*****I hope everyone is staying safe and sane during this Coronavirus mess, I know for myself its been a trying time and so hopefully this story is something that you will enjoy. Take Care and Stay Safe!****

"What in the actual hell is this?" he muttered as he took to watching the tv show that had taken it upon themselves to loosely, as it had been said, base on his life and those of the rest of the people in the two main areas of adventure in Louisiana Shreveport and Bon Temps. As of this moment, a scene depicting the so called loose interpretation of him was pitching the shows version of New Blood, making him come off as a cartooning, almost neutered shell of who he really was and it made him cringe almost more than get angry about. Almost. Sookie wasn't fast enough to stop him from putting a fist through the screen, feeble sparks emitting from the remains as he quickly came to regret his rash action.

"You know, that's the third TV set in the past 6 months….I warned you TV isn't the best nowadays…" with a put upon sigh, she set to cleaning up the debris. Too tired to use her preferred mortal means of a dustpan and pan, she instead used her light to repair the TV, every piece, every circuit replaced as if nothing had happened. But even her magic couldn't undo all the damage and try as she might, she couldn't get the darn thing to turn back on. It would seem magic and electronics didn't mix. "Guess I'm going to Target tomorrow."

"I can't believe they portray me as…as a pitchman. A infomercial whore….I mean, really?"

"Well, they clearly wanted to get creative with your character for the show….not the route I would have gone but the girl they got to represent Pam as your co host was pretty enough…..but I can see why it upsets you." she added, seeing that he was not taking this lightly. "But I thought you kind of liked the idea of having your life on TV, albeit in a different version….you signed the contract, after all."

"If I had known they were going to make changes like this to who and what I am, I never would have agreed to that….that madness. And your character became totally unlikable over the last couple episodes and went back to the vampire who screwed and hurt you over and over again, rather than choosing the one vampire who actually loved and respected you…..and in the end of the last episode your character on the show went with some random loser?"

The look on her face was priceless as she shook her head, laughter finally breaking out. "What a crap ending, you'd think someone was brain-dead writing that crappy ending for the character based on me…..you know, you could always-we would always, I mean, go to the studio and undo this mess. Make everyone forget this hot mess….which I may add, I still cant believe you allowed to exist." she grinned as she shook her head. "That ego of yours, always wanting to be noticed, the center of attention and did you really expect that things weren't going to be….tweaked a bit? And for someone who has valued his private life, there sure are plenty of things on this show-"

"His book." he interjected. "Bill detailed a lot of our lives in the pages of that….interesting read he wrote. I don't think he thought things through when writing and publishing it, that he was, in fact, letting some things slip that shouldn't have. Too bad I was out of action at the time, if I had known he was planning to write a book….."

"Well, people are nosy anyway and manage to learn things best left hidden anyway. But….I think it is certainly time to pull the plug on this before it gets a full season order….I mean just this first episode is….just….a warped take on our lives….me getting together with some random bearded guy…and they don't even show his face? Super lame. And your character, sorry darling, your character seems so terribly…." she didn't want to say the word she had been kept thinking since seeing his character on TV. But it was kind of hilarious too and she burst out laughing, "Neutered."

He stared at her blankly as she tried to get herself under control. "Are you done?" he finally said as she wound down, biting her lip to top from laughing further. "I mean, why in the world would anyone think that is what I would do? The reality is far form what's on this show and I get that they want to get ratings but to twist what happened with New Blood, the way I got my fortune and making me a TV pitchman?" he looked disgusted. "Please,: he spat sarcastically. "Luckily….." he hit the DVD player. "They let us watch the episodes they filmed already on a DVD before they plan on airing it on TV."

"Let me guess, we are making a road trip." she replied looking amused still, though she understood where he was coming from. After all the character based on her seemed rather fickle when it came to the men in her life, making her come of as rather cheap and annoying as the episodes rolled on. Now, having watched the ten episodes that had been sent to them on the DVDs, she had to agree. Enough was enough. "Ok, a failed experiment in getting into the Hollywood limelight somewhat. Tomorrow we go?"

"The sooner the better." I do like a good ass beating before breakfast." he gave her a mischievous grin. "They will be regretting and then forgetting they ever made this show, this Blood Truth. They are gonna see the real characters face to face."

She had made him promise that he would only play with the creators of the show before glamouring them and erasing every trace, every thought and inspiration that had been this television show. "I didn't plan on killing, though if this show made it to air, that may push me that way…..no, I merely want to run a intimidation campaign, have a little fun and get back home. Where I can give other, mire important things my undivided attention." he let her get off the plane first, his big hands sneakily pinching her rear-end as she spun around with a feigned annoyed look on her face.

