Twin Bombers.

Chapter 1: The Spark.

A.N: Hello! I have a little bit of an immersion enhancer, when Renaru and Katsuki speak, they have the same VA, so imagine a shyer and much more calm Bakugou when Renaru speaks. Young Ren and Katsu are the same way.

Mitsuki slumped against the door, tired. She was normally a fiery woman, but the fire had died somewhere between eight o'clock this morning and five o'clock in the evening. Not to mention that she somehow missed her stop for the train.

Now it was ten o'clock, the single mother sighed and felt her chest constrict. 'Don't cry, Mitsuki… don't cry…' she thought. The small house was all she could afford, barely scraping by with enough for rent, school, her younger son's doctor visits, and other general expenses. She'd even go hungry if it meant her children could eat.

She went into the living room, seeing her boys on the couch, asleep in each other's arms. Her little miracles, her babies. They were twins, looking exactly like each other. She wasn't always a woman who worked a dead-end office job that barely paid for everything with borderline harassment happening around her.

She was a model, a beautiful, smoking hot bombshell of a woman. She still kept her grace and poise at work, calming down with going to the bathroom and screaming out her frustrations like a screamo rocker. Her female co-workers loved her determination and care for her boys. Her male co-workers soon learned that Mitsuki likes to beat the crap out of whoever cat-calls her.

Even her boss feared her. One of the twins stirred his little arms rising high above his head, his right hand holding a ragged Endeavor plush. He opened his reddish-brown eyes slowly, blinking and using the back of his hand to rub his eyes. He wore two long armbands and two long leg bands. They weren't cheap; they were made by a friend of hers, David Shield.

He did it for free the instant he heard of the younger Bakugou boy's condition. What was the condition? A little thing called Quirk Palsy, like its cousin Cerebral. It messed with fine motor functions and balance, but also messed with the person's quirk. Making it unwieldy and powerful.

"Mama! Katsu, Mama's home!" Renaru squealed, shaking his brother awake.

"Urgh… oh hey," Katsuki greeted, seeing his brother hugging his mom, Katsuki joined in. Mitsuki smiled and squeezed them strongly, Katsuki was the responsible one, while Renaru was the little brother, happy and willing to cheer them up and cheer them on.

Soon, there would be a day that'd change both brother's lives forever. The day dawned with Mitsuki and Renaru going out on errands while Katsuki was out with some friends, so some mother-son bonding with her younger son would have to do. Mitsuki noted how similar Renaru was to her runaway sweetheart who blessed her with her sons, but there was one difference, he was far more kind. Far more loyal. The little five-year-old held his plush like a lifeline, holding his mother's hand tightly.

He loved Endeavor. He was so cool, huge, flaming, strong, and focused. A man who gets shit done, as his mother would describe him. Renaru always saw him as a father figure, someone who he thought his dad was. It was only a child-like fantasy, but he would always dream that his father WAS Endeavor, and the only reason why he and his mom were apart was because of his work as a hero. He'd come and take them away, and they'd live happily and stinking rich.

Only for the little boy to wake up starving. He looked up at his mother, wishing that he'd get shit done like Endeavor and take care of her one day. The bank was packed with people trying to get their money, Mitsuki wanted to deposit a check. Of course, in a world of superpowered people, very rarely does anything involving a bank go exactly according to plan. It all started with the power going out and Renaru getting yanked from his mother's side.

"Good morning, Mustafu!" A man's voice yelled, pressing a blade to Renaru's neck and smirking at Mitsuki, who looked like she wanted to beat the shit out of the kidnapper. The man's quirk had everything to do with blades, and his gang did too.

Renaru wasn't scared, because he saw HIM. Endeavor was here! He was as big as he was on TV, tall and muscular. On fire! He was on fire! The Hell-Flame hero looked down at Renaru, who was starstruck. He smiled, he liked seeing someone so young admire him. It gave the number two hero a warm feeling in his chest, knowing that he was setting a good example for young kids to follow. He smirked at the man's poor attempt at holding the child hostage.

