Hello everyone! This is Yosie and I decided to finish publish a story after six years of not posting anything. I will admit this, it feels weird to post a story onto fanfic and I remember the cringing stories I posted back then. I hope this story is good enough, English isn't my strong subject but I did try my best. So if there is some grammatical mistakes, I apologize in advance ^^" A huge shout out to my best friend LadySora15 who read this chapter and gave me the okay to publish this! She's so awesome and convince me to publish this story. I've been introduce to Generator Rex almost two years and I immediately fell in love with the show! From watching the show, my little brain decides to make this story happen and Rosie came to the picture! Sorry for the long author's note, I'm still nervous about this but I hope you enjoy!

I don't own any of this except for Rosie.

Being the only child of the sixth deadliest man and a scientist with 3 PHDs does have its advantages, but it does have disadvantages. An example of the disadvantages would be asking the parents for permission to go on a trip with your best friend...who happens to be a boy..

"Can I please go to the trip dad? Pretty please?" Rosie begged her father as she followed him where he went. It reminds him of a little duckling at times. Six sat down on the sofa and looked at his newspapers, "Did you ask your mother?"

Rosie resist the urge to groan, this better not be another ask your mother and father kind of thing again. She would always for that trick every single time, but this time Rosie was prepared.

Six heard the sounds of paper rustling and he heard Rosie said, "Mom thinks that its a great idea. She said that this could be a good opportunity for me to gain independence or something like that."

Some papers were shown in front of his face and Six sigh before he set his newspaper down. There was a few papers printed out with a few pencil and marker marks on it. Rosie explained, "As you can see, the first page is the prices of the tickets. Since Ryan and his family wants to go for the weekend, we thought about getting the two parks ticket. On Thursday, we will be going to the hotel, then Friday and Saturday we'll decide on which parks to go to. Furthermore, we will return back on Sunday and I even have some money to saved up for the trip. Come on dad, Ryan and I've known each other for years now. I really want to go on this trip. Please?"

Six looked through the papers, one was the ticket prices, the other was a map, and the last paper with some upgrades on the park. Rosie has been working hard these past couple of weeks. She would do little jobs around the neighborhood and babysit her cousins to save some money.

However, Six wasn't going to let his only child go on a four day trip with a friend. Much less a friend that's a boy.

"I'm sorry Rosalind, but you're not going." Six simply said and placed the papers down on the coffee table. The second he said that, Rosie's face dropped and stayed quiet.

Even though she was silent, Rosie was internally screaming in her head. She let out a growl and stormed upstairs, Six raised his voice, "Don't slam the door!"

Rosie huffed in annoyance and slowly closed the door. There was so much anger fueling inside her and Rosie went to her bed. She picked out a pillow and shoved it on her face. Then Rosie let out a muffled scream in irritation.

Rosie threw the pillow across the room and lay down, she thought, "Why can't dad let me go? I'm responsible! Well...for the most part...but this is so unfair!"

She turned on her side and was met with a pair of brown eyes. A loud bark startled her but Rosie immediately hugged the large white and brown pit bull.

Rosie giggled when the pit bull licked her face endlessly, "You know what to do to make me smile Gizmo. You're the best boy!"

Gizmo barked and wagged his tail quickly as he hopped on the bed. Rosie scratched behind his ears and gave him kisses on his forehead. Once Rosie was calm down, Gizmo lay on his owner's lap and closed his yes.

"Oh no...I'm trapped." Rosie whispered but grabbed the remote on her nightstand and pressed a few buttons. For the rest of the hour, Rosie was watching a classic movie named the Outsiders and she watched with interest.

A faint knock on the door catch her attention and Rosie paused the movie. "Rosie? Can I come in?" Rosie heard her mother ask behind the closed door.

Rosie tried to get up but the weight on her lap stopped her from doing anything.

"Its open mom. I have Gizmo on my lap, so I'm trapped." Rosie admitted and Rebecca went inside the room. In her hands was a cup of tea and Rosie knew it was her favorite lemon and honey tea.

Rebecca handed the cup to her daughter and smiled, "I thought it could lift your spirits."

Rosie held the cup and slowly blow the steam away before she took a sip. Her eyebrow twitched slightly when she taste a lot of lemon juice. Luckily for Rosie, she mastered the arts of her facial expression. A smile appeared on her face and she whispered, "Spirits lifted. Thanks mom."

Rebecca sat beside Rosie and gave her a hug, "Ignore your father sweetie. He's being unreasonable right now but I'm sure he'll say yes."

A snort of disbelief escaped Rosie's lips and she sigh, "I doubt it. Its like he doesn't trust me with anything. What's the point in training me to fight if he won't let me go out at times?"