"Are you never not thinking about getting into my pants?" she hissed under her breath as they headed straight for the car that he had prepared for them to get to the studios they needed to get to. "I mean, if you were going to be made into a TV pitchman on TV, at least they could have made you as one for virility and sauciness." she elbowed him playfully as her face turned serious again. "I mean it, don't kill any of these TV people, I mean, I know you're embarrassed at what they did to your character but in the end, they wont remember it and none of the public save for us two would have seen it."

"You just don't let me have any fun…..where's the fun of there isn't a good beheading?" he smirked but he did, in fact agree to stick to intimidation and glamouring to deal with this somewhat comical incident.

"If you're on your best-best-ish behavior you can have a treat later when we get home. But lets get this over and done, its going to be a long evening." she said as they got into the nondescript black SUV and headed out of the airport into the smoggy night that was a evening in LA. Already, she missed the fresh air of home but knew that they needed to do this, rectify the mistake that was this wretched show. Finally they made it through the maze of traffic to the heavily guarded studios where hundreds of people were still at work. However, doing her research and using the info they had been given when this ill-fated show was being created, Sookie knew which building they needed to focus on. All they needed to do first was get through the front gates. Once, it would have been quite simple. But times had changed and even though long dead, the late governor Burrell's task force on creating anti vamp weapons had not entirely vanished, millions of pairs of anti glamouring contacts still existed, though many pro-vamp groups had taken to help destroy the objects whenever possible. Though vamps had been able to detect those with contacts-they were able to detect a faint iridescent sheen over the eyes of those wearing them. However, there had, in recent weeks, months, there had been mostly peace between humans and vamps, though as there was always going to be, there were pockets of less savory beings within both races. Back to the here and now, the two parked their car amongst the rest of the cars in the lost, under cover of nightfall, they looked no different than anyone else strolling the lot and nearby buildings. But as they approached the front gates, gates that would look foreboding to most people, the Viking couldn't help but snort derisively.

"Don't get cocky….even if the guards do have contacts, you cant assume they aren't armed for any possible threat. Though admittedly, I don't think guards at a TV studio would even plan on dealing with the likes of you….."

"Its funny…one would think it suicidal to even approach me, given my reputation…one that Bill helped reveal in that book of his…..it is nice to maintain that air of danger and I suppose I should thank him posthumously for helping keep my reputation intact."

"Yeah, we can't let anyone know you're a secret softie." she grinned as he narrowed his steely gaze at her before smirking. "Come on, I think you being sentimental and showing your softer side is incredibly sexy…I keep telling you that….and you are nothing like the TV version they made of you…you in a billion years would never be a pitchman on an infomercial….."

"Unless I was exceedingly desperate and even then I think it would be more honorable if I staked myself." Eric said with a bemused expression. Finally, they made it to where the guard was perched in his small little shed, screens and computers surrounding him, allowing him to see everywhere in the complex. Still, he and his computers were no match for a pissed off Viking.

"Hello there. What can I do for you?" the slightly paunchy grey haired guard asked with a slight smile, though there was a glimpse of a gun at his hip, there was pepper spray there too and a taser, none of which would be effective on either of the supernatural beings before him. And it was to their good fortune that this guard was not wearing the protective lenses that would have spared him from the inevitable mind altering he was about to experience.

"We need to get to the stage where that new vampire show is being filmed. Right now." Eric was staring right into the eyes of the guard who was instantly hypnotized and Sookie looked around to make sure no one was nearby/ with the coast clear, in a few moments, they were allowed through the gates, the dazed looking guard momentarily returning to his job, not remembering what had happened. "Cool as a cucumber." she said under her breath as they stared ahead, their goal ever closer. A few minutes later, the building loomed overhead and they shared a glance before casually strolling into the building where a crew of dozens were at work filming another episode of the soon to be ill fated series, should everything go according to plan, anyway.

"Can I help you? Where are your passes? Every last person on set has to have a pass….." a anxious looking man in a casual outfit of jeans and a taupe polo shirt accosted them, a script in hand and off in the distance, a set that looked very similar to Fangtasia. Eerily so and as the actors that they had watched on the dvd back home walked out on set, clearly unaware that the real people who their characters were based on were feet away. Then recognition sunk in as this was the man who they had signed with to create this show and the man then recognized them himself, the stress clearly having affecting him from remembering the people he now knew. And, Sookie could tell, feared.

"Can we talk in your office?" Sookie asked kindly. "It won't take long and maybe your crew would like a break….I hear its long days in the life of a actor. Or for the behind the scenes people too."

