Chapter 2

After spending the entire night walking down, a deserted road and listening to Zoe talk about how the driver with the high-beams was them and thinking maybe she did hit her head in the car crash Jack finally sees civilization. Finally spotting a town they pick up speed. Passing a sign that said "Welcome to Eureka" reminded Jack of Jo.

Shit I forgot to even send Jo a text. She is going to be so pissed now. Hey didn't Jo say she worked in a town called Eureka? I wonder if this is it? Might as well head to the local sheriff's department and see if she's there.

After having a weird conversation and getting directions from a kid who looked ten, but was in 11th grade they found their way to the sheriff's department. As they walked into the main office Jack so his wife reading her favorite magazine probably circling the personal's ads to show him how pissed she was. When the bell rang and Jo looked up and he saw a flash of recognition in her eyes before a mask of indifference and annoyance settled on her features. Jack started to explain why they were there, but got distracted by the sight a freshly brewed coffee and proceeded to fixate on it pissing Jo off even more.

So, this is why he didn't call. He should have texted though. I am definitely going to have a little fun to show him how mad I am that he didn't contact me.

As Jack went for his badge and ID Jo saw his sidearm and decided to use it as a reason to get her revenge. She quickly grabbed his arm and pinned him to the ground driving her knee into his back, and grabbing his gun in the process. While her dad was being manhandled Zoe decided to make a break for it, but sadly did not make it far.

While drinking a much-needed cup of coffee Jack explained how he and Zoe ended up in Eureka. Jack headed out with Henry who he assumed was the local mechanic leaving Zoe in a holding cell with Jo watching her.

She's a lot more angsty than I imagined when Jack talked about her. I wonder if he's told her yet about him being remarried? I bet not. I know he struggles talking with her, and that his ex-wife doesn't help the situation keeping them from really having a father-daughter relationship. Hopefully we can maybe bond a bit before he dumps this on her and I become another adult enemy in her teenaged mind. I hope Eureka can stay normal or Jack's radar is definitely going to ping. Then again this is Eureka when is it every normal.

Scene with Henry and Spencer in garage stays the same.

Scene with Perkins at the garage stays the same.

Jack stood on the side of the road as an African-American man in brown coveralls maneuvered his car off the side of the road. After asking a few simple questions Jack felt there was something off about Henry.

What was a space engineer doing in a small town and what was with that explosion earlier?