There was more to it that Rosie couldn't see just yet, Rebecca decides to let it come natural to Rosie.

"I suppose its probably a parent thing. Just be patient with him." Rebecca urged and pat her head. That answer didn't satisfied Rosie but didn't want to bug her mother even more.

"Is dinner ready?" Rosie asked and stretched her legs to make Gizmo wake from his slumber. The pit bull hopped off the bed and hurried out of the room with his tail wagging carelessly.

Both mother and daughter left the room together and Rosie looked at Rebecca, "What are we having for dinner?"

"I made some meatloaf." Rebecca said, it took everything in Rosie's power to not make a face. Meatloaf wasn't Rosie's favorite dish when it came to her mother's cooking.

"Thank goodness you love the meatloaf." Rosie cooed to Gizmo who looked content with himself. After dinner, Rosie had to walk the sweet canine around the woods behind her house. It was part of their normal routine to their 'normal' everyday lives.

Gizmo sniffed a few plants down the familiar pathway that he and Rosie know by now. Rosie waited him to finish doing his business and search around the woods. Nothing seems to be out of place, the crickets were heard in the background and the leaves were rustling because of the wind.

Rosie looked at at Gizmo, who was sitting beside her and let out a faint yawn. "Ready to go boy?" Rosie smiled and held dark green leash connected to the harness strapped around Gizmo.

Before the duo could leave, Rosie stopped when she heard a faint whistling noise. It echoed creepily around the woods, everything stayed quiet and Gizmo began to growled quietly.

Her heart skipped a beat and Rosie's body went stone cold, "Gizmo, lets go. Now."

With a slight tug on Gizmo's leash, Rosie lead the way back home and Gizmo hurried beside her. But the canine kept looking behind him and growled aggressively.

Rosie began to run and made sure to hold on to the leash tightly. If someone was following her, then they would have to face her parents when Rosie gets home. Gizmo began to winced and Rosie hurried to the backdoor and fiddled with the doorknob.

The poor girl jumped when the door was already opened and Six appeared in front of her. When he noticed the terrified look in his daughter's eyes, Six immediately frowned, "What happened?"

"I-I-I, I heard a whistle from the woods, Gizmo started growling while we were out there. By the time we head home, he started wincing, I-I don't know what's out there. Maybe it was all in my imagination?" Rosie rambled on and on before Six took her in the house.

Rebecca was finishing up cleaning the dishes when she noticed what was going on. "Are you okay Rosie?" Rebecca worriedly asked and went to check on Rosie.

Six slid one of his magna blades to his hand and said, "Wait inside with Rose."

Before anyone could protest, Rosie screamed when she heard the whistle in the house. Then the sound of laughter was heard outside at the background. Rosie's face immediately darken and she hurried outside, "Ryan!?"

Ryan was on the ground and started to wheeze when he saw the look on his best friend's face. "S-Sorry Rose, I couldn't pass up an opportunity to scare you."

The laughter stopped when Rosie's face turned sour and she cracked her knuckles, "Come here..."

"No." Ryan immediately cowered and got back up on his knees.

"Don't worry, I'm not going to hurt you." Rosie sweetly told him with an innocent look on her face. However, Ryan could see the evil glint in her eyes, "That's what you always say before hurting me!"

Rosie yelled at him to get back here and started to chase the boy around her backyard. Six and Rebecca watched from the porch and Gizmo hurried right behind Rosie to join the chase.

Rebecca smiled and looked up at Six, "You would think Ryan would learn his lesson at this point."

There was no reply from Six and he slightly grinned when Rosie tackled Ryan to the ground. The poor boy was in a headlock position and she yelled, "Say Uncle!"

"She's still not going to the trip with her friend." Six told his wife and she hugged his arm.

"I know but you need to trust Rosie a little bit more. There will come a day where we can't protect her forever." Rebecca pointed out and Six frowned slightly.

Looking back at Rosie, Six could see she has come a long way from the first time he began training with her. Except a handful of time, Six still sees that sweet and innocent little girl that would always rely on him for help. How he would miss those days.

"M-Mrs. Holiday! Call her down!" Ryan begged and Rosie kept him on the ground with his arm trapped in a twist hold.

Rebecca went to them and warned Rosie to let the boy go. Not wanting to get grounded, Rosie released Ryan and got back up.

"You better not do something like that again." Rosie glared.

Ryan sheepishly smiled and slowly told her that he can't promise anything.

So that ends the story for now. Depending on how busy I get this week, I'll see if I can publish another chapter. Don't worry! Rex, Bobo, and a few other characters will come in later! Thank you so much for reading and I'll talk to you all later :)