And so it was them Marc Kessler led them nervously to his office, having given the signal for his crew and cast to break for a long lunch. In the confines of the office, he seemed stressed. "I am sorry for not recognizing you right away….I mean-"

"Its not like we aren't important or anything, that we signed the contract with you personally to make this show happen." a clearly annoyed Eric said. "Besides, you won't have anything to worry about if you agree that this show is a mess. We feel that you took creative liberties on these characters based on ourselves and have come to shut it down. you're looking at a permanent cancellation unless you just cooperate." with a brief flash of fang, the Viking settled back in his chair as he glanced at Sookie, who looked peeved at the veiled threat of death but knew he wasn't going to follow through. He was playing with his food as it were, trying to have some fun by mentally tormenting this man. But they had better things to do and she didn't want this to take long.

"Look, we came to ask if you would shut this show down. We are asking nicely but have a plan b we are fully ready to enact…..its pretty much inevitable, really….I just wanted this to be as pleasant as possible," Sookie was trying the peacekeeper approach, being as pleasant as she could possibly be, meanwhile, she felt the growing impatience to action to her right where the Viking was seated. Patience was certainly not one of his stronger suits. "We had second thoughts after watching the DVDs you sent us. Its….almost insulting what you did to our characters….embarrassing really and though most people wouldn't know they were based on real people…..well, we want this series to stop production."

Marc Kessler ran a hand through his dark, slightly graying hair and shook his head. "You signed a contract and it stated that some liberties may be taken with the characters we based off you. We wanted to add some humor to this." he leaned back in his chair. "My writers could have done far worse to you, and besides, who would ever think this was based on you two and your loved ones?"

"Um….well, he is pretty well known after New Blood and all but we've had our ways of keeping privacy." Sookie said cryptically. "Then again, you know what vamps can do….what I can do."

"If you didn't want this to have happened, you shouldn't have signed the contract." the director shrugged. "I made your characters different to try to avoid any similarities, I honestly thought you'd be pleased and-" he was stopped by a hand to the throat and with an even swifter motion, the Viking had removed the well concealed contacts that the man had put in and after several moments, the director was easily manipulated. And soon, he was out on the studio floor, yelling and cursing out the cast and crew to cease what they were doing and with a oh so characteristic smirk, Eric took Sookie by the hand to watch the implosion of the show taking place before them. "There are other people I need to have a chat with, of course, I mean, the head of the network, for example and form there, I can erase every last trace of this abomination. If you'll excuse me a moment, enjoy the show here while you wait." he winked and in a blur, she watched him go working his own magic on the people, getting his hands and, as she saw when he returned minutes later, fangs on anyone who had had a hand in this travesty of a show.

"Here…..take a wet nap." she said with a eye roll, producing a we towel in the blink of an eye and handing it to him. "Cant you ever eat neatly? And don't tell me you left body parts somewhere because that's kind of the opposite of what I was going for here…." she dabbed his face with the towel and looked around at the dazed people around them. In a few moments they would be recovered and with a flash of her own magic, vanished every other trace of the TV shows existence, replacing it with that of another cookie cutter, cheesy sitcom set. No one would ever be the wiser and no one, she knew, thanks to using her own abilities, would ever remember nor would there be any trace of the ill fated series. Exhausted and wanting nothing more than to leave here, she threw the towel down. "That's a wrap." she muttered to herself, leaning her head on his shoulder as they took in their clever handiwork. A bare bones set, nothing that would even remotely detail what kind of show had been worked on here. A clean slate, as it were.

"I wish canceling terrible programming was this much fun, I would have preferred a little more blood, but….." he shrugged and gave her one of those innocent looks that fooled no one. "What a blood bath I could have if I was allowed to take care of those Kardashians. What a waste of air time, the dumbing down of America that people watch and fawn over that family." he paused. "Id bet they all taste rather…..sour."

"Skanky, slutty…somewhere along those lines. " she interjected with a grin. "I like trashy TV to a point sometimes but they are just….." she made the sign of vomiting and smirked. "If only getting rid of crap tv was like this all the time, you could single handedly save millions of people from crap tv."

"I've better things to do than watch television. Sometimes I prefer the simpler times when I was growing up." the Viking said, almost wistfully. "Honestly, there's a lot to be said about pillaging and fighting to the death."

"Well, at least you've not lost your bloodlust….and your weapons collection back home means you're always ready for a good fight. But you don't hate modern living really, do you?"

"It has its perks." he replied, "Living in times far advanced and somewhat garish to my own I grew up in makes me appreciate the past more, though I do like the flash cars, I don't deny that. But its better to be in there here and now with you than to be back in the past without you."

"And there you have it, the sentimental softie makes another rare appearance…thank goodness there aren't any other cameras-omg….." her face fell as he turned to see what she was staring at but soon saw it had been a ruse. There was not a soul or camera in sight. And he turned to face her, her laugh bubbling out of her at seeing his expression of slight panic, knowing she had rattled him for her own amusement. 'Gotcha." she said as he finally laughed in response and hand in hand they left the grounds of the studio, ready to get back home-not in front of the TV. Not for some time.