"Picking on a kid with Quirk Palsy? How shameful…" Endeavor snarled, his hand igniting. Then, the thief went flying, slamming into one of the pillars, almost certainly breaking his neck. There stood Renaru, his elbow smoking. His veins glew (or glowed) with an inner fire and Endeavor felt a small weight slam into him.

It was Renaru, squeezing Endeavor's leg. He wasn't distracted, he was tackled by his kids all the time during the scant free time he had. The kid just awakened his quirk. He was scared now. Endeavor smiled and dealt with the villains, the kid still clinging to his leg.

"It's alright, you can let go now," he chided softly, Renaru removed himself and stood sheepishly. It was so cool to see him in action, clinging to his leg and watching him burn those guys to toast was awesome.

Endeavor reached out a hand and plopped it on Renaru's head, ruffling his hair and causing Renaru to cry. That was new to Endeavor. Normally young fans never cried, but this one was smiling and crying his eyes out.

It reminded him of his youngest, how much he cared for him and how he'd see his injuries and start to cry. Endeavor took the child into his arms, extinguishing and holding him until his sobs abated.

Mitsuki tore her way past the other patrons, running to the Hell-Flame hero and her son, who looked so small in the man's arms.

"I assume that's your mother?" Endeavor asked. Renaru nodded and Endeavor put him down. He dashed to his mother and hugged her tightly.

"It's okay, Renaru… it's alright…" she assured, Renaru smiled.

"I know! 'Cause Endeavor's awesome!"

Renaru flinched, seeing the fist careening towards him. He took the punch, stumbling back and falling to his knees. He hated middle school. Everyone would mess with and bully him. Katsuki didn't watch, he couldn't do anything mostly because of his reputation. Renaru stood back up, still angry. He clenched his hands into fists, his eyes burning with murder. Something began to spark within him, something that was like a force of nature. He reared his fist back, his eyes narrowed.

His fist rocketed into the bully's mouth, and a huge explosion followed, tearing through the schoolyard and startling everyone with the amount of force it exuded. Renaru stood there, gasping and looking down at his shaking hand, finding a burning flame around his hand and arm. The bully was on the ground, teeth chalk and face a minefield of blood and broken bone. Renaru looked down at the bully, looking frightened beyond belief. He never meant to let go.

"What the-'' he breathed before getting tackled by one of the other students. Another explosion was released, and the King of Aldera Middle School appeared, dragging his brother along behind him. Leaving the kid who tackled him a bloodied fool on the ground.

"It took you that long to finally fight back?!" Katsuki snapped at his brother. Their quirks were similar, with Katsuki's involving sweat and Renaru's involving his stomach and general food intake.

"S-sorry…" Renaru mumbled.

"Sorry?! Sorry?! Damn, Ren, you fucking gave me a heart attack! One minute, you're on the ground and the next you made Jaku a piece of modern art!" Katsuki snapped, doctoring Renaru's scrapes and bruises.

"I just thought… that maybe I could be a hero like Endeavor?" Renaru reasoned.

"Well, you're not, an' now my rep is on the line! Now they know you're stronger than me!" Katsuki snarled, placing a kiss on a few of the bandages. He knew that Renaru would never let him go if he didn't do that. Katsuki aggressively hugged his brother. Ever since their mother left on a business trip, all they had was each other. Katsuki would be a demon in hell if he ever let any of Renaru's bullies push it too far.

He was meant to protect his little brother, knowing that his quirk was insanely powerful and unwieldy. His armbands and leg bands were soaked in sweat. Katsuki walked alongside him, watching for loose gravel or raised edges. He was attentive, always protective of Renaru. But he had to learn how to fight back. He couldn't just take hits. So here they were, training their hearts out, clashing their fists using their quirks. Renaru skidded, deflecting a blow with his hand.

