Chapter 28

Aria's pov

As we slowly pulled apart, I nuzzled my face into his chest and he kissed the top of my head. Glancing around the living room, I saw the baseball game on the tv but couldn't tell who was playing. I slow wrapped my arms around his waist and breathed in the scent of him and his Phillies hoodie, which still smells like a mix of his old spice body wash and fresh scented laundry detergent.

"Who's playing?" I asked, looking up at him.

"Ironically, Pirates and the Phillies." He chuckled.

"Come on, let's go watch my team destroy your team for the millionth time." I teased, leading him over to the couch.

"It's on." He declared, gently pulling me onto the couch with him and wrapped his arms around me.

"I do have to ask though, how many times were you planning on walking back and forth between the house and your car?" He asked.

"If I hadn't decided to hold my breath the last time, either until I had to pee, actually knocked or I got in my car and drove off." I said and he chuckled.

He kissed the side of my head as I took his hands in mine. We can finally go back to being us again, no more other people coming into the picture; no more secrets being revealed or hidden away. Even though I know he didn't want to tell me or ever bring it up, it had been pretty obvious that he had been holding Josh in place when they had gotten into their fight to make sure neither him nor Josh could possible hurt me during it.

"That would be another homerun for The Pirates." Ezra said, brushing his lips against mine.

"You know, I should probably catch you up." He murmured and I giggled against his lips.

His lips stayed on mine while he brought me up to speed on the score of the game. As we slowly pulled apart, I rested my head against his chest. After all these years, he still remembers the kissing game we had come up with when our teams played against the other. But he's usually the one giving the kisses since The Pirates are winning most of the time. My eyelids started feeling heavy and I tried to stay awake, I don't want to miss another second with Ezra due to sleep… not when we just got back together. Ezra carefully moved us so that we were down, but I was still in his arms and sleep overcame me.

….

Slowly opening my eyes, I snuggled up against Ezra as he giggled in his sleep. Not hearing the ball game playing anymore, I rolled over to see the game recap go over The Pirates' win. Realizing that I could be late picking the boys up from soccer, I carefully got out of Ezra's arms and grabbed my phone off the coffee table, it must have fallen out of my back pocket at some point and Ezra put it there for me. Seeing that there's still almost two hours until I actually do have to pick the boys up, I quickly texted Ella.

Aria: Hey mom, I don't feel well and Ezra is completely swamped at work, would you be able to pick the boys up from soccer at four?

Ella: Of course, they can sleep over tonight in case your contagious and to make it easier for you. Is there anything that you need me to drop off from the store?

Aria: No, I don't need anything from the store. Just give the boys a kiss for me. Thank mom.

Ella: Anytime, that's what grandma's are for. Feel better and we'll see you tomorrow.

Setting my phone back on the coffee table, I felt both of Ezra's arms snake their way around my waist before gently pulling me back towards him. Just as I cuddled up to him, a sudden craving for a burger hit me. I giggled as I felt Ezra lips brush up against my ear.

"Why don't I take you out to dinner and we can talk more about everything." He suggested.

"I'd like that… but we have to go somewhere that have burgers." I told him.

"We can definitely go somewhere with burgers. But you are sweating up a storm Ar, why don't you go take a shower and I'll move your car into the garage." He said.

I handed him my car keys and he quickly pressed his lips to mine. Not wanting it to end, I cupped his face with one hand and wrapped my other arm around his neck. We both reluctantly pulled apart, so I can go take my shower and he could move my car into the garage.

"No breaking my car." I teased.

"I promise not to break your car." He promised and kissed my nose.

I made my way back downstairs to see Ezra flipping through the channels on the tv. Feels as if we had never been apart, even though we had been longer than planned. Luckily for me, I found my travel makeup kit and hairdryer that I've been looking for since what feels like forever and now
I don't have to go bare faced. When I had been packing to come home, I had created a bigger mess than the kids could have together to find my hairdryer and makeup kit. Ezra noticed me as I got closer and held out his hand and I slipped my hand in his.

"Doesn't even look like you took a shower." He chuckled, pulling me into his arms.

"That's because I found my hairdryer and makeup kit that I thought I had lost. Never occurred to me to ask if I left them here." I told him and he brushed his lips against mine.

"I am not naming one of our daughters Elsa or Anna." I said, pulling away and he chuckled.

"What? Ez, I'm serious." I told him.

"We're having twin daughters." He said softly and we shared a smile.

"I know, now you and the boys can't outnumber me anymore." I joked and he chuckled again.

"They better look like you." He whispered.

As he kissed my forehead, I cupped his face, slowly caressing the back of his neck. He rested his forehead against mine and I quickly pressed my lips to his, throwing him off a bit. We both pulled apart and he slowly trailed his thumb along my bottom lip, staring into my eyes.

"No promises on that." I murmured, giving him a small smile.

"But we also can't use the names, Audrey, Cassandra, Kennedy, Paisley, and definitely not Marion. They might be having a boy, but Spencer will still kill us if we use any of those names…. And I am actually serious on that." I told him as he draped his arm over my shoulders.

"What about Athena or Willow?" He asked and we both shook our heads no in agreement.

"How about sage or Callie?" I asked.

"I like Sage. How do you feel about Harper or Peyton with an E?" He inquired.

