Maxxor leaned against the railing of the balcony that was overlooking his home, Kiru City. Troubling times seem to have hit Perim. Reports of several Overworld villages have been attacked by creatures that bear a slight resemblance to Mepedians but with black scales. When Maxxor asked Prince Mudeenu and Prince Iflar, they both claimed that they didn't know these creatures and weren't their subjects. Maxxor had battled the Mepedians for years and he knows the difference between an honest truth from illusions (half of the time). The princes also mentioned that the same sort of attacks have been happening to them as well. Both Underworlders and Danians had some battlegear stolen during the raids.

It wouldn't be long until all the tribes call for a meeting in regards to these mysterious invaders and what they were planning to do next. However, the alliance had been in shambles after the Periathon (which proved to be a horrible disaster) and everyone might not be in full agreement in what would be the best course of action. Maxxor sighed. "If only you could be here, Tangeth. It would make things so much easier." As the rain clouds created the first drops, Maxxor returned back to his tower as he gets ready for a long day.

************Elsewhere in Perim******************************************************************

Standing along the shore of an overworld beach were several tents and carvens of prison wagons dotting the sand like strange figurines on a mat. One creature stood there yelling a few commands to some lackeys that resemble hyenas. "Put your backs into it!" He snarled. His red eyes focused on the crew and his black horns gleamed in the moonlight. He could have been mistaken for a Mepedian from a distance, but his scales held more similarities to fish than reptiles. Also, he didn't have the power of invisibility but he had one trick hidden in his back.

The hyenas pushed harder on the prison wagon door until it finally closed. "We can't keep doing this Bonewing! We've already had at least twelve prisoners perish on this trip and our equipment is about to shatter. Does Queen Tikali really believe that we should rule over this land?"

Without warning, a boney bat wings sprouted from behind Bonewing's back and aimed at the hyena's throat. "You dare doubt your queen?" Bonewing hissed. "May I remind you she brought you out of poverty with her good graces and you are to obey every single order she or I give to you." He leaned closer. "Do you want to be whipped like those slaves, Jagos?" He lowered his wing after the hyena shook his head. "Then, let us rest for the night and we can start again tomorrow." He walked away from the others and smirked as he listened to the frightened whispers of his men. His strides elongated with every step he took and his arched neck peered into the nearest bars of one of the prison wagons. Inside, a pair of light blue eyes gazed fearfully at him. "Don't worry dear abomination, you'll be quite useful after we conquer this 'Overworld'. After all you could be good fish bait." He laughed as he walked away.

Slowly but surely the prisoner inches toward the bars. A crusted hand grabs a bar as it lifts itself up to look at the stars of the peaceful night sky. Eyes filled with sorrow. "Kyuu…"
