Welcome everyone! I was inspired to write this fic after reading "Bonded" and "Bill Cipher is back" By LittleAmberAmethyst and 2021FanGirl. This fic has shorter chapters towards the beginning, however they get longer as the story progresses. This story is filled with angst and suspense, and later on, a bit of romance will be mixed into the bag. There are some things that may be triggering to some here, so later on in the story, just read on with caution. I hope you enjoy!

After Bill had been erased from existence, he found himself trapped inside the mind of Stanley pines. After weeks of plotting and planning his freedom, he had finally managed to escape, and get back into the world. But Bill knew that after the Weirdmageddon he had caused just a few months prior, he would have no where to go. Not even the Mystery Shack. Especially not the Mystery Shack. Now, with very limited power, he has found himself in the form of a "fleshbag", a body form he had once made fun of for his own enjoyment.

Off on the streets.

All alone.

There Bill stood, at a nearby bench not too far from the supermarket. What had he become? What had come over him? How could he lose everything so... easily? Bill sat down on the bench and sighed in frustration, thinking over everything that had happened this past summer. After he had been summoned by Gideon Gleeful, he was sure that he was going to make a point. And boy, did he. Unfortunately for Bill Cipher, the point had to break and fall. Be of little to no use, similar to a broken pencil tip missing its broken lead.

Bill glared whenever he looked around town at his nearby surroundings. Damage from Weirdmageddon had been repaired when he had been defeated three months ago. The buildings still standing, the businesses still running, just as they had before. There was no excess damage made around Gravity Falls. If someone would happen to be passing through town, they never would have known what had occurred in the summer. Besides, with the mayor's "Never mind all that" act, no one around the small town would be talking about it, anyway. Especially not in public spaces.

At this point, Bill had no idea what to do. Where to go. He didn't want to be stuck like this. There had to be a way out of this body. Bill assured himself that the fleshbag would only be temporary. This would certainly never be permanent. Then again, he had no sources to help him find a way out. He had no leads, no mortal friends. Hell, the only real friends he had been around for the past trillion years had been the ones he had by his side during Weirdmageddon. And even they saw him fail. Going back to see them, wherever in the multiverse they would be now, would just be awkward. Dare he say embarrassing.

Why should I bother trying? Bill asked himself, scoffing under his breath. I've already lived an endlessly long and lonely life. I've lost my power, I've lost my immortal life and the pitiful Nightmare realm that I was stuck with for so long. I've lost everything.

Bill ran a hand through his short but straight blonde hair and sighed. Perhaps he could find somewhere to stay while he figured his unusual situation out a bit more. Then again, he knew that no one in this town would bother to take him in- not even the Pines family- if they were to remember him and what he had caused. No one would want a dangerous humanized dream demon waltzing around their home. Bill shook that thought out of his head and glared down at the short grass below him.

"What am I thinking?" Bill asked himself, as if it would rid him of the situations he knew would be due to come his way in time. He scoffed. "I don't need help. I don't need anyone's help! No pathetic, mortal being is going to guide me through anything. I can do this myself!" He tried in hope, even though he was aware that there was none.

Bill looked over at the concrete sidewalk over to his left. He didn't want to give up so easily. He would find a way to become powerful again. He'd done it before, and he would do it again.

This chapter is very short. Expect chapters to be longer in the future. I just wanted to get the setting, starting point of the fic, and Bill's state of mind out of the way.