He sent an explosion through his elbow, rocketing his fist into Katsuki's gut and sending him careening into the floor. Katsuki rebounded and tackled his brother's legs with an explosive charge. The pair fought like this all the time. In an empty lot, the pair sparred relentlessly. Renaru's balance was off, and his fighting style compensated. He clotheslined his brother, slamming him down with a heavy elbow. Katsuki smiled, 'He finally beat me!' he thought. Renaru was gasping and huffing, his arms and legs shaking mightily.

He had pushed himself a little too far. Now he was tired and his stomach was rumbling. He decided to head out on his own to get something to eat. He had a little spending money, so he headed out to his favorite restaurant. It was full of spicy food, the spicier the food, the better the fuel. He went in and ordered, seeing so many people crowded around the other tables. This place was popular. It had good food. Renaru scarfed down his food and paid with a smile.

He left the restaurant with his belly full and his mind content. Yet, he was grabbed from behind by two of his usual bullies. They held him still as Jaku from earlier stepped up to him. His face was a mess of scar tissue and burns. He rocketed his fist into Renaru's face, giving him a shiner, then pummeling him over and over. Renaru steeled himself. He wouldn't dare cry. His sparks started to ignite, but his palsy didn't make them catch, so he was up shit creek without a paddle.

His anger flared, but there was no time. Jaku's friends let him go and the bully loomed over him. Jaku's quirk was regeneration, so his ugly mug was somewhat together. He knelt, grabbing Renaru's head by the hair and hoisting his face up.

"Don't be a hero, Renaru… they don't allow crips like you to become them…" he sighed. Renaru was barely able to stand but still tried to stagger his way back home. Both of his eyes were going to be black for a while, his lip was split open and warm blood gushed from it, his spiky blond hair had some blood in it when Renaru ate the pavement.

He started to sob, "Mom's gonna kill me…" he sniffed, lamenting that he didn't fight back.

Mitsuki paced, her nervousness echoed by her older son. Renaru wasn't back yet. Normally both of them could trust Renaru to get where he said he was going, but… her thoughts did nothing to assuage her worries.

'What if he got kidnapped?!'

'What if he got hurt?!'

'What if he's dead?!' all three of Mitsuki's thoughts screamed. She shook her head. Her baby was tough, and her older baby was about to go out and find him. Then, the door opened, revealing her younger son standing there, dizzy, lip bloody and eyes nearly swollen shut. Katsuki nearly tackled his brother with concern.

"You goddamn idiot!" he snapped, looking at his face.

"You worried Mom half to fuckin' death! Now look at ya, you're a mess!" Katsuki quietly chided, cleaning the blood off. Mitsuki started forwards after Katsuki patched Renaru's lip up, hugging him.

"Sweetie… don't do that again, your brother is right," she sighed, her tired eyes looking into her younger son's purpled eyes. He looked so downtrodden. Mitsuki kissed her son on the forehead and gave him a couple of ice packs. Renaru was silent for the rest of the night. Holding the ice packs over his eyes, feeling the dull ache every time he blinked. He hated his weakness. He hated his disability. That self-loathing lodged itself deep into his mind.

If he wasn't born with this cruel detriment… he'd… he'd be a hero. His mom wouldn't have to sink so much cash into his healthcare. Renaru wanted to repay her so badly.

"Renaru, I love you to the moon and back," Mitsuki said, a nightly tradition at their house. Renaru was supposed to respond with, 'I love you to the sun and back!' or some variation. But nothing was said. She closed his door and slumped down to the floor, with Katsuki watching, she sobbed. Katsuki seethed, Jaku had to pay! Not only did that bastard call his brother a crip, but he beat the shit outta him! He sat next to his mother and hugged her, his affection was only for Renaru and his mother. God knows she went through hell and back raising them. They both aspired to be heroes so that she could retire happily.

"Mom… Renaru's strong, he'll get through this…" he assured.

