Kitsune was not enjoying being Keitaro conjoined twin. Sure she was still technique her own person but in the setup, she felt more like a walker. Everyone had somehow agreed that Keitaro was still the best person to do all the chores. And being in her "close relationship" with Keitaro now she had to help with all of it.

"Okay" Keitaro instructed "I will hold the mop on the top and you hold it on the center and use it to mop the floor"

Kitsune, well she found this all very dull, was at least happy for the distraction. With her forced drinking cleanse and the inability to walk by herself, she had quickly realized that there was a lot of time in a day. Even watching her horse race was dulled by her lack of sage.

"Okay and to the left" Keitaro instructed. But as they started to mop Kitsune heard a familiar voice. "Hiya Keitaro"

Kitsune was not exactly sure when the foot connected with her face, but she boy as heck did it hurt. And as her arms went naturally up to shield her face. Her contact with Keitaro broke and they found themselves as a heap on the ground.

"Su why did you kick me?" Kitsune raged at the small tan girl. "And how I thought you were still blind"

"Oh, hiya Kitsune, sorry I forgot that you and Keitaro were together." Su greeted her smile on full blast. "I don't need to see Keitaro, I can smell him. He smells of grapes and dispairs,"

Kitsune couldn't help but wonder if it hurt this much every time Keitaro got kicked. He may be immortal but he was not immune to pain.

When the time to study rolled around Kitsune was reluctant, to say the least. "Couldn't I just bring ya to Naru's room and then leave?" She fretted. "I want to watch my horse race."

"Well, you see the problem is Naru doesn't trust me by myself anymore" Keitaro explained, "she wants you there as a mediator so she doesn't get on the wrong side of my clumsiness."

"Fine" Kitsune relented.

**Narus room**

To Kitsune there was one gold lining, silver is too cheap for her taste. This gave her the perfect opportunity to play more of her pranks. Because with all morality aside, if Naru's attacks of physical assault to borderline attempted murder had not killed Keitaro in the past. He'd be able to suffer a little for her entertainment right?

She tried several tactics like making it seem like Keitaro touched her inappropriately, sly comments to make Keitaro flush, but the last one she got the reaction.

"Naru could I see your work for question 5?" Keitaro asked.

"Sure" Naru answered as she pasted her paper to Kitsune to give to Keitaro.

Keitaro studies it carefully before pasting it back to Kitsune.

Kitsune quickly doodles something on it before passing it back to Naru.

As Naru got her paperback she glanced at it to see all her answers had been drawn over with jokes.

What do you call it when Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, and Goofy go dancing? Waltz Disney!

The anger was obvious as the sides of the paper got crumpled by Naru's hands and a vein on her head bulged.

Keitaro noticed this and recoiled in fear, "ahh whatever I did I'm sorry."

Here it comes Kitsune thought eagerly.

"Kitsune did you do this?" Naru asked angrily.

Kitsune was completely taken.

"No, it was Keitaro he even signed his name" Kitsune replied hastily.

"Kitsune you told me this joke yesterday" Naru pointed out seething. And punched Kitsune in the arm. It wasn't one of her super Naru punches, but it hurt like hell.

"Do you know how hard I worked on these questions that you doodled over?" Naru ranted. "Do you know how much your pranks ruin things for everyone?!"

"Keitaro, I'm sorry to do this but until your eyes are better It seems there is no way for us to study together," Naru declared sadly.

Wow, Keitaro, she seems really sad about this Keitaro thought.

"I will miss your Kotatsu," Naru finished.

Is that all I am to her?! Keitaro thought in exasperation.

**later**

My pranks aren't that disrupted, are they? Kitsune thought as she tried to enjoy her horse race.

As she tried to concentrate on her lucky horse number 13 she couldn't help but remember all her pranks. Planting Naru's undergarments in Keitaro's room so he would get hit, the time she knocked Naru out to try and puppeteered her to try and get Keitaro to confess to Naru, even when I tried to set up Keitaro to kiss Shinobu to cheer him up he got kicked in the nuts.

Knock knock knock, someone was at her door.

Come in Kitsune answers. Motoko stepped in. "Kitsune I am here on important business,"

"Oh, did you come to barrow the maid outfit again to impress Keitaro?" Kitsune teased.

"No," Motoko said unphased by Kitsune teasing. "Since Keitaro is out of sorts he appointed me to be rent collector".

Well, Kitsune said nothing, you could practically hear her soul crying in anguish.

The next day Kitsune and Keitaro were still cleaning together, well the tenants had agreed to take on some of Keitaro responsibilities for him, he still had some chores. So Kitsune was back helping him.

Once the finished Kitsune insisted on stopping by Su room to check on her progress.

They enter the impossible room trees looming.

"Su where are you?" Kitsune called.

"Over here" Su called back.

"Where's here?" Kitsune asked.

"I don't know, I can't see," Su replied cheerfully.

"We're over here" Motoko called waving them over.

"Su, how is the machine to fix us coming?" Kitsune asked.

"Well, I have good news and bad news," Su explained. "The good news is the machine is done. The bad news is that the good news is a lie."

"Su, I don't think that's how good news, bad news works," Keitaro informed her.

"Su, you got to hurry-" Kitsune started to say as she went towards her and forgot she had no balance and fell on Su.

"Get away from her you pervert" Motoko shouted automatically as she slashed at Kitsune.

Luckily Keitaro stopped the flight short with his body. Not intentionally of course.

Later that day Kitsune asked Keitaro if she could help her to Haruka's tea shop.

"Hello" Keitaro called as he entered.

"Hi," Haruka answered back in her monotone voice, her cigarette firmly clenched in her mouth.

"Kitsune came to hang out if that's okay with you aunt Haruk-" Keitaro started.

"Don't call me aunt," Haruka said in what was supposed to be angry, but was just more monotone, as she smacked Keitaro.

"Ow," Kitsune complained as it hit her too.

Keitaro leads Kitsune to a chair before he hobbles out using the wall for support.

"You know, you don't have to hit Keitaro every time he calls you aunt," Kitsune complained to Haruka.

"It's his fault for calling me aunt, I have told him to stop," Haruka replied calmly.

But Kitsune was at the end of her tether she had been hit and yelled at tons in the past couple of days and it all came bubbling at Haruka.

YOU were the one who told him to call you aunt, when you were younger, in the first place. Kitsune raged.

"What is it your business if Keitaro gets hit," Haruka said simply. "You set him up to get hit harder all the time,"

Kitsune was about to fire a response back, but Haruka's last sentence hit her hard. She once again remembered all the times she got Keitaro hit or hurt.

"Do I really cause him that much pain?" she wondered aloud. "All the pranks I play on him"

"You think your pranks are the only thing that affects him," Haruka asked. "All the money you owe him he pays himself.

"He pays it out of his own pocket?" Kitsune asked. "He sacrifices his money so I can stay in spite of all the pain I cause him?"

For the first time in her life, Kitsune had to experience first hand what she put others through. It weighed heavily on her mind…