"Peyton for sure and I like Harper. How does Brooklyn or Zaylee sound?" I suggested.

"I like Zaylee, it's different. What do you think of Daniella?" He asked.

"That's pretty, I like it." I told him.

"Thought it was pretty too. Plus it's your parent's names combined." He said softly.

….

Ezra draped his arm over my shoulder as I nibbled on my last fry. We weren't sure about eating at the Flyout, but I had remember Hardy mentioning about taking the day off. Of course, even the drive here was a bit difficult since we had to figure out how to get through town without anyone of our friends or family seeing us.

"Want my last fry?" Ezra asked and I shook my head.

"I can barely finish my own food, it's surprising that I managed to get two burgers AND my fries." I told him.

"Well, you're not just eating for one but for three." He reminded me.

"Good point. I think we should take this slow and wait to tell anyone about us, especially the boys." I told him, taking a sip of my cherry coke.

"Agreed, and I want us to get to know each other again. Especially since we're not the same people we were four years ago." He said and I nodded in agreement.

"How many kids do you want?" I asked jokingly.

"As of now, four." He responded with a small smile.

"Good, because I already have two kids and two more on the way." I told him.

"That's funny, because so do I." He said softly.

Looking into his eyes, I gave him a small smile as he brushed his lips against my forehead. Of course, neither of us ever considered we would have twins and it's not like we'd actually be able try for twins. But learning we're expecting twins is one of the best things that could happen for us. Now we have two boys and will be having two girls soon. I had never thought that I'd be preparing for twins, let alone have four kids all together by the time I turned twenty two.

"Wanna play some pool?" Ezra asked, snapping me out of my thoughts.

"You're gonna have to teach me how to play." I told him.

"I can definitely do that." He whispered, giving me a small smile.

He chuckled as we slid out of our booth. Following him towards the pool table, I slipped my hand into his and he quickly lifted our hands and pressed a soft kiss to my hands. As we got closer, Ezra looked over at me before letting go of my hand to grab two pool sticks and handed me the shorter one. We faced the pool table and I looked over at Ezra and smirked when he turned to face me.

"No making love to me on top of here." I whispered, getting him to chuckle.

"I wasn't planning on it since there is another person here love." He said softly.

"Pretty sure you hadn't been planning on it last time either." I pointed out.

"And I'd do it again.." He whispered.

"Back to the game. Your left hand will be the bridge for the cue stick and your right goes about here, holding the cue stick." Ezra murmured against my ear.

"Now what?" I asked.

"You'll want to hit the cue ball into the others. Like this." He told me.

He placed his hands over mine and demonstrated what I'm supposed to do. It's a little shocking that I've gone almost twenty two years without actually playing a game of pool. Spencer and I would just roll the balls around every time we went to her nana's house when we were little. No one would ever actually teach us how to properly play… even if they said they would.

"Think you got it?" Ezra asked.

"What if I want to hit with the green ball or the orange striped ball?" I questioned.

"Because you have to break the balls with the cue ball, to see whether or not you'll be the striped or the solid balls. Otherwise, there would probably be a lot of fights happening on who gets stripes or solids." He told me.

"Pierce, thought you weren't working today?"

I shared a look with Ezra. Neither of us wanted anyone to know about us yet, especially before we tell the boys. Hardy showing up was NOT part of our plan to keep our relationship a secret, but it was risky coming here since Hardy does work here. Without warning, I quickly grabbed a fistful of Ezra's t-shirt and pulled him closer to me and crashed my lips to his. Wrapping my arms around his neck, I could feel him smiling into the kiss as he gently cupped my face.

"You do realize that kissing me like that will probably make your hormones go wild." He murmured, slowly trailing his thumb along my bottom lip.

"Maybe…." I trailed off, playing with his hair a bit.

"They already have." I finished before pressing my lips to his once more.

"Wanna meet me in the bathroom?" I whispered with a smirk as we pulled apart.

"Your hormones are going crazy now aren't they?" He asked, slightly amused.

"Frank, I have a proposition for you. Instead of looking for some stranger to buy the other half of the bar, I'll buy it." We heard Hardy say.

We looked to see that neither Hardy nor Frank were facing us. I glanced between the bar and the hallway that has the bathrooms, it's a fifty/fifty chance that we don't get caught. Just as I slipped my hand into Ezra's, he quickly led me towards the hallway. Even though Snookers is our place, I have to admit the bathrooms are much nicer here. The moment that we were in the hallway and out of ear shot of Frank and Hardy, Ezra gently pressed me up against the wall and caressed my face.

"Hardy had to have seen us, is he pretending he doesn't know us or something for some reason?" I asked.

"Either that or he doesn't realizes it's us. Once in college, he came back to our dorm and almost beat me up because he thought I was intruder… I was just on my bed studying." Ezra told me, and I held back a giggle.

"Was he drunk?" I asked.

"Surprisingly, he was not. But he had to wake up very early that day for a couple of midterms, he usually woke up around ten or eleven." He explained.

I pulled Ezra into the women's bathroom and he pressed me up against the door. His lips were on mine and I slowly slid my tongue into his mouth. Hearing him moan, I smirked into the kiss and he started running his hands through my hair, intertwining his finger with locks of my hair.

AN – Feel free to suggest baby names or say which ones you liked the best. Also, let me know whether you think Hardy saw them or not!
