Captain Lance of what happened, Oliver and Barry took care of Captain Boomerang while Lyla went back to ARGUs. Dig mentioned she was thankful for Spider-man doing what he did.

Back at the bunker, Caitlin was looking over one of the arrows that was used to kill Sara. "Some of the STR markers on the DNA sample have degraded but I've got a computer back at the lab that I think will help fill in the gaps."

"Thank you, Caitlin." Felicity replied.

"I'll let you know as soon as I have the results. I'll call this time." Caitlin promised.

"It's cool. You guys are fun." Roy commented.

"So are you guys. Well, you could be if you realized you were working under a nightclub." Cisco pointed out as Oliver, Barry, and Will walked into the bunker in their regular clothes. "Oh, did you guys take care of business?"

"Digger Harkness is now cell mates with one Slade Wilson." Oliver stated.

"We've got a pipeline, he's got a gorgeous tropical island." Barry said.

"With the landmines." Felicity added as everyone looked at her weird. "It's a long story."

"And I finished with Captain Lance. Marko is stuck in his cement prison until Palmer Tech is finished with his new cell. They assure us it'll be ready soon but he's not going anywhere anytime soon." Will finished.

"We can take him back to STAR labs with us. We'll have to get a truck but we've got a meta-human prison that can hold him." Cisco offered.

"I appreciate that Cisco but Marko's one of mine. Besides, he could still have some valuable intel on the people I'm after and I won't be able to get the information if he's in another city in a secret prison." Will pointed out and they conceded that.

"What's this?" Barry walked over to two empty display cases.

"Oliver had me put these in while you guys were busy." Felicity told him.

"Is this for us?" Barry asked as Will joined him.

"For the next time you're in town." Oliver told Barry.

"There'll be a next time?"

"I'm still calling the shots." Oliver reminded him.

"We'll talk about that." Barry commented.

"Yes, we will. And then I'll call the shots." Oliver told him. "And in case you ever need to, there's one for you, Will."

"Thanks." He replied.

"We got a gift for you, too Oliver. Early Christmas present. Turns out STAR Labs industrial fabricator was based out of Starling." Cisco opened up a box to reveal a modified hoodie. Oliver was impressed and picked it up to get a better look at it. "Polymer Kevlar weave. It's 25% lighter and can carry 15% more gear. I've got some designs I'm working up that I'm really excited by."

"It's uh, it's subtle." Oliver commented.

"I wanted to replace the hood, but uh, Felicity said it had sentimental value." Cisco said and Oliver smiled at her. She was right.

"Thank you." Oliver told Cisco.

"Anytime. And Will, don't worry, I've got some designs I'm excited about for you as well. Spider-man is Spectacular right now but after a little STAR labs designing and enhancement, you'll be amazing." Cisco promised.

"And you should stop by Central City if you have the chance. We can show you around." Barry promised.

"I'm looking forward to it." Will replied. "I've been a bit of a solo act since I got my powers but I have to admit, it felt nice having some help out there. Maybe this will be an annual thing?"

"So, you guys headed back?" Roy wondered.

"It's possible that that Dr. Wells didn't sign off on us leaving town." Caitlin said.

"Hey, do you still like take the train?" Roy asked Barry.

"Yeah, sure if I feel like taking a nap. But Oliver and I have some unfinished business to take care of first." Barry told them.

"You guys aren't going to punch each other, are you?" Caitlin asked only that's exactly what they were going to do. A little competition to see who could beat who.

All in all, it was an awesome day. Captain Boomerang was taken care of, Sandman was in jail and Will now had a name for the doctor that Kingsley has working for Tombstone. He had a solid lead that would get him one step closer to bringing Kingsley down. And not just that but he had an epic team-up with another superhero. He had a gut feeling that his world was just starting to open up to how amazing it could be.

End of Chapter 7

Hoped you guys liked the chapter. We've got the crossover finished and all that's left is the mid-season finale of season 3. Things are starting to heat up.

Next chapter, Christmas time is here at last and Will spends it tracking down one Otto Octavius who has an accident that turns the meek doctor into a raging psychopath. But he's getting closer and it won't be long before Kingsley is next. Unfortunately, Oliver has some own issues to deal with regarding Sara's death.

Oliver and Will are finally good to go. There was a little drama in the beginning which I felt would have happened but they've reconciled and going to be able to work together going forward. It won't be like he's part of Team Arrow but if they ever need his help then he's there and vice versa. And some personal stuff has come to head with Thea getting closer to Will and the others and May and Quentin. That'll be fun to explore. Until next time! Everyone stay safe.