"I just… didn't know people were gonna beat the hell outta him… you've been training him to fight, right?" she asked.

"Yeah, but… he doesn't wanna hurt anyone. He and Deku are cut from the same cloth or some shit," Katsuki sighed, referring to his brother's best friend, a quirkless boy named Izuku Midoriya. Izuku wasn't at school today, he was sick. So Renaru was alone.

"Has the school done anything?" Mitsuki wondered.

"Other than slapping them on the wrists? Jack," Katsuki scoffed, closing his eyes and sighing. Both of them were at an impasse. The door opened and Renaru came out, his eyes looking a lot better, but his hands were sparking, his eyes glowing with fire.

"Y'know what, Mom, Katsu? I'm sick an' tired of this shit!" he snarled, arms spread.

"I don't want you guys to have a pity party! We're the Bakugou family! We get shit done! That's what you always said, Mom! We get shit done! So tomorrow, I'mma beat the shit outta him! I'mma attach his dingus to his face! I'mma show him that I ain't a crip! I'mma show him what happens when ya piss off the wrong guy!" he vowed, his sparks starting to fire up.

Mitsuki let out a chuckle, "Wow, you two are my sons! Same fire, same bluster, same everything except gender… except Renaru's such a charmer!" she teased.

"HEY! I'm pretty charming!" Katsuki snapped.

Mitsuki laughed, her first real one in a while, hugging her sons, she kissed both of them on the cheeks.

"Whooo… I love you, brats…" she sighed.

That night, the Bakugou family slept out in the hallway. The morning came and Renaru smoothly stepped outside, his lip was cut so that it'd scar, but he smiled anyway, ready to finally show everyone what he could do.

Katsuki was going to back him up. He was done with standing by and watching. His brother was ready and raring. On their commute, however, a villain was running rampant. Katsuki and Renaru saw it, it was a gargantuan villain, taller than them even if they stood on each other's shoulders.

They ignored the villain, seeing it as normal. That was their normal. Passing heroes and villains by. Commutes stalled all the time due to villains. So many people just called into their workplaces to tell their bosses that they're going to be late. Renaru and Katsuki were on a more personal mission. Revenge for the incident yesterday. The brothers stepped into the schoolyard, a stiff, hot wind blew through the area, almost like a spaghetti western. All they needed were badass ponchos. They walked side by side, finding out that Jaku bailed. Renaru, once he got the news, grinned like a little kid on Christmas and hugged his brother tightly with one arm.

Katsuki didn't take the news well, "That little SHIT!" he thundered, his eyes wide and his hands sparking, ignoring his brother's well-natured 'let bygones be bygones' attitude. That was the main difference between Katsuki and Renaru Bakugou, their tendencies to either forgive and forget or be stuck in an unnecessary grudge match.

Katsuki tore off into the day, with them realizing it was Saturday.

"Katsuki! You don't kno- oh... dammit!" Renaru snapped, dashing headlong after his brother. He then realized that his stamina wasn't too great and skidded to a stop, huffing, and puffing, trying to cool down. His hands were sparking and firing, jolting. He knew what was coming. He had to Let Loose. Otherwise, after the intense build-up, he may have done worse damage, or end up sending his balance careening into ping-pong/pinball levels of skiddish.

He tottered, trying to find an empty spot to let go of the power he built up. Renaru found his brother curb-stomping the snot out of Jaku, the kid was barely even moving. "Don't let me hear that you beat the shit outta my brother again, asshole!" he snarled, stepping away.

Renaru stumbled into his brother, and Katsuki caught him, knowing what to do.

"Okay, okay, spark it. Spark it out, okay?" Katsuki soothed when Renaru would hold it in, he'd panic and that'd get bad for everyone. Renaru couldn't control it and was afraid of hurting anyone. Soon, both boys were only a summer away from their high school years. Renaru's shaky hands still shook without the bands, but he was still working on it. His quirk was still unwieldy and made his hands shake more. Katsuki had changed,

Renaru was drawing his hero suit in his 'Special Book' today. He had more comfy bands on his wrists, developing the rest of the suit, with many pockets on his belt for quick snacks because of his drawback. He got hungrier more often. He made the coat red and black, with silver accents. He would wear a mask, over the bottom of his face, keeping his eyes and hair hidden under a hood.

