Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Prince of the Vampires. Enjoy the 900-word chapter. I don't own Hotel Transylvania, Sony and a few others.

(Europe.)

Mavis followed after her boyfriend, curious as to who had sired the vampire prince. It was quite something interesting for her when she thought about it. Still? She knew better then to question what was probably a touchy subject.

"Gom, how's everything around here since I've been away?" Lennix questioned while he cracked a smile under his armor. "I haven't been home in a while, it's all different from how I've remembered it." Lennix added which got a nod from Gom.

"There's plenty of things that are different now, my lord." Lennix heard from Gom which caused him to sigh and shake his head. "As I said, however? Your mother isn't in the best shape. We've done everything we can. She did perk up when she heard about…" Gom started to say as Lennix rubbed at his temples.

"Why did you have to mention Mavis and ruin the surprise?" Lennix questioned while he shook his head. "Seriously, Gom. I wish you didn't do this. Mom is always going on about how I should meet someone nice." Lennix started to say while he cracked his fingers.

"Your mother is just trying to make sure you're ok before she passes on, Lennix." Gom responded which got a nod from Lennix.

"I know, Gom… It's just going to be sad when she's no longer here." Lennix stated and turned to Mavis. "You might want to go inside first. Mom always wanted to see the person she knew I cared about." Lennix said, rubbing at his armored arms nervously.

How would she react seeing Mavis? His mother was a very caring woman, but she was still a very strict woman when it came down to it. He feared more for the rejection then it was for anything. He knew his mother would be gone come the next year or so. It was still something that he hoped she approved of before she passed onwards.

"Ok, just stay here and all that." Mavis said, kissing Lennix on the cheek as he rubbed his chin. "I'll be back in a few minutes, ok?" Mavis asked while slowly walking up the last few steps herself.

"I really hope she's ok when it comes down to it." Lennix stated while he cracked his neck with a hum.

"Your mother is not someone so petty as to deny you your happiness, Lennix." Gom stated while Lennix hummed and then turned to the side.

"It was not really what I was thinking about when I thought about it." Lennix said while sighing and leaning on the wall behind him. "I just want her to accept that I'm happy with this. I don't want mom to go thinking that she failed or raised me wrong. She's been there when my old man when it came down to it…" Lennix said and shook his head once more.

His ears twitched, he heard speaking. His mother was talking, curious about what this woman had done and why she was here. It still scared him as Mavis slowly started to speak.

"High there, ma'am." Mavis said while Lennix slowly started to walk up the stairs after her. "I'm sure they've told you about me? I'm your son's girlfriend." Mavis whispered as Lennix slowly crept up the stairs, hoping to himself this DIDN'T go as stupidly as he thought it would.

He sighed mentally. It probably would, his mother would ask WHY he hadn't told her in person, Lennix would have no real answer besides wanting to surprise her which she wouldn't accept which meant more trouble. The longer this droned on? The worse Lennix felt.

He reached the top of the stairs and slowly used his magic to push the door open, peeking inside a moment later as he hummed and blinked before closing the door behind him.

"Mom?" Lennix questioned while raising an eyebrow in surprise towards her.

Lennix got no real answer which made him sigh for a moment before a small and frail voice spoke up.

"Lenny?" Lennix questioned as he hummed and cracked his fingers while he nodded.

"Yes, mom?" Lennix asked while he nodded, his fingers slowly moving at the movement. "This is Mavis. She and me met a few weeks ago." Lennix said as he sighed and slowly moved his head to the side.

He looked at the woman who looked gauntly, like a shrunken zombie. The woman was curled up in a ball with several guardians at the moment. She still looked strong enough to glare at him with green eyes.

"Hey, mom." Lennix said, closing the door behind him as he and Gom looked at the woman who was the matriarch of the family.

He was quite curious which caused him to move his mask at the time. It wasn't like he needed it around the woman who had raised him.

His mother looked at him and Mavis as the vampires interlaced their hands.

Author notes

Phew. Another chapter done! I want to apologize for this chapter being short and such. Next chapter will be in 2-10 months and will be 900-4500 words. That chapter will also show more of Mavis and Lennix's relationship along with how both of them talk to Lennix's mother and more about Lennix's past. Until then, Lighting Wolf out!
