Because I couldn't fit this in the header, I've decided to explain why I created the New Amalgam Files, what my methods and reasons for making this are and why I might end up changing entire pages on it.

You see, I'm a huge fan of the web show Death Battle and have always been fascinated by the concept of the original Amalgam Comics. So I decided to make my own version based off of Death Battle. Here are the rules with each one that comes after being more important than the last:

1. Every DC or Marvel character that appeared on Death Battle will be amalgamated with an appropriate character from the other company and have that amalgamation presented here.

2. Whenever a Death Battle episode has a DC and a Marvel character battle each other, an amalgamation will be made using both as components.

3. If a returning combatant faces an enemy from the other company twice, they will be amalgamated with the character matching them most in powers, personality, backstory, and/or relationship with another character. The remaining combatant will be paired with someone else. (For example, Wonder Woman, who has fought both Rogue and Thor, will be matched with Thor as they are both magical, immortal royalty with powers and weapons granted to them by the gods that they use to defend mankind, whereas Wonder Woman and Rogue are both superheroines...and that's it. Rogue will be paired with Crazy Jane from DC's Doom Patrol.)

4. If a new Death Battle is posted that contradicts any previous entry, that entry will be edited or even removed in conjuncture with the latest entry. (For example, initial entry for Blue Spider (Ted Kord + Peter Parker) included a character named Booster Red (Booster Gold + Mary Jane Watson). The release of Cable vs Booster Gold forced Booster Red to be removed entirely.)

5. DC's Trinity (Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman) will be amalgamated with Marvel's Big Three (Captain America, Iron Man, Thor) respectively. As well as each company's respective megavillains (Lex Luthor and Doctor Doom).