He didn't think of a name, keeping the plans for later. For now, he just had to dream about UA.

Renaru and Katsuki revitalized their relationship as brothers. Soon to be torn apart again because of UA. At least there was some sort of peace at the Bakugou household. Renaru wasn't very combative at all. While Katsuki was more combative than ever. Their two opposite natures clashed in the worst ways imaginable, like today.

"I don't understand! What crawled up your ass and died?" Renaru snapped.

Katsuki had busted into Renaru's room, grabbing his book. That book was full of art, plans for the future Bakugou Brothers agency, everything.

"There can only be one Bombing King," he growled, activating his quirk and incinerating it.

Renaru's bands were off in a second as he tackled his brother like a linebacker. They fought each other, slinging fists and feet as Renaru was body-slammed to the floor. As Katsuki was the stronger of the two physically, Renaru was stronger Quirk-wise and mentally.

By then, their mom was yanking Katsuki off of a beaten and bloodied Renaru, who knelt and tried to pick up the ashen remains of years and years of hard work and dedication. Mitsuki heard the heartbroken cries and tried to comfort him once she'd strong-armed Katsuki into his room. She'd hugged her boy close, regardless of how much he bled.

"It's going to be okay... you have other books." She reasoned. Mitsuki wanted her younger son to have another job, there were other ways

"But... one of the pictures in there was going to be for Katsu, for the day he got into UA..." Renaru sniffed, blood and snot leaking as his mother handed him a box of tissues.

He held the flow back and Mitsuki realized what he was saying.

"So, you're giving up?" she asked. She seemed a little too eager about it, and she swallowed the eagerness down.

"Yeah... I'm not all that strong, my hands shake, and my explosions can destroy the people I'm trying to protect! What kind of hero is that?!" He sobbed.

"Shh... shhh... It's okay, you don't have to compare yourself to your brother, you just have to take a leap of faith, ya know? It never hurts to try." Mitsuki soothed, petting Renaru's hair. Secretly, she was relieved to hear that her son was reconsidering it.

Renaru nodded, smiling just a little bit.

Katsuki was listening, feeling terrible about incinerating his brother's special book. He felt even more terrible as he realized how much damage he'd caused his happy little brother. He walked back to his room, closing the door behind him.

"Mom? Do you think Katsu and I would be good heroes?" Renaru asked.

"Of course! You two will be the greatest ever!" Mitsuki encouraged.

That night, when their mother was asleep, Katsuki came into Renaru's room, even if he was fourteen, Lil' Endeavor was cuddled against his chest, as Ren was curled into a little ball. He stirred, muttering about a giant grasshopper before settling back into dreams. Katsuki laid down beside his little brother, he hugged him, letting his walls down.

"Sorry... I'm so sorry..." Katsuki sniffed, smiling sadly as his brother opened up his eyes.

"Katsu? It's okay..." He said.

"No it isn't, that book was irreplaceable. I incinerated it... and that was wrong." Katsuki sighed, his softer side was exclusively for his brother and his mother only.

"What was that drawing you were gonna give me anyway?" Katsuki asked.

"Your suit," Renaru answered.

"What?" he questioned.

"Well, I drew a hypothetical hero suit for both of us." Renaru sighed quietly.

The reality hit Katsuki when his brother said that. He was jealous of his brother because his mother liked him better, he was quiet and gentle. He rarely raised his voice and was always focused on something else other than himself. Katsuki thought his brother was a better person than him, but he was just a gentle person by nature. He wanted the two of them to be heroes together.

Renaru and Katsuki stood before UA, it was a beautiful day, and Renaru was jittery with excitement. His hands shook and his

"Alright bro, this is the day that we become heroes!" Katsuki encouraged as they walked up to the front doors.

The brothers walked into an auditorium as they saw some other students. As the two brothers sat next to each other, two girls sat near them, on either side of them. One had bubblegum pink skin and small horns, with a wide smile on her face. Her eyes were black and gold. The other one had long green hair, watching Katsuki somewhat warily. Her green eyes sparkling in the dimming lights.

"Hey! What's your name?" Bubblegum greeted as Renaru stuttered a bit in response, kind of shutting down and latching on to his brother.

"His name is Renaru Bakugou, the badass next to him is me, Katsuki." Katsuki snarled, looking down on Bubblegum imperiously.

The watcher cleared her throat, clearly miffed by Katsuki's comment, "Have you any means of proving that today?" she asked, as the boy who was latched on to this 'badass' as he was called signaled to her to stop.

"Shut it, Eden! Butt out of my business!" Katsuki huffed.

The second blonde-haired boy leaned over to her, "Please forgive my brother, he's a bit of a loose cannon... My name is Renaru, you can call me Ren if you wish, I answer to both." he introduced.

"My name is Ibara Shiozaki, nice to meet you." the girl with green hair said, shaking Renaru's outstretched hand.

A ghost of a blush was on Renaru's face, he'd never been this close to another girl before... The other girl piped up, "My name is Mina Ashido!"

Renaru nodded, smirking as the program went on.

"Alright! Who's ready to ROCK?" a man in a black leather suit and bright orange sunglasses with a tall blond pompadour crowed.

There was no response.

"Alright, you hip kids and groovy cats! Lessee if you can handle what we here at UA are throwing down! Today's practical exam is gonna pit all of y'all against our patented 'Faux Villains'!" the man continued.

"It's kinda like a video game! And I understand that it may seem a bit too hard, but... some of y'all'll find it easy!" The man acknowledged. Katsuki felt his brother tense up, he gave his shoulder a reassuring squeeze.

"There are three types of villains in this test, each is marked with a certain number of points!" the man continued.

Renaru noticed there was a fourth type in the introduction packet.

"Um... e-excuse me!" Renaru called, standing as a spotlight fell on him.

"What is it, listener?" the man asked.

"I-I... Noticed there was a fourth type. Is that a mistake?" Renaru asked.

"Not at all, kid! There is a type of robot that doesn't give you any points at all! Think of the Thwomps in Mario, they're just obstacles in your way! Thank you for your attention to detail!" the man yowled. Renaru sat down as Katsuki smirked at his embarrassment.

"Now then, get out there and go beyond, PLUS ULTRA!" the man yelled. Katsuki and Renaru were separated with Ibara being with the younger twin. He started to panic, "Bro... Bro!" he called after Katsuki.

Renaru felt even more nervous as he looked to the others, some of them even have their gear and suits. He knew he wouldn't be able to get in on measly odds like this... his quirk was too powerful, and he had intended to go all out and get in without using his bands.

But now he had to. He had to use his limitations.

C'mon Ren! Be a hero!' he thought, sparks igniting between his fingers as a timer ticked down from ten.

Nine...

Eight...

Seven...

'Mom believes in you! So does Katsu!'

Six...

Five...

Four...

'Take those bands off! Show them that you belong here!'

Three...

Two...

'Just go beyond your best...'

ONE!

Renaru made a mad dash inside, seeing three robots marked with ones in front of him, he dashed towards them, using his quirk to blow them apart in a heavy right hook. 'My hands only shake when I have to do ranged attacks, If I stay close, I can wade in and blow them apart that way!' Renaru thought, going from robot to robot, seeing that they were learning.

They were staying out of his range, so he had to improvise, he held out his hand, it was shaking mightily as he aimed not for the robot, but for where it was going to go. it was a direct hit, despite the shaky hands.

He heard someone calling for help, it was that ponytailed girl from earlier that he glanced at in the auditorium. She was fending off the robot with a metal rod, holding it back, but still, it was learning. It was overpowering her slowly but surely as Renaru advanced with an explosive enhanced jump into the fray. He didn't realize that the shockwave knocked her over.

"BLASTER SHELL!" he yelled, as a corona of explosions sent the three-pointer flying backward in pieces. He ran back over to the girl. She was on the ground, her dark hair a bit loose and her dark eyes staring up at him in awe.

"You okay?" He asked, hoisting her up.

"Y-yes, I'm alright. Thank you." She said, a small smile on her face, making Renaru blush again. He found her to be rather pretty, but there were more pressing concerns at the moment, like beating his brother's score.

"Uh... you're welcome!" he stuttered, dashing off before the girl could respond with anything more. Renaru's legs protested and his arms ached. He was running out of stamina, and if his arms and legs were to cramp up, the material in his stomach would reach critical mass trying to expel the explosions. He had to Let Loose with all he had!

But what against? Which bot will receive his ire? He got his answer when he heard a metallic screech. There was a giant Godzilla-like robot looming high above the buildings. With a huge three on its shoulder. Renaru smiled, 'Oh yeah! Finally, I can live a long-held dream! FIGHTING GIANT ROBOTS!' he thought, a huge blast tore out of his feet, sending him screaming into the air.

He drew his fist back, feeling his arm ignite. He was about to hit it, when... *KA-TOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMM!* Katsuki, riding atop a hijacked one-pointer, slammed into it right as Renaru followed through. Their explosions met and they both knocked each other out.

Mitsuki was nervous. Her anger bubbling up. She would expect Katsuki to do something so dumb, but Renaru? Well, she'd have to admonish them. She saw the school nurse come out, she was a short old lady with a small smile on her face. She wore goggles and gloves, her cane was shaped like a syringe.

"Mrs. Bakugou, your sons are healing nicely, Renaru was quite the cooperative one... and quite... eh... what's the word?" she mumbled. Mitsuki had several words for both of her sons to describe them at the moment. None of them good.

"Quiet, yes!" the nurse decided. Mitsuki stormed in, seeing both of her sons laying in the beds.

"Renaru, Katsuki... I expected more outta you two! Slammin' into a giant METAL robot?! What in the wild blue hell were you two thinking?!" she yelled.

"Mom, I..." Renaru weakly offered.

"Shush! Look, I get it! You wanna be a hero, Ren... but that's not the point! Your condition will get in the way!" she cut him off.

"Mom..." he sighed, closing his eyes.

"I don't want you to get hurt! Or die! Neither one of you! And the ONE CHANCE you two get to use your quirks, you pull this?!" she ranted.

Renaru snapped, he didn't mean to do this, "SHUT UP! SHUT UP! All you do is protect me! I wanna become a hero to protect and take care of you! I don't care if I die because that comes with the territory, what I care about is you, Mom! You sacrificed so much... and... I... I wanna pay ya back!" he started to cry, he never told her the real reason why he trained until he bled.

Now? He didn't want his dream torn away from him. It didn't bother Renaru that he bled, sweat, and cried to get to this point. It made him feel hollow, that he maybe cost Katsuki his shot as well. His brother looked at him. Renaru's sadness was replaced by rage. That look was full of pity. Not that awed look that girl had. He wanted to keep feeling like that.

He wanted to feel like a hero, he wanted to be one. The spark ignited the day Endeavor saved him. It grew to a raging inferno. He would become a hero. He had the power, the will, and the determination. He was a charity case no more. All he wanted was to tear down the stigma that people with his condition couldn't be heroes. That was a stupid one.

Renaru clenched his fists, his eyes glinting with fire. Mitsuki stopped her prepared rant. Knowing that once her sons decided on something, it was hell dragging them back from it. How did she know?

She was the same, of course.
